got to bed at 4am (Bob was picking up yet another load from old place, then gave John a ride home, then back here), so our cabinet installer will come by later because Bob has the LAST load to pick up. Then he'll give the keys to Ker. Blessed relief when we're DONE there, but will then have to get rid of 1/3 of this "stuff' we have...........
When the cabinets are installed, I'll be able to take pictures for kijiji.ca and sell it.

My pond is just a mess this year. Only redeeming factor is the lilies. They don't seem to mind the algae and they're blooming their hearts out!

Cut a bunch of stuff down yesterday that was starting to look sad. Still have a bunch more to do. I have a birthday party at 1:30 for my great nephew. He's 6. Haven't a clue what to get him might end up with money in his card.

I went to the hospital to have a stress test on my heart. It's a thing where they inject you with a lightly radio active material then it shows the viens and arteries in your heart. The nurse said I need to put this port in your hand so we can inject the medicine. Funny can you imagine they call it medicine when it makes you glow. Any way she poked it in me and it hurt so bad I squirmed in my seat. So hy hand hurt to even move it and it just throbbed and ached. That was Wen and just yester day it quit throbbing. I still can't use that hand I cannot grip or pull with it at all. I don't know if she hit a bone or a nerve but I am ready for this to be over.

I harvested 7 nice zukes and straight neck squash. As my oldest son was leaving he saw them and said going to eat all those I laughed and said no want some he tool a yellow and a green and said these are perfect for the barbi.

I just opened a bag of the sweet cherries I froze and are they ever good . Y ou bite dow through them and it is like having a bite of popcicle without the water taste. I will do some more next year for sure.

Ernie, call your Dr. I've had that procedure, no pain at all. It's just not right.

Hot and rainy....yuk!

It supposed to be 98 all week, but if it is like yesterday it will be over 100.

.... can't wait for Thursday until we get our cabinets in. Bob & I cleared space last night, and dragged them all in. Now we see a bit of room in our main/living room, but still only have a couch to sit on with everything piled around us. Bright side of things - we Have things to pile around us, when so many have nothing.

Ernie, I laughed at your glowing remark! I had tried frozen seedless grapes and used them in lieu of ice cubes at one Thanksgiving, kinda novelty, supposedly to be good with any clear carbonated drinks.. but for sure, it wasn't good with ginger ale!

I want to share this little bit of good news with you all.
Kelvin was selected 'again' for a continuing prison education in Raleigh, It would be for lthe past Friday, Sat. and Sun..
Yes, last year he went twice, and the second one in October was a lie. He had a rendezvous out of state with the whore, in Va. I found out through emails and his trip bag. Brought home new clothes and new bottle of cologne, and I should have known as he didn't bring his uniforms with him.
He claimed it's the truth that it is for the job and that only his sarge and him were selected from his unit and that the whore won't be there.
I made him swore on an open bible. He did, much to his disbelief. His past actions caused my insecurities and I told him, that if he lied again, satan will have a gleeful moment to bring him down and the Lord will allow it until he learnt not to mess with His Word.

Sisters and brother, he called and texted often from the facility. On Sunday, I decided not to answer his calls, nor his texts and I didn't call him at all. Kelvin became anxious and kept texting me. Being that I have one of those not so smart phones, I can fib that I never got them. Plus my landline doesn't work too well.. you all know why.

He came home Sunday evening and before he can even cross the threshold, he was busy messing with his cell. He showed me pictures of the facility and conference room as evidence that he told the truth.
And that he missed me the whole weekend.

am I happy about this? He was upset that I remained stoic, and instead said that I praise God, he is home safe.
I reminded him that it takes a while for me to return to the ever happy trusting Jaye, and he owes me that healing period.

Thank you all again for your prayers. The bible I used was the one LK gave me for my birthday.

I will be disappearing again as I have quilt blocks to finish before VBS starts next week.
Hopefully with this turn of event, I can focus continuously.

I'm stunned....... Praise the Lord - if it's to be, it will be..........!!!!!!

Jaye A very long time ago maybe 200 years a young boy had reached the time when he needed to become a man. So the chief says to him you are to hike to the top of the mountain. It should take you 3 days up and 3 days back. You can take your bow a knife and a tomahawk you may not take food you can take this blanket. . To eat you will kill rabbits or turkeys,grouse and gather berries.

So off he goes and after he had walked a long way he killed and cooked a rabbit.. The weather was good so after eating half the rabbit he rolled up in his blanket and went to sleep. the next day he woke at daylight ate some rabbit and set out for the top of the mountain . The day flew by and as time to make camp he shot a grouse. quickly he build a fire and cooked the bird he ate half the bird and rolled up in his blanket and soon was sleeping like a baby.

Day three he is awakened by the blinding bright sun . he noticed it was cooler. He was getting close to the mountain top so he thought it will get colder. he was only a few minutes from the top and suddenly a snake was in the middle of the trail to the top. The snake cried out to him please warm me I am very cold. Just put me under your shirt a short while and I will be warm enough to crawl down to warmer places. The little boy said no you will bite me. The snake assured the boy he was his friend and friends don't bite friends. At last the little boy picked up the snake and placed him under his shirt. The snake got warm and promptly bit the boy. The boy cried out you bit me now I will die, why did you bite me I gave you what you asked. I thought we were friends . The snake replied you knew what I was when you picked me up and slithered away.

I harvested two gallons of cherry tomatoes and 2 beef steaks, several summer squash and a large head of cauliflower. The grapes are growing nicely but a long way from getting ripe. The yellow plums are loaded and starting to turn color.

My hand is a lot better but still hurts when I pull on things. I thought I would see the dr by now but they haven't called. If they don't call by Friday I am calling them.

Last night, it went very well, until he reverted back to his bipolar self when he couldn't find what he needed!! That's him.. never constant with his emotions.
The predictable followed. This morning he was all apologetic, and again, I doubt his sincerities.
He has a long way to go to shed those scales!!!! Lolol. So far, Lord has removed his fangs.

To answer your question Susan. A reconciliation? I love that man, and my prayers has always been for Kelvin to repent FULLY and rededicate his life back to our Lord.
He's been saying grace lately, and that's a comforting sight.
Said he prays daily now, and if he fibbed on that.. he had grieved the Holy Spirit.

I don't count on him to change fully soon as he is too embarrassed to tell me that the whore had tricked him and he's forced to pick up work in the evenings, that I might disapprove of.
So, money wise, it hasn't changed.
Yet, he shared with me the hope that our future might be better when the state fulfilled its promise to give a 4K raise to its' workers next year.

I know with so much POSITIVE prayers going my way, God will take care of me as long as I wait on Him and TRY to remain in His righteousness.

Back to sewing. I am seeing progress!!! Hallelujah!!!

Jaye I can dehydrate tomatoes but what a waste of a good mater. Mailing them whole won't work either. I sent my Maria a lg flat rate box full and even though I packed them well they were so crushed the box was falling apart. I tried it again and used smaller tomatoes and this time she got a few that were fit to eat. She made sauce out of the first batch and fresh soup from the mashed ones from the second shipment. Sometimes I guess we try some things twice that just won't work. The process of dehydrating tomatoes makes an awful mess of the dehydrator because of all the juice.

OK that settles it, we just need to make a road trip to Ernies for tomatoes.

Last night police helicopter circling around my house, later on found out two men were found dead in their home. Now this is about half a bock from me in this usually very quiet neighborhood. Found out it was a 49 yr. old man and his 24 yr. son who were shot to death and no weapon located. Some news vans still siting at the sight. Now, I'm going to be sure to keep my doors locked. Sounds like a so called friend of one of them who killed them and he is still running loose.

Please lock your doors.

I read that story in the Readers diges about 30 40 years ago. I found it so parallel with a lot of snake in te grass types fondly called back stabbers. I thought it so thought provoking I remembered it without practice.

Dinner tonight was simple but filling. Grilled chicken thighs and skewers of veggies. Zuk slices. Mushrooms, red and gold Cherry tomatoes and Walla Walla sweet onion. The veggies were perfect I could have made a meal out of them. Linda got home just as we sat down and she did just that.

Hello Everyone,

It's been kinda busy for me. Monday we opened our daycare. The oldest is 4 yrs, the youngest 3 months. Keeps us busy, busy, busy, I tell ya, lol. Been a long time since I've had to deal with little ones all day long. Ad it doesn't bother me a bit, in fact I enjoy it. Have one little guy that will not let me out of his sight. Oh man he cried and cried when I had to leave last night to go bowling :(

Bowling is very painful for me :( I've got something wrong with my left hip and thigh and the way I bowl put a lot of strain on them. I bowl Tuesday and Wed. nights and come Thursday morning I am hurting big time, eve my hot tub isn't helping much :( But soon bowling will be over and hopefully my hip won't hurt so much. I know it's arthritis and could probably use a good cortizone shot but dang those suckers HURT!!!!

My cousin Debbie is coming back home to Cali, she does NOT like Kansas and she is not getting along to well with her sister and brother in law. So she asked me to look for her a small travel trailer and we are going to park on our property. She is going to be my back up care giver for mom, plus help me around the property in exchange for living with us. So I went on craig's list and found a 1973 19' Normad trailer for $1000. I had Debbie call the man so he could tell her what's what with the trailer. He had some other ppl coming to look at it but I guess it wasn't what they were looking for. So he is letting Debbie buy it for $250!!! I saw pictures of it and it is in good condition. Everything works and it comes with a say tow bar and propane tanks!! Sunday my son in law and I are going after it and getting it parked for Debbie. She should be home by this time next week. This is really a GOD send for me, as I am house sitting for 5 days for my cousin in Sacramento the first week of August. Then in Sept I will be gone camping for 4 days, plus I may go on a couple of rides ( not for sure on those yet). I just hope that we can make this work because I really need her help. My mom's health is not good. She has severe neck pain that is causing her to forget a lot of things and we were told that if she needs surgery it could be fatal :( Very risky surgery because the pain is more up in the base of her skull than in her neck. I think her bowling days are over with :( She is so bored she can't do anything but sit and watch tv.

I haven't been here or on FB much because I am constantly going going going lol I get up at 4 am, sit in my hot tub, take care of the chicken, water the garden then head to "work" to take care of little ones. Alls quite right now everybody napping including my daughter. She has been a little stressed with the opening of daycare and a wedding this Saturday that she is in. Tonight is rehearsal dinner, tomorrow rehearsal, Saturday the wedding. She is not happy about the dress she has to wear, lol I agree with her it is kind of ugly. Taylor is in the wedding also (a last minute thing) and her dress is so cute!!! Cristina said she will be so glad when it's over.

So that's what's been going on in this part of the country lol.......and it's dang hot too 100+ ugh

Hey Cindy. How long did it take to get your place licensed for day care. How many kids are you taking care of? I am glad it is you watching the kids. I don't think I could watch them all day.
Sorry to hear about your Mom not doing well. I will keep her in our prayers.

Takes about 30 days, right now we have 6. Not sure how many we are going to take but we can have 14 ahhhh lol. We are taking babies mostly. We have 3 month, 6 month, 1 yr, 15 month and 2 4 yr Olds. Only reason we have the two 4 yr Olds is because they were my daughter's kids from her old job, and the parents really like my daughter.
