That's alright, Betty - I should have had things well "in hand" a long time ago, and I haven't even touched mine that I received back.
I stress myself out, and then freeze. That WILL NOT happen. These quilt centers are not mine to treat as "UFO's", but belong to others. They will get done.
I'm just really pleased that my sewing table is fixed, the Loom is not "looming over me" (pun) and I can get back to sewing. I'm feeling better, emotionally.
Physically I'm feeling better too - nothing hurting my knee since Monday night, so that's a good thing.
Had a good night's sleep last night - didn't the 2 nights before. My knee & leg & ankle's swelling has gone down.
Now, if I could only hear about the job.......
Best/Worse/WhatdidIlearn today?chat with friends old/new
Hmmmmmmm .. what exactly do you make for the Round Robin? Is it 'quiltables' only?
Good luck Susan .. glad you found your thingamadoodie :-)
Betty, stellar news re your Mom and Buffalo ..
Dianne .. I sure do hope Streak voids .. Smokey is doing well in the bladder dept ..not eating all that well though ..
Watching Corrie .. early bedtime for me tonight .. praying I'm not coming down with what Gord has :-(
Sleep well all
~M~
At least Susan, working on them will take your mind off waiting for a phone call. Could be they are still working on making a decision. As they say "No news is good news".
Just sitting at the hospital with Bill again. Could use some cyber hugs and prayers we don't catch the flu while we're here!
Marilyn - a group of us got together, each made their own center block (about 15 1/2" x 24 1/2" unfinished), then sent it to one person on a list (we had 2 groups = 12 total).
Person 2 on the list sent their center and the one they finished to person 3, and so on. Person 6 on each list sent #1 their finished piece. And #1 sent #2 their finished piece, and so on and so one lol
It was a lot less complicated than it sounds.
When a person got their center back, 5 people had added a border they thought would look good with the original center and the other borders. Then, they finished off their own quilt any way they wished.
The thingamajig is a round cutter for material lol
(((Cookie and Bill )))))
hugs going out to the oens with fur babies in need
crissy the job sounds awesome ! and the people from Norhtern Ca awesome !!
Betty i got a prayer shawl from my friend Jane . i do love it . I do wrap myself up in the quilts and my prayer shawl when the need fits.

(((((((Joyce)))))) ((((((((((Bill)))))))))
No flu, please!! Lots of hugs and prayers going to you both!
You think they may still be making a decision?
Bob & I are going to Choir practice tonight - I'm a little....... distracted atm......
Sending good positive thoughts and HUGS for you both Cookie.
Hope you all have a sweet restful evening...
Bonsoir mes amis
Sending hugs and prayers Joyce. Hospitals are such necessary places but they aren't fun.....
Hope Bill isn't there long.....
He's finally in an exam room. They're getting him ready for an IV. Still hasn't seen a doctor yet. Hopefully we won't be here all night
Omg, girls just left, great sewing night, thought I'd check in on you all and Lordy find out Joycje is at the hospital with Bill...what to heck happened Joyce?? Sending you both prayers and hugs! Hoping he won't have to wait too long before he sees the doc.
Back in a bit
Morning all,
Joyce any update on Bill?
Sue, am sure after all you've been through he prayer shawl would give you comfort
Lordy, my world is falling apart, slept in till 6:45am..imagine half my day is gone 😝
Plumbing company is coming today to see where I can put the toilet and what I need to do prior to their starting..hope not major but likely is.
I want to be on the river walk with LindaKay in San Antonia today or how about in the south with Susan 101 and Thunder, there in spirit if nothing else..cold here, time to escape
Morning ..
I think I'll wait for 'updates' insofar as Bill goes, am thinking they were at the hospital for a fair amount of time .. and .. it is surely a necessity to go, but, NO fun being there ..
When I worked ER I used to try and separate people .. now a days .. well .. unless you have EBOLA, you just shlep right in with everyone .. AND, at least here, the ER examining rooms (with 4 b4ds) are co ed !!!!
GORGEOUS day, even in the dark, already 33F .. unheard of ..
DH is coughing still, but, the cough is less moist .. Smokey is doing WELL !!!
Quick trip to town, want to see if I can rent 'Still Alice' with Julianne Moore .. my sweet cousin Lesley is 58 and has 'pre Alzheimers ..
BBL
HUGS

Oh crud, think I'm on my way again. My Dr. needs me to come in, thinks it's pericarditis. I'm hoping not but the pain is bad kept me up all night. It's been going on for some time even before the heart attack, I've been writing it off as gas.
Morning everyone. Susan, i hope you hear news quickly about your job.
Joyce, so sorry to hear hubby was at the hospital. I pray he is home resting now.
Karen, sending prayers for you too.
Karen, glad you are going in, that's worrisome..hugs/prayers' will be checking for updates
That's awfully young "M" for Alzheimer's, dreaded illness..I sure would rather be on the other side vs dealing with it..guess you don't deal with it but families must
Karen, is your appt today?
Waiting for a call from my Drs. office. Just afraid she'll send me to the hospital for tests or something. Gotta know I'm pretty bad hurting if I put myself in the way for that.
drats Karen, maybe you shouldn't have waited so long knowing you just had surgery..as Judy would say 'shaking my finger' .. maybe you should go to emerge
Rita on her way, in order to continue with my project of the prayers shawl I needed a poem printed on fabric photo paper, she took it last night and is now bringing it over so I can work on it..in exchange (lol) I would get out what they need to do a couple of easy tree runners..catch them while they can as they are interested in making Christmas gifts, all gung ho
put one together, took 1 hr 20 minutes so even if they double the time because they say they are slow at sewing (which they are not) it's quick and we've a lot of Christmas fabric so I made one to show them the actual piece vs tutorial or instructions.
I made it long, could have been shorter, preference I guess
forgot to show you the floormats the girls were making Tuesday
Betty those are very nice.
Lots of hugs & prayers for those in hospital, contemplating going to hospital.
Betty those are beautiful - tree runners? What are they, pray tell?
I just got the call while typing this - I did not get the job.
I think she means table runners.
Sorry you didn't get the job Susan
The winter floormatts are done on linoleum
Good morning!
Wow, a ton going on here...
Lifting my prayers for all the sick kitties!
It so hard to watch our furries be so sick. especially when you raised them from little bitties.
Oh Sunshine, sure hope Bill is back home, Resting and healing.
Hope the Trip is good Linda kay.
Susan, sorry to hear about the job.
Crissy, Congrats to you.
Barbara, so smiling for you.
Dianne, OH my thanks about Sturgis, we are very excited. Now to find a a trailor! We had one, the size was off so sold it...lol, I just know i am going to end up on the back of the bike the whole way. we shall see.
We've been to sturgis a couple of times but just as passing through.
Well, I got to tell you, Wednesday night, about 10:30 P.M. I found myself in a real live dream!
I had just started dozing off, when Breenie pounced on me all Tigger style...Mom, wake up she says, Guess who is here? I said oh do I know them, she says yeah you do. Just as she was saying this when a young lady appears at my bedroom door and i hear excited conversation in the kitchen.
OH my, flung Breenie aside as my Neice Roxie is standing there smiling as she says Hi Aunti! Grabbed me in a huge armwrap and i got up.
Well, she was on the Rez for a short visit. Her Brother went to pick her up and they came together with my other nephew Chase! I got a three for 1 visit. How exciting. Chase still here.
#1-Hunter-18, Roxie-21, and Chase-18.
Hunter and Roxie are Bro & sis..Chase is my first grand nephew!
Man who owns a plumbing company came, looked over the situation, came up with a few ideas
I need to go into town later and buy a small zinc in a cabinet and taps, they will come Friday and install the pump up toilet..he says usually takes about 4 or 5 days once ordered to come in.
I'm exited, imagine getting excited over a toilet. Lol
Will wait until later Togo in so I can pick up Chinese food for tonight, treat myself
I'm smiling from ear to ear Judy, what a surprise..
Jut know you are beyond on a high
Oh my the lane is pure ice !! Bless the UPS driver, he braved the ice and came down before the sander arrived.
Judy I love trivia and here's a little known fact - many of the storefronts in Sturgis are only open during the motorcycle fest and closed the rest of the year. Guess profits are amazing! Do you have a lamb skin or gel seat you could sit on? I have a friend who had to get 1 so she could ride with her DH. She says it is heaven!
Karen, Joyce and Bob sending positive thoughts. Of course positive thoughts and prayers continue for M, Gord and Barb's David.
Well I called the vet's at 10 and was informed Streak had yet to void. The tech said they might maually get him to pee. I asked if they were going to put a catheter in and she said I guess so. I am steaming. Betcha you can see the steam coming out of my ears. Maybe I was spoiled having the vet who owned the clinic as a personal friend. She is not back to work and in a very dark place. I am very worried about her. I am to call back around 12;30.
Sorry Susan the job didn't pan out.
Chinese food sounds good Betty.
Dianne

I'll share my Chinese with you Dianne
Usually dinner for 1 if I purchase an extra egg roll does me 2 full meals..yippee no cooking lol
Now why on earth would they have left poor Smokey suffer with a full bladder and not think of a catheter earlier? sad to hear your friend/vet is in a dark place, some of those holes you just can't seem to climb out of.
melting here as well Dianne so once it gets colder tonight it will be icy and dicy
glad I bought melter, will spread along the pathway and staircase.
How exciting for you Judy. I know how much you delight in time shared with family. Chase looks so much like you...how long can they stay?
Karen, sending good thoughts and positive energy...listen to your doctor.
Joyce, hope you and Bill are back home, safe and sound.
Susan, sorry about the job. Don't let it bring you down...you've lots of irons in the fire...positive energy for the new day.
LK, hope the MRI brings good news. Glad you can hug the grands and maybe get a little shopping time at Joanne's.
M, great news about Smoky...hugs for you and your cousin.
thing is, I Don't have any other "irons in the fire".....
Judy - how exciting - what a surprise!
Karen - what Jean said.......... mind you, I know you're listening a lot to your Dr - you've had that recent scare......
Joyce - Positive thoughts for you & Bill - any idea on when he'll be home?
poor Streak - he must be feeling awfully uncomfortable. When my cat had problems like this, he had stone blockage.....
Had hoped to see an update from Joyce
drats, uneasy when no word
Jean, how have you been feeling, terrible for me not asking already
Thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers. They finally admitted him about 2 this morning. I was surely glad to get out of that waiting room with all those germs!! Good news is, there was no blood clots. They admitted him for observation and further testing. Last night he had an x-Ray, and a CT scan. Today he's had a chemical stress test and he just finished with an echocardiogram. The cardiologist came by and said so far the tests look normal. He hadn't had the echo yet at that point. The Dr. says he thinks the problem is Bill's atrial fib. (Runaway uncontrolled a fib) So he's probably going to let him go home today. He says they'll want to see him in the office and they'll try to correct his problem with meds. So....YAY!
M, glad to hear Smokey is doing better. This is a fairly new hospital and all of the ER exam rooms are singles. Well, as far as that goes, all the patient rooms are private as well.
Dianne, I'm sorry Streak is feeling so bad. Hopefully once they help him pee then that will start the flow and he'll feel better.
Judy! Glad your family stopped to see you! Where's your teeth Lil Injunction?? 😋
LK, I have your city on my weather watch on my iPad now. Are you really as close to the Mexican border as it looks? How's the scrapple holding up?
Oh pooh, Susan. That's a bummer. I'm praying something shows up for you. Are you physically able to clean people's houses or babysit? Or pet sit or walk? Just throwing out some ideas.
Betty I love that mat!! Were the snowflakes a stamp and the trees freehand? Just thought it was so beautiful! I'd want to frame it instead of walking on it!
This message was edited Jan 23, 2015 2:41 PM
So glad Joyce that so far it's good news for Bill
You must be exhausted
You'll feel better when he is home
Floormat snowflakes were stencils, they sketched a triangle and painted trees free hand within that square so they didn't get carried away
Time togototown, before going to the lumber yard thing I'll drop in to measure an ironing board
Susan, sorry about the job not working out. Lose yourself in weaving and quilting.
Have a headache to go with my toothache. I'm not a happy camper.
Back later.
hugs, katie
We're both pretty tired. I didn't get to sleep until after 3:30. He got less than I did. So the bed will feel really good tonight!!
Tragic death in my family .. may be off more than on :-(
~M~
PS .. it's a cousins son ..
You won't venture out to the hospital will you tonight? With both needing rest best not to
Off to town, going to be quick
"condolences "M"
So much tragedy, hard getting through days sometimes
Sending prayers for all of you
Remember we are here to listen, hold your hand and pray
Hugs
Oh M I am so sorry to read your news. Sending even more hugs, positive thoughts and hugs your way.
Waiting for the vet's office to call me back. It look like Streak won't be home tonight. Sigh! The blood draw they took was fine.
Dianne
Marilyn - so sorry to hear about yours and your cousin's loss
Dianne - glad the blood draw was fine - As I said before, cats will go 24 hours or more, without pee'ing if they're stressed or not in a litter pan they recognize - why not bring Streak's litter pan to the vet's and see how he reacts? It's worth a try...
Joyce - with my bum knee (osteoA), cleaning is not something that comes easy for it if it requires bending (and it always does). I used to do house & office cleaning, but no more. I'm just as young as I used to be.
I thought about that Susan but since 1 of the reasons he is there is because he had abandoned using the litter box at all it doesn't make much sense. They did move him to a much larger crate today which will make him happier I am sure. Still waiting for the vet tech to call me back.
