Wanted to say happy boxing day.
First time my Christmas cactus actually blooming at Christmas time !!

Getting packed to go downstate for our family Christmas.

The Christmas Cactus I have was my great grandmothers, my grandmother gave it to me in the 70's It's huge and we have started many new plants off of it.

Just going to get everything out ogpf the car, do some phoning then back to chat

Can't believe it's just after 10am
Seems like forever..didn't't take long to spend Tons of $$$

With Jeff/Greg's Christmas money bought
iPad air and case and a new flat screen tv for bedroom, that I hadn't planned on but hey, had $$$ left from their gifts

With michaels gift card from Caleb and braedon, bought two nice organizers for craft room

With $$$ I didn't spend going to Florida bought myself a new living room outfit..now to get the basement set out, livingoom set downstairs by Tuesday..would have been nice to get it done before then so I could paint


It was one of those days you walk in the store and there sits what you want

No wonder I'm tired out

Laundry is done, AND, put away here .. ran the dishwasher .. was GOING to clean the oven, but Lorna said it would be too smelly .. gotta be done one of these days ..

Probably play cards in a bit .. for ONCE I am beating Lorna !!! Her Dad is happy about that LoL
Kinda have an ouchy baby toe, Lorna inadvertently ran over it with her wheelchair, no ones fault .. toe was in the wrong place at the wrong time is all, I will live :-)

A cute we mousie has informed me that someone on this thread is going to be a year older come Sunday ..... I wonder who (not me) :-)

Best get my playin cards mindset in gear ...

Boxing day.......... relaxing - Bob wants to take a run out to High River - he's to do some cleaning at a company there, and not sure where to go (on Monday). Likely there won't be much traffic today?!?!?!

Usually in other apps if you try too many times it asks if you want an email to let you know what it is but not for this

Oh Betty! Yay for you!! So glad you had a good day.

Sherry and I went shopping at a big clearance area at one of our better stores. I spent $47. I got 5 pairs of jeans/pants and 5 shirts. Sherry spent $75 and the cashier told her she had saved $391 on the things she bought! What a fun day. We even left our carts, went and had lunch and came back to shop some more. We left the house at 10:30 and didn't get back until 5:00 and we only shopped that one store. Crazy!

Praying for Katie. Hope she's okay.

hope everyone got a good nights rest and will sleep in till noon, well 9am at least

mild again today, waiting for daylight so I can bring the last 4 totes to the back shed..did some dusting and now ready for breakfast then will take the t.v. out of the box and connect it..ooops forgot I have two organizing trays to get out of the car..guess I'll be kept out of mischief this morning.

Greg's going to Toronto to meet up with Jeff for a hockey game, I should shorten Jeff's pants and send them with Greg.

Downstairs now looks like upstairs lol

my helpers, still amazed they will not take $$$..I'll make sure something special goes their way

Getting chillier here .. instead of wakening to temps in the low 30s, they are in the low 20s and, apparently are going to continue to slide ..

I did get a good nights sleep and didn't wake until 8:30, so close.
We stopped on the way down and visited with two aunts. One, my favorite, fixed us dinner. The other my heart is aching for. Her oldest son is dying. She's his caretaker. I've never seen any one alive who looked so awful as he and only 50. He's spent most of his life as an alcoholic and nearly everything in his body has shut down, his Dr. recommended hospice care as there is nothing medical care can do for him. Such a waste of a life. I ache for his children.

I too was hoping we would have heard from Katie by now. It's one of my worries on this site, something can happen to one of us and in my case no one would know to let our friends know.

I have made sure that Norm knows how to get on here. You all have become as close as real family to me and I like knowing Norm could let you know. NOT that I'm expecting anything for a good long time mind you!!!!!

Your downstairs looks awesome Betty. I so remember this set and how comfy it was to sit on.

Sending prayers for all in need. Hoping to get the Christmas stuff put away today. So much work for such a little amount of time but I wouldn't change it for the world....

It is Susan, but I feel for his mom and children. He said many many times he had no intention of not drinking.

There may have been longer delays at the border because of the holidays, and also a lot going on at the San Diego crossings.

was sluggish once I got up but did manage to put the two metal grid units Braedon and Caleb's gift card managed to buy me.

off to look and see if I've two no sew blankets even if colorful and bring them over to the next door neighbor..went to let Riley out and the couch set was gone from the back yard...

I'm home - a few days late but safe and sound. Good story which I will fill in later. Must snuggle with furbabies and rest. Know that all is well here.

" dad will never be a real dad will he " ? . ....broke my heart. Didn't want this conversaton this early but boy she is sharp ! ...... she realizes that Tim will never be available to us. He will always work and be away from his family.
So i explained it all. I explained his Intimacy disorder, his work addiction . Hugged her bunches with lots of kisses and wiped away tears.

Can't believe how mild it is out there, I didn't get to Florida but if it gets much milder that is where I think I am.

Might get some fresh air here and there through the day, pick up some downed branches and maybe have a fire tonight.

This is just too funny - scary how true it is!!! 

If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull...
But that's not the worst of it. 

My headlights are out of focus,
And it's especially hard to see things up close. 

My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather. 

My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins. 

It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed. My fuel rate burns inefficiently. 

But here's the worst of it.

Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter, 

Either My Radiator Leaks or My Exhaust Backfires!

The toe is lookin a bit purply .. but, it's not broken .. it was more of a 'pinch' than a 'crush' .. and Lorna felt SO BAD, but, really it was no ones fault .. it was an accident .. even the dogs know to avoid the wheelchair when she's up and about in it.
They do run UNDER it though ..

Hubbs had a bad day yesterday with 'leg cramps' and feeling a bit off .. good appetite though ..

Sue, you did well to talk to Savannah straight from the heart and no fancying it up .. kids her age really DO want to know all about stuff ..

Sorry to hear Gord had an off day but don't fret, could be he just did too much too soon.

watched a show this morning about an implant, turns on passing a magnet over the unit, gives 3 or 4 zaps a day and no more arthritis pain..a woman couldn't walk, couldn't use her hands, no meds could take away the pain but this did..

WHEW !! Baked Dianne a cake while I was gone :-)
