Good Morning and Happy 4th of July!
God Bless all the Troops and their Families.
God Bless America and Neighbors!
We are still thinking about going to the race track, but I don't know yet.
Hi Sunshine, no not done yet just got interrupted, lol Hate when that happens because I was on a roll. lol, my plans get changed so quickly, sigh. Anyway all is good.
I am so glad you like the photo's from Liz and my visit...Need to make a new CD, sigh.
OH gosh, so Happy for Katie, Sounds like things are looking good, you can work your gardens knowing they are truly yours! Good for you.
Sue, wishing you all the best in this move, third times usually the charm, hoe it's that way you.
Hi Dianne, Oh my sure hope you heal quickly. Yeps, the weather sure can be funny! Liz and I watched a very eerie storm roll right past us. Sky had a very wicked yellow tinge, kind of scary.
...remembering when I was loosing teeth rapidly I just blended up all my food! Worked great and it was amazing how full you get!
Oh maan M, so sorry Lorna got stung, yikes right by the eye too. I hope it's less swollen, hurts like the dickens for days. Lots of ice and give her a big Armwrap.
Linda Kay, I'm glad you got a little bit of relief, sure hope the chiro can give you some more.
We watched a fireworks show last night, first time ever you could see from our yard! It was very nice.
OMG, Betty!! I could see You creating garden gates, looking forward to what you come up with. Sure am enjoying your gardens! phooey forgot to take a picture of my peonies. They are a creamy color. Oh my you and I sure think alike sometimes. I too was thinking about Bev last night. Especially when I get a good photo! And just look what came to visit yesterday!
An Oriole!! Very exciting, never seen one in my yard.
Karen, sure hope you have a wonderful visit with the grands. Awe so glad you were able to extend time, now will you drive them back? or will the parents come for a visit and get them?
Well there went the first cracker! Glad they waited till now, people are still sleeping, lol.
Alrighty...I'll get coffee and finish up my visit and move on to the next!
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends old/new
Safe travels lindakay
Joyce hate going somewhere you don't really want to go..a drop in visit will be nice
You did a great job on your counter top Joyce, really blends in nicely and just think of the savings
Did you hang you window yet? See my crappy ones. Lol. Off to the stained glass studio
Lovely Judy, great visitors you get..
I lost my camera, nowhere to be found..guess I will have to ourchase one before my trip at the end of month..Lordy, 3 weeks yesterday
Girls and I meet Wednesday..I'm doubtful about Suzanne and now Linda and her leg, will be interesting and likely last minute cancellation, can't be helped though
Greats parents are coming for vacation the 24th. They'll stay a week or so and then it'll be lonely here again.
I'm presenting a QOV tomorrow to an Air Force, Korean War Vet. at his church. They are having a special service. My first time, very nervous and I'll probably cry.
Thanks for the prayer, Marilynne - I say them daily for you, Gord, and Lorna....... hope you're safe in all this "weather" going on.
Judy - this is only move #2........ yikes - this one should be just fine!! (from SUSAN, not Sue..... lol)
Joyce - it's not that the counter is ugly - although I've thought of painting the counter to make two different colours match. The counter has a "sink cut" for a double sink, and we have a "sink & a half", so can't use the counter we got, although we may be able to use a part of the counter with no cut out..... then we'd have to "paint" it to make them match.
Bob's gone to pick up the kitchen cupboards with our friend John - gosh it's great to have friends such as he.......
Good to cry Karen, it's quite an honour to present the quilt to a hero,
Picked up more glass and now in the process of making treats for the fish fry
Will do all my stops on the way to Paul's, saves an extra trip to Midland
Sigh, SUSAN...Was good intentions and you know I've been typing at rapids speeds to get my posting done! Well, it is your 3rd home, lol...Anyway whatever number it is Good luck!
Betty, did you check you car really well for camera? Good thing you can take picture with your tablet...3 weeks, you'll be amazed at how fast they will fly by.
What an honor Karen, I hope your presentation is wonderful and yep no harm in a few tears. You probably won't be alone with tears I mean.
LOL, I've been thread jumping to share all the variety of photos...Been a fun morning reminiscing, but I have got to go eat, got a rumbling belly!
sorry - I'm being rather snarky today, and shouldn't be - good things are happening now, I'm just so stressed........ 2 moves in 6 weeks is more than I can take......
I guess the only thing I really have control over is my typing here, and that's what I'm doing.......
Bob wanted to move the washer/dryer today, and I know what that would bring - screams of obscenities through the vents from Mike, until we're actually out of here, so told Bob the movers can take them on Wed, when we get to sleep at the new home that night. Movers charge $60 for washer & freezer, nothing for dryer and dishwasher. So, why not let them move all 4? just have to empty the freezer until then.
Thought you would know who she meant Susan, with being with sue all week easy mistake..
Was Dianne who had problems with teeth, not Karen
Some days it's just hard remembering who is who. Lol
Especially when fighting to find time to post..we all know who means what I would think
No lost camera about a month ago..cleaned up craft room and likely set it somewhere and sure to God the minute I buy one I will find it
I am sorry, I didn't mean offence....... really sorry...........
I am sorry, I didn't mean offence....... really sorry...........
No problems...Give yourself an Armwrap from me...Tons on your mind, lol mine too.
OK...So enjoy this beautiful Summer Day.
I'm off to the races!! Wish us luck 'cuz we intend to do a bit of betting!
good luck, Judy - hope you win lots
thanks..... need armwraps right now...... as day gets closer, I'm more stressed...... have to pay movers for piano now, and don't have boxes, and, and, and............ never ending
Just got message from DGS in Kuwait. We send him a package about every other week and always include Gpa's homemade jerky. He always shares and says now it's so popular that everyone is sure to tell him when he has a package. Guess we're going to have to send more jerky in each package now.
No prob Susan. My choppers have been gone since early 30's. I think 4 kids in 4 1/2 years did them in, up til then I had good strong teeth.
Sounds like the jerky is a big hit! Does it take long to make?

Not really, hubby has a big smoker. He also makes his own seasoning. It's a huge family fav. all the kids teethed on it. He usually cuts & seasons it one day and smokes another.
My DH makes deer and moose jerky .. uses a dehydrator and smoker .. and 'other stuff' .. I never have really watched .. always smells awesome, and he shares with his hunting buds .. I can imagine your hubbies being a HUGE hit in Kuwait Karen :-)
Susan .. I was watching the weather channel. looks as though Clagary has had some bad stuff pass through .. and, it's heading EAST .. akkk ..
Lorna and I went to the cemetery today, after the 'downburst' yesterday, she bailed home and didn't have a good look around .. YEOWZA .. tree limbs down. some flowers battered about .. the big boss is visitng from St Catherines this coming week, so, Lorna and her 2 co workers are going to be busy cleaning up ..
Judy .. best of luck .. rubbing my 4 leaf clover for ya ...
The Mac 'n' pimento and cheese turned out well .. kinda fussy in one place, but, turned out fine ..
Off to play Scrabble .. then .. CRIMINAL MINDS (marathon weekend) :-)
Night night
~M~
Hubby has made jerky out of just about every meat he can get his hands on, even goose. Our gang, being our gang will eat most anything.
yeah, storm passed through here - some areas had some pretty big hail we heard - we just had a heavy downpour.
We needed the rain.........
Just heading to bed, sure hope you all got to enjoy July 4th..
Was a lovely family get together, afternoon temps were fantastic but sure got cool towards evening..didn't stay for fireworks, bones were too achy
fish fry was fantastic and I'm not a fish eater...all caught at the dock throughout the year
Heya :-)
Betty .. your pics, like mine, come out turned upside down .. tried to pic up the laptop and turn it around, but, it's a tad on the heavy side .. I'll fire up my iPad later ..
Supposed to be quite warm here today .. likely high 80s .. WITH a generous dash of humidity ..
Semi celebrating DH BDay today .. it's officially on Monday .. but, nicer to have it today when everyone is able to be here and enjoy ..
Would imagine y'all are busy with Independence Day celebrations .. take care, and have fun ..

Morning
Not sure why it happens on the iPad,perhaps not compatible with dg
Sunshine day today, waiting for neighborhood to wake up, will give them till 10 then I will cut grass.
Ordered all the materials I need for the project I want to do with the 2 windows, Timbrr mart will deliver tomorrow..even decided to get 4x4 solar lights for the posts, think it will add to the project
Morning everyone!
Betty, it looks like you all had a good time? We shot off fireworks in our front yard, and had all the neighbors watching.
I am here, sitting on my back patio listening to thunder in the distance. A rain storm is moving in but we will see if it gets to my home. we live near the mountains on the west side of the Las Vegas Valley and usually we get a little and the mountains hog up all of the rain. Monsoon season and the temps have dropped about 10 degrees since I came outside so I will take that. And cloudy so no direct sun. We just broke an all time record. 24 days of temps above 105.
Pills pain doctor gave me are anti inflammatory. MRI next week and then we will see. Maybe a hot. He is a friend and neighbor of my daughter and SIL. The doctor told me my SIL said if I was complaining about pain, I HAD PAIN, because I was a work horse and nothing stopped me. But this had stopped me.
Rain must be coming because I smell wet dust. Always a wonderful smell in the desert and now here comes the wind. Winds is always first. YEAH..........
First photo is canna saying I give up to the temperature record. Second is tomatoes I am going to do something with today. Third is flowers I got at Trader Jo's for $15. Two bunches. I did not notice that Peanut, the cat, tried to remove a flower until I looked at the photo.
Susan, so looking forward to having you in your new place and away from the physio. Every time he does something to you, he is throwing you a chocolate covered hook. When you respond, you have swallowed his hook and he is reeling you in and that is what he wants. It is very hard to learn to duck, but you must with people like this.
It is now raining so I am going to go dance in the rain. I have not curled my hair yet so no harm. I am still in my PJ's.
Absolutely beatiful Sharon...
Am hoping the rain is a soft rain and does wonders for your gardens
That is quick for the Mri..hope you soon get answers
Not gabbing a long time..just got in, water is running
Haven't had my legs opened that wide in many years, drove on the limited edition spider and it's so wide..
Travelled some windy roads, guess I was using tummy muscles, didn't tell the kids I can hardly move but then Greg having to help me off the machine is a clue
Lovely lunch on the lake in port carling, Greg wanted chocolate Clair's from a famous bakery, of course we had to eat those.but managed to fit a loaf of lemon and cranberry for here and greg's
Did a lot of boutiques, the lake community boutiques are like shopping on rodeo drive, was tempted to buy a orange/red top, Lordy it was pretty but not $275 worth of pretty
Did though in one of the boutiques bought a Christmas gift for Jeff..he enjoys playing cribbage, a man had hand carved and painted a kayak ( another love of jeff's) cribbage board..what do you buy for a guy that has everything? This is a nice piece, am sure he will enjoy, Greg thought he would
Mega pain in lower tummy so will have my bath, nighty, pain med and see if I can make myself comfy
This enjoying yourself is painful
Get some rest Betty. Hope you are feeling better in the morning.
When Lorna was considering purchasing a Spider, it was prior to my hip replacement.
We went to the dealership and she was able to 'sort of' get on it .. I thought NO PROB, and, I proceeded to 'assume the position' to git up and over. It never happened .... ergo .. she bought the Kawasaki side by side Mule.
Just finished the Chinese food, and, birthday cake .. pressies opened, and I am done!!!
Sharon .. loved the pics, hope you got the rain .. we have battened down the hatches here .. bad storm expected, and, as usual, I checked the radar and it looks as though it'll miss us ..
Betty, the lemon/cranberry loaf sounds yummy ..
Off to duke it out in Scrabble, and watch the womens soccer match .. Japan vs USA .
Toodles
~M~
Happy birthday to Gourd!
Just woke, maybe I pulled a muscle, sharp pain
Perhaps had I not started with 7 hrs of it. Lol
Wouldn't have been something Lorna could have handled re leg..the yellow spider is much narrower and two are more than comfortable..that white one is a big one
Gord sure is getting spoilt, celebrating and his birthday isn't till tomorrow right.
Lindakay are you making your appt with chiropractor for the a.n,?
Nice way to celebrate, fireworks and friends
My appointment is 10 am.
Great you got one so quickly
He is pretty easy to get in when I need to.
Monday, Monday ..............
Did get 'some rain' and a boom of thunder overnight, but, today looks to be sunny, hot n muggy ..
Murray and the fam are coming over .. helping DH install a ceiling fan, and, I bought him 2 really nice banners for the banner pole .. I am hoping Murray will help set both, or even one of them up .. one is of a Hummingbird, the other, of a Doe and Fawn .. I'll take a pic ..
LK sure do hope the chiro helps ..
Betty .. hope your pain has diminished ..
Off to feed some VERY noisy Crows !!!
BBL
~M~
Good morning all. Going to be a very hot and humid day here today. So all the blinds will stay closed and the AC on. I can handle a lot of the heat but not the humidity.. Guess it will be a stay quiet and read or something day.....
Sorry to read you are in pain Betty. I'm thinking we need to tie you to a comfy chair for a while.....
Happy Birthday to Gord. Sounds like some fun times up north!
Hope the chiro can help LK. I can't imagine what you go through....
Also hope things are going easier Susan. Soon it will be all over.....
Waving hello to all ~~~~~~~
Morning all,
Looks like rain then within 10 minutes it's yucky out again so we will have to see what the day brings
Timbrr mart will be here around 9 with my projects supplies, NOT that I will work on cementing in the 4x4's but I will design the windows once I caulk the one side, imagine those that need repair were the sides that faced the elements..here is my sketch for gateway entrance, I am enthused, hope it adds
As for the pain, subsided a lot more than what it was last night, didn't sleep well, thought maybe it was appendicitis
Just had a slice of lemon cranberry loaf, so moist, kept you all some
Morning everyone.
Betty, I love that design. It is going to be beautiful.
Wow, awesome! That will be really cool!
Going to be a hot one here today, too. I pulled weds in the sweet corn yesterday. I didn't get finished but I got one side of all 7 rows finished so I could fertilize them. All 10 rows are fed now. We're expecting rain for the next 4 days. They should really green up and shoot up now. Just so you know....they were knee high by the 4th of July! ;-)
Joyce they looked as though they would not have corn ears this year so it's good news you think that they will
Can you pick a date for coming here as soon as you can so that I can see what is happening in our region that weeks/weekend?
What has happened to sue, is she now on her way to California?
Put on the air here as well last night, muggy
Downstairs playing but I think it's time to go pull weeds and flowers, massive growth, can't see one for the other but a country garden is suppose to be a mishmash of plants I think.
Going to leave a message for Joe, need post holes dug

DS and fam came, ceiling fan and one of the new banners are up ..
Have booked him to install a new toilet once I buy one ..
I want an 'elevated' toilet for Lorna's bathroom .. she still uses the riser seat atop a toilet, but, the toilet been cranky the last few months, so, why not replace it, it IS 28+ years old ..
Really like the entry way panels Betty .. very creative ..
Was wondering where Sue had gotten to, as well as Katie.
Know Susan is moving ..
Best be off ..
