What a touching photo Thunder..thanks for sharing with us.

Just got in from Bahama Breeze, tasty supper and two pina colata's and I'm back ready for Jammie's and an early night

Tomorrow is beach day

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

So much happiness on the thread, makes me smile a mile 😊

Lots of busy people too , hard to keep up with you.

Yard work is tops on the list here,
Leaves to be blown and raked, gardens put to bed, and WOOD to be cut and split and stacked to dry for NEXT year.
Still have our bonfire from 3-6pm, then supper .. Sometimes we go back out after supper and sit for a bit, but, the temps drop so quickly!

Criminal Minds tonight, off to start the dishwasher.

Hugs

Ml

Judy nothing better giving your fears a run for their money. So happy for you and yes what an adventure you had. wow

Good evening. I agree, lots of things to be happy about.

Grandson Jordan is at the hospital with his Dad and StepMom...his baby sister is making up her mind when she will put in an appearance...

GSJordan celebrated his 20th b'day in September....he says he is officially 240&1/2 months older than baby Eden....Nothing like an older brother to watch out for you...GRIN

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Morning all,

Jean, hope by the time you post this morning you will be the grandma of a healthy grandaughter..

Roger was 22 years older than his sister, of course there was 9 others between them.

Beach morning, looking forward to it

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Funny you ask about the sweater today LK> I just got to the bottom of the body and am starting the bottom ribbing. Then it is on to the sleeves. Should go much faster now with so many less stitches on the needle. Body had 348 by the time I was done with all the body increases!!!!
Also have managed to get two scarfs done for Brandon and Sean in their school colors. I'm getting there regarding Christmas. This is the year of the scarf for the grands......

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Lordy Terry and those gals cater big time to me, spoiling me for sure..it's, what Betty wants to do, where Betty wants to go..how blessed I am

Darlene isn't feeling well so she is laying down, I'm trying to figure out what I can be doing to entertain myself for the rest of the day

Rita just emailed me, said she wouldn't take no for an answer, she will pick me up at the airport so now I must contact Suzanne so she can cancel the airport limo

Barb, is the sweater project something you would try again?

Glenview, IL

Warning, VERY LONG.
Good Day!
Moonie, Still waiting for Baby to arrive?
Oh my gosh Thunder, I love that picture you posted. Yep, did smile and cry at the video. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Barbara, glad the knitting is going well. Yep sure hope you’ll show us your completed sweater.
Sue and Sunshine, Big cheesy grin here, guess who won’t be relying on a ride for the Sistah Gathering!!
Yep, just had to put on my big girl bloomers, sooo glad I did.
Betty, hope your day at the beach was fun, so to hear you have to come home a day early.
Wow, you are busy, busy M…hope you get all you want done…Hey We love Crimminal Minds. How do you like the new Agent Callouhan? I like her, think she is a nice fit. well plus i really like Jessica Love-Hewitt.
LOL, Really Betty? Didn't you just buy a sewing machine. Thought you would have a bunch of stuff sewn by now, hehehe.
Linda Kay, Nope my roses never did bloom, we will have to be surprised next season.
Today I continue on with laundry. This morning we lost power for a couple of hours, how frustrating.
And I am so upset at the moment…lip hanging out as I pout, tabby is not taking a charge. All of my pics are in there!! Will keep trying.
So smiling, Thank you all. I thought about how you all would be surprised and happy with me.
Sunshine and Betty, hahah...no, I actually didn't puff up a chimney style. One would have thought i just got my driver license, both hands on the wheel followed every rule of the road, even used turn signal to change lanes, roflol even when no one was around! But I did get comfortable enough to smoke. After dark couldn't because I can't see the ashtray..(no light). Trust me fired up in the parking lot before heading to my brother Bum's.
...Story continues
I know those directions like the back of my hand no matter what the weather.
I was about a mile away when He calls. Again reception was poor and all he heard was i am at your doorstep.
Geeze, of course i passed up the house, pitch black, missed my visual marker. Turned around at the dam
got a clear look at the neighbors fence...meanwhile Brother calls again, I told him I want a beer and a couple smokes I'm pulling in now.
He was thrilled to see me and even Little Jack came and said hi and let me give him a partial hug.
Since it was a school night, the girls were sleeping and Candy was working, So Jack (Bum) and i had a fabulous one on one visit. First real one. We went back into town (he drove) for beer and say hi to Candy, pick her up later. Finally got to sleep around 1 AM. Well their lives start at about 6:00 in the morning so was up with them.
Since I didn't see anyone on Tues, I decided to go visiting. I did the driving while Bum gave the directions.
Got to see where Johnny (Bo) works, Bo is the Foreman on Construction of housing. They are building 11 houses, 2 models. Said he'ld be home at 6. I thought it was real cool to see him on the roof wearing his white hard hat!! .. Went on to visit my cousin Marie. We always visited with My Aunti Mary until she passed. Now the house is Marie's and so it was just comforting to go and say hello. Haven't seen her in about 5 years!! LOL, at 2:30 in afternoon We had the first beer, Bum took over driving. Marie asked for me to stay longer so he left to greet the kids off the bus. While there My Sis Honee Bee dropped in. ROFLOL, very small town and so Everyone knew I was in and she hunted me down. All heck broke loose, and we just had a ball. Bum picked me up around 5, went to his house, visited with my nieces and nephew for a little bit...Gosh they sure grew. We had a bite to eat and then I was off to see Johnny and Char, Melissa to meet up there. That was the night I caught site of the Big Beautiful Full moon!, lol you know, automatically waived and a verbal Hello Moon..beam! lol...Another fantastic visit and finally sleep around 2, well We were all up at 5:30 in the morning...Saw them off to work, Honee stopped by for cofee and i waited for Bum. He brought me to the house, went off to do his running. I set out to gas up and and hit the smoke shop. Stopped by to see Marie, she wasn't home...Then on the way back of I course i had to stop at the Cemetary to visit there. It was so cold and windy i didn't stay as long as i thought I would. My family members are pretty close together so just stopped by quickly to say hi and told them all to come over by Mumma...lol. Then I went back home, met up with Bum and his buddy's. They were finishing up downing a tree, so I watched shivering them chop the stumps. LOL, those guys are so fun to watch with all their crazy antics. They live in our old house just down the road. Funny, cuz they said it was haunted by a women, Bum and I exchanged silent looks...My sister Sylvia took her own life in that house. Anyway, We have always felt a spirit there even before that. Anyway, John and check this out, Moon Man! came to visit Bum and Candy. We had a fabulous time and had fun showing pictures, LOL of course I told Moon Man, I too had a Moonbeam for a friend, shared our Picture...Oh good heavens, I was only able to stay up and visit until 10:30, I was done.
I had talked with Steve and we decided I should just stay there, take care of personal business. Can you believe, I forgot my medicine! So went to the clinic. Visited with a nurse and she was able to get my script transferred over. Woohoo, got this months supply costing me Zero! I also got myself registered to see a dentist. I wanted him to pull this tooth rattling around, sigh he would not...blood pressure way up. I said can't you just give me the novicain (sp?) and i ll yank it out? LOL, No. So, my Doctor walk ins were a bust. But now registered I can make appointments to see both, Next time I'll set up a visit for Vision...Anyway, I was relieved when he said to just leave Friday for Montello, lol was already shaky in anticipation.
Friday morning came and i studied the map on how to get to Ginni's. She lives in Rhinelander only half hour away. Well, even when Steve drives there we always get lost. I was doing very well and not about to get lost now. Stopped t the gas station at the exit and for explicit direction to Brown street. huge smile, exactly three lights turn right bam, found! She was so excited to see me. Acrually the timing was perfect. She got a letter from Shawn! The first since his transfer, She had me read it to her, soo that was cool. She had her lunch and asked if I could take her to the bank, so off we went. She is just too cute. Took her shopping cart out and said when we got back she was going to the store. I took her to the store and she would grab a cab back. So we hugged and kissed in the parking lot. She said Judy don't talk to anyone if you stop...People are nuts! LOL, I watched her go in. She has some serious knee arthritus but she insisted i continue on...Well first stop the gas station right there. I asked for explicit direction to get back to the 51S...cheerful grins, make a left at the three lights! Put me right on and I made it to Montello in 2.5 hours!

Whew it was alot of firsts for me, Never been to the cottage by myself either...So turned on the house, stoked up the fire, searched for the emergency clothes i left and waited for hot water! Ahhh, so nice when i finally got to my shower. I stopped at the Frietags for something to eat, forgot what we had and i was starving, got some hot dogs and a 4 pack of beer. Finally when the house was warm, threw all in the wash, showered watched the sunset and greeted my Eagle as he flew over our lake...Forgot to tell you saw an eagle on the Rez...One while driving and the other by our old house!
Steve and Joey finally arrived as i was dozing by the fire at 8:30...Dragged me out to eat, which i only nibbled. Unheard of, falling asleep at the bar...Dropped me off and they went out and I Kerashed!
Saturday, I sat a wrote a long letter to Shawn, lol much of what I am telling you all. The boat was ready for pick up, we had it serviced. Steve went for that...Ack asked me to drive the trailor back in his van, Hands on the hips...OMG are you kidding me? Did it, lol driving about 35 the whole way, geeze that things swerves all over. No more driving for me at least until tomorrow! Sunday, I left at exactly noon. I took a different route but it was still highway driving, made it home at 4. Laughing at myself, I haven't left the house since.

That is the rest of my story!

Alright, back to my laundry, sigh.
Enjoy the day everyone.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Beatitude name for your new grandchild Jean, congrats 😊

Judy, call me 'toopid', but do (did) you have a fear of driving? Sounds as though you knocked that phobia right out of the park.

Betty, this is a quick turn around for you, and, unfortunately, well, the weather is cold and wet right now, after almost a week of down right gorgeous temps.
Safe travels, be prepared to have your temperature taken before boarding.

DH is off to a sportsmanship show in the next province west, Manitoba. Long drive, but, the 'three amigos' don't mind.

Off to buy a lottery ticket, and, perhaps rent a movie or 2.

Toodles
