Must go clean up the craft room, girls were here sewing on project last night, even I got to finish yet another that was in my 'to finish' tote box
Must find something fun to do today that doesn't take a whole lot of physical energy, will give myself a few more days of healing.
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?chat with friends old/new
Morning everyone.
Thanks for the new thread Betty.
What are you up to this weekend lindakay, kids coming?
Thundering/lightning, called for same almost for an entire week
I am in San Antonio for a Dr appointment that got canceled.
My word we set a record for heat yesterday 87! We were supposed to get rain most of the week but so far only a few drops here & There. Not complaining but it's just so hard to trust that this is for real.
Snow is falling west of us in Dryden/Kenora area.
Not lots, just a gentle reminder from Ma Nature that she can be fickle !
BUT, it is moisture, and, things are greening up quickly.
I am busy with university course and a Hospice client, so, my time online will be lessened ..
Getting the creaks and groans outta this old bean, starting up my brain from its being in neutral for too long, a challenge !
Gord is back on prednisone, and, officially diagnosed with PMR.
Lorna goes back to work Monday morning .. has a $2000. budget for her flowers, lots of flower beds to fill and design.
Bout it from here, will be a 'lurker' for a bit ..
Y'all take care
TOODLES
~M~
What is PMR?
Good morning.
A couple showers last night and possibly for the next couple days here. Not bad considering what other parts of the country has been getting. Mid to high 80's all weekend.
Glad you are not hurting today Betty.
Did the Dr's office forget to call you LK? At least you get to see family...
Glad you had a good time and congrats to Brandon and his team-mates Barb.
Katie, continued good thoughts for you. Boomers and retirement are big news in the financial world...do take advantage of that.
Susan...finally things are swinging in your favor...that makes it worth the work now.
M, hope all is well...keeping you, Gord and Lorna in thoughts and prayers.
Dianne, have you heard The Word? (John Medeski)They just released a new album "Soul Food".
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=john+medeski+the+word
http://www.npr.org/2015/05/07/404982520/for-the-word-gospel-is-more-about-a-feeling
Hope you all have a lovely weekend...enjoy family and be kind to yourselves.
Sorry to hear that M, but at least he knows why he hurts.
PMR is Polymyalgia rheumatica....like Fibromyalgia, but involves the muscles of the upper body rather than the nerves...

Good morning everyone.
It's another lovely day here in San Francisco. I still have as stomach ache but it's better and I am gradually getting things done.
Thought I had clippers with me but I can't find them. Michael's back yard is untamed and I thought I might work off some of my angst and show my appreciation for his hospitality at the same time by cleaning it up a bit. Will maybe walk to the shopping center later if my stomach lets up.
Will watch a little TV and look for my clippers.
hugs, katie
taking a wee break from packing, fell asleep, now up from my nap.
Called the Electric/Gas company to switch services; got TV & Internet switched; our security system switched; and our cell phones.
So many people to contact and get changed over.........
Day for napping here as wee Susan
Mel dropped in and I was sound asleep, she asked ' you cook a big meal just for yourself' oops fell asleep and completely forgot I was cooking..so glad she decided to visit lol
Let's hope you haven't forgotten anyone Susan..is Bob excited about the move?
Katie, hope you found your clippers..is it intentional Michael yard is untamed or is it he doesn't have time or interest?
"m" glad you stopped by, was starting to fret..how is Gord with this diagnosis?
Don't get to busy for your friends here
Btw..received your thank you card...appreciated!
Jean, maybe my niece takes after her aunt betty for 'Blues'
http://www.scotiabankchinpicnic.com/nicole-robertson
We have a blues fest in Wasaga beach the end of September, I'll miss the Elvis festival as I'll be away but I'll be sure to get to the blues festival
Nothing like Louisiana blues but a start
http://www.wasagabeachblues.com/artist-line-up/
Bob's the one who initiated the move, so yeah - he's excited. That's why he spends so much time at the new place....... it's empty and he can "do his thing" which is updating locks/smoke detectors and cleaning the floors..
I told him - painting is for After we move - if we didn't have to do anything in the new place, I still wouldn't have the time or energy to paint until after we move. I can move stuff away from the walls after we move, and drape sheets over the floor, etc. People do it all the time when they don't move, so can I
An exciting time for you both!
She got my vote Betty...she is a talented young lady.
Not so sure talented, as a writer of songs I think she is, but her blues singing is more screatching to be..perhaps if there were backup it wouldn't seem so,
Jeff coming today, hope he can get some of my 'to do's' done between rain drops
Just remember, Bob Dylan is not that great at singing and look where he is.... She is young and ya gotta give her credit...she wrote the song, set it to music and then performed it...good on her.
Good luck Susan...hope you sell it all.
Good luck with your sale, Susan.
I am so sore!! I found Michael's clippers yesterday and worked about two hours in his back yard. He's not much of a gardener and has done lots of work on the interior of his house, which is lovely with its oak floor and furniture. He also spend about half his time at his girlfriend's home in Half Moon Bay. He also works so the yard comes in a poor fourth.
When I recovered from the yard work I walked to Trader Joes again - almost an hour each way.
Today I can hardly move. But it's move it or lose it so I move as best I can. Like much of SF it's very hilly here so I got a lot of exercise. Lots of nice old houses from early last century and many interesting gardens. The house next door is being rehabbed. They've had aback hoe digging out a new basement. Michael said that the other day the new owner was hosing down the inside of the first floor!! Michael thought it was so funny he took a video.
No stomach ache this morning but it seems like everything else hurts.
hugs, katie
It's been unusually warm for some time so yesterday I filled the feeders and today a hummer showed up. Two weeks early.
Unusually warm here as well Karen..birdies appreciate seed I'm sure, don't overdo
Susan, good luck with your sale,Think the desk will be more difficult to see with everyone. Downsizing
Jean, told Sharon maybe she should call organizers of the blues fest, maybe there is somewhere at a club she could sing
Katie, that's a lot of work and walking to be done n one day, rest tomorrow
Tempted to turn on air, but not
Jeff and his boys just left, Caleb has to work at 4:30
So nice seeing them
How they've matured, nolongerboys but young men.
I will go to the city Wednesday night, drama club is doing 'great gatsby' and Caleb has main role
'Gatsby', can't miss that
Braedon is moving into an apartment in sept and not living at the university, in the meanwhile he'll do the 2 month portage as leader, Caleb will do 6 weeks so not much time to see them.
They did get mega work done, gutters are clean, pond is up and running, more slate to be added, tomorrow's crew an do that ..today was pizza, tomorrow Chinese so no cooking for me
Need longer hose for pressure washer so having a bath to clean myself up then a trip to midland to pick up supplies
Still have seed & suet feeders up too. We usually leave them up through the nesting season. Just had a feeling the hummers might show early as fruit trees are blooming. This will be a mess for the cherry growers if the freeze returns. We've lost the crops before due to early warm then freeze.
Let's hope it doesn't return..we've gone fron winter right into summer
From no leaves to almost full open leaves in one week
Think I've lost a lot of shrubs but will wait a little longer before pulling them out
Been napping
Hit a high record two days ago today back to 40s. Made the hummer food a bit on the rich side, it will help them along.
High of 81 here, feeling it says like 90
Just went and put lawnmower and pressure washer away
Storm is coming
Severe Thunderstorm Watch
Issued at 15:39 Saturday 09 May 2015
Summary
Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing heavy rain. Isolated thunderstorms will continue into this evening. Heavy downpours are expected with these thunderstorms with rainfall amounts near 30 mm. The main concern is for regions that receive more than one thunderstorm, where rainfall amounts could exceed 50 mm in a short period of time. Hail and strong wind gusts are also possible. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Be prepared for severe weather. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors! The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends that you take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please monitor local media or Weatheradio. To report severe weather, send an email to storm.ontario@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #ONStorm. For more information: http://www.ontario.ca/beprepared.
Batten the hatches Betty.
Your almost as warm as we are. 96 here today.
See that a tornado hit north west of you and in Colorado
Here's hoping weather in your area is okl lindakay
Well I'll sit and be weepy for a bit now. Just got a Mother's Day message from my DGS in Kuwait. Always makes me happy to see him post, it's another day he's safe.
sold stuff today - not everything surely, but enough to still make a profit after I bought 3 Blue Willow items from Margaret, hit the bake table, and bought lunch there lol
After the sale, Doug came home with me and helped pack - he was pretty great at it. Had to explain a bit, but once he had the hang of it, he was quick and thorough.
Then, he left and we had dinner, then......... off to the new place to clean the fridge, stove, move in a new-to-us stove and we're going to move the current stove to the basement suite (once it's cleaned - Big Time YUCK on the grime!!! a young men's dorm room is all I can say.......)
Leaving the stuff on my table at the church - may sell more after the church service. They say that's what they did last year, and it worked. Maybe I'll sell the set of china I have..... J&G Meagen "Sunshine".
Happy Mother's Day everyone..
May today be the best of days for you..
Karen, they are good tears, tears of joy,
Susan, you weren't suppose to buy more, suppose to rid yourself of excess. Lol
Drafts was sound asleep, telephone just rang, after the episode with Noah now I'm worried..emailed Greg, didn't want to call in case they are all sleeping..if something is wrong then he'd see the email
Grrrr
