Dianne, I didn't take it as complaining.........I don't tolerate heat nor humidity well either. Lower 70s would be my ideal weather. I like less these horrible thunderstorms that come with this heat!

Getting ready for a trip to Sarasota so Sue can see her podiatrist then to Yoders for lunch.

Verona, ON

I knew you didn't Marion. Have a great excursion to Sarasota!
D

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!

Dianne, the dogs love this heat. They go out in the front yard in the afternoon and just lay there soaking up the sun!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Anxious to hear how Lorna's made out.

Have a fun day with Sue, Marion..isn't it great when drugs given do their job..who knows, one day she'll be visiting with you!

Headache is still with me Dianne, not easy to get rid of..know they say I've fibremialgia (?) but havent been bothered with it as of late but lordy every bone in my body is aching again. How have you been feeling? almost caught up with outdoor work?

Melanie's birthday today, I will go to the nursery and pick her up a hanging basket, she loves having flowers around the pool.

Jason made the vanity side cupboard last night at his dad's as he knew I had a terrible headache and didn't want to be making noise or a mess for me to clean up, hoping he'll be back to finish the project tonight. This weekend would entail painting doors, vanity, trim white..

always something to do

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh but am I stuffed! There was so much food that all of us brought some home. Smoked bar b qued chicken, corn cakes, potato cakes, fried okra and green beans....4 slices of their homemade bread that resembles a full loaf. Sue and I shared a slice (more like a 4th of a pie) of coconut pie. Kim had chocolate cream. Oh my., oh my! Did splurge on a rhubarb/strawberry pie. Bad us......:-).

Afternoon thunderstorm moving in with the wicked lightning.

Hope everyone id doing okay.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Just checking in.... I cleaned at my daughter's house today for 7 hours while she was at work. My DGS graduates tonight and his Open House is Saturday. She's a school librarian, and they haven't let out for Summer yet. Wow, what a job, but it looks great if I do say so myself! Now were having the battle about whether she's going to pay me or not. I say NO! We'll see who wins!

Graduation starts at 7:00 so I have to leave at 6:20. So I'm resting until I have to get in the shower. I'll be tuckered out by the time I get back home tonight.

Here are a couple more pictures.

Dianne!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess what has arrived here ??!!! Mosquitoes!! I swear they about carried me from the garage to the house !!!
We have been so spoiled ..........

Joyce, what an AWESOME Mom you are ^_^
Hope the grad and weekend Open House go well .

I best get to bed WAaaaaY past my bedtime !!

~M~

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all,

Certainly good news about Lorna "M"! Do her parents arrive this weekend?
Plans you've made now that Lorna's working sound like the perfect mixture.

Dianne, looks as thought you sent those skitters right past me and on to "M". Good girl

Katie, hooe tony will not rush back to work before he's fully recovered..take it easy, not trying to catch up on work you and tony should have gotten done yesterday!

Barb, need photo of Brandon's quilt before you give it to him.

Joyce, just love your garden, guess because I've been there and enjoyed its beauty I can visualize where everything is..now what are those blue flowers in photo 2.. Do know them but can't put a name to them. Think I will drop into the nursery today and look for a dew Perrenials I don't have

Just did my walk around the gardens, everything is so lush green, colors that do full range from lime greens to dark green! Did ohh and ahh as one of my glowering crabs is in full bloom..6 more to go. Lilacs are dormant so far this year, see some as I drive into town but nothing yet.
What I do see though is lots of weeds..too bad we couldn't have a 'weed' party, would take long with all of you in my gardens.

Drats, Jason did not come last night..I had picked a gorgeous metal potted mix of flowers for Mel's birthday, dropped it off, asked for spaghetti supper but I declined seeing as I thought Jason was coming and might need help, but no go..guess it will be another weekend with this mess. Grrr

I base coated a canvas this morning, Danielle and Jason get married on June 13th so thought I'd not wait till last minute to do the project I was asked to do..paint a tree so that guests can add their fingerprints to it, not something I'll enjoy painting, a bare tree but what to heck, sooner it's started the sooner it's behind me.

Finished yesterday the 2nd RWB tote bag, seeing as I had some fabric left, not enough to do anything major that I would make a bag..love the colors, likely because of the patriotic theme.

Goal this weekend

Weed front gardens

Quilt patriotic throw

Paint doors/trimmin for washroom, no sense waiting on finished room

Picture windows. DONE

Oh yes, someone said I must put REST on the weekend list

This is similar to the tree at my grandsons wedding. I liked it because it had a roots area where the grandparents could sign.

Well it shows the whole page of them but theirs was the one with roots that had the heart in the branches. I like the one with a place for the couples prints made into love birds too.

M more than glad to send the skeeters on to you. Doesn't seem to have diminished the numbers here by any. Last night I had to burn a mosquito coil inside to get some relief. A couple of the doors were left open by the dogs and I didn't notice right away. Note to myself tech these pups to close the screens after themselves. At least the pups open the screens and not barge right through them as previous dogs have. While it is beautiful having water on 3 sides of me is just a breeding ground for bugs. Plus the water is so high in the swamps still there is even more water area for the *&%$ to breed. The last couple of years the swamps have been much lower.

Mary I bless you every day. The Kong you sent that the pups disassembled has proved to be their favourite toy. How were things when you got back to the shop? Hope things went well and you and Lance will be encouraged to getaway again. Having had a business I ran with my DH I know how important it is to get away from it and have some alone time.

Betty my gardens are nowhere near where they should be and with these latest attacks of vertigo I lost several days of being out there. Plus the doc doesn't want me bending over as it prompts these dizzies. I could just weep. I have decided I will let some of the beds just revert back to what we call grass - its really just a bunch of weeds all growing together.

Pups need out. Skeeters are calling my name.
Dianne

drats and double drats, would get kicked of DG if I expressed my feelings..I am just shaking and I'm not even you.. shaking my head..

There is a saying Karen that goes along with the tree, will do it as well
got to find where I put it.

Victoria Harbour, ON

that's about what my grass is Dianne..know how frustrating it must be for you not to be able to play in the gardens, at some point guess we'll all have to let some of the gardens go, not a pleasant thought.

I haven't been able to use the grass whipper snipper because of water in the ditches, looks so unkept..hasn't rained for a bit but likely the run off of winter. Who knows, maybe once I cut the grass and can't take the look along the side of the road I'll get in my fisherman outfit and wate through it.

Has the doc given you new meds?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Congrats Grandma Debbie!

Debbie, I agree with everyone else. That is just so wrong. But I would make sure you do not give in to them when they call for help! At this point, I would tell them exactly how you feel! It is obvious they don't care if they hurt your feelings! ((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))

Glenview, IL

Good Morning.

Oh Debbie, sending you big Armwraps. I am just shocked and devastated for you. I too, am shaking my head while wondering what the heck is their problem?

Betty, Awe, was hoping you tried that remedy and it worked. Well I sure hope you get to feeling better.
...you had asked if we road the motorcycle to the cottage. Well not the weekend i told you about, but this past weekend (Memorial weekend) did, oh gosh it seemed to have taken forever to get home. Lol told DH i had enough of a ride for the season...Anyway the house is just about ready for renters. We are booked for end of June and most all of July!! I might have to do a couple overnight trips, as the cleaning person also has a full time job, well see how things pan out. But then she has handled back to backs pretty darn well and we learned that a few times she has spent the night in order to get it all done! Well, well never thought that but does explain how electric was spinning while we were not there! LOL, I wondered how she was able to do it and now I know. This does not bother us in the least, she is a very trusted friend of ours.

So been working in the beds, still so much weeding, its insane. From the front beds, i have thinned out tremendously the Japanese iris and the White and purple Bearded...taking some up North and gave some to mail lady, our old neighbor and 2 of Jakes friends that have taken up gardening. Alex, drove her mom past my house so she can see what they will bloom as. SAID MOM THOUGHT THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL(OOPS), lol yep I know! Then the what left of straggles, threw away!! When I do the next part, I will place in a box by the street, free to take. In a short time here, Breenie and I are going to see Menards Garden Center...Want to see if I can get some summer bulbs and what else they have, but i am mainly interested in Roses!

Wow, you all have shared such pretties from you gardens. Nice to see.
I can't wait to see what color(S) My Carol's Love is going to be!!

Dianne, sorry meant to say the other day Happy Birthday to Deisel.

M...Omg, was so bummed about Lorna's leg but ever so relieved and happy all turned wonderfully for her!

Well, I am off to the house again. We ordered a new mattress for the double bed and it is ready for pick up. While there, will finish up the yard work, and plant these plants. Cleaning lady, will also water!
Sorry to hear the Vertigo, is giving you some problems.

Thank You Barbara!! Got my d-mail and phone book all up to date. Loved the pictures too.
Oh yes and You know i can't do too much beading anymore, My fingers get locked up. But Julia has been playing with beads so she and i will check out the bead place.

Katie, sure hope you and Tony are feeling better!

Bev, Was grand to see you posted...Yikes, you have ton of clean up too. Hope its going ok.

Alright, need to get a move on.

Oh I want to post Breenies shorts!

Glenview, IL

Brb

So showing front/back and Breenie modelling!

That last picture, is for M...This is jumanji, my pot person.
Lizrainy, gifted the kit to me and together she and i built her when Liz Came to visit/meet me!
...(I know Betty told you about it being a pot person, so thought i'd share a picture for you.)

lol, shows over...Oh, those yellow blooms are a ground cover. lol geesh, forgot the name!
but just in front of her, are my Alaskan Daisies, and directly behind her is my Roses, (Carols Love)
Originally, they were completely white, transplanted and turned completely Red!...a couple of years a go they started blooming with traces of white, sort of pinned striped! Well this is the reason for my excitement to see how they bloom this year. Whioa, plus I chopped it way , think i already told you that!

Alright realy got to schoot, Breenie, ready to go.

Enjoy this gorgeous day.

Marion So, so glad your having a good visit with Sue!.

Oh Judy, Breenie sure is doing great with her sewing!!

Fun to have her enjoy what you enjoy..
Ahhh have to get my pot people dressed in Canada Day garb, bet you thought I was going to say RWB lol

The drive to the summer house isn't as far as it was for you coming here?? likely not..guess it all being new and adrenaline going because of sister's gathering at my house you didn't mind the sitting especially as it was the only way you could get Steve to come.

Steve working downtown?

You've done well with rentals, still early in the season, you will want to keep one week for you during August won't you?

Glenview, IL

LOL, Betty, nope that is my sewing...it was just her idea! I created the pattern and did all the pieceing for the panels. lol it took forever, but was great fun.

mulege, Mexico

Sending you superhugs, Debbie. I am all too familiar with that kind of nastiness. It is inexcusable.

It's another hot, humid day here. I need to call an insurance person to see if we can finish handling the car stuff.

I sold more t-shirts so we have enough money to pay for the land. Will probably do that next week..

Neighbors Dana and Tom left for their summer in Washington State while Maria and I were in Santa Rosalia. Hope their trip accompanied by five small dogs goes well. Two of the dogs will go to new homes.

Rafael brought another load of seaweed and sold me some snapper. The dogs and I will eat well tonight.

So many problems that have dragged on are being solved. So far all has been going smoothly. I am exhausted from relief!!

hugs, katie

Victoria Harbour, ON

did I misread again Judy lol Habit of doing so..I thought Breenie had taken up sewing??
you did a wonderful job sewing, impressed ever more so that you did it, the young lady that was terrified of trying anything...now on to more designing for Breenie and sewing for you.

Katie what good news on handling what was concerning you and you being in less stress.
you use seaweed as we use mulch?

Beautiful gardens Betty!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I am working on a lap quilt fr the red white and blue swap, and I had the top all done. I had Todd hold it for a picture, and then I realized I put in one of the blue blocks wrong. So I had to take it apart, and get it fixed. Now it is all done but the binding. The mistake is the 2nd blue row, 3rd block from the left.

Very pretty Linda. Red, white, and blue, is that what RWB stands for in some of the earlier posts. I didn't want to ask, and all I could think of was Reserve Winners Bitch! Too much of dog shows, not enough of paying attention to everything else!
