Happy birthday, Cindy!!

Well, this being a Property Manager is beginning to suck with this particular tenant. He'd been told that we're the people to contact, and when he needed internet/tv until we moved in, we got it for him. When the washing machine stopped working, and our landlord said that wasn't part of what he paid for, we got a 2nd hand one that Mike was going to share the cost of (he didn't - total cost of $300). When we needed an exterminator, we contacted a company and paid for it (Ker will reimburse us). Now, we moved a bunch of Christmas deco & gardening stuff into the "shared" bonus room off the garage, and Mike first complained to me and when I said it would be getting moved he complained to Ker. When I moved it from the bonus room to the laundry room (I couldn't get it any further so had to wait for Bob to come home and move it upstairs) Mike called me at home to complain he couldn't use the washing machine (that he didn't even pay his portion of...) because there were boxes on it... like... a 24 yo can't move boxes that a 61 yo can? I hung up on Mike. Then when I came home (new place) Mike & I had a shouting match with him saying that Ker said it was BS that we're property managers. This morning he had his radio/stereo blaring at 6am. Oh, he doesn't believe we can get him evicted? Btw - he's tossing stuff of our off the deck, if it's on HIS side (didn't realize there was a side?) and took some Christmas lights in a box and put them outside...he's going to find out that we ARE the property managers, as per Ker. Ker has said if we're not happy with Mike that we can evict him without saying anything to Ker. He doesn't care who we have in here as long as he gets his rent.
btw - Calgary has a 1% vacancy rate...

Being a landlord isn't always easy. You do have to be firm. Maybe even type up a paper with what is expected and allowed. One thing for sure, make it clear if he touches any of your belongings for any reason, out he goes.

We had one woman with 3 children. My mistake was letting her come in under subsidized housing. She made such a mess of the place that I finally reported my house as unfit for the children to live in. Then the state agent, who had assured me that all damages would be reimbursed, said "well it's just normal wear & tear". Cost us over $1000. to make the house livable again. We will never again rent to a state subsidized tenant.

The rental situation is much the same here. We could rent a dozen houses if we had them....not that I want to.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

we have a contract with the owner of the house (Ker), but we have yet to go over it with the three (four) of us, so Mike figures he can get away with murder cuz he doesn't believe we're the Property Managers. Ah well, he'll learn, maybe the hard way.........

Evening!

Happy belated birthday Cindy. You had posted some pics on FB, sure looks like you h ad a great time.

When you can spare some $$$$ Sue, get yourself a generator. You're living in the country, and that's a must! That will keep some much needed appliances going.

Heed Karen's advice there Susan, be firm.
I don't think I can be a property manager, I'm not firm enough.

If I lived closer, Ernie, I'll relieve you of some of the tomatoes.

A very scary moment tonight. I was looking up the sky and I thought I saw a double moon! Serious. Took my camera out, no batteries.
Called Synda up thinking she'd see the same thing.
Nope.. only one moon.
Gosh.. not just cataract in right eye, depth of perception is off, now seeing double moon!!
What is next?

Oh.. anyone has a friend who is a loan officer or could help me check on Kel's financial activity?
I have his social security number. It will be discreet. Just want to know the whole truth and prepare myself for much worse.
As, I found out tonight, he has a loan with his credit union, besides two local banks, the hidden credit cards, maxxed and more.

In my case, ignorance isn't bliss as I truly want to know the whole amount owed, so next time he acts Mr. Smart, I can think of the avalanche that's about to topple his head. :D

Jaye you could surely have lots of maters. I have ditched 5 5gallon buckets full and a bunch I threw into the compost.

good morning everyone.
not much going on here today.
Weather has cooled down.

Jaye sending you hugs girl.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

we had a monsoon last nite. t we were going to flat away. good thing we have a boat

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Wow Jaye, best prepare for the worst. We found out hubbys mom had all kinds of hidden credit. (Not all of it done by her, his brothers kids had sent away for cards in her name.)She had done plenty though including over refinancing her home for more than it was worth by bribing the appraiser. Hubby had to take her through bankruptcy. Court had appointed him her guardian after she had a stroke. The grands who had scammed her money never called or tried to see her again.

I don't know if you can legally get the info you want. Most of hers surfaced in court.

glad your safe and didn't float away.

Jaye, you can go to https://www.creditkarma.com/, and get a free report for him or you. It should list all his debts!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Jaye deer - will keep this new kuffufle in my thoughts as you , as always, in my prayers........!!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Jayegirl I may be able to help, let me get back to you

Yes my trip to Fort Bragg was awesome but my stay at Ron's place was even better. We have a lot in common, love the same foods, love fishing, camping, and of course riding. The back seat on his bike is so comfortable I could nap and not worry about falling off, lol Not sure when we will go on another ride :(

Love the pictures Cindy. Sounds like you found someone special.

Wish me luck everyone. I am in San Antonio at the pain clinic. I am going to demand that he does something for this leg and hip pain.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Good for you, LK - he needs to know that this is Real pain!! Demand away!!!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Good luck LK. LET HIM HAVE IT!

The young man came and picked up that old motor and don't know if that old trailer was much good, young man is going to have to clean a lot of rust off and give it a new paint job. The tires don't seem too good, I am just glad it is gone from here. Paper work will be on its way to the DMV in Sacramento today. Jaye, the boat was sitting on cement at the side of the house and what a mess to clean up. A lot of oil from son's old car came up with paint thinner poured on cement and cat litter to soak it up. Couldn't believe you could get all that oil up. Our neighbor whose driveway is right next to ours has a neat driveway with a grey brick design. Tire tracks on it really gets her dander up. Maybe I will have to go out there in the evening with an old tooth brush and scrub tire tracks off her driveway.☺

Karen, I just had a thought after reading your post, what if he used he stole his parent i.d and had more loans? He had already used his dad's ss# to claim him on income tax, when that man isn't legitimately living with us.
This year, he wanted to use his mother, but I stopped him for he'd be responsible if he gets audited for using his dad... now I wished I hadn't. Sad to say, I hope he gets audited. That man is too arrogant.

Don't know whether to warn his mother.. for she thinks he has improved some. Yah.. mother's unfailing hope. Karen, she didn't see it coming from a son that's been filial.

kuffufle~~ explain please Susan. Or is it similar to that term "debacle"? Whatever it is, it's hitting me hard, and him the hardest.

I appreciate the hugs Sue. Cried so much last night, wanted to confront him this morning when he returns, but Lord stilled me, and I left it at His feet.
Still I want to know how much more in debt is he.

Good luck LK. Time for a pain free life.
Yes, I looked up CreditKarma, that's how I found another loan with his State Employee Credit Union.

Problem is, I know there are more since lenders don't report till after 4 months. I am also aware that he's very behind with one bank, a few credit cards and he's reported as being on time.
His credit score is now 606. Don't understand though how he got away with using the woman's address on one loan..

Any help you can find, Cindy gal, I appreciate. Better to know, and pray.. but let the Lord deal with that. I just want to look at him and recall his 'secrets' each time he thinks his ass don't stink.,, and sneer at him without him knowing why.
Bad me.. :D
So glad you are happy with Ron.

Don't mean to subject you all with this. I'm on three anti depressants now. 60 mg, and coming here and letting it all out, does help.
Hope too that my experience will help someone else.

Sis Kathy, plug that pirogue now and then!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh no Pegi. Hopefully one of those metal brush for cleaning bbq grills might do the work>

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I spelled it incorrectly......... it's a Scottish-Gaelic word
ker·fuf·fle
a commotion or fuss, especially one caused by conflicting views.
"there was a kerfuffle over the chairmanship"

and boy, are there Ever conflicting views between you & Kel !!!
(((((((((((Jaye)))))))))))))

I'm just here at the old place, cleaning the deck of stuff, throwing some out and packing others - especially my plant pots, etc!! I'm having to toss out the old soil from last year and those pots are not light - glad I'm lightning the load for the guys who are going to move them!!
Well, better get back to the yard! I'm feeling much better today, cuz I took the Whole Day Off yesterday, and just did a bit of sorting in the new place - made room on the counters so I could make breakfast, dinner, etc! Fewer boxes on the floor in the kitchen, too! Finding spots for things :-)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Dear Susan, the conflicts will be there as long as he keeps doing things that he knows God won't sanctify, He said God gave us free will... oh that insolent arrogant man. Yes, but that doesn't mean that your choice would be free of consequences, especially when it's not God inspired.

The fun part about packing, you find things you've forgotten about!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, I am glad to hear you are feeling better when you come here to vent.

Well, I saw the Dr. and he gave me a double shot of toradol and something else I can't pronounce, and it is helping. I have to come back next week for a different kind of injection, deeper in the hip joint, but have to have Andy with me to drive me home. In the meantime, he gave me a range of motion test that didn't go to well. He is looking for an orthopedic surgeon for my hip replacement surgery. At least we are on the right track. Maybe I can have a new hip for my 60th birthday in June?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

so true on both counts, Jaye - he will have his consequences, and I am finding stuff I forgot about LOL

LK - glad you & your Dr are on the right track!!
60, in June? why, you're just a baby............... I'm all of 61!! lol
What day in June? I have a few family members born in June

Madison, AL

Jaye - forgive a lurker for saying anything, but please be very careful about accessing Kel's financial info using his SS #. That can be very illegal and could come back on you big time. I wish you the best in your situation.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

June 13th.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I am 18 days older than you LK :) Had this conversation with my mom Tuesday, we were talking about me turning 60.
Mom says "Sure doesn't seem like you're 60, I said Yeah me too and I cant believe Cristina is 40 (My daughter). She says" Oh that I can, but you just don't look 60!"
Thanks Mom, made my day!!!
Had a friend tell me today that I look 40, must be all those years of using Oil of O'Lay :)

Yes Jaye be very careful, my friend said no can do!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I agree, you don't look 60.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Stillwood, thank you. No, I won't do it, it's bad enough there's one crook in the family.
I'll just let the Lord expose more lies.
Don't worry Cindy, I am not willing to be behind bars.. yet~

Mother's b'day was on the 26th, she would have been 76. A real Gemini.. we can't figure her out most of the time.
I am proud that I'm the only one that remembered her birthday.

Leo here, with Sagitarrius rising.. July 29th.

Just got back from Holly's (sis Carolyn's DIL). Her 15 year old son clung to me all night!! He is a WW2 history buff, and enjoyed listening to my knowledge of the war in South East Asia.
Love it when a teenager is into not the common teenage stuffs. And so proud of Seth that he also loves Jesus.
I am invited to watch him perform next Friday.. in all things.. tae Kwon Do.
Guess Holly's kids gain a new aunt!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

When I turned 60 (last year), my mom said "you're old!!" I told her, "you're 35 years older!!!" lol

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh, must you remind her, Susan!!! Bad daughter,, bad girl!! Lolol.
Bet you made her laugh.

New room.. come on over. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1396206/
