How come you had to park so far away

I'm being sooo lazy

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

After looking at the sign,, Betty, I see I am in fantastic company!!!! Wonderful feeling.....

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

it's street parking, and we don't have a parking space - there's one, in front of me, but I'm leaving it for Bob for when he's unloading stuff. Mike's grandma parks in front of of the house, and he parks on the lawn.............. in front of his g'ma we have to leave to the corner - 14 ft.

savannah is having a sleep over.... uuhg. girls are so noisy ! lol

Victoria Harbour, ON

Well, it's better than her sleeping over, did you not have to go get her?
Sleepovers were so much fun!

That's not good Susan only having street parking..does the tenants grandma live with him?
It's a basement apartment he is in..know you said but I can't recall

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Mike lives by himself, with his daughter coming for shared custody. And his g/f comes to stay now & then.
He's in the basement apartment, we're on the main.
Boy - SUN!! In the mobile park, because we were so close to each other and same height, we didn't get to see sunsets - I'm hoping I will. Our windows face East & West, not north & south like the other place. I'm liking it!!

the girls are still up. I went down stairs and told them they had to be quiet. Old broads like me need my beauty sleep and lots of it. LOL .

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all,

Brrr 43f, winds up, it's a stay inside kind of day!

Sue, hope those gals sleep in this morning, are they with you for the day?

Bit of a different lifestyle for next 6 weeks, one of jim's workers is off for an operation..with recoup time maybe 6 weeks, few days ago Rogers installed a phone line, I'll be answering calls for him..means house/yard bound for 6 or less weeks..be ok, I can still garden or sew lol

Was going to take my girlfriend Dianne out for lunch tomorrow as its her birthday but think I'll invite her here and I will order pizza.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, you have been off work for so long, and now you are back to working. At least it is from your home. Will that interfere with your trip coming up?

Victoria Harbour, ON

No won't last that long..I don't leave with the girls until July 24th

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

OK.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Helper came, 2 days late, that's ok, due to rain yesterday, said he was at a ball tournament Friday out of town..if it warms up a bit ill cut with rider then all will look tidy..few vines, plants didn't do well with his weeding, guess I have to teach him to take more care.

Did a couple test blocks for a swarm in, Drats hate it when tutorials don't give you finished measurement..it's ok, I can use them up in projects..Christmas blocks are easy to use up. Lol

Will have lunch then see if I can finish the throw top I'm working on so I can quilt it..tomorrow seeing I have to stay in will be sew/quilt time

How are you doing lindakay, are you able to enjoy the day without mega paiin? Sure hope so

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I am still almost pain free Betty, that shot really helped. What pain I do have is tolerable, compared to what it was!

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

WOW, is it C O L D here .. hardly 56F
Chance of frost again tonight ,,

Fella came this afternoon and gave us an estimate to have the whole driveway and garage area done (paved).... too good to say no to .. just have to find out about parking, as in, do we have to stay off of it for long ..

Susan .. how's your day going, knee wise ..I hope things start to settle.

LK, how bout you .. how's the hip?

Betty .. you'll be in working mode .. sometimes I DREAM about being back on my unit, and, I panic !!!!!!!!! LoL

Sue .. hope you survived the surging hormones ...

Making braised beef (venison) stroganoff for supper Murray's favourite ..

Best go and add the cream cheese ..

TOODLES

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

I have missed a few days, it looks like oodles to catch up on.
I have been busy finishing a quilt. It was done for a challenge. You can see it, and the others at www.Badassquilterssociety.com
my quilt is "Midnight Masquerade"
Voting starts tomorrow. Stop in and pick one. Thanks.

Thunder, that is awesome. Once it opens for voting, I will go back and cast my vote!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Wow"T" went and looked. I'll be sure to go back and vote. Not at all playing favs but yours looks like a shoo-in to me.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Ohhh'ing and ahhh'd get Thunder..quite different from what you usually sew/quilt.
You've got my vote as well. Were you given the theme or were you able to pick design yourself.

"m" send pavers my way..should get a price but afraid it's out of my range..best win that big lottery next weekend. Lol
Believe me it's only answering a few calls, just means I'm house bound.
That is short short weather "M", almost feels as though it can snow.

Lindakay, how often did they say you can get the shot? Don't think you answere my query?? This doctor you saw, was he the no show doc ?

Having supper..got to say I feel lost this weekend, can't concentrate, not doing much
Greg/Mel dropped in for a bit, going to Mel's mom and dads, her birthday was Friday so they are doing din din..greg seems to think it's because I have no outside work to do..helper got it all done this morning whereas I was always out doing something outside/inside, now I have neither..hmmm

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Hi - Bob was carrying a metal 4 drawer filing cabinet into the house and it fell cutting a huge gash in his hand. He's on the way to the hospital now, with Mike (our neighbour). Mike bandaged Bob up pretty good - has 1st aid training. I expect that he'll have to get a tetanus shot

My knees are "on again, off again", but ok right now.

Victoria Harbour, ON

That is not good Susan, Bob like you is overdoing it..here is hoping a few stitches and he will be ok

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry Betty, no, this Dr. Is the pain clinic Dr. Not my arthritis Dr. The shot I got the other day was just for emergencies like mine, next week, I go back, and have a steroid injection, that should hold it till I get an appointment for the surgeon.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Mike figures he'll only need one stitch...........
yeah, Bob's been way over-doing it. The file cabinet is outside where they had to leave it - with the top of it on the ground, and the bottom at the top step. It can sit there for all I care. Bob just needs to take care of himself.........
Bob is exhausted. We took the morning off to relax, until after our service provider guy left, then he wanted to get the van unloaded before he went to the old place to work on the plastering, etc.
Kristen will just have to understand........ it will get done, just not today or tomorrow. After the plaster is done, it will have to dry before I can paint it.

mulege, Mexico

Sorry about Bob's hand, Susan. Both of you have been pushing things and it caught up with him.

Linda, glad to hear you are not in so much pain. People who don't deal with it, don't understand how it messes up everything in our lives.

Just took another pain killer myself. Better today than most of the last week. Up and down with the retirement stuff.

Went to a hardware store, managed not to get lost, and bought a wheel barrow for Michael. I'm now back at work on the yard and making a paver path for Jane (girlfriend) to get to the back door. Staying here is such a huge gift for me and I know Michael will be happy with his new red wheelbarrow.

I figured out a plan to reconfigure the front lawn. Ran it by Michael yesterday and he's delighted. Gives me lots of shoveling and moving dirt to do, Not much thinking involved now that the plan is in place. I'm happy to have physical work I can do. And a new wheel barrow to do it with. I'm such a simple soul.

Cooked a chicken yesterday so I have food, too.

What a great life.

hugs, katie

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear his hand is not too bad.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

I emailed Kristen (our tenant) and explained about Bob's hand, and that he can't finish the plastering, or moving some of the things out of the yard that he planned on (my car tires, for instance).
Hope she understands. She arrives tonight, in Calgary.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Looking out our windows into a sea of glistening white FROST!!!
Sure hope Lorna's pansies made it through at the cemetery ..

Funeral today, then 2 classes, then, who knows what ..

HAPPY JUNE (Rabbit, Rabbit)

Take care

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning,
43f-feels like 37f not quite as cold as you "M"
You've a long day ahead you
Perhaps Lorna should hold off another week planting those pansies

Had a terrible night, woke up about 1:30 and virtually was wondering why roger hadn't come home this weekend, tried figuring out where he said he was going, thought it my be too early to call his cel then thought he wouldn't mind, had the phone in my hand frustrated that I couldn't remember his cel number, I put the receiver back and only slept a few minutes here and there.

Will be a long day for me

(((((Betty )))).
dropped kids off . last day of school is tomorrow. uuhg. I miss my alone when summer break is here.

Busy weekend, got a call from the Afghan Hound Rescue of Central Ohio, they had helped when my friend in Indiana died a couple years ago, and had found homes for her dogs. Now they had a dog in northern Indiana that needed to be picked up asap. I drove to Indiana Friday night and picked up Annie, she's a black and silver 7 or 8 year old that they decided to get rid of because their 2 year old grandchild got hit in the face with her wagging tail (?!?!) How can you have a dog that long and decide to get rid of it because it wags it tail? She's staying with me until the Ohio resuce group finds her a home.
I didn't get home from picking her up until after 9pm, and still had a puppy to groom for a Saturday show. I just bathed her and let her drip dry. Annie came with to the show, she's really a sweetheart. It just poured rain all day, and of course, judging was outside. Bonnie was the only afghan puppy entered, so she got Best Puppy, and we had to wait until late afternoon for the group judging. She got second out of two in the group, but it was a positive experience for her first show (other than the fact that we were both soaked the the skin and shivering.
I heard yesterday that the rescue group has one person that is interested in Annie from the photos posted on facebook. I hope this works out. She is sweet, but so nervous, her whole world has been turned upside down and she doesn't know what's going on right now.

Awe, bless you for giving her a home.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Hugs Betty. I have those moments with my grandmother and she died in 1978. I want to call her and tell her something I just know she would love to hear. Oh she would have loved my red-head greats, she was always going on about wanting a red- head grand baby.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Awww poor Annie, she has the sweetest face.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear you had dreams like that. I have them too about my Mom!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Ahhh'd look at Annie, what is the matter with people..I can see if she bit but wagging her tail?
Sometimes I get the urge to get a dog then I think of all the times I'm not home and it just wouldnt be fair..she is a keeper for sure..not a wonder she is nervous, her whole world has been turned upside down...congrats on the wins..you are to commended for sure driving all that way to pick Annie up..Sharon does the same re rescue of American Eskimo dogs..not easy for sure and not a,ways a guarantee you will find a home for them.

Dreams, maybe it's our loved ones needing prayers or dropping in for a visit.

Susan, how did Bob make out?

Hand phones. Lol, get personal calls, gabbing then 2nd line runs, different tone, decided to make life easier I'd put red nail polish on the one set, receiver unit and phone upstairs/downstairs so I'd know where each belongs..😜

Just finished picking up leaf casings from front deck, what a mess, guess I'll go sew a bit, long day with nothing to do but play

Verona, ON

(((Betty))) I so understand about the cell. I still buy stuff at the grocery store that Warren liked. Its not until I get home do I realize what I have done.

Oh Annie is a darling. Sure hope you can find a loving furever home for her. My heart aches for it.

D

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

((((((Betty))))) Upsetting, for sure, to get those dreams, and to come to the realization that he wasn't there after all. I "feel" for you....

Poor Annie - her world has been turned upside down, and now possibly another home. Wagging her tail - yes, she looks like she'd have a substantial tail, but geeze!! We had a doberman that ran past our 2 year old (who's now 39 this month!) and the 'breeze' knocked her down, but we didn't get rid of her for that! These things happen for pete's sake!!

Today is the "telling" day - it's when Kristen sees her new home for the first time (there's a stress...)
Bob & I were there until midnight last night. He was going to spend yesterday afternoon at her place, but then the cut happened, and 5 hours out of his day messed that up...
This morning I meet her at 10am, then she has a delivery of furniture at 10:30.
This afternoon I have the security system being installed at our new place (what a mess it is... ).

Bob's hand is ok - the bandage keeps falling off because if it's too tight, it hurts and if it's the way he likes it, it falls off. At least it stopped bleeding, so what he worried about (bleeding on the bedding last night) didn't happen. He's at work now, and I guess the moving around caused it to bleed again, but he says it's fine.
I am SO glad that the moving in is over, but Bob has more tools to get out of the porch and I guess that's me to do some of it while he's at work.
My knees - well, I know I did damage to them, but what else was I to do?

Victoria Harbour, ON

How is your troupe doing Dianne, enjoying their time outside?
Have you managed all your winter cleaning?
How is your neighbor faring?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Susan, I am sure you sent her mega photo's and she is aware of what she has rented..worse thing can happen is she finds another place and you have to find new renters

Time for you to relax and mellow out

Birds are chirping big time, think they want me outside to play lol

Verona, ON

Still raining but it looks and feels like it could snow. I should have a pancake fire but will just put a sweater on.

Diesel and Chaos jumped in the open door of the UPS van on Friday. I don't know who was laughing the most - me or the driver. They didn't want to come out. I finally got the boys out and off the guy went. About 4 min later the driver is back and I am thinking "oh no Duke got in too" and we just didn't see him. The driver in all the commotion forgot to give me 1 of my boxes.

Sue I thought of you when my DN who lives and teaches in India emailed me to tell me her husband an engineer in the mines also in India was going to Siri Lanka for a 10 day very intense yoga session.,
