I don't no where she come up with that idea. She must have been here one day when I had a senior moment and actually cleaned. I've named all my dust bunnies

i named a dead spider i smashed on my car window. We named him Steve.

POOR STEVE

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!

Thanks for coffee and peach cobbler! YUM!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

ROFLOL, well we name our dust bunnies and their offsprings. :-)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Just packed my bunnies up and sent the on thier way. Dusty cried. I even vacumed and mopped the kitchen floor. I wilol not live like a heathen anymore!. At least for today that is LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

LOL! When I had the Grand kids here, they had lost a toy, so I picked up the sofa and told them to look underneath. No toy was found, but they told me there were lost of dust bunnies. I handed them a broom and made them sweep!

Cooking of the corn is not an exact science here lets see I think it is done enough for me. Friends tell me they have the best frozen corn recipe ever. I read it some where a long time ago then promptly forgot it. It goes kinda like this some sugar and salt x amount of water. cut kernals off unbalanced ears and soak in solution for hald hour. Put in ziplocks and freeze good for a year..

Anyone ever done this?

Dinner last night was a crab mixed with fresh garden tomato ,onion, and basil. Easy and quick.

Next Monday the assult on our beautiful kitchen starts. In some ways it will be nicer but someone in this house is going to find out what it is like to experience cabinet reductions. There is nothing wrong with our old kitchen. It was updated 15 years ago with new drawers and door fronts and all bearing glides. Oh well it's only money that our kids won't have.

Oh happy days meals from the garage fridge and the grill on the deck and paper plates.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Ernie, I can so relate to the work being started on the kitchen. I have been trying since the first of June to have my finished and it seems to be one road block after another. Hopefully the carpenter will be able to finish it this coming Monday. It will be so nice having a working oven again, I miss just bake for a month! Not!!

We just has hellapolooza of a thunderstorm. Sure hope the worst if over with...rain is okay but not all this added stuff.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

BEEN TRYING TO GET MY KITCHEN FINISHES FOR A YEAR.Don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. Altough my countertops and new cabinets are in, just need to finish painting and put down new floor

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I do believe the older we get, the longer things take. Of course work did call my "contractor" away for the past 5 weeks. I just can't imagine him going to the Dry Tortugas and working instead of finishing mom's work. :-) Oh well, he is home now and after a week catching up with his family on their special time. maybe he will come finish mine up. Sure hope so if he wants me to make any more meatloaves for him/family.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Well Michael is always working. So it's hard to get anything done.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Haven't heard of that, Ernie. My neighbor cuts the corn off the cob, adds butter and a little milk and cooks it until it's good and hot. Then cools it down enough to put in plastic bags and freezes. It's good, but seems like my way is faster.

Two years ago today, I started my day with a big, sad shock. Yes, two years ago I found my dad had passed to a better life in his sleep. I'm still happy for him....but still sad for me.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Sending a hug Cookie....I know it will be 10 years in September for Ross and it still saddens me to think about it.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Hugs to you, too, Marion.

Good morning sistahs and brother Ernie.
I was in an angry mode yesterday, don't want to spill over any negativity here.

Sue, I can't get him to watch anything that's not gore, documentary or one of those Bourne flicks. More or less anything remotely resembling relationships.
Yes, he's being an arse!

Sis Kathy, I am about to throw some gris gris at him!! Lol!!

Did it Karen, called the insurance company and it's approved for an increment. Just got to make it official.
Funny thing is Kell agreed to it saying inflation can wipe out the old figure within months! Sigh..

LK.. peace and quiet finally? You must be glad to have your house back.

Thunder, what are you up to?

I love that Autumn Clematis, Ernie. Seems you have green thumbs fingers and toes!

HUgs Marion and Cookie..Sue... Pegi..
May the good memories of your loved ones bind your hearts with joy.

Come on over sistahs and brother!'

Dad he is on his 4th unit of blood so far, getting antibiotics pumped in him. They did a cat scan to try to figure out where and why he is losing blood, and my Sis was told there is no internal bleeding.
My Sis just said because of his frail condition, they can't do any more test like a colonoscopy, due to risk of the procedure causing nicks or ruptures. So they are going to let him be, and keep an eye on him! He also can't urinate by himself, so they placed a catheter to help with that. All we can do is ask for HIM to keep him comfortable.
