they went home yesterday. will see them for a few days around Thanksgiving, big Florida rivalry football game... Noles vs gators, son is Noles fan. Levi, Meg, and Malena will go to the game. Ryleigh will stay here with us. Not sure if they will come Thurs or Friday.

Betty I sure hope you are not in too much Pain, you need to slow down a few notches. And be more careful !!!

Glad you mentioned the QL show on Tuesday. I'll be working at a state park decorating for the Christmas holiday with my garden club so I need to set it up to record! Thanks for reminding me!

Names are drawn - the boys did their job early this morning. I just need to double check mailing addresses and that you won't get the same name as last year. I meant to get this out this morning but the elderly couple who have the next farm over stopped for a visit. I knew they would eventually get around to asking me to do chores for them. What gets me is their HEALTHY 45 year old son who is out of work and has been for awhile plus lives in their hired hand's house rent free is 'too' busy to do the chores for them.

Barb I sure didn't mean to punctuate the sentence that your GS was extremely good looking with a ? mark. There is no doubt about it - he is handsome. That will teach me not to proof read.

Betty did you have to do all the driving? How are you feeling now?

Good for you M - you have to do what you have to do re Gord's comfort level. When do you expect results? Warren's Palliative Care doc told me to take charge of the meds if I felt the situation warranted me doing so. I am sure she would have been more than comfortable saying that to you.

My borrowed son has just arrived - I have a list of chores I just can't do myself but will get those names sent out sometime tonight.

Tony just came for a visit and said he'll be able to return tomorrow as both of his parents are doing better. His son Antonio is here and can provide back-up while I am gone.

I don't do pain well at all. I'm with you on kicking some medical butts.

Tony will be here tomorrow to work, if there's not another medical emergency. The chores have been piling up, including a broken water line. He turned the water off and we found the hole in the fence which the dogs have been using to escape.

I did some clean-up in the kitchen, depression lifting and some energy returning after Tony's visit. I was prepared to delay my trip north if he was not going to be able to be here. Glad to have things on schedule again.

Yesterday Max went into puppy mode and rolled on his back. I didn't try to rub his tummy but when I just touched his throat he had a minor meltdown. His favorite thing is to stand on his back feet with his front paws in my lap and have me pet his head - but not his back!!

Think I might sleep well tonight.

OMG, were having a last heat wave! going to be 63 by 3! It's already pretty warm...
I'll be outside stripping what i can, hopefully the last bit...If I have time will do a few other outside things, because the arctic blast is back on tomorrow.

Well i sure had a nice surprise. My Brother and Candace came for a visit and rest. Candy rested and he, got a bunch of our tools running!! He fiddle with my tiller and it actually turned over!! So i might be able to use it next season. I am thrilled to pieces, and in exchange he is going to borrow my weed wrench. He fell n love with it instantly, and I got a bunch of weed trees yanked out too, giggle giggle. Just love the Tom Sawyer effect.

So going to make this really short.

Have always dreamed of having one, but i just can not take the up keep on.

Yes, Sunshine that is the Greenhouse we scored! This is the fist season it was actually was used as a productive GH, I was really proud and had so much fun watching them in the gardens. It's actually starting to fall apart, I hope it makes it through winter. (used right now as a garden shed.)

Gentle gentle Armwraps Debbie...I hurt with you. My gosh, can you use Eucerin? I will tell you first hand how wonderful the product is...When Julia was going through a really bad time, she scratched herself raw, so badly at times she would bleed...This was only lotion we could use on her as it doesn't burn...I highly recommend it for anyone with rash, exzema, etc. At one time we probably had 10 bottles/jars going on.
Anyway, i hope you'll be able to try it, for you Read the ingredients first, I didn't notice any soy products in it.

Wasn't till a half hour later that I saw mayor water damage in the basement , 7" high
Been up all night sopping it up..
Called my insurance , say no coverage ,you must have water level endorsement..grrrr how come when you tell them you want to be fully covered and pay and add sub policies they don't advise you of this

So I'm going to be missing until I have phone service

M, sending hugs and not offended here. Recall all to well issues during last 18 months of my late husbands ordeals. Sometimes you just need to be heard....not just other people listening but hearing what you have to say what ever method it takes.

Not a fun situation Betty. Seems that the insurance companies both countries have the same policy regarding water leaks. Kim and I went through that about a year ago and they cancelled out insurance. First time calling regarding coverage and bam!...no insurance. I talked with some other companies about getting new insurance but a red flag was put on our names due to water leak (just 1 mind you) and it was so upsetting what I learned. Finally talked to one who gave me some advice what to do and I followed the advice. The original company had to reinstate us. So did have a good ending.

Many things on my to do list so guess I had better start running....................

I am in bed with a stomach bug. Tony is here and catching up on chores. Getting the van ready for my trip which I am not looking forward to. Leaving is always the hardest part.

Well after I got home from taking Lorna for her appt (all is well) I called the doc's office. We have an appt at noon tomorrow .. And we will certainly will be there.
Gord has suffered enough, personally I think he needs prednisone.

Fans,heaters and dehumidifier working..just went and disconnected heaters so I don't have a fire (likely wouldn't be covered if I did)will put them back on in the a.m.

Will need a truck to dispose of a lot that is damaged..

Insurance called twice, one lady called to give me helpful tips re damage, ie moisture in the walls, did i want a list of contractors they use etc ...I wasn't a happy camper!

Then Lee whom I spoke to when I went into their office this mornimg is going a few steps higher, she said highly unlikely she could get it covered but would try. Reminded her I had an agent,now retired, who came to go over everything, we talked about different potential issues, ie the amount of miles they estimate one travels for years, I'm wayyyy over that so added additional mileage,Maslow because my door is open and friends use the craft room I added a small business insurance so if someone was hurt on grounds they would be covered

Sooo wouldn't you think the flood issue would have come up?

The man and I went for our walk today. It was gorgeous. I had on three quarter sleeves and was hot by the time I got home. Tomorrow we're suppose to be hot again but will be having winter by this week-end. For those that know me, know I *hate* cold weather! I'm a true southern gal. I freeze much below 50.

I forgot to say how much I loved that poem the other day. I've copied it to keep with my other treasured poems. It's so true how things look differently as we age and get wise.

The pictures of the twins almost offsets the picture from the flooding. Miracle babies, indeed.

I've had to do that kind of clean-up after a hurricane or two. It is hard to "bite the bullet" and toss things that are ruined.

Maria came by for a visit yesterday. She is a nurse and has offered (at my request) to provide back-up/respite for Tony's parents. His many brothers and sisters are not any help so it all falls on Tony. Makes it very hard when I am gone. His son Antonio is here and with Maria, he should feel less overwhelmed.

When the last hurricane hit while I was in San Diego and the road was washed out so Tony couldn't get here Maria and her husband broke into my place and fed my dogs.

Neighbor Dana seems to be avoiding me and I am taking the high road and not pointing out what I think of their criticism of me. Afraid if I were to start I'd tell them some of the things other neighbors have said about their emails after the hurricane - and we might never recover from that conversation.

Tony has gone to get Jens, the man who can adjust my TV dish which got misaligned in the hurricane. Hoping I'll get to watch the Queen Latifa show. Tony called last night and said he had to take his father to the doctor and wouldn't be here today. However, he showed up and said they'd gone to the doctor last night.

We are all rather stressed but we take care of each other. Maria and Tony and I use the phrase the "go to people." I think all of you would fit into that group.

Must get back to work in the kitchen - it is calling my name.

As for the pond, the kids would like to have a fee goldfish. I am going to add a few water plants...told my Jake he is going to have to install a grated cover or fish and plants will get eaten. So well see in the spring.

what I am grateful for is my tendency to get ahead of the game..last week I thought several times that I could put gifts in their boxes,bags ..usually put them on basement floor..can you see all those quilts and tree skirts laying there all wet?

girls are chatting away, I am trying to stay quiet..we decided that the new way I organized the craft room since I got the quilting frame is not working so before they leave a new placement will happen.

Judy, did have fishies in my pond but even though it's deep most didn't survive so heartbreaking, feel I'm killing them so no I don't put any in mine..your temps are much the same, good luck..you will so love having a pond..
