Omg Dianne, you've got me laughing..they sure aren't stressed out by newcomers lol
Was Duke hidden somewhere saying 'I don't want to get into trouble'

Perhaps it's warmer outside than in

Dianne, I can see the thundering heard jumping in the truck.
Years ago, we had a horse, that would jump the fence and try to get on the school bus with us kids. Dad finally had to lock him in the barn till the bus picked us up!
Betty - apparently our place is "uninhabitable". She wants us to re-scrub everything down. If she had somewhere else to go, she would have. I thought I'd left it in the agreement that she was to paint, but apparently not - so we'll buy paint, I'll hire someone to clean again (the cupboards and drawers are squeaky clean.....). The floors and walls weren't washed. Bob spent more time on our new place......
Anyway, if she repeated "uninhabitable" one more time........ as it was, at one point I left the home in tears and went to my car. She's a harda**, and had me upset - putting me down all the time.
Well, as she said - it's not a lease, just a month to month, so I expect she'll find somewhere else to move if we don't live up to her "want list" in 1 week's time.
I'm checking on the prices of a cleaning crew of 2.
That is pretty cold heart-ed for someone to say that. Does she not realize you are still in the process of moving out!
annie is so sweet. look at that face.
Oh dear about the dogs and the UPS .... LOL to fun.
Susan i would look up the term definition of inhabitable... then tell her what it is and that she can't claim that ! then tell her a good bible verse or two about patience and compassion ! good lord some people have nerve ! ,, got me all riled up lolol. sorry. :(
Well that is not good news..do think though you should have given yourself a few week once you were in the new place considering you and bob's health
Likely she will not have her furniture delivered and go on the lookout for somewhere new..that would give you a reprieve to test then go back
Big sigh
Big hugs, Susan. Not what you needed with all else that's going on. And, as Sue suggested, look up the definition of "uninhabitable." This business of turning the other cheek does sometimes get to be a bit much.
Getting ready for another Supervisors meeting tomorrow. Hardly slept last night - everything seemed so clear. Totally foggy today and wondering why I'm going. I did make some notes and will be OK.
Drafted a letter to the IRS thanking them for their help and asking if they will check to see if others are still affected by retirement's mistakes.
Sores on my body (from stress) and arthritis are killing me. Just took a pain killer and Benadryl. I did get some work on the front yard done this morning so I'm physically tired which should help me to sleep. Later, I hope. Don't want to get days and nights backwards.
Also getting ready to see Amma on Wednesday and stay in San Ramon for a few days.
I could just see the dogs in the UPS van. Love it.
hugs, katie
Susan I think at this point, I would call her bluff..because that's what I think it is. It will be more difficult for her to find another place than it will be for you to find another tenant. Has she given you a deposit of any kind? If not than I would get one before I did stuff to her desires.
She called me about an hour after I got back home.
She's said she won't rent the place......... and in my distress and without thinking, I gave her the entire rent and deposit back. Someone said to me afterwards that I should have kept either the damage deposit or the rent, but........... too late.
I had said I would have it to her liking in 1 week, but obviously that wasn't good enough.
I told her "good luck with 1% vacancy rate in Calgary"
I'm putting "feelers out" to get someone else to rent it.
How disappointing for you Susan
disappointing, to say the least.......... I'm doing a lot of crying today
Do you think she may have found a home/apartment and was her way of getting out of it
in one hour? No, I don't think so
Jaw thought maybe before arriving
I was wondering the same Betty. Seems to me she had no intention of moving in.
No, she seemed ok until she talked to me. I don't think she trusts me - I told her by email that we hadn't been able to do anything the day before because Bob was at the hospital. Then when I mentioned that her damage deposit would be put in trust for her, she gave me an odd look and asked me to put it in writing - I already had. Obviously something didn't "click" with us, in person. Maybe it's because I told her as a Christian, I keep my word on stuff. Could be that she didn't like that reference? I really don't know, and at this point I don't care. I'm moving on in life - I am not going to let her ruin my day/week. I won't take ownership of her bad manners.
Beauty of a ride LK I found such a difference when we got the Escape. I almost needed a step ladder to get in our PU.
Susan please make sure that Bob did get a tetnus (sp) shot. I know I keep harping about it every time someone gets hurt but I don't want anyone to go through what my dad did. We went through much the same hassle when we rented out the farm house.. The couple argued in front of us and then said they would. Warren and I went out and when we got back there was a voice mail saying they did not want to rent. We had turned down 3 other offers but we were able to get a hold of 1 of them and brought over the cheques that night.
Stay well
D
Beautiful SUV, LK!!
Bob didn't get looked after, so didn't get a tetanus shot.
I know you understand the stress, Dianne, given what you went through. Good that you got in touch with one of the previous offers and got it after all!! What a blessing that was :-)
I agree with the others that have said that Kristen had found another place to live, and, instead of pulling on her 'big gurl ADULT panties' and saying so, she decided to hide behind the word 'UNIHABITABLE' ..
She should be ashamed ..
Love the SUV LK .. one bit of advice I wish I had known back when my hip was bad .. put a plastic bag on the seat .. when you get in, it'll slide your bum right over without you having to expend much energy, and, therefore creating discomfort ..
Funny .. I had an SUV when I had my hip done, and switched to a car .. to tell ya the truth, neither suited me .. one was too high, and, the other too low .. kinda like Goldilocks LoL
Cool and threatening rain .. heading in to the university ..
Have a good one
~M~
Thanks for the tip. I will put one in the car now.
Morning all,
High of 66f expected today, won't feel like it as the wind is up
Won't matter, mill be in the house all day, gals are coming to sew
Lindakay, that's a beauty, love the color..won't it look grand..get well quick then try a ROADTRIP my way 😊
"m" will have to tell my mom about the plastic bag, she also has trouble getting in/out of the van
Susan, hope it's a better day for you
Katie,good luck
Debbie, been thinking of you, so wish you could have come for a visit while Paul is away..when is he expected back? Minute he does tell him you've plans to do a ROADTRIP as well and come visit
Road trip sounds nice.
Susan, whatever her reason, you are well rid of her. Imagine having both her and the person downstairs from you to deal with! And giving her all her money back means you can totally let go of it. Totally, OK? Can Bob see your regular doctor for the tetnus shot.
Debbie, come back. Visit Betty and get lots of hugs. And plan how to take care of yourself long-term.
I slept long and hard. Woke up to the radio on loud. Michael mildly annoyed with me. We snarled cheerfully at each other and ended up laughing.
With Amma in San Ramon tomorrow. I'll be there for a few days at least. Being her has been great and he Really appreciates my work on the yard but I think a few days away will be good for both of us.
I sure hope I get some response from someone at the Board of Supervisors. If not, this may drag on. This is the third time, I hope they begin to understand that I'm not just going to go away quietly.
I'm nervous but OK> I'm beginning to get annoyed about this.
I think Susan and Debbie I need to get together and whip up a good case of whupa%% for these a%%holes in our lives. Forget the tears, I want to kick some butt. Hard.
hugs, katie
Good luck at your meeting.
Betty, as you are in 'Administrative Assistant' mode for a bit .. perhaps we should have a new 'SUMMER room' to chat in ?
My iPad is slow when I'm away from home, re pics ..
I'd LOVE to open an EXTRA LARGE can of Whoop A** Katie .. :-)
~M~
Yes I need to open that can of Whoop A&& too!!!
DH got home last night about 8:30. No comment right now.
Just unbelievable.
Katie, thank you so much, and yes...you are right.
Every time I sit down this dog wants to go out.
Hugs to all of you for your support, truly appreciate it soooo much!
Debbie
