Been busy in the garden, weedeating my daylily beds. Picked up metal art that had been thrashed to the grounds by heavy winter winds.. ahh.. I have a clear pathway too from the parked truck to the house's front door.
Yes Spring is here, Barb and so are the mosquitoes!!!

Happy Belated Birthday Cookie.. jewelry from Bill I hope?

Anyway, Cindy, I laughed so hard at Doug's idiocy and like brother Ernie said, they show their true colors when it's not smoochy smoochy anymore. Thought Sheri was a good friend!
Laughed too when YOU realise that Ron is the one!! So.. hehehe.. Cindy's love story continues.

I am so hoping things will get better Sue so he can pave a way for me to see you. When you mentioned not having your PIN number, I'm led to bringing up the fight we had last night.
He lied for months about the income tax saying he didn't get the form, til I confronted him that ALL state employees get that in February. Told him that he must have spent the returns on the ho, and after the money's gone, she dropped him.
He's been warned that for each lie he spoke in the house, the Holy Spirit keeps track.
Anyway, I am not giving up on the possibility of seeing you if its held in September.

BEAUTIFUL, beautiful roses, LK! We'll just share the scene and scent!

Pegi.. TexasAngel.. I have been using the Kindle and I don't miss picking up books. Bad eh?
But the bibles I have are bulky besides the illegible print.
Only time I carry a bible now is for church yesterday. I use one that LK had given for my b'day as it has such a nice cover.
AND I did give a praise report too about the Kindle. God sure knows how to use His children.

Rains just fall and that means shower and laundry! Oh what a blessing to have a washing machine and dryer!

Jayegirl, Sheri WAS a good friend or so I thought. Last July I had found out that she had been talking about me behind my back. She was telling ppl that Doug and I both need to get jobs. Ah Hello??? We are on SSDI for a reason. Then she was telling ppl that I really didn't clean her house that good. I always spent two days 6-8 hrs each day cleaning her house. It's a big house and she's very picky!!! Then she went to a friend that was interested in buying my Black furniture and told her it was 70's style that she would buy her something better. Excuse me!!! She never saw my furniture!!! And how could it be 70's style when I bought it in 94. Then she was telling lies to other ppl about our trip to Garberville and it got back to my friend, then Oh Boy!!! That friend posted a thing on FB and one by one ppl started dropping Sheri from their friend's list. it got so bad one gal told her she had better remove her FB page or she was going to kick her ass. So Sheri did, but then come January she is back on FB, but does not have many friends anymore. I know I am going to run into to her soon. Because her and hubby ride with a lot of ppl that Ron rides with and if I go with him then............I have no intentions of speaking to her until she apologizes and admits she was wrong for talking about me.
Spent most of the day putting stuff in my storage. Still have lots of room, but have to organize my camping stuff. Then tackle the garage!!! I didn't realize Doug had so many of my tools! So we just opened the door and just put things here and there, now I can't move around in there, lol.

Sue the poster is for YOU!!!!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Wow Cindy - some friend Sheri is....... NOT
and what a Perfect poster for anyone! You're right about it being so good for Sue :-) She does not live for their happiness, as they don't live for hers

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I agree Susan! No one needs a friend like that!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning!! Boy I am so tired from the last few days I slept until 6:45! I'm usually up by 4:30 - 5:00 Going to clean up the garage today and make me a work out room, Trying to lose 20 lbs, I've lost 7 so far, from all the yard work I've been doing lol.

Hope everyone has a GREAT day!!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Yard work is no easy task. Glad to hear you have lost weight.

When your done, you have my address!!! :)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I iz here.

Wow Cindy, I never thought that Sheri is so jealous of you. It's good that others are seeing her true character and defending you.
I admire you Cindy, as you've NEVER badmouthed her, even after she did you wrong. That's why I was surprised that she's no longer your friend. Jealousy is a bitter trait and she'd have no friends if she continue to act like that.

Lovely finds, Susan! When I think I'd like to pick up knitting, just to do a shawl, I think of the fabric collection waiting to be used up.
May you be blessed to find more deals as you are such a giving person.

Sue, stop being a doormat to Tim. The kids see how you react so they think they can do the same. He's now your ex.. you know.. former.. the before you got Tom?
Lolol.

I have absolutely wonderful news!! I've been asked to go shopping with Carolyn's grandaughter, whose mother, dad and her go to the same church as me!
Kel was told and he promised to give me a little spending money.
Now I won't hold my breath on more than 10 dollars!! Lol!!
Last night, he had to stop at the store to pick up real roast and he complained over the phone on how high food costs are. He wanted to get a one pound roast, I told him, that it would shrink to half that weight and he would finish that up in one serving!!
Then I told him there's absolutely NOTHING for me to fix his 3 day work lunch and to get tube steaks as that's the cheapest. Guess what, he bought himself real sausages!! lolol.

Oh LK, I did fix hotdogs and mac and cheese for him. :D He ate some, I gave the cats the rest. I always have the suspicion that he ate elsewhere, for when it's tube steaks, he wasn't that hungry!! Lolol.
Oh. As for me.. I still have cans of gourmet food that Zi sent. :D

You all have a glorious day

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I would make him do all the shopping Jaye, make him realize how much food cost.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I am disgusted with his secrecy LK. It makes me sick, and yet I know I have to let that hate go, if not God cannot do His job.
He still doesn't tell me where he goes to in the evenings. Sometimes I see appliances in the back of the truck when he returns. Everything is to benefit him, not his family.
I need a better cell phone, and do you think he bothers ask around while he has his Samsung Galaxy 4?
Just like the Kindle.. he knew for months that will help me so much. No.. it's only AFTER TexasAngel sent me hers, he then remarked that he knew of someone who knew of another that deals with used Kindles. It's all about him.
Okay.. I let it out.

Not going shopping today as Kalyn just told me she has to bring the car to the mechanic shop as her plugs aren't firing right. Her dad said him and I need to win the lottery!!! Lolol. And we don't buy tickets!!!

It's my dental appointment tomorrow. I demanded that Kel let me use his truck which is fixed, as my red truck's gas gauge is stuck, the side mirror broken, and the engine checked into since he used it for who knows what!
Once again, it's all for him.

Oh.. finally he gave me a phone with caller ID. It's his mum's old one. Barely can read the numbers, but at least I'll get stored info.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Great - you have a phone!!

I'm learning how to knit one of those "curly scarves". Never have knit with this wool before, but there's a first time for everything, right?
Red Heart Boutique Sashay.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Just keep that patience Jaye, Kel will get his!

THank YOu Cindy. Yes it is true. I have been cleaning out my closet of people who are not good energy for me and my life. I blocked Jessica's dad and all his family. So tired of all their drama.
congrats on loosing the 7 lbs ... hard work loosing weight.
Jaye hope the phone works good for you. Hope dental apt goes well and Kel lets you use the truck.
I agree with LK. He will get his.
busy day. Tom helped me finish my taxes and they were approved !
then walmart and to the gym.
came home and did homework with kids . dinner in the crock pot and laundry
taking a break.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

omg - my son is coming to Calgary for June 1st (first bit of news)

and for the 2nd bit of news...
Bob's boss has bought a house in our neighbourhood, and would like us to rent it! Main floor of a bungalow, and the basement is a suite that we can choose the people who live there! There are so many people we could, like Doug (our 81 yr old friend - he lives in a bedroom of a house), or any of our friends that live in the Mobile Home Park.
We'd have 3 bedrooms, and one of the sides of the 2 car garage. Yard in the front, not the back
We would be able to rent out the mobile home until the park closes - there are people who are looking to rent in the Park.
omg - I'm so excited!! To move, AND to meet my son!!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Awe Susan I am So Very Happy for You and Bob !

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

What wonderful news Susan!!! Been a long time coming.
Glad your taxes got approved Sue.

thanks Barb. It was nothing more then just some confusion.... my first time doing taxes online. LOL
good morning everyone
great news Susan . congrats on the move. exciting !
not much going on here today.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear you got your taxes done Sue.

Susan, that is excellent news.

I have broses and peaches!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I am thrilled that I will finally get to see my son - he's coming up with a friend, to Calgary, for June 1st.
The friend has a job Starting June 1st actually, in Lethbridge, Alberta (2 hours drive from here), so Daniel is coming with him. First of all they're going to Mexico cuz this friend (Darren) has a time-share until Aug 5 so my Daniel will take it over, then they're coming here for Darren to take over his new job, then my Daniel will go back to Mexico to stay until Aug 5th. He's invited me to join him, but $450 round trip may be more than I can afford when we're moving into a new place.
Bob's going to talk to his boss and see if he can firm up the details. We need to know the exact rent, and find out what the rent is for the basement suite so we can find people to rent it as well.
Ker (Bob's boss) wants nothing to do with the house but to gather the rent lol
We'll find someone compatible for us, that's all he cares about.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Beautiful roses Kathy. What will you do with the peaches?

Susan, the new place sounds nice. I pray it will all work out in your favor.
Do you own the home you are in now? Will you sell it?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

We own the trailer, but the City owns the land, and they're closing the Mobile Home Park in Sept 2017.
It's possible that we could rent the trailer out until the Park closes. The rent here is $525, and the rent on the house would be about $800 - split the utility costs. We currently don't pay water, but are responsible for everything else.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

if the japaneese beetles don't eat them again, I will can them

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Susan, you knit some beautiful blankets. More good news coming your way, I'm excited for you. And such great luck on fabrics, I recognized some my mom had. If I sewed I would be so excited too.. Just can't get myself interested in doing much of any thing.

I did go and have my friend give me a hair cut & perm and now my son said I look like Harpo. Didn't realize how gray I am now with my hair so short. But, I'm going to feel so much better knowing I don't look like a witch. It usually takes a while to get used to it. Maybe I'll never have to comb my hair again. LOL

My friend gave me a branch of her plumeria that got broken off and I'm kind of excited about it as a few of mine died during my neglect time this last year. It isn't a straight branch and wondering if I should plant as is or cut off the part that is bent. Still would give me a large cutting. She has a lot of flowers and I fell in love with a plant and was surprised that it was a Mexican petunia. Guess I will have to treat myself to a couple plants this year.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

yeah, I'm going to be kept busy sewing & knitting.
The fabrics are to be used for the Church Craft Sale in November. I'm 1/3 of the way through doing a curly scarf - new thing to learn lol
and I'm making a baby quilt for Marshall, from a Jelly Roll that Jaye sent me :-) I didn't know what to do with it before this.
As for the applique fabric...... I'm at a loss of what to do with it. Oh well, something will come to me.

lol Harpo Marx? nasty wee son!! You'd better tell him what he looks like when he has a "bad hair day" (not that you are, but tit for tat, as they say lol)

Lucky you, on the plumeria! I'm trying to think how to move some of my fav plants to our new place - at least the season will be right! Bleeding Heart, an Indigo bush, and my first-ever peony (planted in memory of Carol).

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Susan, why not applique some Christmas towels? Buy some dish towels or ha d towels.

Susan i can feel your excitement.
busy day today.
got new britches.
accountant and paper work
then went to Yellow Springs. Its an artsy fartsy Liberal colledge type town. Nice boutiques, cute little pubs, great food. Love it there. Got a few things for the massage room.
Savannah helped me download Pandora music. So i can play relaxing music with the massages.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

It looks like the "house for rent" is a no-go - the cost is more than what we pay now. Yes, this would be utilities too (no, not included, but each tenant would pay half) however if you consider what we pay for rent now ($525 plus utilities of $375) the cost would be $900. Consider the new place at $1200 after utilities included.
Bob says maybe I should go on disability, and talk to my Dr about this, because of my knees.

Applique Christmas towels? I suppose cotton appliques on terry cloth?

Where is Yellow Springs, Sue?

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Aw Susan, so sorry you won't be moving a a new house. Yep, I know once you add up the utilities, etc. it really is hard on the wallet. I'm kind of in that boat, but so far so good. I may qualify for help with home repairs too, will check into that on April 22nd when I go to the Senior Center and see if I qualify for help. I need a new back door, or maybe someone can come and repair it so it doesn't look so awful. It sure can't hurt to find out one way or another.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I am off to Austin for the Lonestar round up. I will be back Sunday afternoon. I will check in when I can.

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

LK don't forget your barn boots all those Texans in one spot will make it deep lol have fun.

We were out of power for 14 hrs yesterday an f350 ford pu broke a power pole in 3 pcs ans tore down 100 feet of white plastic covered fence . he was found a few miles away still driving lol the crash tore off his license plate. I have an idea he is in big trouble. The expense must be beyond comprehension because there were 6 huge crew and equipment trucks and at least 20 men working. It also blew out some transformers just down the road .

The gh is full of flower starts and the hoop house has far more tomato plants than I can plant or even give away unless I put them out by the road for free. I can't eat tomato's or juice or sauce anymore. I will plant some Roma's for Linda and some favorites for me to look at along with some colored cherries and that will be that. My peas have reached the bottom of my fence and will soon start crawling to the top.

It's a strange diet no tomato, peppers potatoes, spinach, chard, kale, milk, brown bread or whole grains, chocolate ,, one cup of coffee a day, brown rice. np pineapple. blue berries , cranberries. No bannanas, no rasberrries. That's not all the no no's but it is enough.

I think I will plant some corn today in the gh and move it in and out until may 10th or so. People say you can't transplant corn but I am here to tell you I can and do it every year.

It is one month since sprained my ankle I can at lst barely hobble on it Sheila knows about how long it takes to heal. Ok off to get my blood drawn for my trip to the hospital tomorrow.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Why are you going to the hospital?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Ernie - is it for your dialysis that you need to go to the hospital?
ONE cup of coffee a day? I'd die.............. yikes!!
and no kale? weird......

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

I have to get a shot or infusion to help replenish my red blood cells

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

just drink some red wine lol

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Had my mammogram, then had a sonogram, then doctor came in to tell me everything is OK. Seems they needed to use more compression, now that was OUCH. Glad most of my parts are still working great, the little pain could be coming from the hiatal hernia, since mine is large.

Stopped at our local 99 cent store, they had some pots of veggies, got one tomato plant and one egg plant. No go on the hot pepper plants. Don't want to go crazy since water is so scarce. Still need a zucchini plant and think that is all I'm going to do. My "nasty wee son" is planting at his girlfriends so I'll let them provide me with veggies. I'm already used to my short & curly hair. Keep me looking good through some of our hot days.

Ernie, I can't believe all the food they are taking away from you. There must not be much you can eat. Drink that one cup of coffee slowly to make it last for a while.
