Morning all,

Feeling much the same but how can one not be smiling on a sunshine day..might even hit the 60's ..hard to believe after having a thick blanket of snow over them all winter that there is so much greenery.

I took out one of the chicken tv dinners I I made a few weeks ago so I will not have to cook, another plus to the day 😜

Just saw my first robin, lordy lots of good things going on, just said 'Robin, so glad you are home' she/he flapped its wings as though to tell me she/he was pleased as well.

AND. Riley came home, Mel said she hadn't seen her since Friday night.i gave her treats and got the cold shoulder as I always do when I've been away

Going to make yet another cup of coffee, finish dusting and vacuuming then plug the pump in to finish emptying the pond, it doesn't take too much energy on my part

By then it should be 9am and I will decide what to do with the rest of my day

Will it be a sunshine day in your neighborhood? What will you get up to?

Robins are 'making Robin chirps. Blue Jays are screaming for peanuts .. no sleeping in around here today ..

Party was bearable, stayed til 10, saw 5 deer on the way home, always makes driving a challenge.

Sun is trying to shine, but, according to the weather map, it's a 50/50 toss up as to whether we'll be sunny or cloudy ..
Lorna got about 4 gardens cleaned out yesterday.

Off to marinate some steaks ..

Lordy, how do things get so dusty in one week??

Went and plugged in pump to finish emptying the pond but hose was frozen, guess it was cold last night, perhaps in an hour or so I can drain

Sunshine here also, coffee in hand and DH made breakfast, so that is a big plus. It is in the
oven baking. He makes a great breakfast casserole so yummy. You use a crescent roll crust on bottom, layer of cooked sausage, cover with beaten eggs and shredded cheese and bake. Soooo good.

I want to try and rake the old leaves off the gardens as green is poking thru....same as you Betty.

Somehow I think it's easier to do leaves while some are semi wet,easier to pick up aybe that's why he is cooking breakfast as to give you energy for yard duty which likely you are not to be doing if memory serves me right

I had planned to have a good night Friday night as I just finished the second of my 6 week topical chemo treatment' I did it once a few years ago on my face and I guess I forgot how much it hurt. The pain is like a lit cigar is being pushed into your skin. Anyway I thought I would watch Jimmy Fallon and then read for a bit. I walked the pups and got home around 11 pm. Pups seemed fine but around midnight Chaos started to be sick. He peed, puked and pooped for several hours. He was feverish too. I ended up laying a tarp covered with old sheets on the living room floor.. I finally got a gravol to stay down. Then he fell asleep with his head on my knee. I was on the floor propped against a recliner. Today he is back to his puppy active self.

Betty I am so glad you didn't flood.

OMG Dianne .. absolutely NOTHING worse than a sick critter .. they can't tell you what's wrong, SO happy you were able to give him a gravol ..
OUCH to the face .. have seen those topicals in action, gosh, painful ..

As you can see I am STILL putzin .. scanned Austin's pic .. lordie, took me half an hour to scan, and then figure out how to save it .. don't do it that often ..

Puppy is back to his P and V self today. And neither Duke or Diesel show any signs of being ill.

LK this time it wasn't my face. That treatment was a few years ago This time I used the topical chemo on 2 areas that will never see the light of day now I am 65. I worked as a lifeguard and also in tobacco - 2 jobs that didn't require a lot of clothes. No wonder my mam used to shake her head and say "are you going to work dressed like that?" I still have some more areas but the dermatologist and I will have to talk about that when she comes to the village at the end of the month.

Spring like here too Betty.But is cool as the wind is off the lake. I hope to get out later today and get some things cleaned up. Its hard to have cloth over the 2 areas that I was treating so I don't wear a lot of clothes around the house. Good thing I live waaay in off of the township road.

My security detail just warded off a couple of guys on 4 wheelers who thought they were going to ride past my house. Good to see the boys doing their job. Little do these guys know all 3 would have loved a belly rub. All thunder and no lightning unless I give them their word to step up their defence of me. Never had to use their word and hope I never will but I have it in place if needed.

Susan is Bob still off work this week? His company must really value him - you don't see much of that anymore.

Where was Judy's cruise going? Hope all this weather didn't get in the way.

I just did a quick walk around the south facing gardens - rhubarb is up plus some iris have poked through. Woo hoo Spring really is coming.

Working on getting the yard cleaned up this weekend. I was cleaning in the garage yesterday, all the dogs were in the backyard, and I heard a squeaky noise, like a dog squeaky toy. I went to see what they had found that they had left outside, and saw Bonnie with a baby bunny. I grabbed the bunny from her, Klaus went running by with only back legs hanging out of his mouth, tried to grab him, he swallowed it, in the meantime, Sissy goes running by with a body in her mouth, grabbed that, got her inside, got back out just in time to see Klaus run by with another set of back legs hanging out of his mouth, that one went down the hatch before I could catch him. Buried 3, 2 eaten, 2 that survived I took to a wildlife rehabber. One of those has a broken leg, but she said she would splint it. Why do rabbits build nests in my backyard. You would think the smell of dogs would be enough to keep them out. I've never had a dog eat a rabbit before, either, they would play with them, but that's it. Now, whenever I go near the door, the pups are very vocal about wanting out.

All part of nature/wildlife Deb but it sure sickens you doesn't it..
Hope they can save the one with broken leg..

Sitting for a bit, will go out and wash it down somewhat,make sure feature pump is nice and clean then just maybe start filling it

Looking at the other pond, know there is a puncture somewhere in the lining so while the pond is filling I will set the water pump in it and empty the smaller one.,at that point I will have to decide f I will have it filled in (as I promised myself this winter) or get it running, if
I don't find a puncture then it's the connection where the water falls is and I will see what has to be done to fix

Time to put those hip waiters on, I always say do the worse chore there is first then everything will seem easy

Our electricity went out last evening and just came back on. We got lots of rain which soaked a lot of stuff that was out of the van but not put away. Lost a couple of magazines but the clothes and quilts will dry OK.

I'm still tired from the trip and the stress. Maria visited yesterday and I gave her a late Easter basket and we had a good visit and talked about what to do about the Retirement Association problems as they have been going on for almost thirty years and many of the problems are probably still going on, effecting who knows how many people while Retirement staff collects big salaries. I think I know what I need to do but I do not look forward to it as it involves going to Oakland and confronting the situation directly.

For today, It's sunny and beautiful. I am awaiting written confirmation from the IRS that I don't have to worry about them. Will continue contacting both politicians and attorneys looking for help. The case is like "The Emporer's New Clothes" and I am encouraged that both Dana and Maria have gotten wide-eyed and appalled when I give them a brief summation. Maybe I'll do it here later but I'm tired now and want to play some poker and veg.

Dianne, glad you puppy is better. I"m so grateful that my four are all doing well. The worst part of traveling for me is being away from them. I connected with a dog that was being walked by a young woman in San Diego. She was startled out of her walking trance and I had to explain that I'm a dog. (I just look like a person). I also dance with a cashier in a Food4Less to the amusement of the other cashiers and customers. Highlights of my trip.

I'm groggy but gradually waking up.

So this evening I will pickup the leaves I raked in one of the gardensthat I did 1/4 of while waiting for pond being filled and that is it for my day

We had one heck of a storm go through last night, but no hail or damage from the storm.

But we did get a double rainbow.

Betty, I have two roses open...

LindaKay, can't ask for anything more than that, no damade, double rainbow and roses..got to love it!!! Think it was here we were talking about carpet roses??? meant to mention that yesterday while working on the pond I touched a few thorns 'ouch' .. couldn't believe how green and how many runners there were, they will prosper this year for sure so must be on the alert when they are out in the stores. There was also a gorgeous ivy, here I have trouble in the house growing them and what do you know they survive and prosper in -30's, shaking my head.

"M" sure wish it were possible for you to meet up with some of us, I so enjoy those that I've met..one day you and Lorna will have to make the trip down to visit her folks, I'm right around the corner lol

Good morning everyone. I am feeling so much better this morning. These sinus infections do knock me right into bed. I think I get them because of the canula (tube) I have to use 24/7 for oxygen. I change the tube every four-five days which is more often than the doctor said but I still get them. Sometimes it is hard to tell if it is a sinus problem or allergies. Anyway, I'm still here and following along with you all. So many posts to try to answer to so I'll just wave to all.

Wow, that pizza was good last night, on the ship they had a pizza stand. We kept saying we were going to try it, however never did.

Anyway, a fancy little tid bit...I cut my Carol's love roses back, back at the first spurt of warm weather. Took one of the stems and dropped it in a jar of water, think why not see what happens. then, as it always goes, it froze in the jar. I thought man-o-man this is a goner. Oh well, went away. Walk the around the last night to see what's blooming and ohwah! the shoot has buds, I am just ecstatic, I just may start another.

Yep, so smiling, I have been to every gathering except the first. That's only because I wasn't around when it was happening. Also, I'll read about it everywhere it's listed...I'll have to check the dates and mark them. Sue were your ears ringing? lol, of course I talked about DG and the gathering. at one point, I couldn't remember the name of your town...three days later in the middle of another conversation, I blurted your town! everyone busted out in laughter as they understood my brain freeze.

In answer to your question, Yes I did wear my dress! We had a gorgeous photo taken for our Gallery wall.

I saw your said your missed Barbara, is she ok?? I certainly hope so.
