Victoria Harbour, ON

Applesauce cake..will have a cake for the gals tomorrow and the rest goes into the freezer
Best I stop making TV dinners and sweets, freezer to of refrigerator is packed and little freezer downstairs as well..maybe start eating some vs adding to it. Lol

Off I go to meet up with the antique window lady

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Bettty .. I do the same thing ..ADD to the freezer, makes DH crazy .. I simply forget the stuff is in there, and, when I clean it out and some of it HAS to be trashed, well, I feel wasteful ..
Our apple trees are loaded, but, still not quite ready to pick'em .. ...
DH did bring blueberries home from his trip west, so, blueberry pie tomorrow, mind you, we have BIRTHDAY cake still :-)

DH had a good docs apt .. our family physician .. and .. Wed he sees the Opthamologist .. gosh, we seem way too busy with just appointments!

Sue .. glad you weren't injured .. bummer about your car :-(

Deb .. are you back ?

Katie .. how ya felling today, think about you when the Hummers are dive bombing us .. guess they'll be headed your way soon ..

Dianne .. how 's things your way ?

Best get dinner going ..

Glad I'm not the only one "M"

Just got back, omg the lady's gardens are to die for, she is very artistic, has acre upon acre of gardens

She and her daughter do sayings on old/new windows

What she has are so large, bought one of them, then she sold me 2 - 4 panes and a large narrow window, about 8 panes, almost like a door but I can see it going sideways. She said she and her daughter will go through what they have and see if there are any the size I want that they can let go..promises she will call

Lordy it's a scorcher, reminds me of New Orleans weather as everything is so damp

Yawning here, kept busy today but didn't work hard but I'm so tired, won't be a late night

On my way home. Just west of Des Moines, IA, a bit over 400 miles to do tomorrow. Trip was fun, but I'll be glad to get home.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Safe travels Deb
That was a lot of miles for such a short time,,,look forward to hearing all about it and updates as to a finish home Reno gone well

mulege, Mexico

My day started out late and slow. We had some rain and no helper.

I got laundry done and a fair amount in the garden - considering the high temps. Had to change clothes several times, the humidity is so high.

good news tonight. I came in second in a poker game and won $150. I haven't won and money in ages so I'm happy. It pays for my membership. Also helps to relieve depression.

hugs, katie

Super hot and humid already. Can't wait to see what it feels like by noon.Walked the boys very early again - then had to remove some wood ticks off of them. They are all sprawled out over the ac vents.

Safe travels Deb. Hope all of the work is completed on your home.

Oh M blueberry pie. I am assuming they are wild berries, correct?

Good to see you pop in Sue.

Woo hoo Katie! $150 is nothing to sneeze at.

Just about time for me to take the Escape into the local garage - I am pretty sure I need a new rad.

Back later if I don't melt.

Mouth watering "M" just thinking of fresh blueberry pie..usually see signs of roadside vendors but haven't seen them yet,tad early down here maybe so I'll just be envious of your tonight's desert..feel for you just thinking of Smokey, hard decision but they do have a way of telling us it's time

Few things to do before the girls get here at 9' best I get a move on

Victoria Harbour, ON

Weather same here Dianne, I will actually take winter
Rad, yikes that will be a costly fix..they do have many treatments they can add and even recore, maybe something can be done vs new one..will you do that today in this heat, maybe that's good, a/c shop
Bet the lake is too hot to swim in?

Lyndonville, NY

Hot and humid here. Can't even move!!!

Tummy is better, this has been a 4 day ordeal I do NOT want to deal with again.
Don't want to see jello for long while either.

DH is healing nicely and not being a PITA this time. His vision has improved so he isn't afraid
of everything like before. Had to be scary for him.

Waving to all, stay healthy and safe

Debbie

Glad you are both feeling better Debbie
It is extremely hot here, June put a sweater on says its way too cool
Raining off and on quite heavily

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear you and hubby are on the mend Debbie!

Dianne, I hope it is an easy fix. How is your mouth healing?

Betty, have you seen this on Facebook. A quick and easy ornament to make with a battery operated tea light and some ribbon.

It's hot and humid here. No news there. Neighbor Barbara got home yesterday. Said a temperature of 112 was reported for here last week.

I went to town and got ice cream for me and chicken legs for the dogs. Also more mangoes.

No helper but Tony shredded more chunks of palm. I've been using it to make the garden beds more friable. Our soil is mostly clay and sand and becomes quite rock-like when it dries out.

Lot of seeds sprouting. Tomatoes and basil especially. I think all the basil seeds sprouted.

I'm taking a poker break before going back to amending the garden beds.

Lindakay, isn't that just too adorable, would be easy for little ones to make
Must go downstairs and check what ribbon I have..you are such an enabler
Here is hoping Katie you win more $$$ then you could take it easy and hire workers for the gardens

Feels so tropical here with this heat..they say it will cool down towards the weekend.

Rita dropped in, Alex June's hubby, ann was away and Aline getting pre op for her hip, surgery in two weeks, maybe sooner

Lots accomplished

Pat got her piece ready with borders so she can quilt it
June is painting an insert - 3 birds and I did another block for mine quilt, getting there
Going to try and do another block later

So sorry you guys got the 'heat and humidity' .. atrocious to say the least .. we had it for 6 days, Katie, I have no idea how you suffer through it for weeks !!

LK .. I think Betty would be jolly well happy to use that li snowman ornament for the Xmas project .. fast and easy .. and inexpensive, I think I could even make a few ;-)

BBerry pies (3) are made. 2 frozen, one cooked .. will slice into the cooked one tomorrow .. I find it takes that long for the berries to settle out and the sauce to thicken up . besides, we still have CAKE ..

Hope it was a painless to the pocket book fix Dianne ..
I keep looking at my dryer and I KNOW it's going to have to be looked at .. funny thing is .. I hadn't used it for about 2 months before I threw the load of clothes in on Saturday ..

Best get on with making the salad ..

~M~

Victoria Harbour, ON

88 with a feels like 97 today "M"
The same with me, like to leave fruit pies settle a day otherwise you cut a slice and half the berries fill the pie place and none in the slice.

It's ok for you to think not fix now when laundry dries in an hour or so but in -30 yikes, think I'd look for my dryer.

Just put new potatoes and yellow beers to come, Lordy for meat do you know what I'm craving..Bologna or wieners so likely take a quick run to foodland while the other is cooking

I know I know don't forget I have food on the stove. Lol

Verona, ON

High 90's on the deck, needless to say we are inside with the ac on. These boys of mine hog the floor ac vents. I have to stand in the walk in closet to get cool.

Escape is done, did need a new rad. Vaughan didn't have anyone free to come pick me up so will collect it in the am. Have no idea what it costs but Vaughan is very fair in his prices.

Lake is like bathwater and is a disgusting muddy colour.

Can smell that BB pie M.

Just got in, sitting for a few minutes before I start emptying the car. Work not done, still painting and roofing on the garage to finish. Said he ran out of materials, though I gave my sis-in-law a check in case he needed more materials. He's supposed to pick those up tomorrow. Still waiting for sewer guy, too. I really wanted everything done!!! So frustrating! Amazing how many of my flowers got smashed, too. He told me he was going to be careful! If that's careful, I'd hate to see careless! They're perennials, and most had bloomed, but still!

Victoria Harbour, ON

House still standing, met a woman who wanted to be chatty, told her I wasn't being rude but supper was on the stove cooking.

Glad Dianne your car repairmen is fair, best you have a dependable vehicle with winter soon to be on our doorstep..funny, Missy prefers laying on back deck, in this heat I would have thought she would want to be inside.

Glad Deb you are hope and will be able to snuggle in your own bed tonight..Drats, would have been nice to have Rene's behind you but now you are home you can oversee the project..if weather is like what we've all had its not a wonder they didn't get it all done

When they did my roof and siding they also flattened my flower beds but the next year they were up and flourishing!
