Good Morning Ladies,

Well so far the storm has not hit us as hard as some other parts of CA. It's really funny it was raining all around us yesterday we were in the "blue" while other parts were "green" and "yellow" It's not done yet so we will see what happens.

Judy, I moved back in with my mom the first part of Jan. due to her health and failing eye sight. Doug is still living in Marysville and we are trying to buy the house. I plan on going back there someday. Hopefully by the end of 2016. it will all depend on if my Bro will be paroled. He was given a 3 year denial and we are appealing it. The two women who were on the board of the hearing did not give him a fair chance. I will be getting the transcripts from the hearing today. They said some not so nice things about my family and his AA sponsor who happens to be a biker friend of mine. I have been doing a lot of research on "Getting Paroled" and came across a site that I think can help us get my Brother paroled. I really need him to come home so I can get back to living My Life. As for the rain...Not a drag we need it badly!!! We are looking at a possible 4th year drought. This storm we are having now is helping but not enough, it's too warm to get much snow and we really need the snow to fill our lakes back up.

The tree guy will be here sometime next week, after Tuesday the temps are to be around 65. Once he is done I can continue working in the back yard. I told mom we are going to have a HUGE garden this year. On FB we have a garden group that swaps seeds, and I am in charge of the West Coast Seed Train. So looking forward to getting donations of seeds and sharing with other peeps in other states. I know it's going to be time consuming but I have lots of help and time :) Oh BTW the beautiful Butterfly house you made me sits on top of my desk, it will NEVER go outside! I will treasure it forever!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

WOW Ernie, congrats on the 483 pounder!

Cindy, I do hope you get some rain. But not too much!

good morning
off to basketball

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Ladies,

Kathy, so sorry you are going through this hope they find out what's going on. Back in the summer my mom had issues with her stomach. Took her quack doctor and 2 specialist to finally get to the bottom of it. And they still aren't exactly sure what's wrong. But she is doing better and gaining back her weight. She eats more than I do, lol

Well we didn't get as much rain as some other parts of CA, yesterday was a nice day tried to rain here and there, but this beauty showed up........................

Hope you all have a Blessed Sunday

Happy this Sunday! My knees are feeling ok, and we're able to get back into a regular routine. After the past week, this truly IS a blessed thing :-)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Well, my vein collapsed, and it took them three tries before they could get another one. They were popping every time they stuck e.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

OUCH! That is not good!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Me again, lol

I belong to a seed swap on FB and am in need of info:
am looking for information on the best time to start germinating seeds in these states:

Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

I am in a seed train swap and need as much info about the East coast and planting times etc. I live in California and don't want to send seeds if they are going to get damaged due to the cold weather

Thanks To Anyone who can HELP ME!!! lol

hey everyone.
Nice visit with Tom. Austin won his game.
Tim is taking kids to the next game. i can have some peace and quiet.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Cindy, I guess it all depends on the type of seeds. Some things like sweet peas like to be planted early, as they like the cool temps. Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland are all still pretty cold, but I don't think mailing seeds would hurt them. Especially if they are in a bubble wrap envelope to keep them from getting smashed. The bubble wrap would also protect them.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Well when I was in TPE, they wouldn't do that because they said they would. So they would stop sending the seed boxes in Nov. I argued with them that it was not fair to those of us on the West coast and with the list being so long it was taking more than a year for the boxes to get to everyone. So I dropped out. But I'm not the "Conductor" of that train, just trying to help the gal who is by getting as much info as possible. Not having much luck. I think I will tell her to check the Farmer's Almanac. You see there is going to be at least 10 people, and TONS of seeds to ship so it will be priority boxes.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LK,
How long did it take your Pride of Barbados to come up after you sprouted the seeds? Two pink ones sprouted and I planted them in a small peat pot, keeping it in my jiffy try, warm and moist. I'm still have problems getting the other colors sprout, maybe they are too wet? Cuz they mildew and turn soft.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LOL we are getting some rain now :) my cousin said her pool is filling up fast and it's a big pool but they have been getting steady rain since Friday, with some good down pours....need to change date on camera :)

Sounds like they are too wet, if they are getting moldy. The first year they are slow growing. They may or may not bloom. They will die back in the winter. And next spring they will come back bigger and better.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hello everyone. Internet was misbehaving for 2 days.
Then this morning I had the chills at church, right before service. Had to return home, take some Tylenol, sleep it off.. then back to church for the evening service.
Don't know what it was, but at least I think I had broken the fever.

Anyway, Ernie, I love your very beautiful pictures of your produce. So many tomatoes and they all glistened!!
Wish I'm as lucky as that woman, able to enjoy some.
Salsa... tomato puree... tomato jelly... home made spaghetti sauce... You certainly have green HANDS!!

Sis Kathy. I think you just can't get over Bama loss~ Sorry sis.. pulling your leg. Hope you'd recover FAST~
At least you made some sistahs laugh!!!
Stay away from Tony's creole seasoning.

Sistah Judy, armwraps!!!!!

I had plans for this place, but no more. You are creative Cookie, and whatever plans you have for a new look kitchen, wiill be carried out beautifully.

Wow Cindy!! You're ambitious for a extravagant 2015 garden. Wishing you luck on germination, as I am not qualified to give you any tips! I suck at that!!

Waving to Sue, LK *thanks* Barb, Pegi. Karen, Thunder, Susan, Marion.

Trying not to burn his food.. but looks like it's too late. Burnt fried pork chops for his royal buttness tonight. :D

We were instructed to work on our love for everyone. Oh it's so easy to love you all!!
