Was looking at the kittie sitting on the side table, saw the beautiful vase and was thinking here it wouldn't last long, Missy and Riley like to throw everything off the counters/tables etc. Got to say the coffee mug fits me to a 't' as well..envious as all of us in north country are of your weather..could get a burn but it would be from the wind and frost bite burn..

Lindakay, omg they are miniature, wouldn't be easy to crochet, I do afghan squares etc but nothing like these, can't even imagine doing them.

I put the runner together, just need to add a star to tie it in, got the curling iron bags done and 6 neck coolants for "M"

not sure if you can see well enough, the flood lifted some of the paint in the furnace room where I just put the cupboards and desk..last night I touched up the paint, this morning gave it a few coats of finish and it sparkles like crazy..tomorrow I'll wash the family room, then touch up the odd spot where paint lifted and give it a finish coat..what a difference..sure glad I didn't have flooring or rug and just have the floor I painted rocks on..easy fix

no no no, Betty - have to get these Round Robins done - been long enough in the "wings", then I have a baby shawl to knit, a couple of cushions to cover for our motorhome, and a baby quilt for our new grandson......... and Susan is coming in about 5 weeks, for 1 whole week!
She has to get her passport (expedited takes 2 to 3 weeks and she has to have an appointment for it)
I'm so excited - I want to knit her something warm, cuz she's cold in Atlanta - think about Calgary in March!!!

Well you certainly won't be bored, so pleased for you to have a visitor, for a week no less.
Just took meds, sprayed myself down and hope to nap..did nap a few hours today, here is hoping the crackling sound of the fireplace in my bedroom lulls me to sleep

Just finished the 2nd border on Thunder's piece, and I must say - I think it's looking spectacular!!
Normally I don't praise my own work, but I redid what I had started doing, and I'm thrilled. So is Bob!
I have one more border to put on... Trying to think what to do - think I'll revisit Quilter's Cache and look again lol

I was a good girl and did very little today. I walked the dogs twice and did some cooking and dishes and that is bout it. My back was doing good and if I started doing anything, I would start to get the twinge in the upper part of the back of my leg. So I did mostly sitting. I didn't even make my bed and that is very unusual.

You guys are so talented and all do is garden and cook. I did take some photos of my flowers today and I will post some tomorrow.

I am headed to bed. I am sure you are all already asleep.

Still snowing here with blizzard conditions (winds over 35 mph) The snow is light and fluffy so it creates whiteout conditions. I figure we have gotten about 8-10 inches but it is hard to tell with it blowing around like it is. Temps are between 0 & 6* .... Glad we are in for the duration!!!! Will try to get photos of the new kitchen table.

MIGHT be doing Chinese for supper, but, and I hate to say this .. Gord may be slipping back ..
His hands are losing sensation, and are painful .. I got him to put splints on, they have helped somewhat .. but he has been up all night ..
He has bilateral carpal tunnel .. am at a loss here .. he is just so down :-(

Kind of an emotional 2 days here .. Feb. 14 was 20 years for the death of Gord's Mom, 5 years for Lorna's awesome boss at the cemetery ... today, it's 18 years for my dear Mom.
I always remember ... big parts of our lives ..

Well, I hate to say it, but we are at 61 this morning, and it is supposed to be 78 this afternoon! I will turn the fans up north, and try to thaw you all out.
Even our ash tree's are budding out.

Perhaps he did too much, little steps and thinking dealing with the snow issues didn't help him..roller coaster ride as I call it. 26th, hoping more answers will come..my dad's birthday, he'd have been 86, he's many years gone now.

Well at least Barb you have nice furniture to look at while stuck in the apartment. Is it also a long weekend for you, Norm gets to stay home Monday, Presidents Day? Monday is our family day, not that family can get together this year so I've the girls coming..they are considered family right?

Plow guy came at 3 am so I have been up since then. Problem is I just fell asleep around 2 am.

M I am not surprised that you feel Gord is slipping back.He has been pretty active shoveling and probably overextended himself. Hard when you have an anniversary of the death of a loved one. Especially hard when you have 3 so close together.

Batten down the hatches Barb this is a terrible storm. Still howling winds here but not as bad as yesterday. I think Debbie sent the snow onto you in NH. She was blaming me for sending it to her and I know M and Betty pushed it on south to me.

The boys are having a grand time playing tag in the house. It is so cold outside I worry about their paws. They didn't even get their zoomies in outside. Looks like they are all tuckered out and Diesel and Duke are on the bed. Chaos' stool isn't there so he can't get up with them.As soon as it warms up a bit I need to go out and throw wood into the carport so they will have lots of time outside.

Missing my coffee - the ENT warned me that caffeine should be avoided as that enhances the cicada noise in my ears. Don't know if I will be able to give up it up for good.

that is one heck of a chore bringing in wood, must be hard on you but lordy it feels so warm, especially when it's stormy

You likely will get even, not storming right now but say it's on it's way so you are sending some of it back to me.

Great that you are plowed out, nothing worse than worrying if something happened that they wouldn't be able to get to you.

ohhh on the cicada noise..I couldn't believe it when I visited Judy how loud they were, must be terrible dealing with it in your ears.

I guess i can't complain about being bored :( i have a great sewing machine and i finaly decided to learn how to use it !!! ...... then i got side tracked with some other things.... No fabric LOL. i never did get to the store and get fabric. Well not money either.. LOL .
i have some books. and thought i would start there.
I may get some of the round hat looms.
so cold here today. brrrr. -4 getting more snow too tonight... ugh. Nothing like Barb's weather but for us its cold brrrrrr.

"M" That carpel tunnel is a bugger. Used to keep me awake at night. tingled at first and then just plain hurt. Easy out-patient fix. I now have braces I wear when I think I need them.

Got my boots out only to realizemy good glasses were in my coat pocket and no longer there, couldn't find them, went to look at basement entrance as I bought kitten liter and 2 totes, there they were atthe door in the snow,sigh of relief
Wouldn't think there is any need for me to go outside for several days..
Cooking Mac and tomatoes and hamburger, love it out over mashed potatoes, guess I will have that for a few days

dresdens, enough I image for a big throw..somewhere some of you quilters might have seen, someone cut out a flower pot and inserted dresdens as the flowers..that might be a nice throw???

Then I'll be off to look at it again Karen, might not be what one would use christmas dresdens for...they werecutwhen idiot his beautiful throws with 4 smaller dresdens in the corner, who knows,might see if I've enough and fido ill set them aside and make another.

Karen .. he has a classic carpal tunnel flare up .. have turned on the wax bath, given him splints and pain meds .. only other 'trick' might be to try ice. OR, stand him outside for a few minutes LoL (KIDDING)
But, I must say, his mood is NOT good .. ergo, I'm hiding in the kitchen ..

this day just keeps getting worse :(
kids and i have had the talk. I wasn't to happy about some things, came out mad . we then talked it out . Savannah isn't happy. I called them spoiled brats ! LOL. well they have been acting like it. They were mad at me for making t hem do laundry.... and helping clean. so i had a fit.
i will look into some projects for sewing
i may start with pot holders LOL

Sue, my kids did their laundry from age 15 or so. One of them maybe younger as she was very specific. AND...my DH complained about the way I did his laundry, so he now does his own.

It really helps them learn while they are still under your supervision to help and teach. Same with cooking and other chores. You are their mom & teacher, not their maid. Hugs.

I realized that LOL but i don't think they do :) I mean good grief they act like i ask them to kill puppies !!!
