Good morning!!
Shaking my head no no Betty, I never shop on black friday.
now its my turn tp rest!! Woohoo.
Today I will finally start my BWL Christmas project.
And Im pretty certain there's a book whispering read me, lol.

Today, I actually slept in until 7:50, lol been ages.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning Judy! Glad you slept in today! Bet you had a house full yesterday?

Betty, here in the states, you can only get medical marijuana only if you live in one of the states where it is legal to do so. Hmmm, maybe I need to move? LOL!

Victoria Harbour, ON

I'm looking forward to seeing your project Judy, up you are always so creative

Nice just to have a day with nothing

BWL. Is that the floormat workshop piece

Or best/worse/learn project for mailing n Santa Warren's box

Victoria Harbour, ON

If it helps LindaKay, I would, worth ot being. Constant pain.

Lordy snow has been falling all night/morning
Would have enjoyed shopping today
Canadian tire has a $200 Christmas tree on for $59, wouldn't mind one, the one in my living room could go downstairs, the downstairs one out on front deck

We will see, need to go call plumber, forgot earlier and sure want to confirm they are coming

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Lorna was ordered a drug called 'CESAMET', nabilone .. marijuana in caplet form .. it was for her phantom pain .. well .. it didn't work a tick ..
I tried one, just to see what would happen, .. nothing, I went to sleep though LoL
I think the stuff you inhale is better, but, anyone who has BEEN a smoker in the past and quit (Lorna has been tobacco free for 6 years now) is a bit reluctant to try it ..

Waiting for the HYDRO POLICE to come knocking on my door ..I am doing laundry on a FRIDAY during peak times !!!!!!
Not putting it off til Saturday as the fam will be here ..

YEA for Rita !!!!

Going to take the poochies out, maybe try and bring in one of the Christmas totes ..

~M~

Victoria Harbour, ON

Not sure "M" in what form he takes it.

Hear phanthom pain is worse than real pain...I sometimes get a tooth ache and wow it's painful and yet I'm toothless, nerve ends I guess lol

To tell you the truth I see no difference n my bill washing whenever

Lordy snow is really coming down

Victoria Harbour, ON

Omg LindaKay, sitting here painting those 4 wine glasses when, came across. photos I had gotten re mr & mrs snowman ( he wears a top hat she a ow in her hair and also a block of glass wich is done as a snowman, wearing red togue and red gloves sitting along side of it
Drats , I've the glass block but no more wine glasses

Wish I had the energy to drive into town, am sure you will love them

Decided to also clean my refrigerator, ohh found Ruby's cake in the freezer so after my neo citron settles it will be a ot coffee and a piece of it

Victoria Harbour, ON

Oh happy days...guys are here putting in the battery system for sump pump
Sure hope all I've done is the end of flooding

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, can you post pictures of them please?

Verona, ON

Lol the Hydro police would have to have a hut right near the house if they wanted to catch me using hydro at peak time. I do it all the time and like Betty dont see a significant rise in my bill.

Still no laptop. SIGH

Hear you about the smokes M. Warren and my sweet daddy both said if someone left a deck of cigs by the bed they would light one up from force of habit. Both after years of not smoking

Jean I am listening to our Joe's cd Blues Deluxe. Heaven. Have he and Jonny ever recorded together?

Pups are here with leashes in their mouths so off I go.
D

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

What is the delay with your laptop Dianne? Sure hope it is fixed soon!
Enjoy your walk with your pups!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Not that I am aware of, Dianne, sadly. But here are some folks that are in that genre you may not have music by.

Here I sit with a nice glass of late harvest Reisling. Yummy.

Sherry, Bertie, Sharon and I went to the gigantic craft show today. We got there at 10:30 and left at 2:45. Lots to see and shop! I got a pair of Jostar long pants and a really cute black and white shark tail cardigan. I've never seen Jostar sold like that before. I've always bought online. The vendor told me she'll be at the flea market near here from April til September this year. Can't wait! She did have some adorable clothes. I wasn't going to buy anything for myself today, but I couldn't resist!

M, hope all goes well this week with your two guys.

Waving to all you other dear friends.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning,

Start my morning with prayers for all in need and "M" know it will be a hard one with family coming over today..lean on them and Gord on you.

Joyce, the jostar venders have far more than what is on-line..maybe it's an agreement they have with their vendors in order to keep them happy..post a photo please. Only did hamburg craft show this year, came out with nothing, much the same all the time.

Dianne, perhaps you could help Santa out and get yourself a new laptop much as I had to have that sump pump area all revamped..after seeing what they out in yesterday and the time spent my estimate of $1,00-$1,200 I think is way below what the bill will be. Likely get it in the mail by weeks end. Sooooo we are one dne pair ,could it be we are on Santa's naughty list?

Sitting here with coffee in hand, snow has stopped at least for now..much for this time of year..tell myself who am I to complain after seeing what Buffalo got..plowman is usually early..must get to drug store to get some meds, hacked good part of the night. Am sure the crowds will be out in great numbers so if I do get ambitious I should be out of here by 8am..sure wish stores would open earlier rather than staying open later at night for us mornimg folks.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Morning .. and, I SO agree with EARLY morning opening Betty .. some stores here don't open til 10am, which is why I think I shop at Shoppers DrugMart or Wallyworld .. they at least open at 7:30am

It's 24F here, had about 2" of snow overnight which Gord and I shovelled away .. no need for Lorna to get out her ATV and plough.
I'm off to an ALPACA Ranch just a few miles from here to get Gord a pair of Alpaca Socks for Christmas .. apparently they are MAJORLY warm ..
The fam is coming around noon .. kind of not looking forward to this ..

Best get some coffee into me

Have a super weekend everyone ..

~M~

Victoria Harbour, ON

"M" worked with a girl who had alpaca ranch, she sent the wool of to a commercial shop who knit them into hats, socks and toques..which reminds..expensive but worth it..you know I must go in search of the pair she gave me one Christmas, almost hated to wear them because of the price..must be here somewhere..almost afraid to go searching n case I find things I don't want to find. Lol

Lorna won't be pleased you didn't wake her..

Hopefully the day with family will go well

Surprised we didn't hear from Katie on Thanksgivng seeing she is in a motel that I assume has wifi..hope she is doing ok

Well I've all but had it, Santa likely will have to come twice, just went to use my washer and no go, likely a belt as it did fill grrrr

Andrew came and plowed, best I get out and go to town, will either put me in a better mood or not, give it a try

Mount Sterling, KY(Zone 6b)

Betty this is not a good month for washers apparently, mine did the same thing. It would fill up but wouldn't agitate or spin. Since it was 6 or 7 yrs old, I decided to replace it rather than repair it. It costs a fortune just to get someone to look at it and then parts are sooooo expensive. I have a friend who owns a furniture store and he gave me a good deal on a new washer and dryer and delivered them the same day. That was my Christmas present from Santa. So I won't be looking for anything under the tree this year.lol

Victoria Harbour, ON

Not fun is it..
I drove to Midland, decided to take a side trip to barber and haskel, they were open
Managed to speak with the repairman who thought maybe it was the lid switch, said he would fit me in

Told me to come home and empty washer tub so that he wouldn't have to thus less time checking it out so we will see..they have one in the store, no bells and whistles $649 plus 13% tax and $49 delivery and set up..not cheap especially after all I've had to do this past month

As you would all say

Cha Ching, cha Ching, there goes savings

Still, on the grand scheme of things not the worse

So didn't shop, came right home so I don't miss his house all, will go back into town later

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I sure hope it is an easy and cheap fix Betty! And I thought 8.25% taxes in Texas was bad!

Victoria Harbour, ON

doing happy dance, was the lid closure unit, put a new one which was $45 add house call and it was a total of $135 and change soooo I'm somewhat a happy camper

back into town and get some shopping done

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That is good news Betty!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Back from town everything on my list came home with me except for one craft items, little fedora hats. Lol

Great sales, the sweaters I wanted for Greg Jeff were 25% off
They will get a kick as they love to tease, always got the same except for color until they were grown men but I make sure there is something every year to reflect same but different so the sweaters are that item.

Just took medicine, chilled so laying down for a bit

Rita so wants to come over to learn her new machine and to sew lounging pants, just don't know if I'm up to it but didn't have the heart to say no

Let's hope I get an hours nap before she arrives

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

I hope that did indeed happen, Betty. Those girls all love you and depend on you so much!! Kind of like us here!

Hope your day was good, M.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Thanks Joyce, Rita just left, took one look at me and said no way, made sure I had everything within hands reach and just left..tomorrow's another day.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Well Betty, YOU have had a DAY !
Sorry to hear about the washer, but, in the scheme of things, the repair was minimal.. I once had to have my CLUTCH (in my washer) replaced .. my insurance had run out a month before, a $300. touch ..

The fam gathering was, of all things, 'jovial' !
NOBODY spoke about 'IT', but, everyone is aware of the 'BOOGIEMAN' in the house, and, all are prepared to take him on ... I guess we were mostly concerned with DGS Austins coming tonsillectomy on Tuesday .. he seems quite ok with it ..

Betty .. the Alpaca Ranch was wonderful .. the beautiful sox were $30., and, I about yelled out loud .. the owner (A nursey bud of mine) casually showed me a black and beigey reversible touque .. just beautiful, soft and warm .. Gordon and I spent our honeymoon in the British Isles, he bought a black and white touque there made from Scottish wool .. he lost is ?somewhere? about 12 years ago and has felt bad ever since, so .. CHACHING it came home with me.

So, at the end of this day .. BEST I learned was 'I love Alpacas', worst I learned .. not everyone likes to talk about boogiemen !!!

On that note, I am going to go and try and find a movie to watch ..

HUGS

~M~
Have pics of the Alpacas, just have to download them .. :-)

Victoria Harbour, ON

Wonderful that you had laughter in the house today "M" both tears and laughter are needed to get brough the days.when you think about it $30 is cheap to have warm feet.

Mount Sterling, KY(Zone 6b)

So glad your washer wasn't too expensive to fix, Betty. I was afraid given the advanced age of mine something else would go out and it would become a money pit.
Been shopping online for Black Friday Deals, Free shipping and I don't have to fight the crowds or traffic AND I can shop in my PJs. lol

Victoria Harbour, ON

Christmas shopping can't get better than that!

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Happy LAST DAY of November everyone.
Guess that means tomorrow is DECEMBER 1st !!
Gag me, I have best get into 4 wheel drive and get things done !

Windy/damp morning .. but, so far, no snow or rain ..
Have Cinnamon Buns in the oven (thank you Pilsbury) :-)
Plan on doing some baking today .. seems banana bread is a real favourite, and, lemon pie as well.

Other than that t 'aint much more happening ..

Take care

~M~

Victoria Harbour, ON

Where did the year go??

Calling for a high of 43f. Here "M"

Now you've gone and made me hungry, cinnamon buns ans lemon pie, both my favorites

Rita is in a cookie exchange, Lordy cost her almost $100 to get supplies, made sure to tell her to make a few extra of each so I can be the cookie tester.

Think I used my last package of muffin mix Monday, thought plumber might want one, didn't so I ate them all

I have to reorganize the gifts I have here for delivery..doubt the reorganizing will happen today..been up off and on all night

,head is just aching, neuralgia...

Have a few birthdays, Jeff on the 8th and Kyle on the 14th so it would have been nice to get some birthday gifts this weekend, ain't going to happen

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Norm's nephew is coming for a turkey dinner today with us. We had turkey and ham at Stacy's on Thursday but nephew had t work (Walmart) and then we had no leftovers. Sooooo- it is turkey day again here. Fairly simple though. Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, squash and cranberry with a deep dish apple pie for dessert. I'm hungry already!!!!

Hope you take it easy today Betty. You really do need to rest.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, you need to get some good meds for that crud you have! And lots of rest!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Another festive day Barb..

If not any better tomorrow I will call in for apt..only way to get meds

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Agree with LindaK Betty, if you can possibly get in to se the doc, GO .. the bugs floating around out there are bad wee buggers ~~
If I push a shopping cart the first thing I do when I get back in the car is purell my hands, OR, I push the cart with my gloves or mitts on ..
Have seen so many kids with colds slobbering or sneezing on the cart handles .. call me paranoid, but, ya can't be too careful ..

May have to hold back on the lemon pie as I want to go into SHoppers .. they have some kind of a deal today with the points you save up, I have over 250,000, that works out to about $200. worth of merchandise .. chaching .. mind you, I had to buy lots of stuff over the year to get to that amount !!
Not happening this coming year ..

Barb, your 'simple dinner' sounds SIMPLY wonderful !! Enjoy :-)

Best get on with the day

~M~

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Caught up before the next onslaught of busitude arrives, thought I'd use y'all as my 'guinea pigs' ..
LindaK, I have downloaded DropBox on this new laptop, and, have spent a long time rying to figure out how to get the pics to go ..

SOooooooooooooo .. I have pics of some of the quilts from the Fair I went to in Sept, a pic of Gord and Lilly, and, I think room enough for a pic f all 3 of the dogs

Here goes

Love the quilts "M"
I'd say my favorite is the green one

Gord is such a handsome man..will you both play Mr. & Mrs Santa this year?

Rita just dropped in to check up on me, glad to see I'm resting

She had been in Orillia, fabricland, bought a lovely Christmas panel with a white horse to make for her friends who breed horses so she was really excited about that..we went through what she had to do and she left confident that she can do it on her own

Bought me some red fleece, I wanted to try the snowman block light which had scarf and hat, shaking my head, she bought enough for me to make 20 so guess that's a workshop pattern for next year. Lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad you got the drop box figured out. Love the pictures.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Well phooey! I had a long post and it disappeared.
