Morning everyone!
I have not heard anything this morning. My Sis went home for a good nights sleep, while my Brother stayed with Dad last night. Dad has never been able to handle pain, and this is sending him over the top! He keeps asking for more pain meds, even though he is attached to the morphine pump. My Sis was told he could have his morphine for only a few more days, then they will ween him off. They start physical therapy with him today.

The insurance company denied my procedure, so I can,t have it.

OH NO! My daughter in law is going through the same thing with the affordable care act. They got signed up for Obama care back in April, and it took them 2 months to get in to see a family Dr. She needs specialist, and no one in the San Antonio will take her, because of her insurance. So she tried Houston and Dallas as well, and no Dr.'s are taking new patients that have Obama care! Pretty sad!

Sorry to hear that Marion. Did they ever find out what type of bug she has?

Yes, it is a parasite that effects the liver and causes these bouts of severe sickness. It doesn't flair up often but when it does.....it is a beast and just has to work it's course.

OUCH! I would file a protest claim or something. That is not right!

Last year my insurance was good. This year it is way higher and covers less. Same company same policy Also Blue Cross. Sigh.

Same way here. Premiums go up, we have less coverage

Now if you're sick or hurt, you're told to go to Urgent Care and be seen by a stranger who is usually only a PA, because the Dr. you see on a regular basis has no time to see you when you need them the most. The "companies" they now work for, keep track of how much time they spend with you. Sad sad sad.

Back in June I had an EKG done, and they said they saw some irregular beats, so I was scheduled to come back in 2 weeks to have another one done. My appointment has been re-scheduled 3 times now, and my appointment is 9 Sept. Pretty sad!

Marion I hope Kim's doing better.

Mind's occupied with Cupcake. She's at the vet under observation. Rushed her yesterday morning after she collapsed and remained in a fetal position. Vet's perplexed as to what caused her stroke like symptoms, and yet, low red blood count. Test doesn't show feline lukemia. He insisted that she must have ingested some poison. That cat has never been outside since Kel brought her and her brother to the house, 4 years ago. Told the vet unless he would consider bacon grease as poison.. or the pans of soapy water to catch fleas.. or maybe she licked the flea drop off another cat...
To all these, he said no. Got to be something strong as rat poison. Told him with athe cats outside, moles and voles are history, moreover rats. Household cleansers aren't within reach, and what needed to be capped, are capped!!
I didn't ask for prayers last night, as all I could do is cry. Just mentioned it on FB, and that was hard as I know there are so many humans our prayers can go to.
Kel told the vet, whatever it takes to make her well. I had promised if it's a stroke, I'll take care of her. She's one that knows me very well, will not hesitate to wipe my tears away, and the funny thing about her.. the only one that will try to answer the phone. She thinks she's helping me by stepping on the mute button.

Gonna do some mindless work like rearranging fabric.. or grooming the cats. They are shocked to see breakfast served at 6!!

Jaye I am so sorry to read about Cupcake...prayers for the furry baby. I will keep the carafe full of coffee so it will be there when you need/want some....DD of course!

Kim is better but still wasn't able to go to work. The vomiting and runs have stopped but the smell of food doesn't do well..oh well there is Gatorade.

Major break through with my sister!! Kim and I had given her a Nook a few years back, well she started using it and it died. Yesterday she went out and bought herself an iPad!!! Not just another Nook, mind you, but an iPad. That is a huge thing for her!!!! Rarely does she ever buy something like that for herself......progress!!!!

Just got back! The staff had never seen a reunion where a once sick ailing cat recovered more than enough to leap out of the assistant's arms and into mine!!
Miracle of miracles! Vet gave her intravenous fluids through the night, antibiotics and he still insist she may have been poisoned. For a while he thought it might be a flea issue, but he admitted that she's a clean kitty for a white one :D
Sistahs you just can't imagine the happy tears rolling down my cheeks. When the assistant called for us to pick up Cupcake, she said the vet wanted to talk to me.
Of course my heart was racing 100 mph, till we get there. My stomach was in knots.. wondering if I had prayed hard enough! Oh I didn't doubt God's capability to do the best for Cupcake, it's just I am not ready for my best oldest 'daughter' to leave me.
This kitty who was almost comatose, can't barely meow nor lift her head, limbs were so stiff, and I was ready to accept a stroke or worse. She's kissing me, meowing her love at papa and what can I say.. but thank you, thank you Sistahs for your prayers.
Jesus I am certain has never heard his name screamed in a vet's office!!!

She's on antibiotics, and will be on part raw red meat diet to pick up her iron deficiency. She's agreeing with the vet for sure.

Caught the news, and sistahs, I have to say, Obama had to finish what Bush started.
He had no choice but there are fellow Americans out there still and wasn't he the one starting to pull our guys out?
As for the Isis.. it's coming. They are killing those that won't convert to Islam, and I hate to see our guys go in there for that.

Let's agree not to go into this anymore. It's enough we had a strange bedfellow not too long ago, and the room wasn't sweet at all.

Just wanted to let everyone know, that we are so thankful for all your prayers for my Dad. He came through surgery just fine, and is being returned to the nursing home this afternoon. It is a skilled nursing home, so the staff will be there to keep an eye on him!

Glad to hear Cupcake is getting so much better. It is so sad when our fur babies are hurting.

I don't know what Obama Care will do to my insurance, I just hope nothing serious comes my way. I have an appointment with my doctor next month, they are keeping him so busy. Bad habit of overbooking so I usually have such a long wait.

My sister came through her knee surgery just fine, thank all of you. She said they had her up taking a few steps. She will come home Sunday and she plans on doing everything the doctor says so she will be up and walking soon. She always was a person who exercised and I hope that old exercise bike I gave her helps a lot. None of the doctors could understand how she did so much when she was in pain for so long.

Oh my, I picked up from the library the newest Mary Higgins Clark book and I can't put it down. They are investigating a 20 year old murder on a TV show and there are at least 6 people who could have murdered the woman. I've already found all of them guilty, lol. She is my favorite author of murder & suspense. Of course, that means I'm not getting any work done. Going to try a recipe for unstuffed cabbage rolls today that I found on Facebook
