Have you been checked for diverticulitis?

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

(((((Ernie))))) I'm so sorry to hear about your kidneys. I'm sending healing thoughts and prayers your way.

Been busy this week. Have a girls day out today. Looking forward to it.

Sissy, I'm so sorry you're still in pain. What did the colonoscopy show?

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Happy Birthday Judy!!!

Sorry you're still in pain Kathy, I'd be asking to see a specialist, if you haven't already. It took two find out what my mom's problem was. I let her idiot doctor know just what I thought of her!!! She said that my mom needed to see a therapist! I came unglued!!! I said and just how do you think a therapist is going to help with the severe pain my mom is having? her reply "You would be surprised how they can help" grrrrrrrrrrrrr at that point I said "Come on mom, we are getting you a new doctor, and out the door we went!!!! This doctor has lost a lot of patients, and no wonder she comes in dressed like she is going to a fashion show not looking like a doctor at all!!!! But due to my mom's crappy insurance we can't find her a good doctor :(

For those that are on FB and might be interested in getting vegetable and flower seeds, we are doing a Seed Box Train and need Riders...give it a though ok... Thanks

Going to work again in back yard, moving fences. No word from tree guy yet as to when he will be here, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I can't do a whole lot until the tree is taking care of.

Once I was in a lot of pain and my Dr. wasn't in. I saw one of her associates. The woman said I need to see a psychiatrist to figure out why I was so upset. Instead of taking me home my hubby took me to the hospital where I was diagnosed with pancrititis.. Guess what, that so called Dr. left the practice soon after.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Happy Birthday, Judy!! (katie should receive her Santa Warren gift any day now)

Kathy - sending prayers that you find out what the pain's all about......

omg - I Love turtles, Cindy! (not the chocolate-type, do not like them, but DO like the ones in the garden - ceramic, doncha know?!?!)

gawd, some Dr's, eh? I have arthritis in my jaw which it used to lock up all the time, and once went to a Dr who said I needed a "shot in the jaw" but offered nothing else. Next time I went back to him, I asked for the needle, and he said "I didn't mean a needle, I meant someone needs to punch you in the jaw......" Then he said "you women - it's all in your head"............ well DUH - my jaw's in my head!!

Cindy, do you have a link for the seed round robin?

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Um No LK it is Neighbor Helping Neighbor on FB, you have to join but I just remembered we aren't letting new members on the Train but if you join and want on I can put a good word in for you :)

key word for doctor's "Practicing Medicine" lol

I am pooped, lol my cousin and I worked out in the back yard or I should say swamp!! We were moving chain link fence from around chicken yard (1st pic)and putting along back part of garden area (2nd pic) and I got stuck in the mud (3rd pic) and Debbie had to grab my foot to pull me out, lol. There is a spring on the hill side and with the storm we just had it is full. I told Debbie, now if it could rain one day each week I wouldn't have to worry about watering the garden lol. On the other side of the pallet in 2nd pic is where I am going to plant asparagus. Then I thought I would use this side of the pallet to a make it an Herb. And the last pic is of the pond that got accidentally drained. There are water lilies I need to separate. The oak leaves and fish poo are going in to the garden. :)

Happy Birthday my Indian sister Judy!
God bless you and hope the kids treat you to something special.

Karen you certainly moves around like a 40 year old. Me, running 2 errands in town will set me back in the recliner for hours!!'

Cindy, that's a lot of work. Blessed are you to have help.

Poor sis Kathy. They released you without finding the cause? That's just not right, you've been having problems on an off with your stomach.. more ons than offs.

How did your Chana Masala turned out Susan? Did you make it the Southern Indian style or Northern Indian (Punjabi)?
It's been a long time I had some, the one with chickpeas. Late Grandad made them so spicy but the cucumber with yoghurt on the side helps cool our tongues!

We see more heartless, incompetent service in the medical field for sure. Caregivers that don't give a rats ass and doctors that won't take time to give a proper diagnosis.. all wanting their paychecks.
Kel's uncle who was just operated for a broke hip, was admitted to a nursing home for he needed therapy thrice a day, before he can resume his chemo treatments.
The second day, he fell, trying to use the bathroom on his own, after repeated buzzings for an aide.
There were chuckles by an aide when the bruises were spotted. Fortunately, a fellow resident witnessed that.
The third day which was yesterday, he soiled in his bed. Laid in his filth for 2 hours, before an aide appeared. His wife didn't visit him as she stayed home to rest, thinking he will be well looked after.
His daughter that was judged by family members for not visiting her father when he's hospitalized came to his rescue. She got him out and immediately called her lawyer.

(By the way, Bhole was criticizing her so bad, that I had to tell him not to judge and that there must be a reason for her not to be able to be at her dad's side. Kel said I was preaching, until I reminded him of his plans to abandon his mother and me. Then when Tracey "did right". I gloat and told Kel that apparently, God knows what He's doing and that He has a purpose for Tracey.)

LK, it's potato soup today, so I had to lay off the spices!!

Waving to Cookie, Barb, Thunder, Sue, Pegi et Marion. Avec LizH..

Wednesday night prayers, you are all covered.. even you Ernie. Love to all.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Nothing wrong with potato soup! Sprinkle some crispy bacon on the top, maybe some shredded cheese!!!

So sorry to hear of the nursing home incident. I hope he is in good hands now!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Jaye - it was a mild Chana Masala (chick peas) we had - no idea which side of India it's a recipe of
What awful treatment in a care home!!!

Well, I'm officially crazy..... spent 12 hours trying to "crack" my windows password, and still can't get in......
JUST figured out my email password, and therefore able to get onto DG (didn't have this password either)...... I was going nuts without you!!

I'm on my hubby's computer, but all my stuff is on MY computer.....
tried working on his computer, but it's all messed up with a hacker program that "grabs" web pages and won't let you go on one that will help you get rid of it...... and keeps itself as the Home Page. It's a program called Trivoli........

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I sure hope you can get his computer fixed soon!

Pegi, how are you doing? You supposed to have y our procedure done yesterday?

Morning everyone!

Blackie got fixed yesterday, we need to go pick him up in about an hour. I sure have missed him, so has Luna!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Good news to report. Had my procedure yesterday and they found no blockage so I could come home same day, except I had to be in recovery so darn long. Doctor said if you don't get any blockage at my age you won't get any. I asked about the hiatal hernia I've had for years and he said that could have been causing my symptoms. Even though it was rush hour and traffic crawling at a snail pace we got there in plenty of time. An all day affair, didn't get home until after 5:30 PM, what a long day. Have to take it easy for a few days, no bending over or lifting anything heavy. Ernie, you had said you talked to a man about me and he said I would be fine. Thank you for that. Prayers were much appreciated. I had asked about where they put the tube in and said the groin, Asked about wrist or arm and the nurse said they had issues with that. I kept telling them not to hurt me and they didn't. LOL

I can't believe it is supposed to get to 88 today, no sign of rain either. Mandy went crazy when I came in the door. She thinks I should be here with her 24/7.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

oh Pegi!! What wonderful news first thing in the morning!! yaaaaaaaay!!!
Glad they didn't hurt you :-)

aww poor Blackie - all fixed ........ I'll bet you have missed him.

Nothing new on the computer front.....

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

btw - Bob's been with the co as of Feb 10th, 1 year, and got a raise.
hard to believe it's been that long!! I'm so proud of him

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Glad all went so well Pegi. Yeah the not moving the leg after is a drag but the news is all good. Worth it all for the peace of mind.

I have a small hiatal hernia too. Dr. told me I had to learn to differentiate between the pain from that and heart pain, even though all the pain was in the exact same spot and felt the same. Now here's the kicker.. Since 2nd stent, I have had no more pain at all. Hmmmmmm. Makes me wonder if something was wrong with the first stent from the beginning. Can just bet they will tell me the truth.

Thanks for checking in Pegi, I was worried about you. Glad to hear all went well!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear your doing well too, Karen

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

I think some Dr's don't tell everything, because they're afraid that you won't take it well, and sometimes because they're afraid to show they might not know!!! Can't be having those medical suits, after all......... never mind the patient - it's all about the $$
geeze, I sound cynical - wonder why?!?!?! lol
My current Dr will tell me everything, and I appreciate that!!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I've only ever had one I trusted totally. Not such a good record is it?

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I sure was lucky when I first got my doctor, he was so good and answered all questions and now that he is retiring I wonder if I'll get another great doctor or one that just seems to put his time in each day. I don't think I was told hiatal hernia would cause me pain, maybe I was told way back then but don't remember. There was this very young doctor at the hospital yesterday and I had asked him if he wasn't too young to be working at Kaiser. He just gave me this cute smile. I swear he looked like a teenager and I would have liked to take him home with me. I always want to take home the handsome doctors with nice curly hair, but one nurse told me his wife probably wouldn't like it. Have more questions to ask my doctor when I see him next month.

On my list today, since I'm feeling pretty good is a bath for Mandy. Going to be a very warm day so hope she doesn't mind it. I can use the kitchen sink so no bending over.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

tsk tsk tsk Pegi - sounds like you're getting your heart racing with the cute Dr's lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Nothing wrong with looking at the nice eye candy!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Gastro Dr. that did upper G.I. did not tell me I had the hiatal hernia. He only said I had mild stomach irritation. It was heart Dr. who said it was in my records and then printed me a copy of Gastro's report. Have follow-up with him later this month, going to ask why I wasn't told.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

yeah, you should have been told - it would have made a difference in what you did - moving, lifting, etc. It could have ruptured, I think?!?!

Glad you both are doing better. Good to know there is no more blockage .
not much going on here today.

Hiccup........
But that reminds me - I have a baby blanket to knit by mid-march

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

My first baby is 44 years old today! I'm still not sure how that can be since I'm only 49. ;0)

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

My doctor was the best!! When he walked in the room he always gave me a hug. When he found out my husband was killed, he had his nurse call me ask her to have me come in. He wanted to make sure I was doing ok. He passed away two years ago from cancer at the young age of 58. Now I see a woman whom I like very well.

My SIL is killing himself :( he has Chron's Disease and will not eat or take his medicine. he has been in and out of the hospital several times. I have not seen him in a couple of months but last time I did he weighted 122 pounds, but my daughter told my mom today that he is nothing but skin and bones. My daughter told him "Kelly I am not your mother, I can't take care of you if you won't help yourself" He is very stubborn and selfish. He is not thinking about what will happen to his family. I had a long talk with my cousin who is an RN and she explained what happens. She said if he doesn't get help now he will die soon. My daughter will go over the deep end if this happens. I have tried talking to her before about Kelly getting help and it does no good because he won't listen. His mom would be very upset if she saw him, but if she were alive today this wouldn't be happening. I just don't know what more I can do :(

Cookie... i don't get it either ??? weird huh ?
Cindy sorry to hear about SIL. sometimes you just have to wonder. ? hope he can find it in himself to get some help.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Happy Birthday to your baby Cookie!

Cindy so sorry t hear about your SIL! Sending prayers. Sometimes all the meds that are needed, can do more damage the the disease you are being treated for. I pray he will realize he has a family he needs to live for!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

oh my - had a baby when you were 5 yo? Joyce......... sorry, that's NOT possible LOL
double digit birthday..... wow 44!

Cindy - sometimes the cure is worse than the disease, but to say she won't take any meds is wrong.

N.C. Mts., NC(Zone 6b)

I tell my 61 year old DD to quit telling people her age. Oh dear she will 62 this month.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

LMAO too funny..... well, I turned 60 last year, so next month I'll be 61......

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I will be 60 in June. Where did the time go? My baby turned 33 last October.
