Morning everyone!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Good luck with your procedure today, Kathy. Hope they can find your problem and fix it!

~~~~~~waving to all! Have a great week!
(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)
Ernie - we will return the Super Bowl rings when Seattle learns to get a GOOD coach!!! We here in NE can live with the snow - rather that than floods!!!!
TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)
Lolol!!!!! Ernie, Barb has a point there!!! Seahawks need a better coach that can call better plays!!! Lolol!!!
Prayers go out to everyone and Sis Kathy, you are blessed that your church will be praying for you too.
LK, I'm over the crud, I think it's my kidneys, being diabetic I'm prone to infections.
Hehehe.. still laughing here.
TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)
I Almost wish I knew something about sports when I hear y'all talking about it - ALMOST....... but not quite lol
Kathy - prayers really help, don't they?!?! Add mine to the church's
Jaye - have SO missed you here - glad you're over the crud, but you really need to take better care of yourself, and maybe burning the chops is Exactly the type of care you need hehehehe
Back to quilting - I'm on a roll!!
(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)
Good Morning Ladies,
I think today is the last day to rain. The lakes are looking better but we are still in drought stage. I had to go out and play in the rain just a few minutes ago. I think a raccoon came in last night and got into the pond that had 1 good size fish in it :( I was looking out to see how full all the ponds were and noticed one was EMPTY!!! The hose to the pump got knocked out of the water and it drained all the water out!!! Oh well, now I can clean it out really good and get it ready for Spring. Plus I have some fish poo to add to the garden grounds now. Boy was it stinky LOL
I had a heated conversation with one of my brother's long time friend's :( She made some smart ass remarks about how inmates get "Country Club" living, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Well I let her know a few things and told her to trade places with him!!! It really upsets me for people who do not have family behind walls to make comments about how good they have it. She even said "I should commit a crime, just so I can survive!" She is Indian and gets money every month without having to work for it!!! grrrrrrrrrrrr yea my Monday is off to a good start, lol.
Kathy, hope they find out what is going on with you. Good Luck today
LK, I am starting some more Pride of Barbados seeds, praying these will sprout and grow. I really want to grow some of these shrubs/trees, have the perfect spot for several of them :)
Hope ya all have a Blessed Day
TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)
oh Cindy - sorry you lost your fishie!! Do you put steel mesh over the ponds? Nice that you can see the silver lining.... that's my preference :-)
None of those without the situation of having an inmate in the family can truly understand what it's like for them. My son was in Juvenile detention for a year when he was young - spent his 18th birthday inside, and I spent a birthday in court
(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)
Glad to hear you gave it to her Cindy!
(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)
This pond we didn't because it was just for plants after a mama raccoon and her babies had a feast in it about 3 yrs ago. They got over 50 fish that night and this one fish was the only survivor and he got to be about 8 inches long, well he's gone now. We have two other ponds 100 gallon and 250 gallon with TONS of fish, we even have babies from this last Spring. They both have wire covers, one which I need to make a new one. I will have to get these two ponds cleaned out as soon as the weather starts warming up. Will be fun to see how many babies we got :)
Yes, I'm sure she is sorry now and some of my brother's other friends saw the conversation, she even said sorry to my mom, but my mom was the one that said "He would be hurt to know she said that" I didn't let her know that though.
(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)
What do you feed all those fish Cindy! You must buy fish food by the pound?
(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)
LOL yes LK we do buy it by the pound, 10 lb bags actually Plus we have Parrot Feather growing in it which they love!! I have a 100 gallon water trough that I grow the Parrot Feather in, and every Spring when I clean out the ponds I add more.
(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)
What is parrot feather?
TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)
used to have this in my indoor aquarium - it's definitely something fish love hahaha they even have it in plastic form (fish can't eat it though lol)
(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)
Thanks for the link, I had no idea what it was. I just call all fish tank plants seaweed! :)
Everson, WA(Zone 8a)
I have been struggling with health issues since 2010. Today I got the poor news of failing kidneys . My kidney function has been 25% for the last year but now has sunk to 17% just from Oct to now. The dr wants me to get ready for dialysis. I am leaning towards not taking that option but a lot of sedation and just go to sleep. I am so tired.
I think I will have a nap then go build a birdhouse. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)
((((((Hugs)))))) Ernie........
What a scary thing to hear. I feel badly for you, Ernie.
I hope that you take the right option and live. You're a valued member of this group and I know that we really enjoy your conversation, your creativity, and your gardening skills
(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)
Oh Ernie - I'm so sorry to read that. Hard choices in front of you... Wish we could take it all away.... Keeping you in my prayers.
TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)
Cindy, you can exchange notes with Cookie!! She's a pond fish specialist too!
Some people really think that there all prisoners want to stay behind bars. Tell that person don't judge, lest she be judged.
((((((Ernie)))))) So sad to read that your kidneys are operating at less than 20 percent. But, please do opt for dialysis.
My father was a candidate for dialysis, but in Singapore, with a socialist health program, due to his age (50), he's at the end of the list for so few dialysis machines. He never got any treatment. He died not ever seeing one grandchild.
Please, we love you very much, and want you to be around for a long, long time.
I am sure your family wants the same.
Don't give up please.
LK, I tried the Julio's Chipotle sauce and it's awesome!!! Love it!!
So.. a few minutes ago, I cut up some chichen breasts into strips, marinate them with pesto and chipotle sauce. Think I was heavy handed with the chipotle sauce.
OOOooops... b-hole don't care for spicy :D
BUT, he always return home hungry after 15 hours' work, and I am banking on that fact that he'd gobble them up. Moreover there are no more cans of Chef Boyardee!! :D
Will have to hope that I have enough red pepper plakes for his 'red' pizza for tomorrow's lunch :D
Hmmm.... Susan... I am a bad girl!! Lolol.
Oh yea I totally forgot about Cookie's pond. Would love to have one big pond like that......maybe some day in the far future.
The sad thing about it, is she's been a close friend to my brother for 45 years! I wasn't trying to get into an argument with her I was just trying to point out how wrong she was about what she said. Here is what she said, " free food free clothes free rent free utilities free education.maybe i should commit a crime so i can survive." She has no idea the kind of medical they receive. She herself has major medical problems that if she did have to live on the inside she would not last a month. To get any kind of medical other than your daily meds takes months to see a doctor. And right now they don't have a doctor he quit!!! The food is horrible, sour milk with every meal daily. But then she came back with a nasty response and used the F word over and over, totally uncalled for and really classy language for a lady. She made herself look really bad to rest of her friend's that are some of my brother's friend's. She told me go ahead and tell him, but I know how bad this will hurt him so I'm not going there. He will probably hear it from one of them. My mom is the one who said he would be really hurt to know that she made those comments and feels the way she does.
LOL Jaye, you are so funny..............
(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)
Ernie, sorry to hear your diagnosis. I agree with everyone else. Sending prayers your way.
Jaye, glad to hear you like the sauces, but don't over do it.
TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)
hahahaha there are days and ways to be bad, Jaye, and I surely am not one to judge LMAO
Go for it, girl!!
Cindy - "what goes around, comes around" and Karma will happen to her. Don't even give what she says "air time". She's not worth it, if she talks like this and won't listen. My goodness - such language from a "lady"!!
(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)
A Little Bit of West Texas
Wyman Meinzer is the photographer who once lived in the old jail in Benjamin, TX . The photo of the coiled rattlesnake appeared on the cover of a wildlife magazine in the 80's. He said there were times he crawled a long way on his belly to get a good shot of a wild animal. And the music is perfect. It was a pleasure to see so many living deer with such amazing antlers.
The music is by Doug Smith. Doug is from Petersburg, Texas. Doug plays by ear - He cannot read music. A pickup accident left Doug paralyzed, but fortunately he has learned to play again. Most of the pictures were taken in West Texas in the rolling plains (Caprock to Seymour), the Fork, 6666, and Waggoner Ranches. There are some scenes in Palo Duro Canyon.
Take a few moments and view and listen. I doubt you'll ever see such fantastic use of music set to amazing animal and landscape photography. The changes in the tempo perfectly compliment the scenery. It is quite simply a beautiful portrayal of the state of Texas.
Hope you all have a Blessed Tuesday!
TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)
I am enjoying quilt piecing :-)
Pulling out my creative side, which has lain dormant for SO long lol
TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)
Thank you Cindy, I see the beauty of God in the video, and the music is so awesome. I had shared with a couole of friends and with Bhole too.
Sue, with a yoga instructor cert, you can teach it anywhere there's an interest, especially in Cosmopolitan cities.
Susan, I think Thunder love to hand piece, with the small ones, but I stil prefer machine piecing.
I now can take as hot as I used to, LK. Got some Protonix refilled, and GERD has stopped bothering me!!
Anyway, as expected he ate everything. But this afternoon, he surprised me getting a burger and right before he left for his usual first stop before hitting prison, he told me not to cook for tomorrow morning, as he'd be getting some cans of his favorite Spaghetti and meatballs.
I am beginning to like these self imposed burnt offerings :D
Wet, Windy and a whole day of sugar free hot drinks.
Thinking of my poor Barb, Karen, Cookie, Sue, Susan and Synda... at least I don't have the white stuff.
Karen, how ARE you doing? Got to put that in caps, and thanking God you had a succesful stent implant.
Anyone heard from Sis Kathy? When it rains, seems the telephone line is always static.
Pegi, again I wish one of us is with you.
Ernie, hugs and prayers for you as well/
(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)
Last I heard from Kathy was a few days ago. She was still in the hospital waiting to go in for a colonoscopy.
Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)
I'm fine Jaye dear. I even got out for a bit today. Exciting stuff....paid property taxes, hubby dropped pkgs. at UPS, picked up quilt from long armer(Now I did enjoy that), then we went to our fav. spot for brunch. Enjoyed that too had Eggs Benedict, love them but don't indulge very often. By then I was worn out and glad to be back home. I'm very impatient with my lack of stamina.
TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)
Thanks Jaye, for thinking of us in our snow bound cities :-)
Thunder hand pieces?
Karen - whenever I see your icon picture, I picture it being you, not your DGD, so I don't expect to hear about things like "lack of stamina" lol
Off to make dinner - Chana Masala! Never made it before, but going to have fun with it!
