Rm 303 "Sweet Interruptions" Hotel

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

thank you susan

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

My DIL is going through the same thing. She has been having stomach pain for a long time. They removed her gall bladder thinking that would fix the problem, but it did not. Now they are testing for chrohns or silliac. The testing never stops.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

they took my gallbladder 4 years ago, and they ruled out chrones

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning!

Going to Marysville today to check on my gardens.

Oh boy Crohn's Disease is awful! I have not heard anything more on my son-in-law

Yesterday I started cutting down the Loquat tree in front garden. Not cutting it all the way down, going to leave 3 big trunks so I can put bamboo shade on them. Tired of the big mess it makes!

Will be getting a dumpster next month, have tons of debris and yard cuttings after tearing up the back yard, lol

Hope everyone has a Blessed Day

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

This just sucks! Praying that your pain STAYS away this time!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Drive safely Cindy!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

thanks sissy me too.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear they ruled out Crohns Kathy! So hard on one when they are in so much pain, and the Dr.'s can't figure out why!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

A heads up ladies!! On Feb 15th a gal by this dg name sagiz01 dmailed me and wanted to join the swap. I answered her back right away and told her she had to go to the swap to sign up. She did not get back to me until Feb 16th after 1 pm this is the message I got from her. She said she was new at this.....You may not want to let her join your swaps

well thanks alot! Told you I was new it looks like some people would like to help others on here so you said to add me then oh sorry (very next day) already gave out names. What a joke; and I was teaching my kids about overlooking people who don't take time for you or shut you out, but Ill be the better person here just another example of people being people I guess some think their crap dont stink or forget where they came from. and if you don't know what that means then one day you are going to have a rude awaking!~

You know what I had that swap up for well over three weeks!! if you saw that there was a Birdhouse swap going on then that means you saw the thread. I dmailed you back as soon as I saw your message and waited for you to join you! There are rules to follow!! It would not of been fair to others who signed up to wait for you so it's your loss!! You did not get back to me until after the cut off date so it's your loss!! Further more I did NOT say I would add you I said you had to go to the swap and sign up then I would give you a name!!!

Your attitude is the type of people we DO NOT LIKE in our swaps and I will be sure to let the others know who you are!!!!!!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Some people just can't seem to accept there are rules to follow in swaps and they are NOT the exception. Sorry you had to be the one who had to listen to her ranting and raving. If she really wanted to get in on the swap she should have signed up right away.

Tomorrow I am going to put a pot roast in the oven via Martha Stewart instructions. I'm anxious to see how it turns out. There should be enough for a few meals for me. I'm not a big meat eater so it should go a long way.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

it may be that she just found out at the end (therefore the "new to this" comment) BUT that being said, there was a timeline, and she really ranted on...........

Pegi - I did a Black Turkey a la Martha Stewart one time - Never again!
30 ingredients for the stuffing (had to start it the night before) and when cooking the turkey I had to leave my guests every 15 minutes to baste it!
I was really good, but way too time constrictive.......... on a holiday, I like to spend time with my guests, not in the kitchen cut off from everyone!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

I have a feeling she could be a young stay at home mom or a scammer/hacker by getting people's addresses so beware. Just got a real snotty dmail back. How do you block people?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

not sure, but you could report her to DG........
Don't give her the satisfaction of d-mailing her back, cuz you could get into a real "go-round" with her, and that would only get your blood pressure up -- not a good idea!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

I deleted the whole thing :) Been telling myself this every day. Have so many things going on ugh!

Good and Bad News..........Bad...The owner decided not to sell and they are still renting hope they don't screw it up......Good, I told it's gives us a chance to work and our credit and see if we can buy it a year for now. Because I think my Brother will be released May 2016, he is up for review in Nov but maybe sooner if I am able to meet with Life Support Alliance. Got the transcripts from the hearing... Holy Cow that woman's language and my Brother said to see her she acted like she was in front of a jury.

Got Calla Lilies in bloom here and lots of stuff coming up Voo Doo lilies have a ton of those coming up at Mom's too. Uuuummmmmm Lavender. Bella Donna Lilies

Sorry to hear they are not selling the house. Maybe all your rent can go towards the house when you do buy it.
Beautiful flowers!

Hey Pegi, how are you doing? Let us know how dinner turned out.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Cindy - those are Gorgeous!

Sorry to hear about the bad news re: house, but it could turn around in a year and get better, right?
and as for your brother getting out next year - time flies, and it will be here before you know it!!

Hi, I am so backed up and i am interrupted again today.

But, I am going to try and send this message again! This will make it...don't even know.
Anyhow, Hello!!

Kathy, Keeping you in thoughts and prayers. My goodness, i wish medical could a way to test everything to see whats going on. Sure hope they find out fast(er). in mean time sending Gentle Armwraps.

Waiving hi Susan, hope your enjoying your sewing time.

Cindy, Ah my, sorry about what happened, it sucks! Well take a deep breath, hopefully that is over.
Well it's a bummer about the house, but will keep fingers crossed it will be doable, might be a good thing so you and Mom can save up. Wishing you good luck.

Big smiles, thanks Karen, linda kay and Sue! I am still smiling at the memory of their being here...
Whew took the better part of Monday to get things back in order. And then This Aunti crashed big time, lol.

Sue!! OMG, I would just love to browse your Library. Wow, I love that you still have your library from childhood...I only had a handful of books and they were left at where ever I was living...The most important items I ever grabbed was my camera and pictures and 1 doll, lol. Well anyway, Are you willing to wait until June for me? And, LOL, here is a question for you? Have you or anyone ever read or hear of the book "Take Me Home? I thought it was by Judy Blume...It was a small sort of goldenrod book with picture of a doll on the cover. That was probably the first book i recall falling in love with. Had to b in the early 70's, the story of a doll named Robin, lived in the woods, when a girl named Susan finds her and takes her home with her, Robins animal friends rescue her.
Awe, isn't Charlie a beautiful story, I just love it! When i found it in the book story, i read it and cried right there in the isle...I'll read it to anyone.

Sistah Jaye, Sending you Armwraps, sure hope you are doing well.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Cindy, I wouldn't let her get to me. Don't give her another thought.
Very cold here today. Going to get my nails done, I'm going to Bayou LaBatre and Mobile this weekend. I'm meeting Michael down there Friday. Keep your fingers crossed my stomach behaves.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

The pot roast will go in the oven today. Didn't have enough time after I got the ingredients together yesterday. I usually make a big mess putting something together. Let you know how it turns out.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

There is a recipe for Pot Roast called 3 envelope Pot Roast, I make this quite often. So simply and so yummy I had a hard time keeping Doug out of it while it was cooking and there was NEVER any left overs lol

Back in Auburn, where the sun is shining, it was so foggy in Marysville. Doug said it hangs around until late afternoon.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Ok, let's have it Cindy! I'd like that recipe!

We've made a really good roast recently. Simple, too. Roast in the crockpot, one envelope au jus over that and a stick of butter on top. That's it! Yummy!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

is it the same as this?
http://www.justapinch.com/recipes/main-course/beef/3-envelope-roast.html

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Yup Susan, that's it. It is so yummy!!! One day I was at store couldn't remember what I needed so I just got other dry mixes (can't remember what those were either ) but turned out just as good.

hey LK remember me saying I was going to sell a Singer sewing machine??? Weelllll I looked up the one we have with all attachments it's going for $800, so we are taking it to a sewing machine store to see what they offer. They wanted it a few years ago and mom wouldn't sell, well now she doesn't sew and I have a fancy machine.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Watch out for trying to sell it to a store. They might offer you half of what it is worth.

Hey Judy, how ya doing?

Glenview, IL

hi Linda Kay, doing ok.
right now pacing waiting for Steve.
Got a txt from him at the doc, cut his thumb pretty good at docs getting stitches.
yikes, that was 2 hours ago, starting to get worried.

What you up to all day?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Judy - they'll likely give him a tetanus shot and he'll have to wait a bit before they let him go home. Nothing to worry about, I'm sure. Don't want him driving woozy!! He'll be fine.

Yaaaaay on being able to sell your sewing machine for a good price! Hope the store gives you a good price :-)

Bob had brought home a poly "locker" and I put it up today, with craft stuff in it now :-)
it's making me tidy my sewing room - omg!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh no. I hope it's not too bad Judy.

Glenview, IL

sigh, it's been get hurt day here.
First I fell trying to step over a snow bank, not drastic but cut my thumb muscle on ice, enough that it hurts, body too from doing the avoidance dance...
Then Jake was putting things away and nicked a nice little hole in his finger, as we were cleaning that up got txt from DH. So he is finally home.
Very, Very lucky! He was grinding and it jumped, slicing his thumb this time in the flesh.
Severed an artery. He butterflied it, drove to the doc..He said DH was very good at bandaging and good thing because he could have bled out. 4 stitches to the artery and 9 to the skin.

Yep he did get another tetnus...
We are all wiped, we having dinner and lights out.
Be safe Everyone.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Judy, it is time to take a deep breath, have a beer or two and relax.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

The roast turned out good, meat just falls apart. I found a small bottle of red wine in the fridge so I thought "why not" She said it was optional and it was handy. Not enough seasoning so I added some cajun seasoning to mine. Made a small cold slaw salad and I'm full. I know what I'll be eating for a while. Don't know if I would do it again. I think once is enough. Martha has all the help she needs to do her cooking, so she thinks we have maids too!

Well, a little excitement here. Fire truck and ambulance stopped in front of my neighbors across the street. Of course I had to see what was going on. They took him away in the ambulance, but he was moving around and no oxygen on him. This is the neighbor who caused us a lot of trouble when we moved in here. She thought she owned the street and didn't want any excess noise from any one. You would think she would get in her car and follow him to the hospital.but car hasn't moved. Maybe he didn't want her there, son calls her Mrs. Olsen from Little House on the Prairie. She has quieted down since he retired, doesn't call the city on me for every little thing. LOL

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Judy - wow, your family is in "hurt city" today! 2 thumbs and a hole in the finger....... yikes!
I agree with LK - time to relax and have a beer!!

Pegi - how long did it take to do your Martha Stewart roast?
Glad to hear it was good, and that you "spiced it up" a little lol

Good Morning!

Pegi, I'm glad your roast turned out good. Maybe freeze some left overs for another time.

...Had to giggle about her having lots of help, your right. Once, I thought MS was the bomb, then I don't know what happened but I just don't care for her. I will not buy any of her products, Although I did utilize a few idea's...
Ohhh, what fun you discovered the wine, I am not much of a cook but wow adding the wine makes a gigantic difference! LOLOL, I even use it to clean the caked on from pans and it's the best! the only thing is you have do it quick, really I was highly impressed.

OMG, I can so relate on your neighbor situation, have some just like that. We just stay clear of them...Ours have issues with anyone parking directly in front of our house. (across from them) On Mothers day, Our side neighbors had company and the wife came and to yelling for us to move our cars! We were like well we would except these aren't anyone we know. She just kept yelling. Neighbors next to us were all like Happy Mothers Day and she spewed she wished it was but We ruined it!! LOL, turned out the parked car was one of theirs. they apologized profusely and moved the car. OH, but they can park their car their anytime they want... Parking thing started way back to when we first moved here 16 years ago!! And, their visiting kids rages about it too, lol it's just so stupid....hahaha, here is a good laugh. Once I was looking out the window, the husband came and parked there, mind you we all have a three car drive, theirs was empty. He pulls up anyway, get out and out stretches his arms front and back of cars measuring distance I, guess. Gets back in and adjust and does the same ritual. He did this like 4 times. I was laughing so hard I was crying.
At any rate, hope your neighbor is ok.

Yep a crazy day for sure, I had 1 beer with my dinner and went to bed. DH, not far after me.

New day! Hope it is good and safe for all.
Prayers and Armwraps for everyone
.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Judy, glad everything ended up okay. Bet you're sore today.

It's -3 here right now. I must say I slept really well under my comforter. Didn't really want to get up! I'm supposed to clean house today. However, it's my niece and I think I'll wait till it gets above 0!!!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)
