Hi Everyone, Found out I might need radiation. I'll see an oncologist Thursday. With much luck I'll only need some pills. If I need radiation it lasts for about five weeks. If I need it I hope to go home before starting and and get a least a few weeks with my home and friends and dogs. Meanwhile, I'm walking and reading and seeing a few movies. My back pain is all gone - the best news - no explanation for it other than the flu. X-rays for things like kidney stones showed nothing bad.

My scar from the lumpectomy is a red line about two inches long. Easily covered by a Bandaid as it finishes healing.

Susan, glad to hear things are good with your friends from church. Maybe you all need a new pastor.

yup spoke to the soldier. He sounded very tired. Which is usual for home coming. Not much sleep in last five days. He says its like trying to get 30, two year olds all ready at once. Then add in tons and tons of gear. Yeah... no thanks.

We 4 girls went a shopping yesterday, I keep saying I don't need more clothes but 3 more tops came home with me..two od which I can wear this fall/winter. Thinking of going to Joann's this mornimg 20% off entire order NOT that I need much but I'm sure there is lots I want to ring home..supplies to finish what I started.

I've read some airlines are now charging to use the over head bins. Getting a bit ridiculous if you ask me. The more things they charge for, the more customers they lose, the more they have to charge. I used to fly fairly often but haven't now in years, just too costy.

Linda kay, OMG, so very glad to hear/read the outcome of your back and shoulder problems. Now at least knowing it’s due to arthritis, you can get meds and I don’t know some helpful exercise to help it.
Oh my gosh, I didn’t realize your daughter in law was still so sick. Sorry to hear about it, but am glad her surgery was successful. Now she can go on to recovery and I hope it is fast.

well, I know that we are welcome in the church, with all my friends.

I'm sure everyone knows that Home Depot had a credit card breach a week or so ago. I just wanted to alert you if you have autopay on your credit cards such as for cable services, that Captial One credit cards just notified me they are sending out new cards due to the breach, with new account numbers.

It must have been a really bad one that is making them panic like this. They are also going to pay for a credit monitoring service, which I have been provided by other credit card companies for past breaches but I never received a whole new account.

Yeah, our bank cards were affected too. We have received new debit and credit cards. I am so glad that no charges went through on our cards. The latest is dairy queen. So if you have used a credit card there, watch your account.

Linda Kay, luckily I haven't - we don't have a DQ near us because if we did my DH would have used it there too! He loves to use credit cards for everything. I prefer to pay cash if it's at a fast food place or even inside at a convenience store, if they don't have pay at the pump. Seems there is no safe way to pay anymore but at least if your credit card does get lost or stolen you are not responsible for the money.

I usually don't carry more than $20 or $30 in cash so if I do get mugged, I don't lose much and hopefully the robbers will be happy they got anything.

Terri going to Home Depot in the morning to hopefully pick up linoleum, guess I'd best find cash to use.

Was at Joann's, yes, bought fabric, want more lol and went to the fabric shop on Cape Corral
..bought a pattern, interesting design..also bought 3 sets of lights for the Christmas tree panels

In Joann's I tried to find graphite, no graphite..need it for you to use for tracing pattern on your piece, big sigh, got to think what we can do

Found a cute jean jacket with sparkles and rounded edges, said it wanted to travel to Canada, couldn't say no

Good Evening…
Well I finished my work for the day. Took several hours to scrub that floor! Lots of up and down, legs kept falling asleep. And then what can I say, my wrists and arms were pretty capoot, also cleaned the dickens out of her waste basket…so played with the birds for a bit. They are starting to get some trust with me. I let them come to me instead of trying to coax them and then they end up biting me. Yikes they are stubborn little things. Lol did the usual, clean the kitchen, swept all bare floors, change out bird food and water and of course…laundry! Well got a message from Steve, were going out to dinner! Ackk are you kidding me? It’s pouring rain again. I really don’t want to go out and by time he got home it was like 7:15. LOL, sigh of relief, our coupon you needed reservations and oh dang, coupon expired! So I was excited to say, well I had a very late lunch! And there is a plate for you.
Jacob made a wonderful steak, eggplant, broccoli string beans…was tasty for sure…Wow, I actually ate that at like 3:30, hahaha think I beat Betty to early dinner. But then, we all go to bed rather early. And were are up before the crack of dawn! Today birds were quiet until 7:30!
Well, my tablet is charging…because of course I have photos!!
Right now DH is having his Pegasus time.
So I owe you a story of the day!

It has been an entire month, since I received a phone call. A very excited Niece to announce that she ran for the preliminaries and won the ballot by three votes to run for Council as the Vise President! I was thrilled to pieces. It has been a very long time since someone in my family has given the Council a chance. I was So Proud and thrilled to hear her news…Well she was fading in and out…lots of poor reception and all I heard was she was running for a position on the Council!! She asked for my vote.
Well immediately, I began searching for a ride. Kids had school, and work. Steve right in the middles of several different projects. My search was not going well.
Monday evening the night before of the final election of who is next to run the Reservation.
Now what do I do? I decided I absolutely had to be there for her. My Sister Sylvia, was my Made of honor at my wedding, made her journey home in 1987, we were closer than peanut butter and Jelly!
Anyway, That Monday night, I paced my floors, Had a couple of drinks and several smokes.
Can you guess I was talking myself in and out of going by myself?? Well I had a long talk with myself and this infuriating fear of mine. I had to go! I figured The Spirits, MY Spirits, family were going to be with me and I should just go. Good gosh, it’s not like I never drove somewhere before.
Several vision went through my head…accidents, bad weather, etc…Berated myself over this stupid fear!
Nope, Yes I can…Ok dinner ready, I take a deep breath and reveal, I am driving to Flambeau tomorrow!
It wasn’t can I go, do we have extra money, it was I AM going! My family, was like well ok…The only thing they were not ok with it that I was ALL by myself. This worried me, of course. So at precisely my bedtime, 9PM…I said well I off to sleep. Dh, said you’ll sleep on it. He suggested I call my friend.
Well, Upon waking up, it was looking horrificly like rain. Ohwah! Savior, yes I’ll call my friend, see if she wants to go! Big bummer, she would have but was very sick. Hands on the hips and now what??
Do I go, look at the clock, make a post on her facebook, felt horrible…more pacing. Big decision, grabbed only my back pack for an overnight bag. Saying how this just s….! Now I am running against time, must be there by 8 when the polls close…Announced to kids at 2:45 I’m going…do a quick txt to DH….
My Son Jacob, livid I was going by myself. Wouldn’t even say bye. Breenie, same reaction but at least she gave me a half hug…DH just knew. After the entire morning, and then announce I began to shake…
Walking to my vehical, shaking, crossing myself in prayer for a good , safe uneventful trip. Buckled up and continued on to the entrance to the highway. LOL, of course sitting at the light, Again I said a prayer easy on and off would be really nice….and shaking
OMG, to my very delight…the only car around very far back…and just like that, I was on the expressway!!! 6 hours, to go, and no turning back now! I was verbally Thankful.
Several intervals, I was thankful. The day was absolutely gorgeous. And by the time I hit the border I was actually very calm., lol until I got to the Milwaukee, entrance….shaken, made it through.
I was originally so afraid I was going to get lost. NOT…If I don’t know the way home by now, I’m a complete idiot, thankfully I’m not and breezed through. I made exactly 2 stops. And I only checked the map at the 2 stops. When I saw the Minoqua sign 116 miles, in the dark, you can’t even imagine the smile and quick prayer of thanks….yes, yes I am almost there and making incredibly good time!
Oh good gosh at this point I don’t even know where to vote! So had to pull over call my brother.
He was absolutely shocked I was right there 12 miles from the polls…At that point he said you better floor it…poll closes at 8! So I did, well major big bummer, I arrived at the poll 2 minutes late!!!
So I called him to say, Well I just missed it…My point, I faced my most biggest fear and finally went home, by myself, on the expressway, lol in record time.
My entire family Shock happy, got to visit every one! And lol ended staying to Friday! Not only that, Traveled my way to see my Big Sister Ginni, and then on to Montello to meet up with Steve!
I did it, faced the biggest fear I have lived with since childhood. And showed my Support to my Niece.
She didn’t win, thankfully not by 1 or 4 but 79….out of something over 800+ votes. So very proud of her!! I told her I would be there. I was not going to back out. And Awe, she was really so glad that I came, just touched my heart. My girl, she has a lot to learn, but I am proudest that she made the first step.!
Well that is the story of my day…There is a lot more to it. Pictures of my visit.
Talked to Moonbeam while I was there, because, Well couldn’t help but see that fabulous moon! LOL, and just had to tell of my first adventure home!

Nice cool morning..lower 50s and a much welcomed temp at that.

Still not up to doing my usual things...so very tired from this last trip south and having to have some surgery while having my broken tooth repaired. Well, one way to look at this....will lose some much needed weight as I have trouble eating.
