Received a RWB swap box today, omg I've got to be the luckiest lady..thunder got my name

I'll post photo's tomorrow morning, tired, to o much excitement created opening a box filled with pretties..got a lovely quilt, beaded bracelet and necklace, beaded star, fabric,ca dukes ohhh and a polymer bottle filled with hooe and prayers, on my mantle, place of honor..also another hand sewn piece, I'm at a loss, not sure it's purpose, I m guessing up warmer??

So laughing, Kyle dropped in the show me his new 2014 vehicle, only 30 miles on it

Not sure who was more excited he showing me his 1st new vehicle or me showing him my RWB swap items. Lol

don't know if Cookie and I are going to hook up sat or not. We both have been so busy , we have not had a chance to talk.

UBER busy day yesterday, and, today will be emotional as Zoey's owner comes to hand over the paperwork and some food she has .. am finding this hard simply because there's nothing I can do to ease Angies pain or, Zoeys ...

Off to town early for bloodwork, something happend (?) to the ones they took last month.

Those are beautiful pictures ~M~ Sweet potato vine is so pretty! Has it bloomed for you yet? They look like morning glory flowers.

The Lupine Festival here in NH was a couple of weeks ago. They are soooooo pretty. Norm took me up to the north of the state so I could see them. Fields and fields of them. And so mmany shades of color. They are really so nice.
Love all of yours "M". Did you seed them or do they just grow wild? The peony and planter are just lovely.

Those are a bright Fuschia wave petunia in the pot, but, I agree, they do look like Morning Glories which are one of my faves and, I don't grow them anymore .. maybe next year ..

LOL, Zoey spotted a FAKE Crow I had attached to the top of the fence, she was jumping up at it .. and, boy, can she JUMP !!!

The Lupines self seed .. and this year they are putting on a grand display .. I would walk into the fields, but, I have 'Tic and Bee aphobia this time of year LoL

Home from town, no call from Zoeys owner as to when she'll be here, and, I have to be at the cemetery for 4:15 to pick up Lorna to take her into town for some blooed work .. she had her leg looked after today by the prosthetist .. so things there should be OK for awhile.

Best go bring the clothes in from the line ..

Do any of you use I-Pads? I'm thinking of getting one. My son said not to get a tablet, but only an I-Pad. Not sure how much I'd use it, but there are times it would be really nice to have, like on the trip I just got back from. Any thoughts? Is 16GB enough? Is it worth the expense?

Any feedback would really be appreciated.

I haven't as I am in the same boat as you, fighting with myself as to whether I NEED one.
I have a cell with a QWERTY board/camera, and it hooks into free WiFi when it's around, but, SHOYSH .. uses up the battery right smartly.
My son and grands say I NEED one .. I'm not sure I do ..

Deb, my son is Vice President of Engineering at Cirba..the develop computer programs for major firms..his advice to me was
Apple iPad only, not only are they easy to learn, they have everything you need and no viruses
I've had mine a good 5 years, if it went down tomorrow I'd be at the apple store doors when it opens to get another

I have one of the original iPad's, only bad thing about it, is you can't use any apps or games that use the flash program. Flash is a Microsoft program. And I have never been able to post pictures here or Facebook from it! Other than that, I love my iPad!

There isn't much bone mass, doctor had warned her, if she didn't slow down and she broke it that likely would be it..they will operate tomorrow.

Kim is with her till she is settled in, Sharon said she would be at the hospital tomorrow morning,
I will wait to find out what is happening tomorrow and likely wait till Saturday and bring aunt Muriel to the city with me

Betty, so sorry to hear about your mom's fall. Sending prayers for all to go well.

Going to Gainesville to celebrate the 4th. My very best friend's mom will be having a 97th birthday celebration. For years we all celebrated together as it was her mom's birthday and it was my late husband's birthday also. Kim and I are looking forward to seeing everyone, even if it is for only a few hours.

All the talk about iPads. Kim had the Apple Air and it is absolutely unbelievable all the things she can do with it. She evens pulls up movies for us to watch on television using this small box that Apple sells. Hopefully I will be able to acquire me one before much longer....provided all the appliances stop breaking down.

Enjoy yourself Marion..be nice for you to celebrate with friends... 97 wow that is an achievement.

Truly is amazing these new toys..when I was with Jeff last week he was showing me an interactive app..was showing police up ahead, traffic slowdowns, spped of car in front of him etc..smarter than we humans..scary.

Mike just phoned, he just left the hospital, his wife is staying till mom is in her room..they were taking blood, catherising her then settling her in

They will call me in the morning

Kim also uses hers in the classroom projecting lessons for the students...some of the activities she does in 3D. Amazing!!

Hope no one is encountering 'ARTHUR'S wrath' .. a friends daughter and hubby who live in Raleigh have had no pwer for a while, but, are SAFE.

Betty, going to be a challenge the next week or so with your Mom .. I hope she can handle it.
We keep telling Lorna's Mom (86) to take it easy !!!! She just bops around like nobodies business .. but, she has 'vertigo' every so often, worrisome.
Her Dad has had both hips replaced, one twice! He walks with a cane and, you can tell there is no ease of mov't there.

Wonder if Mary's store will be open today, you'd think it'd be bustling in BR.

Sleep evaded me a good part of the night

Kyle dropped in, couldn't believe his grandma would be in bed t 7:30..heck, lucky he didn't drop in at 6:00pm

"M" am sure that many elderly having hip replacements do just fine, my mom on the other hand well let's just say she won't do well, not lookng forward to next few weeks..

52 here but son is out, grass is so wet, wanted to get it cut but will wait till late afternoon..had intended doing it tomorrow, do all the trimming but seeing as I will go to the city best I do it today.

So are there parades, bbq'ing in your July 4th plans?

So sorry to read about your Mom, Betty. This will really keep her laid up for a while. I'll keep her in my prayers.

Tornado season started a few weeks ago, and goes till October or so. Just keep an eye on the weather Betty, you will be OK!

specialist was in, they will try to operate today if they can get an operating room..she's on morphine but still in mega pain.

Before I could ask she said I wasn't running, I said that would be a first.

She will likely be in the hospital for a week if all goes well then to a rehabilitation center for some time.

I can't imagine the pain your Mom is in .. and that morphine, as effective as it is, can play havoc with elderly minds .. good thing she has a catheter .. no getting up to the BRoom.
Keeping her and your family in my thoughts, it'll be a tough row to hoe, but, hoe it you shall ..

I laid on the bed with the dogs, before I knew it, all 4 of us fell asleep for an hour !!
Having a coffee then my shower, then I'll start to creat my own kinda havoc LoL

So sorry to hear your Mom broke her hip, Betty. Glad it didn't happen while you were away on your trip. Hopefully she'll be on the road to recovery by the time you leave.

Oh my!! Love, love, love my Apple IPAD! Betty told Sherry when we were in Canada that you couldn't screw it up! So that's what she got and seeing how great it was, Santa brought me one, too. Can't say enough good stuff about it!
