Ohhh my first Christmas movie
They are playing 'home by Christmas' so I'm not too early to decorate (big grin)
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?welcome friends old & new
Nothing like a Christmas movie to get you in the mood!
sure did not need it but I am enjoying it
time to head to back shed, need more totes to unpack
Anything we can help you with Karen? I would so love to help if I can.....I have big shoulders if you you need one....
HI all
Katie - poor you & Tony's dad - prayers for both of you!
Judy - What a wonderful proposal! One they'll remember for years to come........
Debbie - ouch on the Soy reaction........... yeah, inside or out - you're allergic both ways.
Barb - Brandon just looks THRILLED :-)
Betty - packer extraordinaire! Glad you had a good time.
btw - Life channel has mostly Christmas movies. So far I've seen "Christmas with the Kranks", and The Grinch" with Jim Carey, They next have "Call me Mrs Miracle" "Elf" "Call me Claus" and "Jack Frost" lol
Thanks Barb, going to have my say tonight once everyone is here.
hope all goes well for you Karen, always best to get it out into the open.
Susan, not sure I get those channels, will have to check
just brought the tree in, it's turning but some lights aren't working
I'll fluff it up a tad and tomorrow I'll get the decorations out
Good for you Karen and stick to your guns. This is your home!!!! I'll say a little prayer....
Is today our Crissy's B'day? If so- hope it has been a great one!!!!
Hope she has as well
Happy Birthday 'Crissy'
sure hope life is treating you well
Yes it is Crissy's birthday, they have been posting on FB all day to her.
((( karen)))) hope things work out . Tomorrow is another day.
Katie feels good to get garden projects done. HOpe you didn't over do it.
Such a happy boy with the horses. He looks so happy. He found his way early.
Happy birthday Crissy.
Betty and Susan im not ready for christmas yet. LOL . Savannah just hung up thanksgiving and we still have halloween to take down. yikes.
Well I had my say and it was well received with promises to do better. We'll see.
Happy Birthday Crissy! Miss ya checking in.
Happy Birthday, Crissy!!
Morning all
Karen, let's hope they are true to their word..glad everyone is still talking
Having coffee, raining so it will be a get a tote and see what Christmas item is in there
Girls will be here around 9 so won't get too much done
Hope you put your foot down hard Karen. There is no excuse for their not helping a lot more. If it were me, I would be so grateful for having a roof over my head and someone to love and care for my child that I would do everything I could to help and pay my way. Such a difference in generations....
just KNOW I'd not be able to do it, shaking my head NO!!!!
some of the generation believes they are 'owed' not good is it
but we don't help any when we think we are making it easier for them, they'd survive and get off their butts
This time the help needed is financial. A bit here and there just isn't cutting it and I have mentioned it before. You wouldn't believe what has happened to the utilities, and groceries are unreal. They only have a car payment and insurance. GS worked overtime when he wanted computer parts and I told him he'll just have to do so now.
I sold my coin collection and had managed to put away a bit so I would be able to afford Christmas for the little kids. Yesterday I had to put it in the bank to pay bills and it just broke my heart as I don't see a way to get any more. I was upset all day, hid away in fact. Made up my mind I was going to have my say after dinner last night and did. I now have a promise of regular contributions. We'll see.
Good Morning!
Sending Armwraps Karen...Sure is tough to "have" to have a conversation. I am glad it worked out.
Oh what a wonderful Picture of your Children.
Oh Barbara, Just love that Brandon's mom was able to go to the Horse Show, Fabulous Surprise and just look at that smile!
Wowwie Betty just look at all those boxes! I'll have to go look at the Queen thread just to see what you got.
So glad you got it all in your car. and wonderful your visit with Debbie...Sounds like it was just what you both needed. Armwraps in person, so smiling. How is your leg, healing well? haha, "better somewhere else than here" I really, really can relate to that!!
Awe Debbie, My gosh, what a way to learn about the lotion reaction. I sure hope it subsides quickly.
Susan, you feeling better? Oh my gosh, That Christmas run, started a couple of weeks ago. Usually I'd be watching all too...bummer i missed Jack Frost, just love that one. I am not in the mood for Christmas, lol it's just way to early for me.
Linda Kay, are you getting ready for your trip? And how are you feeling? Hope the meds are knocking out Bronchitis...Working on any special projects?
LOL, my little light just blew, kinda scared me!! Let me see, Thank you all about Julia, Whew what a weekend, I have been just blabbing away with family and friends...The fun part is i will be seeing some of my old co-workers. My Friend Dragomira and I are getting together for coffee tomorrow. I am delighted, she is 83 years old. It really is fun to talk with them because they literally knew Julia from birth.
Well my house project was interrupted again, mostly due to weather, so i have to be out there any chance i get. Yesterday was really nice...I worked until I couldn't see anymore. But the big bummer is a tiny fleck flew into my eye!! Man Half blinded, had to off the top of scaffold with out falling, Thank good I did and bolted to the kitchen sink. Breenie, was there and helped me rinse my eye, so that put a another stop...took about 45 minutes to calm down. And i was able to get the fleck out. Thank God it seems to be ok. And I went back out to finish the board. I am finally past the half way mark. If it's not to bad out today I'll work between the rains. Shaking my head, my fault completely, Duh wasn't wearing my glasses!!
Well I got to get the show on the road here, got some paper work to do, Sigh, had that foyer cleared of all the stuff, just knew i should have taken a picture, it lasted a half a day, lol I just give up!
Waiving Hi to everyone...Moonie, sure hope your feeling better.
Happy Birthday to Crissy! She did post on my Facebook, she misses us all too...Said she is really going to try to make it to the gathering. Her computer has a wicked virus.
OK, this paper staring me in the face, best I get rid of it.
Enjoy the day.
Hey Judy. Yes I am getting excited about going home this weekend. I still have a bit of a cough, but it is getting better.
Glad to hear you got that fleck out of your eye.
Yikes a fleck can feel like a boulder! Glad you got off the scaffolding with no incident. I can climb up really well but down is another matter. I once stepped off the middle of a ladder coming down. Was only a couple of steps but scary for a moment.
Yes, Judy - I'm all better now - good meds LOL
Did I tell y'all that I went to church this Sunday? The pastor is still being........ well, let's just say he's passive/aggressive - he doesn't know when to keep out of stuff.
After church - when we have Fellowship time, he heard me say I would do a "response to a toast to the lassies" and that takes about 2 min. He asked me "Weren't you going to take a step back from doing things?" aw c'mon...... once a month, I deliver sandwiches to the homeless shelter, and once in the year (January) I'm going to do a 2 min poem or something?
I told him "I'm not on the Board, nor Worship Committee, nor the Choir - I figure that's stepping back" and gave him a dirty look. He sidled in on a conversation I was having with someone else, not him.
and the other guy said "you know Susan - we told you maybe you were doing too much" to which I answered "This has Nothing to do with burnout - Nothing" and gave the pastor another "look".
Considering sending the pastor a scathing email
Susan, think perhaps he will ask for another parish. Lol
Karen, they should indeed be helping with the extras seeing they are the cause of expenses running high. You've good reason to be heartbroken
LindaKay , you best find some woolies, mega cold up here, can feel that temp has dropped in the last hour and could snow..you don't want to catch a death of a old while visiting
Judy, think outside work on house will have to wait until spring or you also will be coming down with something.
Girls were here to craft today, ahhh perhaps gab, Have photo's to share!
I cooked lasagna for all, I managed to get a quilt on the fame and a row done. Before they got here I had decorated living rom tree so have been productive
No sooner did they leave did aunt Muriel drop in, wanted me to return slack she bought which re too small and give me wool for matching, wants 3 more skeins
Chilled, off for a hot bath
I
well our doggies are doing very good.
Tom was here for a few days. Hate to see him go. :( i will see him thursday.
Karen Glad the conversation went well. Sure hope they can help out more with the finances.
Glad your feeling Better Susan. Sure glad you gave the pastor a " look of daggers ".
Lk glad the cough is getting better.
Betty sounds like a fun time you had with the girls.
Today has been a day of emotions.
Right this very minute I have just had my son get in touch with me on FB.
He's getting married in March, his fiance wants to meet me, and he misses me.......
here is the picture they sent of the two of them

Hi y'all!
I'm here hanging my head in shame for being away again. I do have something to say for myself though. First, I caught that nasty stuff going around. I felt horrid for a few days. I'm still coughing, but feel better. ☺
Debbie, so sorry about the lotion breaking you out. I'm sorry I didn't know you were having difficulties. Prayers being sent.
Dianne, hope Diecel is doing better now.
Judy, hurray!!
Karen, big hugs. Hope things work out.
Linda, have fun!
Betty, wow ... do you ever rest? LOL
Hi, Sue! It's good to see you. Snuggles to the pups!
Susan, boy what a Pastor. Wouldn't know how to handle him myself. I'll just send some prayers.
Barb, hope Norm is doing better now.
Moses and I went to the coffee shop for a cup of coffee today. It was so pretty, I decided to go down to the grocery store and sit on the bench not far from there. I always tell Moses "find the bench"and he takes me right to it. Today was a different story, though. He kept showing me shopping carts, store palates a paper machine but no bench. I heard someone coming so ask if the bench had been moved, and they said "what bench". This store is closing, so I guess they've move my bench. I just might go to Micky Dee's tomorrow. Depends on the weather.
Okay, got to get to bed. Hope all have a blessed night and a beautiful tomorrow!
Hugs&blessings to each of you!
Susan and my Guidedog Moses
I have not seen my son since Christmas of 1998, 2 months after Bob & I got married.
We're having a long conversation on FB now....... he & his fiance Noel
March 21st, small and private.
Susan what a joy to have you posting ! and hello Moses :) to bad about your bench :( glad your over the nasty stuff. Sending healing thoughts to you.
Susan ( the other Susan ) .... :) so glad to hear your son has contacted you and hope it becomes a future friendship :) and the mending can begin
well sleeping in bed with a 70 lbs dog , hmmmm. She hogged the whole bed ! i had al ittle corner on the edge LOL. I thought she would move through out the night but NO . she slept like a mountain, nor did she move ! . Bella and i will need to discuss this.
so glad these elections are over ! no more of the awful commercials.
have a good day everyone
its raining here and cold.
Susan, that is great news about your son!
Susan, sorry to hear they moved your bench. But glad to hear your getting out to enjoy the weather.
Sue, we have two 60+ dogs in bed with us every night. Not much room to stretch our legs.

LOL Sue get used to Bella sleeping on the bed. I share my bed with a150+ lb Rottie and a 72 lb GS. I have to make sure I get in the bed first and establish my territory. Wouldn't have it any other way. Just ask Katie and M!
Guess I'm lucky, Lacey is only 22 lbs. but likes to lay on me not by me. Molly 85 lbs. is a Benedog Arnold and sleeps next to hubby. I found her, I begged for her and she chose him.
Susan so glad to hear you're feeling better, sorry about the bench though, no wonder poor Moses was confused.
Cannot say how relieved the elections are over, back to normal on junk mail and phone calls.
Susan, I'm thinking that pastor is in the wrong profession. He seems to be a bad shepherd. Glad your son got in touch, try to arrange a meeting and keep an open mind, appearances are just that.Sounds like Noel is the catalyst for a reunion. My DGS's choice was covered in tattoos and I love her to pieces. Two cousins I love are in same sex unions and I love their partners too.
Bad night last night but physical not emotional, to bed early, better today so far.
