Totally agree with you Linda..Let him do his own cooking too, or let his floozy cook for him. That'll straighten him out.

Tube steak, love that one!! Well, I better get the procedure done as soon as LA calls, don't know how long I will have to wait. I do feel pretty good. I know what damage a heart attack can do. A friend in Iowa had a heart attack and by the time he was well enough he only had 20% of his heart working. He even went deer hunting, how scary. But, he is so nasty and mean to his wife as though it is her fault. Not too many people want to be around him. He is doing so well considering how bad a shape his heart is in.
It looks like a gloomy day and I think we got a few sprinkles of rain. I think it is time for the crock pot potato soup, recipe found on face book. It is so good. Prayers being said for all.
Still darned cold here but sunshine makes it look pretty out there. And it can stay out there.
Job interview went I think. I'm one of 6 candidates, and they said my qualifications are good.
Decision date is Jan 22nd, with start date of Jan 27th (for training) and beginning of Feb for start date without a trainer by the side......
When I hear, you'll hear :-)
Received some very bad news......my friend is not going to make it
Oh Cindy so sorry to hear that. Hugs to you.
Sending gentle hugs Cindy. I'm so sorry....
So sorry Cindy. Sending prayers.
Thank You they will be taking him off of life support tomorrow. He went to long without oxygen after he had the heart attack, not sure what all else but I think his heart was pretty well damaged. He had a bad heart to start with on top of prostrate cancer, his health was not good. He will be missed big time. He was one of my poker playing buddies on FB always sending me $100,000, he had 1 billion lol This is him with his beautiful Street Glide~~~~~~~~~~
oh Cindy - I am so sorry to hear of your loss......... much too young
Interview went very well - 2 ladies
I'm one of 6 candidates, decision will be made on Jan 22nd, start date is Jan 27th for training, and first day after training is beginning of February.
They may have a 2nd interview - said it's going to be a tough selection.
I'll be seeing them tomorrow, because we're going to their church, and are both in the choir lol
I'm sorry about your friend Cindy, he really had a lot of medical problems on his plate. Prayers for all concerned.
Maybe I shouldn't read about all this heart stuff as it is starting to scare me. I've been having some severe heartburn and found that could be some of my problems too. Symptoms are different in men than women which was a surprise to me. Hope I'll hear from the L.A. hospital soon. When I hear I'll let you know. Watched a video of a young mother having a heart attack, talk about stress holding down a job and having two small children. I often wondered how a mom could handle outside work and a family too. I hope I can get back to doing some of the things I enjoyed.
Pegi do not be afraid. I know a man and I asked him about you and he said she will be fine . He said she will be healthy again and will enjoy doing things that make her happy...
Jaye good to see you making an appearance. Deep crud coughing is the worst. I have actually torn mussels in my back ffrom coughing. I use a nebulizer machine it really helps me breath and breaks up the gunk in my chest.
Susan I so wish you success in your quest to become employed. Hard to believe its been 7 years since I worked for a salary.I don't miss going to work, I have bird houses to build for my yard lol.
Cindy it's so hard to lose a friend to soon. I wish for you peace in your heart and enough deep sleep to keep you well rested.
Karen keep the cold there please. It is cold here at times but it has been a long time since we have had real fridgid conditions for an extended period of time. Mostly just rain rain and more rain.
I hope I get the job too - it likely hinges on what my previous Pastor says - he used to be a member of their church, until he got the job where I've been a member for 9 years. He & I "had some words" and I haven't attended since Sept. He said he'd give me a great reference, but they (at the interview) asked me how I deal with conflict and a difficult person......... whooooo boy - now There's a good one - yikes!!!
Here in Texas, a previous boss is not allowed to say anything negative about you. They will pay a heavy fine if you they do.
I'm keeping calm and breathing. Looking forward to doing things that make me happy again. Thanks for the pep talk eweed and Sue.
It is still raining, bu at a slow pace and hope it doesn't cause more mud slides for some. Today is a good day to look and see why my electric blanket isn't working. Been putting that off for a while, If the temps stay low I may need to warm up the sheets. Have to call my sister in Minnesota too, have been putting that off and of course I always need to charge my phone.
Keep warm everyone, glad I'm not in all that snow.
Employee bashing is not allowed in Wa state either. Back in the 70's corporate instructions were. Yes Mr Smith was an employee Of Alaska Packers Shipyard plant 862.Employed as a welder from 5 1 72 to 6 5 74. As an employer when you saw a reference return like this free of glowing superlatives you knew the applicant was not a good employee. So it was really an under ground reference system. We chose to not bother asking for a reference at all. We just trusted our own interviewing skills.
Ugly rain again today. I am off to my shop to work on bird houses.
Pretty much our rules too. All we could do is verify person worked for us. Yeah pretty well understood it was no reference at all really.
Praise the Lord!!!!! Thank YOU Friends for YOUR Prayers!!!! The doctor spent ah hour with Ray, he squeezed the doctor's and and wiggled his toes on demand. And when our friend Barb told him to open his eyes he did!!! Thank YOU GOD!!!!! I will be back with more as soon as I find out
Oh Cindy that is wonderful news !!!!!! ( jumping up and down for you and him). Miracle miracle .
Susan lets hope the preacher doesn't give you any nasty reviews. It is illegal for him to do that but to prove it is another :( sad but true. Lets hope he does the right thing .
not much going on today, just basketball. We are home. Freezing rain and snow on the way. LEts hope the kids go to school. !!! otherwise we have to do Blizzard bags uuuhg.
Unfortunately preacher can say volumes with what he doesn't say, if he so chooses.
Praise the Lord, Cindy!!!!!!
That's so true, Karen - they know that I was with that church as a member for 9 years, and Gary was my pastor - if they ask why I'm no longer there, I have no idea how he's going to respond. If they ask about conflict resolution - that's a hot spot. They did ask how I deal with difficult people, and I'm not sure they're happy with my answer - oooooops lol
Well, Good Lord Willing......... I'll get the job and can prove my worth.......
Cindy that is awesome news. Will pray for continued recovery for him!
Sue, sounds like your weather is pretty bad, stay inside, and be careful if you have to go out.
Ernie, show us your birdhouses when you can please?
I am sadden by the news we received this evening....I copied and pasted post from our friend Barb,
Ray did respond to a few commands this morning. There is a lot of confusion as to what this means. Yes, we are all hopeful at this news, YES, we are Praying for a miracle, but the doctors are telling us that his quality of life, at best, would be on a respirator the rest of his life and in a nursing home as there is only 10% of heart function and major brain damage. Barb will be with him again tomorrow and they will make final decision on what's best for Ray. He did not want to be kept alive on machines.
Sorry to her that Cindy. If it is his wish, I pray the family makes the right decision! Sending prayers to all!
I need to ask you all for prayers for my Daughter in law. She has been really sick since early last year. Last Sept. after many ER visit's, they finally figured out that she needed an emergency surgery for her gall bladder. During the surgery, they noticed a mass in her right ovary, and they said it was nothing. A lot of women get them, and it ill go away. Well, It has not gone away, and it is getting bigger, and she just found out it is ovarian cancer. No telling how long she has had it, but with this Obama care, she is still waiting on a plan for treatment. Seems no one cares about her having cancer, they just don't want to treat her because she is on Obama care.
LK sending her prayers. I m so sorry to hear of this news.
Cindy. I m so sorry about Ray. Yes this is not a life he would want. My heart goes out to you and Rays family. Sending prayers
not much here. ice and a wintery mix. :( no school. i had so many things to do today because i couldn't do them last week. I need to pay my house payment ! .... i actually have to go inside the bank with my little book and write a check and the stamp it.... like we did back in 1975 ! this bank is very old school. I didn't remember i could actually mail my book in either .. duh. ? ! so i m told. Guess i will mail it out ? or brave the roads. LOL
Sue,be careful if you have to go out please?
Cindy - as heartbreaking as this is for the family, they will do as he wishes of course. We shall all pray for that miracle - he's better, yes? The Good Lord will look after him - if Ray is a strong person, as he seems to be, he just may beat this. If not, the Lord will take him home. where he will be perfect. Lots of love & prayers for Ray & the family.
LK - prayers for your Daughter in law - Obama care doesn't sound great - This really makes me madder than mad - they should have tested the mass while they were already operating on her..... this is a human life, and the person saying "women get these all the time" doesn't wash with me - is there a case for suing the hospital for pain and lessened chance of getting it all now? It's grown in all this time, most of a year. Just saying......
LKsorry about DIL praying for a good outcome. I will have my bible study group ask for a cure for her what is her first name if you want or give me a nick name please. The 3 floored one is gone but I will get some pics of the current ones.
JAYE CHECK IN PLEASE. OOPS
Cindy the kindest thing you can do for a person in this condition is let them go. I know I have signed papers with the local hospital directing them to not be heroes . I just can't see a real good time living in a nh with a machine. Prayers
Thanks Ernie, her name is Heather.
Sue, I wish I had better words for Obama care, but I don't. When one gets sick, they have to start with the primary care Dr. Once it is determined what might be wrong with you, you have to be referred to that specialist. That can take months to get into. Then the specialist will order what ever test that needs to be done, and that can take a few more months. Then they try to give you more pills to fix the problem, knowing that surgery needs to be done. No one is in a hurry, unless it is a life or death situation.
Good Morning Friends,
After I made the above post last night I had found out that Ray had actually "died" right after having the heart attack and had been resuscitated. If he would of had a DNR on file he would be riding with the Angels now :( My friend Barb feels that she has failed him by not following his wishes, but her health is not well and she could not be at the hospital at the time it happened and also not being family her hands were tied. But she met with Ray's brother and had told him that she had made a promise to Ray to not keep him alive on machines. At the hospital yesterday every time she would try to leave his side he would open his eyes and one time he grabbed to her arm as if to say "Don't leave me like this" :( I'm thinking and hoping today they will let him go, so he can be with his beloved French bulldog Riding Rowdy
Oh man LK, I sure hope Heather is able to get treatment soon.............I have NOTHING nice to say about Obummer!!! or anything he has done for our country! I can't even stand to look at the jerk!
Pegi, hope things are going better for YOU, please take care.........And YOU too Jayegirl!!!
This year is not starting out good for a lot of people. Pray that the decision to let Ray go will be soon. I feel like Cindy does about Obamacare. It is costing the people so much per month and you just don't get decent care. Pray that Heather gets medical help soon, she is so young and 2 small children to raise. Don't know when I will hear from hospital, everyone is asking if I heard anything yet. As soon as I hear everyone will know. It could be a 2 week wait.
I think winter has finally come. Cold and rainy, not complaining about the rain because it is needed.
Jaye, pop in even if it is to say "hi".
Prayers going out for ALL plus Ray and Heather now.
I returned to church yesterday after a week's absence, and it feels good to be in God's house.
Yes, I carried all my sisters and brother in prayers. Thanking God too for your beautiful hearts.
Indeed LizH, I love the pillow, and I will use it on my truck seat. My back needs extra support and the old seat's cushion has worn out.
I forgot to mention that Holly's DH, Richard, took out his serger, and sewed the stuffing back up!! A man that can sew!
Pegi, you'll be alright. You're under a lot of stress, and apparently not playing enough games online to take your mind off things. Jokes aside, I am glad you are still here.
Tube steaks! That's a good one LK!!
I've been weak lately and yes the coughs too took some of my energy, Ernie. The sides hurt, and I know I have pulled a muscle somewhere there.
Nothing has changed here, he's applying for postal jobs in W. Va., he thinks I don't know, but somehow God always reveal.
This time, I didn't tell his mum what I found out, for I let the Lord deal with it.
A sister tolld me that I am not alone, and she's right. You are with me through this new journey fortifying me with prayers and even though Jesus is with me, it gladdens me to admit that I am loved by you all.
Jaye, if you have the crud, you need to go to the Dr. and get some good cough syrup please? Nice to see you posting.
Julie has the interest thread for a rose swap open.

LK - that Obama care doesn't sound great, is all I can say for it.......
(signed Susan, not Sue lol)
I've been having "fun" pulling pieces of the floor loom I was given, out from under my bed, to set it up... yikes there's a lot of pieces!
http://www.woolery.com/store/pc/Leclerc-Nilus-II-36-45-60-4-8-Harness-Jack-Low-Castle-p6999.htm#.VLRGnR59BxI
Here's a picture of it - lots of wood, lots of wire, and lots to learn about it before I can even begin to start doing projects......
BUT, I have other stuff to do in the meantime, and won't let it tear me away from stuff that NEEDS to be done. This is just "setup" stuff
I don't mean to make a problem for this Obama Care converstation. but I have had friends and family with diseases and cancer's of various sorts. It was the same with their insurance. You see your primary , then a specialist. Yes it can take months. But i believe this is common not just Obama Care. Just my opinion.
Good to hear your comferted with the house of God Jaye. You sound better this week.
Lk sending prayers to you and DIL. hope it turns out for the better.
Cindy so sorry to hear about Ray.
kids had another snow day , we did blizzard packs. So they have to do school work at home.
cleaned house
i did make it outside and it felt good to get out ! wow. Paid our house and get a discount on our internet provider. signed a contract. Didn't know i was out of contract. paying 91.00 month ! I pay 60.00 month with a new contract.
It's hard to know what system is right. I was instructed to see my primary today for a follow-up to hosp. release. I was given a sheet of paper with the time I arrived and then the time I was finished with the receptionist. I was to carry it with me. The PA also filled out when she started and finished with me and my Dr. did the same. Drs. offices are now corporations. and it seems in this office there was too much time being spent on patients.
Visit was basically a waste of time. How are you feeling? Fine. Any problems? Not really HoW is the site where the Cath was inserted? Fine. Do you think I need to look at it. No.
Tried to ask about message she had sent about my kidneys. We'll have a new blood draw in March and discuss then if needed. And I was on my way. Paid my deductible and left.
I know in Canada care is covered. but I also know a good friend died because he need surgery for cancer. His Dr. had to request O.R. time. Because his surgery was quite involved and would take quite a while, The Dr. was told it could not be scheduled for several months. The cancer grew and spread. He died waiting.
Your correct Sue, I have insurance through the base I worked at, and it is not as bad, but getting there quickly.
Sorry about your friend in Canada Karen!
re: my new-to-me Loom
Spoke to my friend (Marlene) who gave it to me, and the Weaving Guild that she belonged to called her about it, and she told them that she gave it to a friend. They told her to have me call them. I told her that I couldn't afford to join the guild (no job......) and she said to call them, and explain my situation - they may be able to help somehow. So, I put a call in to them today - they were closed, so should hear from them another day.
I've gotten all the pieces for the loom in my dining area (took down the dining room table and put it away) and it should fit comfortably in that space. I will post pics of it as I get it partly assembled.
For my first project - I'd like to do a shawl......... that may be too ambitious, but we shall see - it's basically a long scarf, with fringes - those are added by knotting them on so that's an easy part lol
I saw instructions that said putting the loom together could be done with 2 people, but recommend 3 people.
Just back from bowling - my bowling was AWFUL lol
New lanes (they moved, and of course the new lanes are slippery, so I fell twice), favoured my injured left knee, and I haven't been bowling for about 3 years.....
3 games - 88, 92, 96, and me with a usual average of 172 LOL Oh well, I was getting better each game.......
