yeah, LK - I just couldn't spell asterisk lol
Morning
let the furries out, -1 so bound to be a nice day!
Susan, think only method of joining in any of the asterisk threads is subscribing to all, forget if its $20 or $25
Wonder how Katie is making out with her drive?
LindaKay, have you spoken to Dylan?
Judy the matt was on the floor because it's 6 feet by 8ft..its ready for 4 coats of finish and I can put it under the table (at least for a bit, think it might be too much)
Linda's husband Dave is going into surgery this morning
tempted to travel to Newmarket and sit with her..I'll check to see if she will be alone..serious operation, having 3 different surgeons operating on 3 different things..much could go wrong
Good Morning. One can buy a, month for 5 or years Subscription , 19.95.
OMG, Linda Kay, your new raised beds are fantastic!! Roses will be thriving. Great deal on the soil. Awe, Happy Birthday Dylan. So glad he is feeling better too?
Ohoh, BRB!
Where is photo of raised beds, when you posted you raised bed no photo appeared?
Great news re Dylan..best wishes on his 3rd birthday..omg seemed like yesterday he was born
2 more coats of finish and it's done
Then on to the next one for the deck, wouldn't it be nice if it matched the wicker set?? Mind never stops..like grandma said all the time ' you are dead for a long time, don't waste what you have here on earth" I sure must have listened
"m" hard day for you all, Lorena's boss's funeral is today I believe
Excellent job on the rug Betty!
Lk Dylan had a Ninja party too. That is what Gabriel had. Glad to hear he is feeling better.
M- your puppies are so sweet.
Dylan loves the turtles!
Sorry Betty, I thought I posted it. Here ya go!
Todd put my new raised bed together yesterday, it is 4 - 4 X 4 foot sections, and 11 inches deep. I was surprised to see how may bags of garden soil it holds. I had purchased 15 bags last week when home depot had them on sale, 3 bags for $10.00. Well, they were still on sale when I went back, so I got 30 more bags. That should be enough! I put weed cloth down first, and I added one bag of manure in each section. Tomorrow I will take my time, and start transferring the potted roses to the new bed.
Gardening is not a cheap hobby, like quilting, but I would not give either of them up!
I left the stump, as I am going to attempt a fairy garden!
LindaKay, what a lovely garden you'll make, fresh earth , now you need nutrients and all your plants will flurish.Fairy Garden will be lovely
Our yard is fenced in, plus I have not seen any deer in this part of the neighborhood. And so far, I have not seen any beetles!
Sue, out there and get some sunshine...how is Joyce, usually drops in from time to time, hope she's not ill.
LindaKay are you planting today?
Not today, Todd told me to leave it alone so I don't mess up my back, so I will have to wait for hubby to get more free time to get it done. Especially since I have to go back Thursday for more injections.
smart hubby..will get done regardless
Here I is, posting and all alone in our chat room, Dave made it through the surgery, what a relief!
I am here. Glad to hear he made it through surgery.
Glad to hear he made it through surgery OK. Now let the healing begin!
My daughter's shower was very nice yesterday. Long day, but, it went well. Lots of food, lots of goodies to eat. They got so much stuff, she says she doesn't know where it will fit in their small apartment. I got a chance to meet more of her future in-laws, and to catch up with some of my relatives I haven't seen in a while. All in all, a really good day.
Now back at work, still fighting off this cold, but at this point, it's just bad coughing fits, that seem to come on if I'm talking a lot! Need to stay quiet, I guess!
LK - glad to hear that Todd's not allowing you to do stuff you can't / shouldn't
Betty - happy to hear that Dave made it well through surgery
Glad to her the shower was a good one!
How are the 2 Susan's doing? Staying out of trouble?
Deb .. feel for you re the cough .. the lady sitting beside me at the funeral todaywas singing one of the hymns (we all were), when, BOOM, she started to cough .. she gave me her purse and coat and she left to go and get some water .. you could hear her coughing at the back of the funeral home .. she made it back and was fine following ..
GIGANTIC funeral .. very difficult for Lorna .. this is her 2nd boss from the cemetery who has passed away ..
When the procession drove into the cemetery the hearses from the other funeral homes were lined up and the staff were there with hats off, very moving .. was about 7 hearse (hearses)
Plus the fella and his big boom truck who delivers the granites ..
Lorna was overcome ..
Kind of low key day here now, it's damp and dreary out ..
Snow is melting gangbusters .. leaving mud behind ..
Glad Dave is OK .. hopefully Linda will remain healthy during his recovery.
Oh my LK .. did the injections not work?
Love the pics of Dylan :-)
Susan and VS .. have a good one ..
Sue .. Chappie sounds kinda not like a ME movie either .. WallE was more my style :-)
Best get some house work done ..
~M~
Hi Debbie, Dianne, Joyce Karen ... everyone
So far the 1st injections worked great for about 4 days, my shoulder is still about 80% better, but my hip is at about 40%. I was told I would have to have at least 2 sets of injections 2 weeks apart. So this is the 2nd set.
Very strange for two different funeral directors to pass away! Sounds like it was a nice funeral!
I am going to have a second great granddaughter anytime now. Can't wait. BEV
Congratulations Bev, when is the due date..I envy you all with little girls, love my boys but a grannies girl would be fun.
Be thankful you are in a lull Sue, enjoy those quiet days. Are the kids on March break, our kids started today.
LindaKay here is hoping 2nd set improves what pain you have left..another trip to San Antonio, will you stay a few days?
Annette, glad you were able to make it to the shower and improving health wise..hate to tell you that everyone I know who has been down with similar has the cough that remains and seems to last for months.
"m" they really paid tribute to Lorna's friend..just so sad..she will find it difficult to go back to work shortly..he was a great supporter of her efforts. Bet I know what you are having for supper? I am having leftover stew, not as exciting as what you are having
Linoleum needs one more coat, if I get it done tonight likely I can place it under the table tomorrow if dry. I did put the other on the back deck but it will go on front deck once i paint one for the back
After using the piece for 3 years it's still in decent condition
Have had such a busy 2 weeks.
Today DS finally got his wisdom teeth taken out. He is hurting tonight, but am
glad that part of it is over and one day at a time.
The pup is doing OK, he was neutered Friday morning, and now we adjust to the
kitty problem. I think he is doing better. (whispering so he doesn't' get any ideas)
Taking one day at a time and going slow with everything right now.
Hugs to you all
Debbie
Hey Debbie, glad to hear the wisdom teeth problem is done! He will be fine in a few days!
Happy Saint Patrick's day everyone..special day for the Irish
calling for a tad a snow today, here is hoping not.
Debbie Sammy is just too comfy, he's dreaming of how lucky he is to have found a home with you. Are you able to walk him? Hope the worse is over for Shane, must have been pretty bad for him to have had headaches because of them.
,
got the living room back in order..
once I get back from Florida going out to purchase a smaller and more modern table set, this once is 50 years old so its done its time..will put it at the roadside, am sure someone will take it
That looks great Betty. What do you have in mind for a new dining set?
Health, wealth and happiness on this chilly St Paddy's Day :-)
I was born in Belfast Northern Ireland, and, according to my Mum, the day was fair and bright ..
Only lived there 6 months, then back to Canada .. my parents had been in Ireland for a funeral and I decided to arrive .. early.
Debbie glad the dental extractions went well .. DS, Murray looked like a chipmunk when he had his out.
Bev .. did your new GGD arrive ?
Off for some grocery shopping .. as I said above, flippin cold and windy here ..
Hope Katie is making out alright..
Hi to all
~M~
Betty, that looks very nice!
You should sell your table, someone will pay good money for it!
Julie has the Easter swap open.

Happy St Patrick's Day everyone. If I can summon up the energy I might go to Foodland and get a corned beef. We always had a boiled dinner to celebrate ST Paddy's Day when Warren was alive.M considering you are the real deal do you do anything special today? All the Welsh do on their special day (St. David's Day) is have lots of daffodils around.
Rained overnight but now it has turned to a wet snow. It is just plain ugly and dreary out there.
LK so glad to see Dylan is better.
How is Shane this morning Debbie? Sammy sure looks like a sweetie I just want to give him lots of hugs and cuddles..Do you think he is going to be another Miss Izzy Shitsu?
Betty I had the same set. Mine went out to the side of the road a few years ago..... didn't last long. Like yours it had been lovingly cared for and looked almost new.
Barb are you enjoying your new sewing room?
Crissy how goes the battle? How's Joel feeling?
Dianne and her Thundering Herd
Top o' the mornin' to ye all!!!!
Do you have dual citizenship "M" between Canada and Ireland now?
Cross posted Dianne! Yes, I am finally able to use the room. Looks so much more inviting since it isn't so crowded. Thought I might start a new purse for me. I've used the same one for the last five years and it still is holding up nicely but I want a change.....

Morning Dianne and Barb!
Hope your both doing well!
"M", How is Lorna and Gord today?
I don't do the dual citizenship route .. or, as it's called now, 'dual nationality', I could though, but, I'd have to go over the pond a specified number of times, blabbity blah .. the relatives there are getting older, there are younger cousins, but, 'things' in Northern Ireland are never 'settled' .. I'm always nervous when travelling about the city ..
Lorna spent a bad night with nerve pain .. it just drives her crazy .. and, Gordon is having a time with his shingles, itchy itchy and, nothing relieves it .. as well, his carpal tunnel is flaring .. due to the prednisone .. all in all .. both are kinda miserable, and, I'm trying to keep the boat afloat .. :-)
Dianne .. I'll take the daffodils :-)
Barb .. the new purse sounds awesome!
Waiting for Lornas parents to call .. they call every morning at 10 .. then, we'll go shopping ..
Off to do stuff
M
Sorry to hear she is dealing with that pain. Sure wish there was something to help her through it.
Same with Gord. You would think by now someone could develop something!
