Oh YAY!! Guess who just stopped by to see me!! Yes! The Canada Gang!! They got to briefly tour the garden, and use the "washroom".

Betty brought me my very own tote. I just love the colors.

She wanted me to post and let you know they're headed home and pretty much on schedule. They have to go an alternate route across the border because of an accident that may throw them off some, but they're still laughing and having a wonderful time.

Love that tote bag! Glad to hear they got to stop for a bit! Bet they will be glad to get home. Are they stopping somewhere for the night, or driving home?

Just got a call from Kim, they are sending her home for the day. Apparently she got really sick this morning....now what is going on? To early for the flu to be starting.

Not sure what is wrong just yet but boy she is pale and sick. She has a call into her doctor so we shall see.

First day back at school, with all those little bugs the kids bring with them, has to be some type of flu .. hope she feels better soon!

Quiet/busy day here .. friends dropped in unexpectedly .. nice visit, sent them home with some fresh romain lettuce and a jar of strawberry freezer jam ..

Kyle is here making supper, Greg on his way then off to bed..he was just telling me about the open house for "raise the roof" project.

One of the locals always donated his time for any fund raising, any activity he was needed at for decades..fell on hard times due to illness, house got condemned..sad state of affairs

Area had many fnd raising efforts, in fact I donated a few tings for the auction, last week all area contractors worked for the week and re did his house..Tom smith chev olds where Kyle works donated a car. (2011) local furniture shops donated furniture..Kyle said fire dept, local organizations and fire dept had BBQ, foodlandfilled the cupboards..house was open to all to walk through..hail hail my community, feels good to live with such neighbors.

Kyle was excited, he sold 3 trucks this week, salesmen aren't too happy seeing he is on is College co-op and it's taking commission away from them, but the owner says Kyle needs to learn all aspects of the business..made over $1,200 in commission..he did say he worked LNG hours..came home, fed the furries and right to bed.

Indeed that was quite a accident closing the bridge, what a time it will be for those ending to get to the city for work.

Hi - I've skipped over posting to tell you I'm still in San Diego. Will have the biopsy Thursday and get results in 3-5 days. I got very sick lat week, got a bad doctor at Kaiser and ended up the the ER early Saturday morning. They were wonderful and got me proper treatment. I'm very tired so am resting a lot. Will see my regular doctor tormorrow morning. I was in a lot of pain for several days but am recovering; just very tired.

Dad did not have his surgery today! My Sister sat in the hospital with him all day waiting on the surgeon to come in and tell them surgery time. Guess he got busy with emergency patients. Not for sure when surgery will be.

Letting you know we caught our wayward kittie tonight....Marla is home. DH borrowed a have a heart trap from work......and only took a couple hours and she is home safe inside.

Linda, she was gone almost 3 weeks. Was 3 weeks today I lost Izzy....still struggling with that.

Can't really GO anywhere .. rheumatologist put me on a new drug, took away the chemo drug .. this new drug, Palquinol, is giving me bouts with DIARRHEA .. so, I'm sticking close to home.
Tomorrow Lilly and Piper go to the groomer, and we'll take Zoey walking by the Lake, here's hoping my tummy stops tumbling !!!

Guess Betty is sleeping in? Doubt it, but, you never know ..

"M' give your Drs. office a call might be some help for the "trots". Failng that, you might notice a routine, in that case you can maybe learn a work around. I've had "it" chronically for 6 years with no one able to find a why. I'm OK as long as I don't eat. I make all my appointments as early as possible so I can get back home and eat.

Just found out that Dads surgery is tomorrow at 11:00. The Dr.'s said it has to come of to at least above the knee. They will do testing for blood flow during surgery, and may have to take it off to the groin!
Please keep him in your prayers?

Selling cottage was big, so the house can wait for a bit

went and bought fabric for that new pattern, one that looks like a water scene with muskoka chair, pine tree on it..not sure I got enough..I didn't want to sit for hours going through fabrics..needed 40 strips soooo just picked and 1/2 later was outside and homeward bound.

I talk to him every day! He is worried, but he is the one that said go ahead and remove it, as the toe is not healing! Worried is not the word. I have been sewing this morning, and looking for fabrics to make some of the fairy houses. I have plenty here, just need to make a decision on which ones! Cloth quilted fairy houses!

Will Mom demand to go somewhere else Betty? She doesn't seem to want to be happy no matter where she is. That's hard to deal with I know.

Sorry about the side effects "M". Norm has been having a similar problem and we believe it is lactose causing it. Hed gets tested Aug 19th to find out for sure.

Been sewing this week and finally got caught up the the Delightful Stars quilt along. Only three more BOMs to catch up.

LindaK, having been where your Dad is headed, with Lorna, all I can say is .. in one way it's a relief from the vascular pain, but, he will still have 'phantom pain, he'll feel his toes, shin, knee from his amputated leg as though it is still there .. drives Lorna bugs, but, a drug called 'gabapentin' helps.
Bless him, and all of you .. not an easy thing to come to terms with.

Evening all

Went to visit with mom,had supper with her, went shopping to get a few things she needed and just now got in.

Funny how one perceives things, she looks frail and lost but seemed to take this step in stride.

I kept reminding her that this stay can be seen as a private rehabilitation stop and that soon she would be in an apartment, buying a new car and travelling. Am sure she knows all won't be that Rosie but that is ok

She did have a few women approach her and welcome her, that was good..staff did same

She did ask me though if there were any younger people in the facility. Ooops

Was a long day today for her, overwhelmed is to be expected.
