Was out this morning to Foodland/Walmart and omg all the fall mums, some pots with 3 colors, just so beautiful..yes, fall next week, we all know what comes after.

Did read up and tried the exercises Jean, just didn't do well with them, perhaps you have to keep on doing them but yes, did answer questions as to why I thought I was wide awake and heard footsteps and the matress move with someone lyng beside me....vivid imagination

Lunch was !OPA! good, we went to a Greek restaurant .. I had my favourite, SPANIKOPITA .. spinach stuffed phyllo pastry .. delish .. can't make it here at home as Lorna isn't to have Spinach, and, DH is not too big a fan, he's a meat a taters kinda guy, altho, he made chili from scratch for supper tonight, with his garden veggies .. and .. moose meat ..

Dropped by the cemetery to see Lorna and her boss, 2 peas in a pod, neither one lets ANY grass grow under foot, busy busy .. she is cutting a large section, and he is running around 'burning markers', which means, trimming around headstones to make them neat and tiday, a HUGE job ..

Betty, is this a 'special' tree skirt ?
The one I got from Barb for Santa Warren last year is just lovely, I can hardly wait to put it out again ..

Bff Jo is wanting to have a 'jamberry nails party' .. looks like a good product .. it's actually just a decal wou put on your nail, MANY designs, stays put for 2 weeks .. since I have had to 'give up' my acrylic nails, this might be an option for me .. course, I still have to wait for my skin to come back to my hands :-(
BUT .. it is looking better!

Think I'll head outside while it isn't doing the SPRINKLE thing ..

Took my upstairs neighbor to meet with my long arm quilter so she could get her baby quilt done. We sat and chatted for over two hours. Was most relaxing.....

LindaKay, off to check out the halloween swap, you know me and halloween, I'm almost as bad as our Liz...she's the queen of halloween.

I did more fabric shopping and just finishing the 2nd of the fall panels I had, this one is for Suzanne..tonight after coming home from visiting with mom I'll finish the binding..tomorrow I can bring her throw and wine glasses in and then that leaves Rita's.

Well, the busy week has begun. After the Federation meeting today my friend Kathy (yes, Betty, our Kathy) called. We went to lunch and then I dug a decent sized butterfly bush for her to adopt. It was a volunteer and not any place I wanted one so out it goes!!

Tomorrow are the two club carry-in picnics. I just finished making 4 dozen cookies, but if I don't end up liking them I'll have to find something else to take!

Just got home from Dr's.......... what I thought was a major pain in my foot is actually a very "pedestrian" issue (yes, it's an intended pun lol)........ a Bunion, for pete's sake! Mind you, and inflamed one, but still....... how very very very ordinary!! Two codeine pills wouldn't touch the pain, and you gotta know (for me) that that's a lot....... one will normally take care of my pain, and two will put me OUT. Didn't touch the pain, or affect me at all.

Heading out camping again this w/e (Friday afternoon), so need to do some cushion covers for the RV - very easy, I guess....... IF I have enuff material lol

oh, and the weather has gone from snow storm and freezing (some poooooor gardens are ruined) to 77F here today....... we're back to a cool, and sunny, summer

Will you purposely not like them Joyce so you can eat them?? Lol

Well, it will be my own fault if I don't like them. They were box mixes by Pillsbury. One is Key Lime and the other is Orangesicle. The dough was pretty tart on both. I did buy the matching frosting though so maybe that will sweeten them up. I'll have to get them out of the house since Bill and I are both trying to avoid a lot of sugar. (He's lost 20 pounds, me....not so much!)

I'm downstairs sewing the binding onto the fall quilt, want to hand sew it so I can deliver it

Betty - the Dr asked if I'd ever had gout (no), and gave me a requisition for an x-ray.
Told me to take anti-inflammatory pills & pain killers......

My dad had gout and said it was one of most painful experiences he ever had would get it from time to time something in his food choices I believe here is hoping its not gout!

yeah, too-rich of food will give it to you, like butter, and alcohol........ (no, not mixed, unless it's hot buttered rum lol)

An anti inflamm will help Susan, but, if it's BUNIONS, well they may have to GO~~
However, the anit inflamms may slow down and relieve the pain ..
I just know it has to be SORE ..

I am trying to grow mne, they break so easily
Shortly I will be into stained glass and wood cutting and that will be the end of my nails

Girls are painting snowman glasses today

I have to buy some at the dollar store, even thought of doing a few thrift shops to try and find some with the round knobs towards the top

I will wait and see how these turn out and what changes I'd make before starting

Just booked mom and I for perms Saturday morning

Need to go see what design I want on a cake for mom's 83rd tomorrow

What else, am sure I've more to do's..hmmm

LindaKay, thanks so much for posting Mary's update from facebook. So glad she changed jobs, might take a lot of stress from her and she will be dropping in shortly all excited about the changes.

Lordy what a great supper I had, ham & hot cinnamon peaches and mashed potatoes, they asked if we would like peach pie, said yep with ice cream..server brought peach pie - no ice cream so we ate it then come the young lady who usually brings our meals with I think half a peach pie and icecream so ask me if I'm full lol

went to mom's room and had to leave, her 'smeller' doesn't work the best so she didn't notice she had 3 room deodorizers going, my throat started to close and I'm still coughing..told her to close them, open the door and let fresh air in.

girls were here today, boxes and boxes of pumpkin glasses are in the fixing..they did start a few snowman glasses

Can't wait to see the finished snow man glasses.

As for the 'deoderizors' .. well .. I have NO sense of smell, so, I try to use essentials oils in some kinda diffuser or fluff ball .. once the woodstove starts up, the oil is put in the water dealy on top of the woodstove.

LindaK, thanks for the info on Mary .. I hope this is ALL GOOD for her, any info on the gelato store ? Sure hope it's going well for her and her DH.

Today was a good day .. fall like, lots of BIRDS .. mostly Finches .. I swear, close to 50+ on the feeders .. Does and Fawns around eating apples ..

OOOOOOOOOOooo .. I fell .. whatever .. I go for my one year check up tomorrow .. I was vacuuming in the living room, forgot about the coffee table and fell ass over tea kettle when I backed into it :-(
No one in the house, vacuum screaming with NO operator, and me praying I hadn't done something WAY bad !!
My right hip feels fine .. fortuitous I have the appt tomorrow !!

Glad you find the links useful, Betty. It is a game I play. Challenge myself to find answers to things and try to make sure the info is valid. Some folks collect things, I collect information/trivia.

The Radio station Mary mentioned she is moving to, is owned by the same folks as the TV station /sales department that Mary worked with (or tried to work with) Witchy-Poo. But the really good news is that they are "separate businesses" so she should not have to see the folks that made her life so unpleasant in the past.

RAIN DAY !!
Awesome for us .. was going to have to leave Zoey home alone for the first time ever with Smokey .. taking Lilly and Piper for grooming, then DH and myself both have appts at the hospital .. me my year hip check up, and he a chest xray .. he's back on antibiotics for a chest infection .. good ones this time though ..
So .. Lorna will likely stay home from work, can't really work in the rain too well, and, the WIND !!
I have been up since 4am .. gawd, glad the prednisone is coming to an end !!

That Odile is sure flexing her muscles .. feel bad for Katie, must be very unsettling being away.

I think the job Mary is going to sounds A OK .. I wish her well ^_^
