Best/Worse/What did I learn today?chat with friends old/new

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all,

Saw my first hummer and the flower basket this morning, guess I should get out and fill the feeders..always have a sense of summer when I see them

Have some shopping to do, deciding if early morning or later this afternoon

Got to finalize ROADTRIP as I'm having supper at Rita's and we will book hotels before we are too late to get one for the major cities, I have to book tickets for Washington sites as well, hmmm maybe I should wait until tomorrow to go to town..will feel better when all that is done and entertainment booked, especially the 9 hr sightseeing tour in New York City
Susan, you sure are having a time of it, hope today is a better day

Sue, could you not drive to Dayton, purchase a ticket and enjoy the day with Austin?

Debbie, how are you feeling, burn healed?

Glad to hear you saw your first hummer Betty. Please don't use the red food bought from the store. It is not good for the hummers. You can make your own. Use 4 cups of water to one cup of sugar. Dissolve sugar in hot water, and cool. Fill clean feeders and your all set.

Hi Everyone,

Neighbor Dana talked to Tony and reports that all is well at home.

I have my lunch with a Supervisor's assistant tomorrow followed by the retirement board. I'm nervous. A lot depends on what kind of response I get. Not surprisingly, I am stressed and in a lot of pain. I walked to Trader Joes and got groceries and a couple more herb plants.

Picked up some free plants yesterday. They are in need of TLC but if they make it Michael will have a couple of large jade trees for his yard.

Going to have a cup of coffee and watch some TV.

hugs, katie

Glad all is well at home for you Katie
Michael will so love his gardens

Sure hope all goes beyond your expectations tomorrow

Went to Barrie, had fish and chips, tummy FULL and just getting ready to go to Riya's, it's hotel booking time

Sending lots of prayers for you Katie.

My security detail will be there with me tomorrow Katie. They promise to be good during the session unless you want them to send out a throaty noise. Oh ya they made me promise that you would give them hugs and smooches.

Just got Chaos home from the vet. He was neutered this morning. Guess nobody told him, so. he is prancing around here like nothing happened.. Duke was lost without him - he kept looking around for him. Diesel could have cared less. Vet gave me the standard lecture about no stairs, no running for 6- 7 weeks , no swimming, he will be quiet... all I could do was laugh. Really should take a video to send the vet so he can see how "quiet" Chaos is.

Barb I had a dream last night and there was you and Norm sitting on the bench outside of the hotel in Kingston So I am sending you a cyber hug..Can't believe its been 4 years already.

Susan I wished I lived closer. My claim to fame is I am an excellent and fast packer. I moved so many times back in the 70's and early 80's Warren used to say if he got me the boxes I could pack the house in 24 hours
.
I can't remember if I told you so bare with me if I have... the pups and I encountered a momma bear with 2 cubs. You should have seen how fast this chubby body moved. Diesel wasn't on a leash, Duke was and Chaos had a 15 ft loose leash on but they seemed to know they had to giddy up and go with me.. I am being very cautious about where we walk now.

M how is Gord doing this week?

Betty what states do you plan on visiting ? You notice I said states not state cause I know you will want to be on the go.

Oh my, I bet your feet could not travel fast enough when you saw the bears! I bet they were cute though?

When we had blackie fixed a few months ago, he was the same way. Jumping and running all over the place.

My IRS man just called to reassure me that he has been working on my behalf. The threats had moved ahead before I met with him and found out about the Retirement lies so there's been a lot of coordinating to do. As he said, "We have a lot of departments." He thinks it's all straightened out now and called to let me know that and to assure me that I can call him again should there be any more problems. I was in tears as I thanked him. With my worries about tomorrow his timing could not have been better.

I might have to be restrained from attacking with teeth bared tomorrow but I think what they are doing is clear enough that I will be able to explain it.

hugs, katie

I would watch my walks also when bears are around... yikes ! .
awww that must have been so cute to watch the pup around the house today.
Betty... i guess i could..... but, then i m creepy mom stalking her son LOL

Dang, the woman I was supposed to meet with tomorrow just wrote to ask for a postponement of our meeting as she can't get anyone at Retirement to talk to her about what happened to me. I responded - of course you can't, they don't want to talk about it because its' a boondoggle.

Back to thinking.

And a hot bath.

hugs, katie
