Betty, can you share the recipe for your sliders. Hubby says they look just like the chicken and sliders he had years ago.

The General Manager at Bob's job says he'll have to find his own way into work (1 hour drive), then he can use the company van to do his job. Which means Bob will take my car. On days when I need the car, I would simply go into work with Bob, stay in Calgary to do what I need to do (Dr app't, visit friends, etc), then come home with him.
BUT, none of this is written in stone, until we see the acreage, and make up our minds then.
I'm going to talk to my cousin in Calgary, and to my daughter Michelle - get their "take" on things.

Susan, when you talk to your friends...make sure you are allowed to USE the acerage as Bob would like. Not just to rent the down stairs. If they have other plans for something and not want you to work the "farm" then you need to know that also. BUT if you just plan to rent and do a lot of walking and enjoy the view...will be so peaceful.

Cat rousted us out of our beds at 5am !! Meowing away .. wanted food, MORE food, never quite seen a cat eat as much as old Smokey .. but, we do not deny him a mouthful ..

Susan, as before, you have to make a choice, I just so hope it is an informed one, with everything in black and white, 'Ts' crossed and 'I's dotted ..You're going to have to get used to shopping in Olds, and, spending time with yourself ..

Dreary day although it says we might see sunshine

Where is all this rain coming from, says more to come for next 3 days ..ground is waterlogged

When visiting Suzanne yesterday she was saying George her 16 year old kittie went missing the day she had her heart attack..yesterday morning Lenny found him dead in the far corner of their yard..sad

No Riley , starting to lose hope

Had an email this morning, Linda wanting to know if she found a frame could she make one for her next door neighbor lol

Made a list of things I'd like to do this weekend, of course allneeding supplies so will go into town to shop for supplies

Spray painted an old chandelier black yesterday morning, want to glue a dish on each of the arms to hold a candle

Buy wood so I can cover it to set as the seat on a bench I have in secret garden
Cover two cushions for same bench

Pick up red glass so I can fire some dragon flies..sq ft of glass in blue and green

2 bags of cement for the bench mold

All this seems like a lot but each won't take long to.do

It is sprinkling here. Big windy storm came in last night, but not much rain. Today is supposed to be 40% rain.

GORGEOUS beyond expectation here in Thunder Bay ..

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Poor Suzanne re her cat being found dead .. I'd be utterly depressed .. that is just such a sad happening ..
Smokey is, at times, very weak, then he rallies, has been outside twice with the dogs this morning, they watch over him pretty carefully
Right now he's sitting with me, working on a furball .. gotta find the furball medicine, he LOVES it LoL

Best get out and do some watering, Lorna is trimming out the back yard, then she'll be heading over to the neighbours to do their grass, she'll finish our side and back acreage tomorrow .. a lotta work with DH away ..

Sunshine finally

Am I glad I headed to town early, you couldn't move, Main Street (which some of you were on in midland and the waterfront where we ate is filled with vendors, Buttertart festival' should really have had a look around but too busy for me, besides I've things to do, places to be

Last year they sold 50,000 and ran out, this year 80,000 and if running out have a bakery that will help do more..so glad it's sunshine for them

Everyone is taking advantage of the weather, they are working on beam structure for the fence next door and I'm just as Jean says flitting like a butterfly from one thing to another

Just finished the bench, going to make a couple of pillow while I empty small pond, I m bound I'm going to find the leak come hell or high water

Jean, how is your mil, is she adapting to the new facility?

Debbie, thought you might have packed your bags and come over for a visit

Linda just called, she went on limiting, farmer about an hours drive from her had old windows for sake $10-3 panes..said she had to buy spher friend 2, three for her and 2 for me
Do you think that means she'll be over soon to make a few more dragonfly windows??

This morning I stopped and bought another tree/shrub at a reforestation sale, bought up one last week as well..man was thrilled I was planting so much, asked me to come to the farm, he'd give me some saplings ..then, he asked where I lived, said he'd like to come over and seems yard?? Hmmmmm. Lol

Would be quite the day if he did, having him back and picking up Liz!

Light drizzle, but looks as though heavy rains are on their way so I decided to get out and at it, in for coffee and to watch kiln, more dragonflies firing.

Put down the heavy plastic and managed to put the pond liner in, quite the feat seeing as there was a large Boulder I had to contend with that I couldn't lift

Not an exciting Sunday morning you say? Is for me though, love the sounds of falling water closer to the house..will be smart, set some of the rock and slate then come in, do it in mini steps

BUT you know me, once I get at it I will say 'if I get at it the project will be done' lol
