How nice to hear from Shirley. Sure hope she can get back to us soon.
See the doc Wed about my MRI. Something is up but they won't tell me on the phone. Now I will just stew until then......
Rain predicted here tomorrow. SoM you are sending it on to Betty and I. Our ditches are still water filled and when it rains some portions of the road still get covered with puddles. Sigh. I was going to water later this afternoon but with the rain coming I might skip it.
Betty what a wonderful, wonderful gift for Aunt Muriel. She will be tickled pink.

The dawgs sleeping on Lorna's Dad's legs
Those PURPLE pansies ^-^
~M~
The purple pansies make me smile M!!
Dianne if I didn't have to go to Cleveland Thursday for same issue....I would be there in a heartbeat to go with you to Doctor. I have my MRI first thing in morning.....followed by doctor in afternoon. Then drive back to NY.
We will be with you though.....and I will be texting you to drive you crazy!!!

Oh Debbie, that is terrible and so Fed Ex should help you out!
Thursday must be doctor day, not that my appointment is anywhere near what you and Dianne are facing..for me it's get these legs back to size and vision to where it was.
Sue you are always up to something.
"M" love the purple pansies and your hosta's are lovely.
Rita is here working on the baby quilt so I sat and finished Lorna's bag..now I may have gotten carried away, wasn't sure she wanted so made a tote bag for her to take shopping or carrying around supplies.
sooo "M" there are options
in photo 1 I put two dowels to measure out the 20" between handles (giving myself pat on the back for thinking of that one..handles I put on it are short and I've made two lengths to set on the handles.
If she fills it to the brim I put the pull cord so nothing falls out or anyone can reach in and grab something easily...
not knowing if she uses it while out shopping and see there is a front basket on it I thought for her purse and whatever it might come in handy
was going to put longer straps as well that she could use as shoulder strap to carry as a bag but think it might be hard for her.
ask if she'd also like longer straps before I ship it off
3rd photo, still need to put button to decorate and tell her it's all pockets inside.
You need to get your swelling under control. Remember how bad mine were on our trip? Is not a good thing!!! Make sure you mind!

Doesn't seem fair
Yes I do remember and was telling Rita.
We are having spaghetti, she made me get off my feet so she is cooking it up for both of us..doesn't seem fair to invite someone for din/ din then make them make it, well not make but cook the spaghetti and warm up the sauce.
Debbie, if that camera is for someone in the military. ..there are "new rules" They can NOT have cameras , or phones, or computers, or any device capable of taking/ storing any visuals. .. nothing allowed that can take photos. Nothing that can record..
No, not military....just a friend I have known for some time.
Yes, I am familiar with the military rules because of Justin, my "adopted" son. I keep up with them for him.
Dear Lord
what was i thinking. My oldest daughter had two girlfriends. They are partners. They broke up and well Mel is moving back to NY..... i just inherited a pitbull named Bailey.....
im a proud owner of a pitbull that is afraid of lightening and loud noises. Sure wish i asked about this before i said Yes..... teaches me don't it
sincerely
sue aka " sucker mom "
Sue see about getting a "thunder jacket". They are these vests that you put on the dogs when there is a storm. They are GREAT!!! Really do wonders. My friend Sandy has a big dog, Andre, and she had one for him...helped him so much, and he is much better.
You did a good thing and are a great mom.
Morning everyone! I can't sleep... hmmm wonder why? lol
Sue you did a GOOD thing. Ya got yourself a pittie, lucky you. And I mean that, I love pitties. Excellent advice from our Debbie about the thunder shirt. Also if the pup is really wild during T and L.s you might consider talking to the vet about a tranq. Eons ago I had a pup Cassie who was a cross between an Irish Setter and a Saint Bernard. Totally loony tunes. We always knew a storm was coming because she headed to the bathtub. She was a mess the whole time it stormed. Vet rxd a tranq that I only gave when a storm approached. Worked wonders for the little girl.
The man who drowned near my house was laid to rest today. I went to the cemetery to pay my respects but declined to go back to the house.
Big storm going on right now. Knew I didn't water the garden fora reason.
Make sure you all do something nice for yourself today ladies.
Dianne
Can't sleep either Dianne, laying listening to the rain..they say we will get thunderstorms today, better during the week vs weekend. Checked weather for your neck of the woods, says sunshine for the weekend so guess it will be nice for the wedding.
I had a st Bernard as well, got him at 8 weeks old, terrified of storms but worse was Sailor, Lordy she would cry and try her earnest to get under the bed, couple times had to take the matress/box spring off to get her out. Didn't know about the jackets.
Know it's difficult for you going to funerals, still after all these years it brings me down me down memory lane.
Sue, how many furries do you have now?
Best get up and see if I can focus these eyes, unfocused and milky this morning. Grr
Sorry to hear about your friend passing Dianne!
Betty, I sure hope you gee some relief soon from your swollen legs and bad eye site. Hope he finds a different med for you!
Betty, the tote is perfect as is, and you are beinf sent MEGA amounts of thanks from Lorna (and me) ^_^
The colour is absolutely perfect, and POCKETS are always a good thing ..
Haven't thought of a 'thunder jacket' for Piper .. he only just gets very needful of human touch when the thunder boomers start .. Lilly, well, talk about 'crazy owners', the first spring we had her, she was about 5 months old, I SAT OUTSIDE during a storm with her, under a patio umbrella and taled away about what was happening. It was a very SHORT storm, but, Lilly has never had the 'storm fear'.
Sue, good luck with your new pal, Bailey ... you have a forever friend.
Dianne .. tally so far this year of drownings is 3 .. and .. 7 people were found clinging to their capsized boat on an interior lake late last night, the water was very frigid ..
Hate hearing about stuff like that ..
Looks like a rain day here .. maybe
TOODLES
~M~
Sending condolences Bev. Even though you were separated from him, he was a big part of your life. Sure hope the future shines bright for you.....
Sorry to hear about his passing! Glad to hear your getting a new roof!
Prayers and hugs coming your way Bev..know how difficult these past years have been. Trying to remember how long ago it was since Debbie and I visited, ages ago!!!
Scotty was so ill, even when we were there I could see how much of a challenge it would be for you to look after him..Am sure he's in a better place
Am happy though that perhaps the drama of these past few years is behind you..nothing they can do i.e. having you moved out of your home right?
Lordy is that your beautiful gardens I see in the photo..how devastating..just no words...
Hurrah for the new roof!!
"M" Mae set hers closest to her hanging on the handles, guess it could be made to go infront just above the basket
does she use walker when going out shopping or just in the house?
Going to post office this morning and mailing it out..
That is my fish pool garden Betty. Going to redo all but no more fish. It took out both of my arches.
Oh Bev, how horrible, lucky you are safe and unharmed.
Debbie will attest how beautiful your gardens were, the memorial area giving a sense of peace.lots of work ahead of you for sure.
Is your son still staying with you..
I'm just so thrilled seeing you post
((((Bev)))) Sending gentle hugs your way.
Good luck with the trip with Tyler. Which reminds me, Betty, did Sharon ever find a home for the dog she needed to get rid of? I'm sure people were standing in line. Her dogs are so beautiful. Has she done any breeding recently? I know she had a couple of bad births. Hope it didn't discourage her.
Good to see you posting, Dianne. Glad your work got finished and you didn't have any trouble with the hired help. I was worried about you! Hope you get your dizzies under control. You, too, Debbie!
Betty, sure hope they can get you under control! With your trip coming up, you certainly don't want either one of those problems!
Hey, come ahead and we'll have a learning time at my house! Of course, you'll have to bring your own sewing machines since I don't have one!!!!
Garden club planning meeting today. Wish me luck.
Sorry to hear you lost your gardens Bev. Hope they won't be too hard to re do!
Julie has the interest tread open for a fairy/miniature garden swap open.

Good Morning!
Wow, This is fabulous to see Crissy, Bev and Shirley!!!
...So first for Crissy, sure hope you get some down time for yourself. Sounds like you have been busy with the job.
Oh my gosh, this is so funny cause i was just wondering how you all have been doing too.
Shirley, Goodness hope you got the DG thing straightened out...Sounds like maybe Tubby' subscription ran out. if that was the case then, You may have had access to DG but not all of the threads. At any rate, I do hope to see you soon. My gosh, have thought of you so often while going back and forth to the house.
LOL, there has been a ton to catch up on, don't be over whelmed, just jump on in.
Armwraps to you Bev!!! Sorry to hear of Sotty's passing. I sure hope his ex and son WILL in fact leave you be now. You are FREE, So wish I can celebrate with you, but then i still can, Cheers...
(I know that isn't very nice, but he wasn't very nice to you either)
Awe man, so, so sorry to see what a storm has done to your gardens. You sure have your work cut out for you. Yep, hoping you get some help with clearing...
So every time I try to get everyone in a post, I get interrupted...But I will try and touch upon all.
((((((((((Debbie)))))))))))) Well I was seriously bummed about whats going on with your kids! I do know how horrible it is to be Kept away. (Happened to my mom) I was so thrilled, about your getting to spend sometime although very short but at least they let you visit for a short time...And I know you will Cherish with all your heart any time given. I think for your own benefit, excepting (whatever) will ease some of the pain, at least openly...So, I hope Izzy is feeling better too. Sorry you had a bad day on your moms anniversary, they are never easy, however, I sure hope you felt her love in your heart.
...On a happier note, loved your photos of the swans!!
Linda kay, OMG!! How is DAD?? I wish i had read about him the same day you posted, I'd have called.
I am glad that it turned out to be nothing, but wow what a scare. Also, i do keep him in mind and prayer all the time...Hey thanks for posting the iris swap!
If anyone wants any let me know! GOOD Diggen Gosh!! I have tons...I've given to neighbors, the mail lady and now this swap, well what ever is left I will put at the street, free to a loving home...
( tell you about that later)
Awe, Barbara, So glad the Graduations were nice and they love their Quilts! I am just so happy, you have a friend in the building too, always so nice to have someone to visit and play with! Now, i'm not sure if you posted any thing about hanging plants from your window. I'll have to take picture of this no mount hanger i actually have...if you want and can use them, i'll send them to you. I have 2...lol they have been in my storage for years and will say, I will never use them, I obviously forgot i even had them. Now a good read by the Lake sounds wonderful. What do you enjoy reading?
OHHH Dianne, Sending you a giant Armwrap as well. What a horrific thing to happen. I am so sorry to hear that your friend has passed. It rocked me to the core just reading he was on your property. OMG, hate to say, but i am really kind of glad you were spared of finding him because of the dizzies.
Sure sounds like you are getting a lot done too. Ewe and yuck on the pups eating the cow manure, lol, well there is a help with "spreading" it around! ROFLOL, once a very "Green" gardener asked me if she should spread her dogs poop around for fertilizer...lol, now I wish I could tell her unless they eat cow manure!!
M, Wow what a cool bag Betty has made for Lorna! i am so glad Lorna's parents had a good visit. Sounded busy for all. Also, I hope the gardening is going well too. Just love that people came to welcome her back. Also enjoyed your photo's, pretty little Hosta bed, what is the reasoning of the aluminum dish in the center?
Sue! LOL, you sure have a way about ya! LOL, you weren't challenged enough with the Twins and 2 kids(baby goats) your Dog, lulu? that you had to adopt a pit!! and a scaredy one at that, lol you one brave Sistah! Bummer he's scared of storms, but i hope you get that jacket and it helps.
LOL, You big Winno, I'll dance with you and Betty anytime, and hahaha, even got no qualms of dancing by myself, so glad you had a good time, wink.
Speaking of Sue, Sure wonder how Susan is?? Haven't heard from her since she started the job.
Thunder have you heard from her? Please tell her we miss her and hope all is going really great for her and Bob.
Thunder, big smiles sure hope you get your sewing day in...Don't feel bad, We are way behind on things too! Was so glad you got to visit with Son and GD's on Fathers Day!! Hope your not too crazy at work.
Marion, I have just been smiling up a storm. With Sue feeling better and your being able to stay home and get your place in shape. Don't over do it. Happy to hear your Room is finally Done or near done? Well i surely can't wait to see, been a long haul, so i know you'll enjoy every minute.
Waiving Hello To my Moonbeam!! Hope you are doing well and Feeling well too.
I'm so glad we were able to finally connect!!
As long as I am waiving, Waiving a big hello and big Armwraps to you Liz!! And just because i wasn't able to post Singing Happy Birthday to you, hope you had a great dinner. Blowing out a candle wishing for you things settle down at the job front and soon!!
Where is Sunshine? How's the garden growing? Please tell Sherry I said Hi and Bertie too.
I look at "my, our, your" Pond every day!! Hey did you go on that tour? I know it will/was wonderful.
I often think of you you at beer:30, lol...I just love when other people say that, and i think I had a beer with you that day too, or at least when i read that. lol...I remember because i was celebrating at 3:00, trust me I deserved it that day...Anyway, what's been happening?
Mary, I sure hope all is going well with you. Did you go to Florida? Sending you some big Armwraps about the shop, i know it is so hard to get things in "order: with all the newness. But i hope business is doing well.
My goodness, you be sue to get time in for Mary. Think of you all the time and always, smile when my Hibbies start rising!! Woohoo and I've seen that they have popped up, was getting a bit worried.
Karen, Not so sure if i've said, but how wonderful that you made those bags for walkers! I know it was a long time ago, but I always am behind the times, lol. Geese, i don't blame you on drawing the line somewhere. I come from a huge family too, not as huge as yours, smiles, but pretty big. Anyway, i make stuff for the Little kids now and again. Anyhow it is very generous of you to make the piece for your neice...The time it takes you to create is as precious as if you paid for the materials. When i made the diaper cakes for people, I always gave them a shopping list, with the notion of what they bring me is what I have to work with, that way i didn't ever have to guess, they can go outrageous or they can go cheap. But the end product was always made with love. Anyway, i hope they have fun shopping and bring you lovely material to play with.
Did I get everyone?
Nope, I know Betty, your next my friend...But i got to take a short break and I will be in tears if i loose this post, so sending now and I'll be back.
OH Gosh, I am not celebrating His passing, I am celebrating your further Freedom!
(don't want anyone misunderstanding)
Hey Judy.
How are you doing?
Dad is still in the hospital. He keeps complaining of chest pains and lower tummy pain. They have done all kinds of blood work and scans. His white blood cell count is s till high, maybe because of his infected toes. They found small amounts of blood in a stool sample. But he was told if he has an ulcer or internal bleeding, he can not be operated on as he is too frail, and most likely won't survive. He will most likely be sent back to the nursing home today, or tomorrow, and we will just keep him in our prayers!
Waving, hi Judy
Know you are in a good frame of mind and all is well with the world Judy when you write a novel! Lol
Looks like a storm is brewing, sure did need the rain though.
"M" tell Lorna a package is travelling north..not sure it will fit or what was needed but heck, another could be made
LindaKay, meant so say I'm sending prayers for your dad..hopefully he will be back in residence in good care.
Thanks Betty!
Somebody call for a Noah 's Ark
Am sure the gardens will be completely flattened by end of storm
Have read all the posts .. but .. I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't know if any of you remember a young woman asking me to re home her 6 year old Westie, it was last October .. she has 2 daughters under the age of 2 and was finding it so difficult .. ZOEY is a 6 yr old female (spayed) Westie .. anyway .. as it turned out, she couldn't let Zoey go, strong attachment.
Well, today I got an email from her, and, she IS letting Zoey go, and had kept my email as she wants me to take her.
I am SO confused .. I feel bad for her and Zoey, but, will this have a negative effect on our Lilly (7) and Piper (4)?
DH is being a grouch about it .. but, I stay out of HIS stuff .. this would be totally a ME decision ..
I am bewitched, bothered and bewildered here ..
Judy, the 'clanging' of the aluminum pie plate keeps the bunnies, squirrels and deer away :-)
Bev .. sorry for your loss
Betty .. will watch the mail .. Lorna is SO excited, !!!!!! Thank you in advance SO much ^_^
WINE 30 for me LoL
~M~
Has been storming here since early this morning, DH caught 1.2" of rain in his rain catcher thingamee LoL
~M~
Big decision for sure..don't envy you!
How are they with other dogs that visit?
Guess worse that could happen would be you would have to find a home for Zoey
O black out there, rain is pounding windows.
Well M if it was me, I'd take her in a moment. You know you won't be happy letting her go someplace else. You could at least give it a try and find her another place if yours doesn't work. Maybe a home with a single senior.

has been my experience....slow and steady introductions work best. Let them meet first outside.
Let them play....and get neutral. Feed her in a totally different area....and at first, let her sleep elsewhere. You will know in a day or two....how well they will adjust. AND...USUALLY if they are spayed.....it is a good fit. It is when they are intact you run into more problems.
Good luck!!!
Sorry to hear of Scottys passing also....one of those bittersweet pills to swallow. You deserve a break....and the best Bev. BIG hugs.
Oh Judy it is so good to see you post. I only have 1 colour of Iris - a deep, deep purple- utterly breathtaking when in bloom. Every time I plant another colour of Iris something digs them up. I am wondering if it is the same critter that digs up my Lily of the Valley every time I transplant them from the old abandoned farm house on the property. Is Jake having a good time on his trip? Did your brother end up coming to paint with Steve? I wish you lived closer I need this whole house, both floors painted.
M that is a dilemma....... you have a big heart so I know there is lots of love for Zoey.Love the name! You just need to decide whose needs are the most important.Make sure you consider your own needs while making your decision. I would gladly take in another pup in need right now but I know Duke still needs me too much. I had such a hard time deciding what to do when asked to foster Diesel's sister Layla for a few months. In the end Layla's owner made my mind up for me and decided to keep the dog. Duke's needs aside I wasn't going to see the pup left in a bad situation. Lol at your DH being difficult.... Warren would be the same way. Before he got sick he had pronounced 1 night that after Stormy and Quill had crossed the bridge there would be no more dogs. I just smiled and said "Oh sure" knowing that would never happen. How is Lorna's new leg working out now? Hopefully no more problems.
LK sending positive thoughts and prayers for your dad. Poor guy! Will you be going up to Michigan anytime this summer?
Mary you are never far from my thoughts each day. Know you are stressed to the max and to quote my mam "probably working on your last nerve" right now. Business picked up any? You and Lance were very brave to start up this business in this economy. If hard work and a desire to fulfil a dream count for anything in the business' success you will soar.
Rain here too M and Betty. How about you Debbie? Floating?
How is our Miss Izzy doing? What time do you have to get up to leave on Thurs? I'll be there with you in spirit along with the rest of Club D.
Bev I was so sorry to see your gardens. Darn weather!
Karen I so understand about having to draw a line when it comes to your family and who gets and who doesn't. Dad was the eldest of 9 and mam was 1 of 13, 11 living so there were lots of aunts, uncles and first cousins. When there was a wedding the invite to those relatives numbered well over 100 before you even started your guest list. Dad encouraged us all to elope.... lol just kidding.
Dianne
I agree with Debbie, maybe take your dogs over for a visit, and see how it goes. Make your decision from that visit?
I am trying to figure out how I can work in a visit to Michigan. Maybe in a mid to late July? I might fly out after I see Betty and the girls the end of July?
