Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Well good to know! I'm missing all of your chatter.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

hahahaha you want chatter? here ya go!

Hi all - back from camping last night - it was an "interesting" 5 days...
1. water leaking from the RV and we didn't know from where, so used the big blue jugs for water
2. I closed the window at the side, and it shattered into a million pieces (tempered glass). It stayed in the window frame, for the most part, and the next day Bob used duct tape to hold it in, and then plastic sheeting to hold it for when we drove home yesterday
3. Woke up the first morning (Tues) to find we didn't have coffee, so Bob walked an hour to the nearest "trading post" and then an hour back - bought coffee and a dozen eggs. He was exhausted when he got back to the campground
4. on our last night, Saturday, I climbed into bed, and it "gave" a little bit... Bob propped up the bed at the corner, with a piece of firewood (appropriately sized) to hold it. In the morning, he took apart the bed (it's a couch, that you "flip" open to make a bed and one of the supports had come away from the wall.
Today, the previous owner (Peter) came by to help us determine why the water was leaking from the RV. Turns out to be from the toilet area. We can do without a toilet (the campground has a wonderful "main" toilet/shower room and several "outhouses" so we'd be ok without a toilet in the RV).
Bob's going to take the toilet apart during the week, cuz we're heading out again on Sept 5th. Peter says it should be very inexpensive to fix.

Im here but barely
filming starts tomorrow.
Tom just showed up at the hotel
im pretty tired
Susan sounds like you guys had an adventure camping.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!

Sue stay strong for Jessica! You have your family with you, and all of us with you in spirit!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Have a terrible heady ache. I've been awake all night with it. Can't believe I have 2 1/2 weeks until my end of summer bash. This one is the Holy Graiul of parties, and no one ever misses it.
I automatically know how many will be here. WHOPPING 25 or more. my smokers will start the day before and go all night, so the night before is sleepless. We get up every 2 hours to check on them. The grills get lit about 10 am Saturday, and buy the time everyone is here and fed, I'm ready for bed
Actually, that was a miss count, it should have been 30, with some possible extras.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear you have a headache Kathy! Take something for it, and get some rest if you can!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Kathy - take care of that headache..........

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning sistahs.
I know I'm here today, and trying very hard to return to normalcy. Been sleeping lots yesterday, and I thank God there are no kids depending on me, just the cats and the ones that need their daily meds. Marion, Sue has been doing this for how long?

How is Kim doing, Marion? I hope she's not rushing to return to work.

Susan, you have enough material to write a camping novel! I am glad you did have a good time, you both truly need the break.

Sis Kathy, take care of that headache.

Sue, Jessica's story need to be told. She wouldn't want any other woman to meet the same fate.

Cookie, Kel bought some caramels from his co worker. He said, Cookie's the best!!! Much more buttery. Hmm.. he's a caramel expert now!

Pegi, good to know that your sister is recuperagting well.
My ex is looking at a possibility of having knee surgery, even though his own doctor said said it's not too bad for one. I had read the test results and it said the thickening of the arteries and signs of arthritis contribute to the knee pain. There are no fractures too. He's on meds for the arteries, but he's also an 'attention' seeker. So now he's looking for a doctor that will agree with him!

Hello to Barb, LK, Karen, Thunder..... good news on my sewing saga. I haven't detroyed nor unpick any blocks yet as I haven't been sewing! Lol. Hopefully this week will see some blocks turned into rows. Quilt as you go is the way for me.

Cupcake still needs some TLC. She's getting that loads from me. Between tuna and red meat, she should be gaining weight soon. Thank you AUNTIES for the well wishes.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Well, where is everyone? I am here all alone.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Afternoon everyone. I am here, but just a quick second. Grand kids keep me busy!

Hey Jaye, you better get that sewing machine plugged in and get those quilts done!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Have a good afternoon, Linda

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Am here.. trying to get myself together. Having to calm myself down with coffee. Gor a few minutes before the storms get here.

Kel's cousin slit his own throat the day before. His father's dying of cancer, mother couldn't help him financially, and in protest that's what Stevie did. He's airlifted to the nearest hospital, and the family's going poor Stevie. Am I cold to tell them that maybe Stevie's better off in a mental institution. That man is 43, in and out of jail. Parents kept bailing him out, he was just released after 6 years in jail for attempted murder.

Then today, we found out a good friend's son has been attacked by his younger brother's gf and the knife missed inches of his heart. Sad thing the youngest son instead of worrying about his brother, rushed to his gf's aid. His gf attacked the brother to stop a fight between him and a stranger?? Apparently she must have known the stranger well.

Let me return to the simplicity of cats!

Okay.. got to unplug myself from here. Storms are here. Yes LK, I am sewing.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Sorry to here all that Jaye. Prayers going out to the families

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thanks sis. Kel's aunt is one of the rare women pastors of a charismatic church. She practiced unconditional love. She's actually hurting her kids.

The other man is stable, but in ICU still. Kel said the youngest brother must be on a short leash.

Storms stopped. Good that it was a short one. Now I can sew and listen to the tv!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh Jaye, so sorry to hear all that is going on! Sending lots of thoughts and prayers!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Keeping you in my prayers Jaye -- and most of all for Sue. Grab your quilt Sue and we will be right there with you.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Gosh yes, grab a quilt Sue!! Barb, I totally forgot about the quilts.

Thanks LK, Barb, Sis. Will let the families know how thoughtful you are.

Managed to put borders on 2 sides of 15 'chicken' blocks. My machine's so far isn't protesting. will take a pic when I finished the other sides! When you have more than enough scraps, imagination can run wild. So, now I have 2 projects to finish. Mental disorder of disorganization here!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

oh Jaye - what to say to this?!?! so much tragedy, and so scary!! You're in my prayers, always!!

Update on the RV - I spoke to a service manager, who says that maybe Bob running the air compressor last year (to get the last vestiges of water out of the lines for over-the-winter) may have "popped" one of the lines and it may be as simple as putting it back (by Bob). What a cheap "fix" that would be!!!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Have my fingers crossed for you, Susan.

Sissy, hope you're feeling better by now. Lots to do...wish I was there to help you prepare!

Jaye, so sorry for all the drama! Keeping you all close in prayers.

Bill saw the general surgeon today about putting the filter in to prevent clots from traveling from his legs to his heart. The urologist won't remove the 4 centimeter kidney stone until that's in place. The doctor today said that if the urologist agrees, they'll do both surgeries at the same time. That would be awesome!

Anyway, please keep Bill in your prayers.

Love you all!

(Sue, call me if you need me)

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Sending prayers for all to go well Cookie, That would be some twofer!!!!!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

It would be awesome indeed, blood clots are NOT fun to deal with.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Sending love, hugs, and prayers to Bill.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Susan, that was some camping trip! Can't keep a good couple down though since you are going out again. I use to enjoy camping when the kids were young.

Well, I spent the better part of the day in a dentist chair. The one tooth that I let go for so long had to have a root canal and a crown. Then I have a cap on one of my front teeth because I couldn't afford both and now I do end up having to have that one capped. Good thing I took a book along to read. He asked if I wanted to do all the work today so I thought I might as well. Medicare really should pay for dental work too. Guess I'll have to rob from Peter to pay Paul. In 2 weeks I'll go back for the permanent caps. Now that the Novocain has worn off my front tooth is aching a little. I think dentists and doctors are on the high end of the financial scale. Told me not to chew with my front teeth so I'm guessing I should have some smoothies and a lot of ice cream.

I have 2 watches waiting for 2 years to have batteries replaced. Well, my son told me the tobacco store in the small mall behind us sells batteries and puts them in for you. Stopped in and for $10 I had both watches up and running. I thought I would have to go to a jewelry store and be charged a lot.

Stay strong Sue and I know a lot of young people will learn a lot from your story. I just hope I can get that channel here when it comes time to be aired. You are in my prayers.

Jaye sorry to hear of the drama in your life with family. Sending you hugs and love
Cookie sending you love and hugs also. Tell Bill " hi " for me and give him my best. Hope he can get the surgery to get both out of the way.
Everyone thanks for the kind words. Today went well. Unfortunaltely Tom and I had a fight. My fault really, stupid stuff. Uhg :(
he is snoring away in bed and i m here sitting on the chair LOL . .... stupid
well maybe i shall crawl into bed .... hmmm still mad LOL
good night everyone
su

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Sue - could you tell us the channel this will be shown on? I think you did earlier but I must of not written it down. If I don't write things down, I'm doomed.....

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Up most of the night worrying about downstate family. Terrible flooding, Up to 5 + inches of rain in a few hours. All expressways closed, walls collapsing on some. SIL stranded, DD trying to get to RR station to pick up son with broken arm.
Oldest son called me this morning to let me know everyone is OK but a bit worse for wear. Youngest son's basement got 40" of water and he's lost everything down there. When it started coming in he piled what he could but it wasn't enough. SIL waded waist deep water to get to our son's house, his car still under water. DD couldn't make it to pick up son at RR station but his brother could.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Sue, you are under so much stress right now...just hang in there.

Cookie, I am late but sending belated congrats on the engagement, belated birthday wishes to Bill and good thoughts for the surgery. I had the girls unexpectedly and it through my entire schedule and thoughts out of "whack".

Karen, I am so glad everyone is okay.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!

Sue, sorry to hear you had an argument, but it can all be worked out!

Pegi, sorry to her about your dentist visit. I agree, they are so expensive! Talk to the government people and see if you qualify for medicaid? They will pay for a lot more things. Maybe some food stamps to help with groceries?

Karen, my goodness, that is a lot of rain. Sorry to hear of all the damage.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Every one is safe. That's what matters.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Sissy, did I mis something? You and Bill are engaged again?
Morning everyone. Off to Physical Therapy in a few

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

My son, Sissy....don't think Bill would marry me again.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Prayers for flood victims, for those suffering anger in a household, for Bill to have his two-fer......... for filming, for dental issues (ouch!), prayers for families in mental anguish........ prayers for all my sisters!!!!!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Oh, but Bill would be a fool not to marry you again
went to PT, and boy did they work me out today

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Echoing Susan's prayers there.

Praises to the Lord for keeping Karen's family safe.

Sue, you're in the honeymoon phase. Fights should be out of your vocabulary.

I have to dish out a few thousand out of pocket for my dental work Pegi. Wish there's another way out of that necessary evil.

Cookie, you are being ridiculous. Having seen the love Bill shown for you, how could you say that he won't marry you again. Of course he would say his vows over and over for that man sure loves you. Congrats to your son's engagement.

Barb, it will be in the spring on the ID channel. Ours is 281 on DirectTv. Sue will let us know when the time draws near.. Web Of Lies is a good show.

LK, have the grandkids committed you yet? Lol!! Send them over to Auntie Jaye. I need some bad distractions for sure!

I think I've become more cynical lately. Not bitter, just cynical.
My ex called me letting me know of his first cousin's death. He said he wanted to make sure I heard from him and not through social media. I had to stifle my laugher when he found out from the newspapers.
Here's Mr. Robin Williams' death, and that affected me more than his cousin. Mr. Williams made me laugh and cry, while Renella had avoided talking to me for decades. When we're thrown together, she made a point of ignoring me, I didn't get upset as the rest of her siblings weren't that way with me.

I know Sis Kathy, God doesn't like ugly. Wasn't being ugly when I told Harris, I am sorry for her family but am sure she'd be forced to acknowledge Heavenly strangers. (Grinning here)

Back to sewing.. yes.. sewing. Waving here Marion and lurkers.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Grandson had same flooding in his new house. Son is so discouraged, ready to walk away from his house. He's worked so hard and just getting his finances in order and now this. Posting the numbers to call to ask local governments to seek emergency relief.
