Good morning everyone,

Had a test run yesterday; first treatment today. This week my appointments are at 5:45pm which means rush hour traffic and driving home in the dark. I'm tired this morning but doing fine.

Enjoying my room. Handy having a kitchenette with a microwave and small frig - no worries about keeping ice in the cooler. The women who run the desk are all very friendly. And they serve a buffet breakfast - not elaborate but nice and friendly. And they provide newspapers so I can see what's on TV. They asked me this morning if I would be their Santa Claus but I had to decline; if I'm still here on Christmas I'll be in my room crying!!!

I'm cutting strips of fabric and sewing them together and ironing them in very basic ways. Pretty mindless and meditative. Don't know if I will try anything more complicated - prefer to let my mind alone.

Gord's brother was here by 8:30am .. I was here too .. but, 'the boogieman' came out of the closet, Gord told his brother what he had been diagnosed with .. we all just kinda sat here speechless, then went on to sort of chat about the bone marrow aspiration etc ..
Just so ticked the specialists apt is so far away .. have a feeling he could be hospitilized over Christmas .. I sure hope not ..

Austin (DGS) had tonsils and adenoids out today and is doing well .. they'll be sending him home around 3pm .. tols DS, Murray to make sure he has gravol (Dramamine)

Glad Austin went through his tonsil operation ok, now he can milk it for all it's worth and be spoilt

Katie, there are nice quilts/throws done in strips..seem a pretty on where they cut a foot off the edge did a wide strip then sewed it back nto the original, stylish actually.

As for ours, we were around 75 today and will be around 77 tomorrow. Suits me! LOL

I went to the Dr today and got a shot for my sinus drainage. I had meds, but my head wouldn't clear, and getting around in traffic was a challenge when I couldn't hear well.

Katie, just want you to know I'm thinking about you and pray your treatment goes well and you'll soon be home.

Sue, what grade are the kids in now? So hard to keep up with them ...

I'm thinking about Deb and Dianne tonight. Haven't seen them post in a few days. Hope they're just posting somewhere else. I haven't frequented other forums lately.

Morning everyone. No cats here, but I have a friend that has 3 cats, and when I go to San Antonio, I will sometimes spend the night with her. So I know what it is like to wake up early, with cats on your head, or wrapped around your neck.

Hi Everyone,

First treatment went fine. It was raining both going to appointment and coming home - very unusual for San Diego so I was extra careful driving. It's raining today, too. I'm cozy in my room and doing laundry - the laundry room is just two doors down.

Not trying to do much of anything but get through the treatments safely. The pain and stuff that's going on may lessen when the treatments are done and I don't have so much stress.

Meanwhile, I am grateful they caught this early and that when the treatment is finished I can expect to be done with it forever.

It doesn't mean that there is still some difficulty in dealing with the treatment.

I really like the young woman who does the radiation treatment. When my treatment time changes next week I'll get someone else but It's nice to have a friendly face now.

Nice to see you post Katie, all are concerned and it's a relief when we get updates..you are such a strong woman, so admire you. Don't you find if you just smile regardless how badly you are feeling that it get contagious and you see such friendly faces.

Girls just left, I forgot they changed Tuesday to Wednesday this week
It was more a gab session than anything else.
I got the binding on the candle runner and quilted the panel with eagles..Doug will like it I'm sure..nothing like the appliqué eagle I did for his brother but a nice throw anyway.

M, can you Email the pics to yourself, save them to your computer and then post them? I have an Iphone, and that's what I do. I'm not smart enough for Drop Box. LOL

Off to play Frisbee. It's not on my list of top things to do, but my guy sure likes it. ☺

If I put photos to Facebook, they go right in and then I can download from there to photo file. To download directly to puter, I have to plug phone into the puter via the USB port.

I went into the ladies room, sat on the terlet and kept flushing while I cried .. I think he noticed my red cheeks and eyes, but didn't say anything to me ..

Betty, as much as they are a handful, I couldn't give up my 'kids' .. I have to say, they are sticking like glue to Gordon ..he loves it :-)

101 .. trust me, the only way OFF of my cell phone is if I buy ANOTHER Bluetooth USB .. all the info that comes with the Bluetooth to set up cellphone to computer transfers is only good for use on one computer I guess :-(
I MIGHT try to down load the software from somewhere on line
I haven't got clue one as to how to email myself with an attachment to my computer .. ahhh the joys of technology !! NOT!!

Pups are adorable!!

We had one of our garden club Christmas parties last night. It was at Sherry's, but the meal was catered. We had a great time!!

Katie - thank you so much for the update - sorry it had to rain for your arrival and departure! Don't take a chill in the wet weather! Who knows - you may get another friendly face in the next person to give you treatment! So happy for the positive tone from your posting :-) Keep it up girl! The Lord is watching over you for us and you are never far from my thoughts.

Marilyn - maybe Gord is doing some extra time flushing the terlet, too...... They say that men don't cry, but we all know better.

He has to stay in for 10 days. Only supposed to go out for potty breaks on a leash. Oiy! I don't think that will work, he doesn't do THAT when he is on a leash. He is a free spirit. lol.
