Forgot to say I visited neighbor Barbara last night and had a good visit.

Also, today, Tony choked up and thanked me for trusting him with the money (cash) to pay for the land. I choked up and thanked him for being so trustworthy.

Don't know if I told you that after the last Sup's meeting A man was in the elevator with me told me, choking up, how much he admired me for standing up for myself. Very validations - to coin a phrase. It was actually great feedback as the Sups all stayed stone-faced and did not respond to what I said. Other listeners get it so I guess that will be my next big windmill to tilt at.

Going to be a sunshine day..Greg dropped in for a sec, wanted to make sure battery kept its charge and that I had wheels in case they spend the night somewhere.

Mel is packing up the yellow spider and Greg is on his way to gas up the sporty model.
They are leaving for Bobcageon and Fenlon Falls, cottage country and a nice long ride for them

Summer has come to the north .. a big as# overnight thunder storm chased the bad stuff away .. we now commence frying ..
Very little sleep as Piper and Zoey were scared stiff .. Had my shot yesterday, so, I was tired .. can't really do nadda today as it's DH BDay on Monday and I want to get into town to get his gift ..
Lorna's hand is sore, but, miraculously NOT swollen anymore .. BUT .. she got stung by either a wasp or hornet right on her left temple .. her left eye is now all swollen .. jeeze looeeze .. can't win for losin !

Thinks you need to put Lorna in some bubble wrap for a while until she gets past this accident prone spell. I have those when I seem to just keep beating myself up, they way I bruise, it don't take much.

Have her take a benadryl for the bee sting.

I got my 2nd shot yesterday and so far it is working pretty good. He told me I have sciatica nerve pinched making the pain go down my leg. So I will see my chiropractor Monday and have an adjustment.

Me either!!!!! Regarding the bruises!

Not sure what is going on, I'm hungry ALL the time, have to buy some veggie munchies when I go to town..will be a quick trip, need putty for the windows, looking for a foot for one of the machine and stop at stained glass studio..thinking of picking up Chinese as a dinner for one does me 2 meals but I bought ham yesterday, should cook it, have it for 1 meal and make TV dinners with leftovers..trying to make enough meals so that mom doesn't have to cook while she sits with Riley when I do my ROADTRIP..we'll see what wins out

good morning........ yaaaaaaaaawn - so tired. Seems every day is so full of things to do, that I'm doing nothing but running around and emailing, making phone calls........

Last night Bob discovered that Ker had taken away a box of some gardening hand tools and who-knows-what-all in a box in the garage. Seems Ker's in a "you're not going to live here and you're not supposed to store stuff in the garage, so I'm going to trash it" mode. Bob says if Ker's truly thrown it out, he's going to hold back $100 from the 1 week $300 rent so will only give Ker $200 for the 1st week of July if that's the case. Oh, this is going to get ugly!

Actually love this week-end, Cooking is very casual and much of it at the fire pit.

set us back? yeah...... have to pay $250 to move the new security system we got here. If we cancel, we have to pay for 5 years contract - $2400. Not cancelling means we pay $250 for moving contract early.........
everywhere we look, someone wants $$ - except for Grace & Robert - no rent in July, and they will buy the used kitchen cabinets - we got some for free, but they were garbage that the "seller" just didn't want to pay to take to the dump.......
I'm going to the ReStore to source some out - Grace & Robert will pay for anything up to $200
Also going to go to the Public Storage to set up our account there, and move stuff we can't put in our new place, like the piano.

You're right Betty! It was Kathy, Sherry and me that were with you when we saw the fireworks. Awwwww, the memories! Speaking of which, if there's to be a September trip I have to hustle and get my passport renewed! It expires on September 19th.

M. Glad you're having some decent weather. Today is overcast and mid 70's. I'm okay with that as I've been pulling weeds in the sweet corn. I'd hate to be out there if the sun was beating down and it was hot out!

I am DONE my course, and, I 'passed', doubt anyone failed.
Now I just a bit more knowledgeable in End of Life care .. Palliation .. hope to use the info learned when things with Hospice get more involved in the fall ..

DH wanted A banner, so, I bought 3 LoL .. can NEVER make a decision .. were 4 gorgeous Hummingbird ones to chose from, that was a toughie .. also bought him another CAP !! I complain as he has so many, and I go and buy another one !!

Stopped by to see Lorna .. it's about 82F here, muggy and buggy, and she has dug out a brand new bed !!!
There was a Bleeding Heart plant doing poorly, so, instead of moving it .. she simply made an 8' bed about 6' wide .. she was covered in dirt, and, the black flies were awful! .. But, she was happy, and, her eye looks better ..

The cemetery was on LOCK DOWN .. huge big storm .. trees snapping, hail, rain .. I looked out our window .. ZILTCH, nadda, nuttin hunny .. in fact, all 3 dogs were laying out in the sun !!
Funny how Ma Nature 'does her thang' ..
And, as fate would have it, there was a service going on .. !!!!

Stir fry for supper, best get the noodles on the go ..

Susan, shaking my head, that's a lot of $$$ down the drain, I'd just be sick to my tummy knowing how far behind that. Moving experience cost and now yet another..sounds as though they weren't prepared to have renters..so sad!

Picked up fixings for spaghetti sauce (now cooking) and will put in containers so mom will have more meals made for her while I'm away.. Shopped for treats to take to fish fry tomorrow

About ready to call it a day as I will have a busy day tomorrow but have to stay up till spaghetti sauce is ready, should have waited till morning to start it

Betty, my chiropractor is in my home town.

Interesting about the weather M. Here it could be pouring rain here at the house but at the end of the lane the sun is shining. It has even rained on 1 side of the house and dry on the other side.

I had 5 teeth pulled on Monday and 10 sutures put in. Doc took out extra tissue by the abscess as it had decayed. Doc had me so frozen I didn't feel a thing until the freezing came out. And then it hit. Fortunately I had some good pain killers so I took some and laid down for a bit. I get 4 more pulled a week Tuesday and an upper plate will be put in immediately.

Hope the people who employ Lorna realize what an excellent employee they have.

Susan I hope you get yourself all moved and be able to enjoy your new place. That Mike sounds like a real a^^ and better you and Bob are away from all the bad vibes this whole move has given you two.

Need to walk the boys before it gets too dark.

Got a kitchen set of cupboards from Habitat ReStore, $350 for 8 cabinets, no countertop. Maybe we can use the countertop we have....... we'll have to see.

Anyway, Bob's on his way over with John - Bob will cut the wall, and John will break down the old counters we got Wednesday. We were prepared to accept cr*** simply because they were free.

I hope that Grace is happy with the cupboards - Bob will take them over tomorrow.

I need to stay PUT when we do move. Moving within 6 weeks is WAY too much........
We need to get boxes - the last set we used were given to our new tenants in the Park, and they've recycled them.

It is so hot and humid that I'm covered in sweat even with the fan directly on me. My glasses are steamed up.

Got the dogs fed and some plants moved.

My TV dish is out of alignment. I'm waiting for my guy in CA. to call and see if we can get it fixed.

Lots of dragonfruit flowers and many little fruits. this will be the firs year we've gotten a real crop.

Susan, We can only figure these guys deserve each other. You and Bob are wise to cut your loses, painful as that may be, and move on. I had to do it several times here and had some big losses - like you, from someone I thought was a friend. In that case, the landlady later had a duplex burn to the ground. The rest of the property is totally neglected and uninhabited. Some people are just dumb and you can't cure them.

Dianne, it hurts just reading about your dental work. I've had to have two back teeth pulled. I keep brushing the rest and hoping for the best.

Working on a letter to the IRS; hoping they will go after the Retirement liars.

Karen - so sorry for the pain you're suffering from having your teeth pulled.
My ex had his entire set of teeth pulled in one shot, when our daughter was a baby. It wasn't until she was 15 that he had a set of dentures put in. In the meantime his gums hardened to the point that he was able to eat steak & corn on the cob. It's really amazing. Then he got dentures and it took awhile for him to get used to his face filled out.........
Our daughter is now 39.

The last one I had pulled, I asked to be put out
I have taken good care of my teeth all along, and, find it so disheartening to think that taking drugs to help me in other areas, came back and attacked my tooth enamel !!

The weather that occurred out this way yesterday, is, the talk of the town .. seems the swath the 'downburst' took .. took down trees and caused crop damage ..
Lorna was able to get into her truck, but was texting me (5 miles away in the sun) that the truck was almost vibrating ! We'll go to the cemetery today yo se how her recent transplants made out ..
I had given her 2 bunches of Blue Salvia, and, some Fleece plants and Hosta to plant .. the Fleece (Goats Beard) is looking way droopy .. may have to be cut back and wait til next year for its 'showiness'.

Susan .. I woke up thinking about you, fired off a little prayer for your coming days ..

Katie .. if our humidity is bad, I can't imagine how horrid yours must be ..

Hoping once this is all behind you that you will feel so much better health wise.
I had my all my teeth out and plates put in before I turned 20 due to kidney failure
I'm on my 2nd set, pretty good for over 45 yrs, see that these are wearing down, hoping they will last me till the end..

Biggest thing is when cankers occur have them immediately files..once all the kinks have been looked after they will be like your own...I must say I didn't follow the taking them out every night..they never come out except to clean and I can eat anything

So it's purée for you for a bit...

Katie, do they still have the focus buttons on the back of the tv's for easy adjustment

"m" I transplanted some fleece plants earlier this year, they didn't do well but I know they will next spring

Good luck on your new recipe..I'm always a coward to try new recipes.

Just put spaghetti sauce in the freezer..between all the meals I've prepared she shouldn't have to cook, can just play with missy.

Kids will just play around here for the most part, swimming & fishing. Nevaeh was feeling a bit unhappy because she had to go home tomorrow and Payton , Sammi, & Brody are staying 3 weeks. So we called her mom and she gets to stay now too. Especially nice as she and Sammi are such good friends and don't get to see each other very often. It's a good bunch and they don't fuss much. Content to just be here.

No big plans for us today. We were invited to a picnic and then on to watch fireworks. I'm still debating about going. Bill doesn't want to go. He can't sit that long without getting his legs up. It's my DDs mother in law who invited us. She has this every year. I ran into her buying supplies for the party at SAMs and she was with her other son. I think he urged her to invite us. I may go just to see the kids and grandkids. I probably won't hang around for fireworks if I do.

I pulled weeds in the corn yesterday. Lordy, what a hot, slow, tiring job! We got 4 of the tomatoe plants caged as well. We have some green tomatoes. It would be nice to have a few days without rain so they have a chance to ripen. This has been crazy June weather. Hope July isn't unbearably hot, but less wet!

M, glad Lorna wasn't hurt. Hope she doesn't have too much cleanup and repair to do.

Hope your mouth is not hurting too much, Dianne. My folks both had dentures. Dad a long time, Mother not till later in life. Dad only took his out to clean, Mom, every night. I hope I get to keep mine a long time.

Susan, I painted my countertops. I used a kit called Giani Granite. Wow, what a difference! So don't give up on a counter just because it's ugly!

Katie, what does dragon fruit taste like?
