Had about a foot to shovel,did it in two parts, one before town, one after I returned, thought I best as Timbrr mart might deliver my order today, told then Monday would do but they said if a trip out this way is on their agenda they will drop mine off.

Bit many lumber yards would be so accommodating, cutting panelling and shelving to size,
Bought cupboards that were on sale at Canadian tire, going to do some revamping for fabric and desk

Should call nephew to come and get the desk, too big for what's needed

Great that stores I needed weren't open any earlier, got so much done in back room..looking good.
Picked up Chinese, enough for a few meals, now I've esten and tired out from all the work I've done I need a nap

Chinese sounds so good, I could eat that almost daily.

I think I am making a "beer butt chicken" for tonight.

Snowstorm here too. Forecasting over 2 ft in my area. I am in for the duration. If the expected total falls our plow guy will have to use his frontend loader first before he can plow.

Chaos is full of P and V. The big boys loves him,especially Duke.

Dianne, that is the way it was here. The town used payloaders to clean up street corners, some were so high people couldn't safely turn out into the main road.

I was glad to have meds dr have me a couple weeks ago, seems to have helped the cold but not the downright tiredness. Was in bed last night just after 5, I'll not be far off tonight.

Bought enough Chinese for my lunch, supper but not that hungry so I'll have it tomorrow.

Been keeping myself busy, when cleaning back room I found a few zip lock bags with fabric, think fabric was to have been for a couple of wallets but other than handles it is now a tote bag

I'm thrilled with the look of the downstairs, really coming along, took a lot of cleaning and I've
tad more to purge but nothing out of place makes the work worthwhile.

Hoping that Barb and Cllie are ok, perhaps the storm has hit her region as well.

Betty I'm assuming they are, feeling a bit stronger every day and no more pain since last stent. Hard to take 14 pills a day though.

I'm home again and Callie is still hanging in there. She is one strong kitty. She is still eating, albeit not much, and she is still using the box, again not much. She craves attention in spurts which we are more than happy to give her. But when she wants to be left alone, we do that too and then sit and stare at her to make sure she is breathing!!!! So far so good I guess. She shows and gives no sign at all of any pain. At the first sign though she will go to the vet to cross the bridge.

We spent the afternoon at my Stacy's house. David is feeling pretty good and wanted to get out so he and his girlfriend, Norm and I, and our son Bob and his girls 7&12 joined in too. Stacy's DH broke out a 1000 piece puzzle and we all worked on it. Ordered in Chinese and we all enjoyed an impromptu afternoon together. We got the puzzle about two thirds done so they can finish it off. Was great to just have the chance to enjoy each other.

Now I'm doing the breathing machine and getting ready for my jammies too Betty.

Boy that pizza looks good.

Joel had to work all day, just called, he's on his way home from a 12 hour workday. I made tomatoless goulash, it's just about done, I hope it's good. I think it's going to be more like a hamburger/macaroni dish than goulash but that's fine with me!

My son and grandson are arriving by plane tonight for a 4 day visit from Spokane. Luke, GS is 5. Todd, my son, had no idea he was coming. Hi wife made the flight reservations months ago and then coordinated it with his office. He is a Dr. and was totally surprised he was bringing his son to visit his Grandmother and Aunt.. Because I am full time care giver, I cannot travel. That is a very sweet DIL.

So I had o clean house today and the hardest was going to be vacuuming. I have a lot of wood floors. So I proved I am a total "Red Neck".

I went out into the garage, got my landscape electric blower and blew the floor from one end to the other and especially under the couch and Vern's chair. At the other end, the dust and such ends up against a wall. Then I brought out the vacuum and cleaned up that end. My DH thinks I have completely lost it. I used the same blower last week on the cooling coils on the fridge and freezer in the kitchen. I placed wet towels around the grate, held it in place in front of the bottom of the units and then turned on the blower. The dust and cat hair went flying out and attached to the wet towels. I have a fridge/freezer side by side in the laundry room. I did the same thing to it last week but did not use the wet towels. The dust and cat hair went everywhere. So I did not originally start out a genius. Heheheheh

We are going to be 77 degrees by Tuesday so DS and DGS will have a great visit.

I woke up with back pain and stayed in bed and did a lot of stretching of the leg bothering me. I stayed at it for close to an hour and when I got up, the majority of the pain was gone. I had gotten up at 5am because male schnauzer had to go outside and I was in so much pain, I had to think of something.

Glad you all had a good day. I wonder what would happen if Katie used my idea with the blower. I am very envious of the Chinese food. One of the things that is "no way" from my cardiologist. And my heart is back to normal but he is animate about low sodium.

You all have a great Sunday. Stay warm. I told a neighbor yesterday, if we keep having such wonderful weather, the government is probably going to start charging us a Good Weather Tax.

My idea was to spray the dogs with EndDust and then chase them around the house! Seems only fair since their fur is much of the problem.

Today Scout took my alligator pillow from my bed when I wasn't looking. She likes soft toys - to pull apart.

I don't have a leaf blower or I'd use your idea.

I keep thinking of things to do but can't move due to stomach pain. Time for heavy probiotics, I think.

Watched "The Fifth Estate" last night. Interesting movie. Today I've been listening to Roy Orbison. What an amazing voice.

Must feed the dogs - hope they aren't full of stuffing.

Same old story here, started the day shovelling, and, it's a bit colder out today as well ..

Dogs had me up at 2am, and, I tossed and turned (as much as you can with 3 dogs on the bed) until almost 5am !! I seem to have lost the ability to go back to sleep ..
BUT, when you do go back to sleep at 5am .. jeeze do you have the most amazing dreams, scary that!!
Criminal Minds is going to have to some off my list of shows to watch at bedtime, SO GLAD I do not have a basement in this house LoL.

SO nice to hear you were out with family Barb, and, that Callie is doing OK

Sharon .. the gov't taxing Good Weather could happen .. don't say it too loud ..
Love the blower idea, but, ours is a gas blower, I think it'd smell up the house .. pretty powerful thing too .. it's a backpack, I might look like a larger version of 'Mary Poppins' haha

-20 here, just got in from shovelling, thought I'd give it a go incase we get as much again, shovelling part is not bad it's the lifting to throw over a 5' snow bank grrr and besides think I might call the old gals (Mom and Aunt Muriel) to see if they would like to come for lunch.

grabbed a coffee and thought I'd browse through a few totes to look for a piece of green fabric so I can finish another Queen of the Month tote bag..yesterday in cleaning a corner found some zip lock bags with pieces of coordinating color and a panel I had quilted, well, a tote bag it soon was..do them with eyes closed..this morning, big sigh, found some kits I had cut for putting your curling iron in 'hot' so guess I've something to do to keep me busy.

"M" I watched so many shows last night, can't count but I do know I skipped Criminal Minds.

Now those gals have it together re cleaning, leaf blower/endust on furries, I broke out laughing, sure did need a laugh..know I told you this before, friend of mine bought get well cards, when she is having company and hasn't time to clean she sets them out all over the place..explains to company she's been ill, not to mind the mess..brilliant idea!

Sharon, what a special DIL you have..do have a lovely visit with your family

Jean and Dianne love blues as do I, never was a fan of the Beatles though or those type of groups..Debbie and Judy are tune girls as well. Sure wish I'd have taken up an instrument..Jeff plays several, sure didn't pick it up from his mom, but my dad was musical.

Pups here are doing well. House is a shambles, they pulled down curtains, and overturned their waterbucket in the kitchen yesterday, so I now have a clean kitchen floor!

Woke up this morning to find a cop blocking my driveway with his car. I started to go out and he asked me to stay by the house, I could see flashing lights across the busy road from me (I'm on a corner and face the side street). Then noticed my car with all sorts of papers scattered on the driveway. My car was ransacked, and so were two cars across the road. The man there actually saw them. They didn't want me to walk out and "ruin" footprints in the snow. Well, they look like my footprints from when I was carrying in groceries last night. Finally let me check my car, everything that they could open was open, and all the maps, coupons, random papers were thrown everywhere, but the few things that were of any value were still there. My bluetooth speaker thing was still on the visor, my I-Pass for automatic toll road paying was there, and a small Flip video recorder. The cops took a bunch of pictures, but that was it. I still have to go out and clean up, just been putting it off.

Have to drive in to Chicago this morning to pick up bills from my 90 year old aunt. My brother usually handles her finances, but because of the pain meds he's on since his prostate surgery, he isn't supposed to drive. I hope the side streets aren't as bad as I've heard. I really hate driving in the city.

Between the puppies and car burglars you've had to get in clean up mode..going to check how far you are from Chicago..could it not be put off another day seeing weather is bad? Hope your brother starts to gain strength

Spoke to Noah, he says he can finally get out of bed on his own, has to roll to his side and slither off the bed into his knees then try and stand..guess stomach muscles cut so will take time to rebuild.

Mel said she will call in sick tomorrow, hoping to go to the dr's, talk about stress and maybe he will give her a few weeks leave and that way she can be home with Noah..no pretending she has stress, am sure she has..Kyle came home for the weekend, said there are two boses at his new job, one had special permits done for him, ordered business cards for him, that boss went away for a few days..he worked all week well into evening, Friday the other boss told Kyle not to come in Monday, didn't like him so not to bother ever coming in..feel so bad, Kyle works so hard..maybe the individual saw assigns of asperghers..only time you see it is when he gets excited he tends to move his hands strangely and kind of moves from side to side..hope not the reason! He signed a lease so will go back to the city and look for another job..I'm feeling so bad for him and for Greg and mel, didn't need this extra worry.
