Didn't sleep well last night, lots on my mind with the gals not well..called Paul this a.m and said if I could help with files while Suzanne and georgette are off I would..I might at least be able to do updates.
Sending prayers to all, looks as though we can all use them
Skitters sure are in force here as well "M". Was going to do a bit of weeding but a bit too much right now, skitters would carry me away.
Sue, hard to believe kids are out of school so soon, ours don't get out till end of month.
Do they go back early?? Are you finding study more difficult to retain?
Katie likely gets to see Amma today, will do her the world of good

sending prayers to Alice.
Betty hope you can get some sleep and rest easy. :)
In the waiting room also with coffee in hand
just finished my breakfast of champions LOL
3 sausage
3 eggs white
banana
bowl of oatmeal with almond milk
off to the gym soon.
Alice spent a week in the hospital - she was pretty darn sick...... throwing up a lot
Also, they're not sure if it was a stroke, or the brain tumour, but she was talking oddly - not saying what she was trying to: meant to say "My sister is coming over to tidy the house" turned into "My sister is going to wash my elbow". She corrected herself, but that was happening a lot. At cancer care they said "Where is Alice and what have you done with her" because she wasn't sounding like herself at all. Anyway, she's home now, and facing the inevitable.........
Very sad Susan..
Barb, sounds like you are have mega fun and enjoying the new friendship, excited for you
That's a long time Sue to be off, much longer than our kids..before you know it you will have all levels and a thriving business..not sure why I thought you were in the country? Is there a population where you live for the services?
No rest, Paul is taking me up on my offer.,he needs suspzanne's files picked up and brought to Barrie so I'll grab a sandwich and head out
Oooooh that soup looks awesome. I love beef barley soup. Hubby & I will eat it but rest of household won't so don't make it.
The dogs get the carrots :-)
Sue, would travel to a bigger centre/city, take long?
Perhaps you could hook up with a salon?
Karen, DH is a great soup maker .. but, makes way too much !!
Sharing a couple of pics of him on the patio with the cat and a couple of the dogs .. this was about 10 days ago .. haven't had good weather since !!!
~M~
My hubby's special is French Onion soup. He saves all the drippings & bones from Christmas prime rib roast and uses it for his soup starter.
That sounds so good Karen. I'm drooling because I love French Onion soup......
Boys are all doing well, Thanks for asking.
Had very quick visit with Kyle, a few days ago, he came to town to grab the girl friend, and they went to Vegas for vacation. He proposed again, with a new ring !
Says maybe June/July next year for wedding. They will get it figured out.
Waylon and his girlfriend just moved into a cute little house, with one other person. Seems like it will be much better arrangements than what he had. He sounds very happy.
Levi and Meg are going to be going to Jamaica. They will be here for a few days, gone for 5, then back again for a few days. Looking forward to seeing them. Even though it means I have to clean up the guest room. :)
healing thoughts for all in need, ♡♡♡ Hugs to Y'All
New tenants came by and paid their damage deposit tonight - will pay their 1/2 mo rent by the 15th.
We go camping 3rd week of June. Looking forward to the break........
Morning all,
Early morning it is
Good news Susan, yes, you sure do need a vacation..where will you be able to park your every at the new home?
"m" that sure sure looks scrumptious, hmmm guess my favourite would be tomato macaroni
Karen, smart move on hubby's keeping the drippings
What a wonderful post Thunder, all doing well and on home soil.
Sue, sure hope this new road you are travelling works well for you.
Lindakay how did getting the injection go? You heading home today? How does the new wheels drive
Can't sleep, tummy churning, worried about Suzanne..hospital transfers her at 5a.m. To Newmarket facility.
To pass the time I'm hand sewing a binding and just made muffins, enough for us all
Toss me a muffin Betty ..
Little sleep here, nervous re DH eye apt @9am, then my injection at 11am .. HATE shots ..
Furnace is rollin along, only 41F out .. should go to abbot 70F when all's said and done.
Haven't made French Onion soup in a long time .. Yummmy
Susan, here's hoping things are looking up for you ..
LK, hope you're doing well ..
Betty .. thoughts and prayers for Suzanne .. Darlene as well ..
Best get some cereal
~M~
I'll take a muffing too this morning. Up most of the night with leg cramps and that darn old Morton's Neuroma. Got some knitting done though.......LOL
Sending prayers to all in need and gentle hugs for those getting shots. Funny but the only ones that bother me are from the dentist. Can't stand them in my mouth....
Off to the shower and then to knitting this afternoon.....
Muffin for me too even though I'm not supposed to.
I guess I'm weird as I don't mind needles so much, except when user won't listen as to which veins work best. Don't care much for actual shots but they don't bother me much.
Sitting here waiting for rain so I can see how my new rain chain works. We do need the rain too. It has been a bit warmer.
Morning everyone.
Betty, I'll have a muffin too!
"M", I love french onion soup as well. Last week hubby and I went to Applebees for dinner, I ordered the french onion soup and the wedge salad. When I got my soup, it had fresh raw onions in it, not the normal soft sauteed onions it normally has. When I asked the waiter what is up with the onions, he had no clue. He went to talk to the cook, and was told that is how we do it here. I told him to tell the cook to open up a cook book, because that is not true french onion soup!
I am back home. Dr. Said he will keep giving me injections as long as I need them. I did get a referral, I need to call this morning when they open, and see if they take my insurance.
Betty - because we still own the mobile home, we still have rights to park our motorhome at the Park.
I have a 1:20 app't with my Dr re: my knees...........
Well that will help lindakay with the pain..here is hoping they take the insurance!
Are you feeling a difference?
That's good Susan
Last I heard at 10 they hadn't taken Suzanne in yet so sitting waiting for a call
In the meantime helping by calling a few of her clients
Lordy, helper is here again, he came yesterday and I sent him to Rita's to cut grass and do the trimming seeing she is unwell with cold, just came back looking for more work, sigh, grass doesn't grow as quick as he would like I guess
Told him to edge the gardens, hear him cleaning out one of the beds that has rock, Lordy no help then he is here every day
Betty - how is Darlene?
Betty, you are too nice. You need to tell him, sorry no work today.
Home .. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ... OUCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll live, but, it was a BIG pinch !!!
Waiting to se if I grown wings, horns or warts LoL
DH had a wonderful apt .. eye pressure is DOWN !!!!!!! Eye doc is VERY happy, us as well ..
LK, glad to see you're back and feeling better ..
Betty .. I am with LK .. tell the guy NO work ..
BBL
~M~
Well, I had him move two shrubs that overtook the pathway to the big pond, he is going around all the beds, sure does look nice
Not bad if he just comes once a week..said he didn't even care if I paid him, bored and nothing to do
Talk about bored, ME ME ME no housework, or very little
Few weeds. Lol
Imagine me saying such a thin😜
Hoping to cut the grass before it rains, can feel it in the air
Greg and Mel are headin north to a resort, about 80 spiders off for the weekend, think they will get wet
Susan, no news on Darlene until after her doc spots mid June
Still no news on Suzanne, starting to get antsy
I am sitting here on my back patio enjoying our cool down. DH just got up, dressed and settled. He is reading the paper and having his tea. He wanted cold cereal today. Today our high will be around 85. Maybe rain but I looked at the radar and it looks like the hurricane moisture is moving toward Arizona. There are large mountains between us and they always trap the moisture on the other side of the mountains. We are down in a valley surrounded on all sides by mountains. When you fly into our area yo can see the green on the other side of th mountains and then our brown. But it is a pretty brown. Hehehehe
Betty I had to jump in and tell you about my helper. By the time he disappeared he was in to me for over $500. Totally my fault and I knew I was setting myself up but I felt sorry for him and is family. He always had an emergency, and he probably did, and "Missy Winter" was his help line. And when he would show up for work and he owed me money, I still paid him because I knew it meant food on their table. Israel, his name, just disappeared. All of his friends think the whole family went back to Mexico.
Then my last guy, middle age, not quite 60, Caucasian, good gardener and expensive. I was his bankroll for quite a few months. In the early spring and late summer, there is a lot of planting and fertilizing to be done. He would just text me and say he was in the front landscape doing a few things. I always joined in with the gardening. Nothing better than to garden, cut back plants or whatever, throw the waste to the side and some one come up and pick it up. He knew if he showed up I would pay him. So one day I texted him and told him enough was enough and I was spending way to much on his work. That I had hired a housekeeper and I would be doing the gardening myself. Mind you, I have a landscape crew that comes every Tuesday.
So now on Monday i do a bunch of clean up, rake it into pies d the crew on Tuesday cleans up my piles of debris. And if I need bags of soil moved or heavy work like that, I just text their supervisor an one of them stops by to help. Th crew i in the neighborhood 5 days a week. They actually helped me get DH, Vern, up one time when he fell and I could not get him up. They are sweet guys and I take good care of them.
So what I am trying to say, it stay on top of this guy. He knows you are a sweetheart and an easy touch and "He will take advantage". He cannot help himself.
My guy moved on and is probably doing the same thing to some other lady who has her hands full with life.
Maybe he best way o handle him is to sit him down and look him in the eye and find out what is really going on and what he expects and what you expect so you are both on the same page.
thanks Sharon, either than a $20 and a $10 in advance I wouldn't go higher..have to say he sure did a great job..certainly earns his pay.
Got a call from Lenny, Suzanne had a double stunt on upper right, she had a rip in lower left, did balloon?? I couldn't quite figure out what he was saying but she is resting well
Kate, I am surprised you did not have a melt down before this. I am getting so fed up with so many different things, I am about to have a melt down. Insurance, government, and the list could go on and on.
I am so gad Sue you got a good tenant. That other piece of garbage would have been a tenant from hell.
Marilyn, so happy about DH's eyes. And your pain reduction. I hope I am not getting people mixed up.
Betty, take care of your friends and know we are all here for them.
It is 1:30 and I have not gotten dressed yet but on my way to take the curlers out of my hair and do so.
I usually only lurk but could not let the worker ass by without a comment To problem to close to home.
Hugs, Sharon
Great news Betty.
Glad to hear she is done with surgery. We will keep her in our prayers for a speedy recovery.
"M", I am glad to hear the pressure is better in hubbies eyes.
How often do you have to have your shots?
Thank you all,
Is good news "M". You should celebrate and order in. Lol
Wonderful news Betty and "M". Keeping all in my prayers.
Well, Dr gave me hydromorphine, T3's, and a gel to put on the "affected areas", and I've taken my 1st doses of each....... Feeling not too shabby. BUT, will still not overdo, because I'm not feeling the pain I was........
I know - I've already been told not to get addicted to the morphine, and not to overdo to where I injure myself more
and the Dr has also requested (on an urgent basis) for me to have a new MRI done, because I told him that when it's bad and I'm out shopping, I use a wheelchair. Also, that my cane is my constant companion (and we're not even married!!) that I would rather not have. Told him my family & friends are saying I'm not having quality of life......
btw - the hydromorphine is a slow release that I take once when I get up and one close to bedtime.
Had a LONG discussion with my daughter (paralegal in real estate law office) about all the things we need to know about re: our own home we're renting out, and the place we are renting and living in. Thank GOD I have her to help me look after my best interests. She make me scared and also made me "sit up and take notice". I have a lot of research to do, re: Alberta provincial law, governing rentals........
Looks like everyone is getting their health looked after..Susan don't know if I'd want tenants and yesterday laws are on their side (good for you as a tenant) smart lady getting the what ifs and what does from your daughter,
Was in a sound sleep the Dar called, wanted to chat, now I'm wide awake..should get up and do something for awhile
50 million and 50 1 million draws tonight, so wish I'd win the big one, not for me but think of all my friends/family I could spoil.. Dreaming. Lol
You need to have a ticket to win.
