BTW - speaking of people meeting one another......... next month sometime, someone I met in June 2013 online (also named Susan) is coming to visit me in Calgary!! We talk most every day, and she's never been out of Georgia in her life!! She lives close to Atlanta, and boy am I excited to finally meet her!!!!!!!!

and, btw - Bob's been with the company for 1 year as of Feb 10th, and got a raise - I'm so proud of him!!!

How to fool a 2 1/2 year old....Nothing to it right? Amelia's blankie was sorely in need of washing. Bumpa distracted her while I threw it into a load in the washer. All was fine no mention made of it she just played as usual. Then the washer buzzed. Immediately Amelia yelled "My Blankie!". She went into the laundry to help put it in the dryer. So much for being sneaky.

brrr having homemade soup, so glad I did a big container and droze some..can't seem to warm up and it's getting colder.

Mom is on her way back home, told her roads were icy but she said likely ok now..had a few things to do..she and Aunt Muriel dropped off dolls for me..were 7 but mom took back 3 so I've 4 I can give as gifts..still in boxes and still with certificates..Ariana and Audrey, Suzanne's grandaughters will certainly love love.

Congrats Susan on both, meeting up with your Susan from Georgia and Bob's 1 yr. celebration, hopefully they will keep giving him more raises so you can be a lady of leasure.

She & I are great "over the 'net" friends - met in June 2013 and, as I said before, we talk every day - either on chat or phone, or both. Her son introduced us, and he's thrilled she's coming - she's not a social butterfly.
I tried to get her on here, but she's shy....... she's better than she used to be though. She's 53, and a very lovely person.
Maybe I can introduce you to her when she visits - that's on my "to do" list lol

Susan, she could join us and we would all mother her. She is thr sme age as my daughter., Tracy.

Debbie, I need to post a photo of my peanut and booty. They are kin to your cat. Thy were a year old in August. Rescue kittens. We lost out cat to the owls in the greenbelt. So the new kitties are indoor cats. And thy pay with the dogs so they bring us much joy.

I hear my DH moving around so I better get his coffee and breakfast. He is a late riser and he takes him time getting dressed. Thank the lord he can still dress himself. He took a walk yesterday with me. He made it up the street 3 houses. That is getting better. We have a friend that his wife put him in assisted living. I thing that got Vern's attention. I would never do that unless I could not take care of him and I have told him that but this problem with this couple I know go his attention.

I m seeing my inlaws health decline :( . Grace my mil is not remembering how to take her meds correctly,,, and my fil is on oxygen and i can see its toll on him and the age. They are in their mid 80s. I m also thinking about delaying school another year. With their health so bad. They may need me. Tim will stick me with the responsibilitie of it all. I could say " NO" but my heart would not allow it. Torn on this ? Tim has never made it or offered a way for me to help my parents. IN any way shape or form. Its always about him

I am addicted to all animals, love them so much. Still trying to decide if I want
to adopt a pup. Loosing Izzy was harder on me than I realized and with all going
on, just don't know if I am up to a heart commitment right now.

Snowing here still...mixed with blowing, and horrible temps. Betty, the temp
is supposed to be -23 f with windchills the next few days....so really, think about it
if you are thinking of trip to Buffalo. The roads are nothing but ice right now.

I am here reading, just not posting a lot.

Ow, ow, ow..... just a bit ago I was stacking the wood stove and 1 piece wouldn't fit. Thinking it hadn't caught yet I grabbed it with my bare hand. It had caught!!!! So I now have a lovely burn and blister on the upper part of the inside of my hand.

Gee Karen I don't know about harmless.....lol We can't tell her about our wild Betty dancing on the table in NO or wanting to be searched by the very handsome custom officer.

Bitter cold here and getting colder. The wind is howling so badly it sounds like a train is coming through the trees. Pups were spooked by the noise.

Susan its exciting that your online friend is coming for a visit. The first online friend I met personally was Barb. I was so excited to put a face to the name and I sure wasn't disappointed. Barb and Norm were both a delight and I felt so honoured they wanted to meet me.

Judy Judy, what a birthday for you. Western Caribbean is an awesome cruise. We left from Miami and first stop was Key West. I love going to Key West it's a different trip every time. We've driven to it twice. Love crossing all the bridges. Stopped in Belize too. It was fun but a bit scary seeing Jeeps with 4 heavily armed police in them. Enjoy your cruise.

Still going through photos...OMG! I found it!
2005 my first Bloom of my White Roses, I have it listed as Jacobs Ladder. But never found anything on roses with that name-Anywhere, I dunno, I must have read the tag wrong? Anyways...that name stuck. The house next door was tore down, replaced by a huge sun blocker of a house. So it never bloomed again. in 2008 ( I think) I braved it up and transplanted a single green stem with root. it was only about 12 inches long. Well when it bloomed it came back completely red! I renamed it "Carol's Love" lol, because it was different...I literally watch these bloom. Well to my amazement in 2012 I notice changes in her color! 2013 More and More white each bloom was different.
But my excitement really is that this story is not a figment of my imagination. Finding that one White rose has finally come to an end. It's my only copy of the close up.
ROFLOL, such stupid things drive me crazy and finding that was one of them.
2014 the Deer ate them so they never bloomed. I pruned the really well so I cant wait to see how she bloom this year!! Definatly putting a fence around the section as soon as I possibly can.

LK I hope Blackie sleeps well tonight. Did they give you something to give him for pain? DH used to insist any of our boys when they were neutered get pain meds. I always teased him the pain meds were more for him than the pups. Yes LK I have been putting ice on the burn. This is a goodie. Someone told me to put toothpaste on the burn. I have never heard of that.

Darn - you guys to the north are still sending the arctic cold (-2 here this am) and another blizzard for tomorrow into Sunday!!!!. And yes, Boston is going to get hit once again!!! We are in the 12-16" range and I'm so not looking forward to it. I can barely see out the windows now....

I haven't been on a lot lately because we are in the process of downsizing once again. Big changes this time. Getting rid of bulky furniture and got laptops instead of big PCs so we can get rid of these big desks. Also changing kitchen from big expandable table to a small drop leaf one. Then finding homes or donate spots for the stuff we are getting rid of.... Fun, fun.. not!!! I cannot find the sewing room right now so anything in there will have to wait until after the weekend when Norm will be home to help me put things to rights.....

Bernie called, he worked with his wife last night and didn't get home until 1:00 a.m.

OMG! Northern Canada (me) sent south eastern Canada (Betty and Dianne), the bad temps!
It was absolutely brutal here yesterday walking into the hospital, Lorna can't go fast with her walker, so, we were bundled up to the MAX!
And, some folks, (staff) were running between buildings in shirt sleeves and/or lab coats .
This morning we have 'BFFS' Big Fat Flakes of Snow LoL .. that tells me the temps are UP, to .. drum rollll please .. -10F .. WAH HOOOEY !!

Caribbean cruises, have been on a couple .. Gord and I were impressed, but, we seem to enjoy just picking one Island and spending 2-3 weeks exploring .. our favourite is Barbados .. have been several times, great memories too ..
