Rm 301 "Sweet Interruptions" Hotel

oh crissy sorry got it all mixed up. Yes sometimes its best to just stay out of it.
Legally i don't know if GF has any legal rights if his health needed a care taker ect ??? or any other life making decsions ? guess it depeneds on state by state . i would check just to be sure. This is never a pretty thing when it comes to choices of our loved ones health. Everyone has a differant opinion. Of coure you do have other issues that need to be taken care of.
Hope you can get them all settled soon. Hope the job comes soon for you !
not much going on here
trying to sell some things on Craiglist... i never have any luck but i thought i would give it a go.
trying to sell my wedding dress... LOL good luck ! but you never know.
have a pretty nasty headache coming on
still need to take Austin to basketball but may not make it if head doesn't stop hurting

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Sue, be VERY CAREFUL with craig's list lots of scammers.....My has her car on there and got an inquire about it. She decided to look up the person/business and found out it's a scam, and it had been reported several times!

Yes i m not a big fan of CL. I meet people in public places. I just don't want to do shipping and deal with that part of this. Ebay i would have better luck but i don't want to hassle with shipping.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I don't do anything on Craigslist anymore, they don't care about their good customers, it's just a free for all. Here in Northwest Arkansas we have a page on Facebook called "NW AR Garage Sale", it's a closed group and they only allow people in NW AR in, and you have to know someone who is already in the group. I just got my computer desk free from a gal on there, it's a very doable desk too. All I did is post "I need this, let me know where I can pick it up." and she IM'ed me. There are others too, Benton County Yard Sale, Washington County Collectibles, and a few more. I'm always surfing for stuff lol

Beings that dad's girlfriend is still married to someone else, I doubt she has access to any of it. MO doesn't recognize common law marriage anyway.

I have heard of those groups on FB. I just never remember them LOL . maybe i will look on FB for a group like that ?
not a CL fan either.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Ebay would be great if you didn't have to ship that sewing machine, there's no way I would try that. Joel's friends wife told me about it and I got on, have nothing to sell but I sure have fun looking at the stuff, some good, some bad, some inexpensive, some way too expensive, just like a garage sale and you don't have to go out at 6am to hit them all before all the good stuff is gone!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Sending ALL Prayers ,Love and Hugs ~ Will have to go back and Read...and Read ...and Read ....LOL !

Popping in for a second ..........Jaye wanted me to let you all know that her modem went haywire ,so she won't be on here for a little while and her phone has sooooooooo much static that she can't talk on it .So calling her is fruitless for us all :( !!!!!!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I've had good luck with Craig's List and with the local Facebook connected online yard sales.
I listed our rabbits on CL and sold to a very nice family.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Jaye is having a lot of problems, hope most of them resolved soon.

Got a pamphlet and instructions from the cath lab in Los Angeles. They said if I don't hear from them this week to set up appointment I should call them. Seems like it is an all day thing. I don't mind for myself, but I hate to have my son sit around all day. Will pack him a nice lunch, maybe that will help. LOL I woke up with chest pain last night and it scared me enough that I took a nitro pill. Really worked wonders. I have a large hiatal hernia and I hope nothing goes wrong with that. Just added that darn birthday and all he** breaks loose.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Ernie - I already have a quilting frame... basically just a pair of sawhorses, with the two beams I roll my quilt on. each "beam" is 6ft long and 4" square. I've sewn some fabric to the beams, and there are some cogs and brakes to roll it. I just move the sawhorses as far apart as I want, and the quilt is stitched on both ends. It's a very basic setup that I don't bring out much.
Mostly, I quilt in a large lap frame (round, like an embroidery hoop).

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks for letting us know about Jaye Synda.

Sue, you can sell on ebay, just make sure you state it is for local pickup only.

Susan do you use yarn for weaving on that loom?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Pegi, please be careful, until you have your test done. I am glad you have your nitro pills to take when needed.

Good Morning Friends!

Worked outside yesterday, burning up old pile of twigs and leaves that had been sitting for years. Put a shout out on FB that I needed help trimming up an oak tree. Thank GOD for my brother's close friends considering mom and I as family. They are coming to take care of the big oak. Mom wants to cut it all the way down, but I don't. I want to build a tree house in it :) Wonder if I could win the contest on Treehouse Masters, hmmmmm lol it has been real foggy here, and there have been some real bad accidents due to the fog. Some people just don't know how to slow down in bad weather jeez

My Friend Ray just keeps getting better and better, here is the latest onhim from my friend Barb,

I got to the hospital today to see Ray, and when I rounded the corner, I got the surprise of my life! Coming down the hall WALKING with a walker and the nurse by his side with a BIG SMILE on his face when he saw me, was Ray! I smiled and got tears in my eyes...he said to the nurse, see, I told you she would be proud of me! I AM Proud of him!! They told me he walked all around the hall 3 times today, and they said they had to tell him a couple times to slow down...LOL...the nurse said he even was dancing at one point! They still tie him to the chair and to the bed because he tries to get up by himself and they don't want that. He, at times, is still confused and forgetful and you have to repeat things...he gets very agitated and you have to talk him through it to calm him down, his motor skills with his hands are still off a little, meaning, he drops things a lot which makes him very agitated. He still says he will be going home tomorrow, so you have to just remind him that he has to get stronger. He calls himself stupid when he cannot remember a name or event so remind him that he will remember, it will all come back to him, and remind him what happened to him and that he is a miracle...that calms him down..I will be back up to see him tomorrow morning...I have a doc apt in the afternoon so if anyone can go up in the evening, that would be great!!
.

Pictures of the Big Oak, If I could have a treehouse in it, I might be able to see all the way to Marysville, lol

I'm not too happy with Doug at the moment. He has let his step-sister move in also, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr She has two little dogs that pee on pads instead of going outside. the other day when I had to go down for the "walk-thru" one of her dogs peed in my bedroom!!!! Plus all 3 of them smoke in the house, and I hate cig smoke!!!! Doug is in violation of our rent agreement by letting all this happen. Even though the house is up for sale the people who are trying to buy it can tell property management to evict him because of this. if it turns out that we can buy the house I am going to set some RULES!!!!

Hope everyone has a Good Day!!!!

Wow Cindy that is great about Ray!! I'm willing to bet that he makes a full recovery! That would be frustrating, does he remember having the heart attack at all? That's a huge tree, Oak Trees are so awesome, thankfully we have them here so I don't have to go on missing them! I'd hate to cut it down just because it's so old. Just as long as it wouldn't hurt anything if it fell over I wouldn't worry too much about it. The problem is, is you don't know if it's rotting inside the trunk, if that trunk is hollow in the middle it will snap in a strong wind.

Karen I wouldn't take that lightly if I were you. If your doc doesn't want to do anything, go get a second opinion. I do know that gas can feel like a heart attack, heartburn is one of the worst pains we can have, it rates up there with tooth aches.

SOOOO I had my phone interview with JB Hunt and I NAILED IT!!!! They want to see me in person on Wednesday at 10am!!!!!

They said the job starts low pay, at 23 or 25k a year, but I would be put in training for a year and every three months if I pass the test I will get a raise, at the end of the year I would be making almost 30k. At that point I can choose to stay where I'm at or promote to another position, if one I like is open, and that would start another year long training process where I would get raises every 3 months. I could keep doing this until I found the position I want to stay at. At that point I would just quit asking for promotions and would get annual raises.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Doug is such an idiot, Cindy! That's all I can say about him.......... and I hope you Do get to buy the house lol he'd have to learn some RULES lol

yaaaaaaaaaaay, Crissy!! Keeping all things crossed for you that this is THE job!

with my loom, you can use either wool, or thread (can make yard goods, seeing as how it's 45" wide working surface - I see Quilt Backing lol)

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

I'm pretty sure you don't mean Ray, Susan! I'm happy for Ray and how far he has come! The power of prayer!!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I meant Doug....... Cindy's got an idiot on her hands....!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Ah lol Susan.......Ray is my friend recovering from a massive heart attack......but I know you are talking about Doug ^_^

Well my brother's friend was just here and it looks as if they can't help us out. The tree is too big and they are not professional. The tree is good and solid, it hardly moves when the wind blows. My mom is just a worry wart and it gets worse as she gets older, OMG!!! she drive me nuts sometimes. My brother and I have both told her she needs to NOT worry about things let us take care of them, easier said than done :(

Good Luck, Crissy hope you get the job!!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LOL!!! Yes I do have an IDIOT on my hands!!! One good thing about all this......I have a home here, with mom. If it turns out that we can't buy and end up renting from new owners, I am NOT putting my name on the lease agreement, I will NOT be held responsible for anything!!!! But I may have to pack up the rest of my stuff (mostly kitchen) which mean they will be without a lot of good stuff, lol so we will see what happens. I feel so sorry for Amy, she is not getting any exercise, and is being subjected to all that 2nd hand smoke. If i could have her here I would because Doug is not taking good care of her. She has a bum leg and he needs to take her to the vet. i set up every thing for him to do that weeks ago and he still has not done it!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Crissy, wishing you the best of luck on your interview.

Cindy that is awesome news about Ray. Tell him to keep up the good work. But as far as Doug is concerned, i would sternly remind him that it is still your home and you don't appreciate what he is doing.

Cindy awesome news about Ray !!! there is something to be said for piss and vinager in your veins LOL . He sounds like an awesome person ! . So happy for him and all you guys that are a part of his life.
sorry about Doug being a poop. Not easy . Smoke is awful in a house and makes it yellow and yuukky.
crissy !!!! way to go girlfriend !!! all right. So happy you got an interview with JD HUnt. wooohooo
well Savannah is mad at me. She wanted to practice her volleyball.... i think i donated her ball........ good lord 6 months and she decides to practice her volleyball today ! ? stupid ball got in my way and i tripped over it. smashed the stupid ball and threw it away , then donated it. LOL

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

lol if she really wants a volleyball, a new one can be gotten, BUT she needs to put it somewhere you won't trip over it..... how's her closet? lol maybe like most teens....... stuffed to the brim hahahaha

big blow out with the kids .uhg....
the last few weeks they have been such brats ! and Savannah is just an attitude and beyond. Nothing i did worked.
asked them for help with some chores. OMG.... ! attitude from both of them.
Mom lost it and i blew a fuse, said things i shouldn't have but honestly i hope they realize what they did ? !
im just so angry at them right now grrrrrr.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Calm down and have some wine, Sue...it's only getting worse from here. Don't you remember?
😝

* banging head on wall *

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sue how old are the kids now? It is a stage they are going through, and you have to remain firm in what ever decisions you are making.

I can just see you banging you head against the wall LOL!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Don't leave dents in the wall! (you KNOW who'll have to fix 'em, right?)

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

When my daughter turned 12, I had so many problems with her ugh!!! came home from bowling one night to find my apt trashed from her having friends over. She was not home at the time but showed up a little later, with two friends. I came unglued!!!!! I yelled at her friends to get the h#!! out and didn't want there anywhere near my apt again. Then I started on my daughter, if it hadn't of been for Francis (my late hubby) I think I would of beat the living tar out of my daughter. After that I had no problems with her ^_^, and today I am very proud of the young woman she is today!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Remember Sue, to be a Mom first, and a friend 2nd!

Cindy, you did the right thing.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Good Morning!!!!

I have a phone interview at 10 this morning and I don't remember who it was with... hhmmmmmmm. Guess it doesn't matter, they're calling me. I think that's the only interview I have today, I need to go to Unemployment and take an Excel test, been putting it off for a week now and I really need to be keeping the friendship going there with all this drama.

Oh I have some assessment tests to take! Catch y'all later!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!

Crissy, good luck with all you have to do today!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Wishing all a good day. I do believe I feel better today. Going to get ready and go do some walk about at the mall, just feel it's what I need, to move a bit.

DGSs wife (they live with us) is making me sooooo crazy. She is the laziest person I have ever seen. That girl doesn't walk she ambles. Just got reprimanded at work for the third time for being too slow and depending too much on others for help. Doesn't understand why, says none of her co-workers said anything to her. I keep telling her it's not their job to tell her, they are asked by supervisors and tell the truth. Same here at the house, practically trip over something and claim to not see it to pick it up. Basically all she does here is set the table and on rare occasions will do dishes. Sits with her daughter and is constantly playing on her phone. Amelia acts up because she wants her mom to notice her. I tell her this and she will set her phone down but very soon picks it back up. Then hands Amelia an Ipad to play with so she will not bother her again.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I would tell everyone, there is a certain time slot to play on phones, and make them stick to it. When she is home, I would have a chore list for everyone to do, and make them do it, no phone time till chores are done!

karen sorry to hear she is so lazy. Not always easy when adults live with you and are lazy.
I think the storm is over and my point was made.
No lumps or holes in wall.
Not much on here
my alarm didn't go off this morning. Kids and i woke up at 645 am ! and we leave for school at
7am ! holy crap . we hustled and they did great . Made it to school by 720. wouldn't have been a real problem but we pick up two other kids in a carpool. so we had to hustle .
then went to Dr. did the old annual shmear.

i agree with LK. no reason why she should pass time on her butt

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Yes Karen, what LK says!! I don't care if they're adults, if they act like children they get treated like children, it's your house. That's borderline child neglect, she's in love with her phone more than her daughter. How does your GS handle this, or is he blind to it?

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Why doesn't she work?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Good morning, everyone
Karen - I amble, but then I'm an older adult, and a hurtin' unit. She's a healthy person about half my age, with responsibilities and a child to look after! Even back in the 50's TV wasn't supposed to be a babysitter - now it's i-pads..... no, no, no - parents are supposed to be parents - full stop, end of story!
and she needs to be respectful of you by helping around the house you have graciously allowed her to live in - she's not paying rent, right? This is "rent in lieu" by working out her rent.....
My version of "Tough Love" lol

Crissy - good luck on the interview!!

Today I really am a hurting' unit. I couldn't do anymore than 2 games of bowling - the 3rd one I sat out. I actually pulled a muscle in my left thigh on my first ball thrown on the 1st game. Mind you, I got a strike, but geeze! Between 3pm and 8pm I'd taken 2 Tylenol 3's and 2 codeine, and they didn't touch the pain except for about 10 min.....
Tomorrow my friend is taking me out for Chinese lunch, to thank me for helping them with their wifi issue........
