Oh dear Betty, If it's not one thing it's five. Too sad that young man is on such a tear. Perhaps Greg needs to give him a time limit to clean up all his messes, bed and eggs, and maybe Greg needs to leave the house while he does. They both need a cooling off period. And yes indeed, Noah needs to learn respect and to accept his limits.
Right now they both have you between a rock and a hard place and neither one is going to listen to reason.

Best/Worse//What did I learn today?Chat with Friends old&new
life could be so easy if both would give an inch..not to be
perhaps Noah needs to be on his own
Kyle stays away from home because of the goings on, both Melanie and Greg also try to do the same, nothing seems to work..
I really thing Noah needs to be on something, but he won't take any meds dr gives him
I'd be putting them in his food
just hope he doesn't ask me to stay here as he's always done because I don't know what id say
If he comes to stay with you, I would put down ground rules, number 1 would be to get on your meds and stay on them, number 2 would be to show respect at all times, to everyone!
Sorry to hear he is acting out!
Not sure I'm up to taking him in...likely he'd not ask..maybe it all has to come to a head then all uphill from there..wishful thinking
finished my bag, all that remains is inserting pull cord and buttons
photo 1 is outer bag and in the photo on right is inside of bag
took 3 1/2 but I'd have to say 3 hrs as I made that side trip
having issues with rider..although I boosted it last weekend and it ran and started yesterday when I took a break it wouldn't start so I put booster again..will go and buy new battery tomorrow, here is hoping it will start so I can cut the grass in the backyard
just sick to my stomach, best I eat something
Where is Rita when you need her?? Lol. She always cooked a big breakfast on Sundays..guess it means I have to cook my own right?
Don't think it's my battery but maybe cables leading to the battery, think I will try and clean them this aft. Didn't take long to get the back done now for the trimming then I will get at it.
Am making headway
Went to the variety store next door to see if they now have a zinc so they can sell ice cream cones, not yet so I'll treat myself to a pre packaged cone once I'm done outside cores
Quiet here, guess all are enjoying the nice weather, what a gorgeous day, yes 2 in a row.
My heart is with you Betty. Hope things are quieting down for you....Sending prayers for both Noah and Greg for them to calm and stay that way.
Just came in, grass it cut, was tempted to get gas trimmer going but won't, all neighbors are out, some with company, some with LOUD music going so I'll be neighborly and won't trim.
Likely Greg that I might have overstepped so doubt I will get an update, have to wait for Mel.
Think it's ice cream time
Enjoy your ice cream!
What to say re Noah .. I would not let him stay Betty .. the stress would be incredible !
Not sure what the ticket is going to be for him to get off his high horse and come down into the REAL WORLD .. but, I do know he has LOTS of company up there .. I know folks whose kids are acting out (and grandkids) .. whole lotta heartache ..
Well .. as of now, I am no longer going to take the MTX .. I was 'this close' to having Gord take me to the emerg around 11pm last night .. again short of breath .. and, I took the 8 tabs over 4 hours .. I will call his office in the morning and advise them of my decision .. likely get an appt a few MONTHS away !!
I do see my family doc on June 5 ..
I worry as the MTX is supposedly protecting me by keeping the arthritis from getting worse .. whole hecuva a lotta good that'll do if I croak !!
Weather here is plain INTENSE!!! at present it is 93F .. AC has been on all day ..
Gord and Lorna are sitting out, but I just can't seem to deal with the humidity right now ..
PLUS, after 29 years of living here .. I got a TICK on me while sitting on the patio yesterday .. HUGE NO NO for me .. I H A T E bugs .. I even made up a little song about it and people who know me and the song always want me to sing it when the bugs come a biting LoL
Having steak and potatoes on the barbie and some corn on the cob .. also made a Caesar Salad .. I am SUPPOSED to be resting ! But, like Betty, I can't shut off me wee bean !!

"M", those are not good symptoms. I think I would have gone to the Er, to get the medical attention you need!
Enjoy your dinner, it sounds really god!
Sorry your plan B didn't work out as planned. Think you are making the right decision not taking those meds...got to be something else. I'm with LindaKay, might have been best while you were having a reaction to go to emerge.
You nd Ann have same problem, if there is a bug she will be bitten and the bite is something else.
That is extremely hot for your neck of the woods is it not? 75 right now, 35 humidity..had thought I'd turn on a/c but opted to open windows.
I ate enough at lunch then add in licorice and ice cream doubt I need to think about supper. Now yours sounds yummy!
hello - missed so much on this thread - I was on the last one........
Betty - re: my mom - they would not take her back at Thorvaldson's (intermediary care), because she was too frail. She's gone to a full-care home now, but doing well there. She stills says she wants to go "home" whether that means back with Stan, in her home of many years, or back to Thorvaldson's, we don't know. She still has all her faculties, so have no idea which "home", but aren't pressing for the knowledge. Figure she'll get to realize that this care home is to be where she calls "home" from now on.
Hey Susan, missed you as always. Go to the quilting forum and look at the quilts I saw at a show down here.
As long as Mum is happy and content Susan, that's all you can hope for ..
YES Betty, those temps are much higher than usual, DH is out watering the plants again as it's windy as well.
We were able to eat out on the patio ... actually not too bad as it's out of the sun a bit ..
Had fun watching, and, DUCKING, from the male Hummies .. there were 3 of them just having a field day .. how they can get through the chainlink fence holes is anyones best guess, why not just fly over ?
I missed a family get together .. 3 generations of Pipe Band drummers .. my cousin Don, his daughter Jodi and her son Cameron ...
This is the link from FBook .. it may work ?

Our grandson Austin is learning to play the pipes .. long process that!
Still feeling sob .. but, not as acute .. I'll live ^_^
Busy week ahead .. why oh why do I commit to so much stuff ??!!
Night night
~M~
Wow. That is very impressive. Nice job.
that music just somehow touches my soul !! thanks so very much for sharing. ^_^
Thanks so much for the link M. I just love pipes but they usually make me cry for some reason. I always will if they play "Amazing Grace".
Awesome "M"
Betty, it is obvious to me that Noah should be living with your mother. Don't know why you need me to figure these things out but I'm always happy to help. Just don't send either of them to Mexico!!!
I've had a strange week. Lots of pain. Overslept yesterday by four hours; woke up just in time to say goodbye to Tony. Very strange as I thought it was Sunday when he doesn't work here. He waited to be sure I was oriented before leaving.
I was able to help out the woman whose apt burned up by giving her brushes for her two dogs. She was super grateful as none of the stores here carry things like that. And one of her dogs is a chow!!
Dana gave Jennybear her summer haircut. I helped. She also called me over to her place to help groom a local dog. She does this as a service to local people. This dog was a cocker spaniel mix and it took hours to get it cleaned up.
That's the news from here,
hugs, katie
Loved the video "M". My Dad was a firefighter and the pipes are such an integral part of that life.....
Never hear them but that I think of him. He's been gone now for 52 years and the feelings don't change.
Thanks for the wonderful comments on the 'drumming' and pipes.
Seems my family has always been involved with them in some capacity .. 2 of my brothers were drummers, have several cousins who play the pipes, and, finers crossed DGS Austin will feep going so he will one day be a piper ^_^
Katie .. bless you for helping your neighbour groom the dogs, it's a BIG job for sure.
Hope you're feeling OK
Another extra warm day happening here .. AC ran until 1am !
Still feeling a bit cruddy .. but think I'll go to town with Lorna, she has to purchase a pair of steel toed shoes for work ..
Hope everyone has a HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY ^_^

~M~
Morning, wow another sunshine day in my neighborhood, will reach mid 80's, 54% humidity and a soft breeze..didn't sleep the best last night, actually I got up at midnight for a few hours and played in the craft room.
Katie, you must have exhausted yourself to be in such a heavy sleep. You are so lucky to have Tony checking up on you. hmmm what would happen if you were unwell, nobody that could let us know right? yikes, think of how we'd be fretting. Saw a photo of Sharon's driveway, I thought it was snow but nope, she brushed her American Eskimo dogs, couldn't believe how much hair
Bet Lorna is counting the days "M"...can see her smile from here.
trying to conjure up something for the back of the Patriotic quilt, here is hoping I get it on the frame today.
Tim who is at the house to do the grout just called, he said I purchased the wrong color, too dark so he would run into Home Depot and get the right color. Now I am sure I looked at the box, took down the name and found the right box, guess maybe I grabbed the wrong box
Drats..
Warm with some clouds, we may have a thunderstorm later.
2 of the politicians running in our Provincial election are here today. Both women, the fellow running for the Conservative party declined the invitation to debate! Lots of folks cheesed off about that.
Lorna got her steel toed shoes, quite pleased with them too.
We were quite the sight with me helping her on with the shoes. LOL
She's busy out cutting the lawns, I was determined to pot some pots, but NO plants, forgot to pick some up, always tomorrow.
Bummer re the grout Betty, could be the wrong colour inside the box?
Sitting outside with the doggies watching the hummingbirds flitting around.

Liberal candidate MPP Garfield Dunlop dropped in Friday late afternoon..he and I worked on area Parks and Recreation Committee, has done a fine job for our area but reservations re party leader.
Odd how some will debate, do the miles in speaking to someone from each house while other I think feel they got it in the bag and don't make any attempt.
As for steel toed work boots, luckily there are some quite lightweight..does she think they will be cause for concern?
It was Wynne and Horvath here .. watched it on the telly tonight, they sure do seem to be gunning for one another .. pretty evely matched ..
Lorna bought steel toed shoes .. needs to wear them as per the rules and regs ..
Once that one is on her left foot, there is NO moving it without some help ..
Ate outside again, 3rd night in a row, bugs aren't bad, yet ^_^
Nice to watch the flowers smiling and the trees blooming ..
Think I'll turn the air down and head for CASTLE :-)
~M~
How will she work with it then?? That will be quite the challenge for her. Is it this weekend her parents come to visit? Not much to pick from this election, big sigh!
Shaking my head, tile guy grouted, Jason who is working on vanity came for measurement and left, this is one long process. Maybe I need
Feels like rain, going to finish watchilng Castle then put lawn furniture cushions in the back shed then off to Foodland. Kitties are crying for their treats, forgot to get some when I was out picking up my sewing machine at repair shop..teach me for not making a list, now it's off the couch to run the roads, would wait till tomorrow but they are not happy so I'd better go.
Been sitting listening to the sounds of nature, soooo relaxing! Amazed black flies and skitters aren't here yet
Now let's see if the sound of eater features and critters can lullllll me into a good nights sleep
Night night
Morning everyone!
All your skitters and black flies are here Betty. You can't sit out at night even if you spray. Once the sun comes round the black flies disappear but come out again in late afternoon. The mosquitoes are the size of jumbo jets and are around 24/7.
Had 2 dizzy spells this last week. The one on Sat. came out of the blue and was a doozy.Still waiting for an apptment with an ENT. I went for so long without any signs of vertigo, for months actually so this really has me bummed.
LK I got so excited when I was watching GMA yesterday morning - they showed shots of your storm in Del Rio. Are you floating now?
Joyce I haven't forgot the recipe for the Pineapple Sausage, will DMail it to you today,
Diesel was 2 on Sat. He got his BD cake and presents on Sun when I was able to be more mobile. The pups are really sensitive to these bouts of vertigo and stick close to me and seem to know I can't be getting up and down to put them out.Makes ya wonder why they have the need to go outside so often on other days. They have me well trained. Duke's meds are making a huge difference in his behaviour. That is such a blessing!
Oh Katie you had me chuckling about not wanting Betty's mom and Noah come together to Mexico. My mam always used to say she would ship me off to some faraway place if I didn't behave better.
M wishing Lorna a fantastic first day back at work. I know she is excited to be getting back to work from what you have said. Loved the link.. Did your relatives play at the debate? I saw they were piped in. They have Highland Games in Embro which is near where I grew up. Mam and dad always went. Watching the pipers and drummers was always a highlight.
Between the bugs and my dizzies making headway in the yard and garden has stalled. I need to cut what little lawn I have today. So many of my perennials did not come back......... not sure what I will do about that.
Enjoy your day ladies!
Dianne
Oh my Dianne, do be careful .. vertigo is just so alarming .. never totally understood it until I HAD it for a half day !!
Lordie, I couldn't hardly get to the bathroom from the bed, felt as though the whole room was tunred on its side !
Belate BDay wishes for Diesel ^_^
Betty, we were mentioning the lack of bitting flies too .. I did have a tic on me on the weekend, AKKKKKKKKKKK ..
One of the Pipers was my cousin Tom .. he piped in Horwath and Wynne ...
Gorgeous day here, less warm ...
Off to fight about a phone bill with Rogers .. good thing I keep good records !!
~M~
Morning,
Gorgeous day here as well..keep them coming I say!!! lol
"M" I was on the telephone for 1/2 hr last night waiting for a Roger's associate..can you tell me if your bill is paid on exact same day each and every month, that the bill is $153.26 every month and you pay $160 every month how on earth do you owe $254.48??? mystery to me and mystery to them..just about ready to go back to Bell Canada grrrr
Dianne, sorry to hear you've got the dizzies again, BIL has vertigo and talk about not able to do anything..feel bad for him when he has these attacks .. nausea is overwhelming isn't it. Do you have the medical alert system that should you be outside and need help you can press button and they respond..if you don't have it maybe it should be considered..would hate to have you laying outside somewhere with nobody to help..is your friend who dropped in still with you???
Seems I've lost some shrubs but other than that garden is starting to take shape..hops vines around the arches are already taller than I (I know, that's not very tall right) and the Goats Beard, OMG they are over a foot high..growing in leaps and bounds.
Don't want to be mean but I sure like not having to fight mosquito's and black flies..those little suckers though are out late evening/early morning..could feel them when I was pulling weeds this morning.
Happy belated birthday to Diesel and so glad meds are just what Duke needed.
Didn't hear LindaKay was having bad weather, have to go look at the weather system
Have to go to post office today, there is a registered letter for me, wondering if it's my passport..applied Wednesday, could it possibly be it already???
Morning everyone!
Yes we have had bad weather here, lots of rain, but were not floating away! Most of the rain has been a nice slow rain, it soaks in and is so welcome. We had a tornado go about 8 miles south of us, but it is all ranch country, so no one was hurt!
Sure hoe you can get that vertigo under control, that is not fun at all! I hope you did not hurt yourself if you fell?
Glad you got the much desired rain Lindakay, gardens will prosper with it..too bad tornadoes would make a habit of landing in deserted areas, so many lives always lost. Keep meaning to ask, how is your dad and sister?
Girls at the house, placemat city it is. Lol
June is finishing a quilt she started decades ago, pat trying to help her out.
I found a new white twin flat sheet amongst the pkgs ant Muriel gave me so managed to put n 3 RWB blocks across center and am now ready to put on frame
We are going out to sit and have lunch outside..girls say the yard is so inviting why not
Jumping Up and Down waiving Hello!!
Whew We are back in business...Got my tabby back too. But, boohooing as it needs to be set back to factory settings! Not so sure when David can do that, he has to back up everything on the computer. Plus I need to get all my photo's off...almost 2 thounsand!! So I want to get a flash drive. lol said I miss my tabby, so I'll deal with pop thingies ( mini crashes ) and try not to use the camera! lol, now my phone is completely dead, pfffft...big heavy sigh, I used to be so good with technology when it first come around, now I am just so lost.
Any how, lots and lots to catch up on.
Oh Betty, so sorry to hear about all thats going on with Noah. I sure hope things get settled.
My goodness, That RWB blue quilt is really spectacular!! I love the fabrics too!..OMG, got a tiny story of the day for ya. Well, roflol have many but this one is actually right on time, rolling my eyeballs for a change.
So we went to the cottage 2 weeks ago. Kids went with and they/we got a ton of work done inside and out. Anyway, since they drove up separate, they went about their running and sightseeing while Steve and I went about ours. So we decided breakfast first, drove to Portage, our destination and ate. All these years and have never drove the back roads, always Straight to Menards from the highway. We take our seats and I rush to get the seat facing the windows. LOL. While waiting, we chatted and I watch the people out side and check store fronts. Welll, big smile, a sign starring at me sign that says Janome machines in the window!! Look up, sign Reads Sew and Vac!! Sewwww, lol I also read on the sidewalk sign Quilting fabric sale, ohhhh yes and yes, giant smile on my face.Great cute little place. giggle, giggle of courser had to go in. As soone as the bill came I went "to browse" I bought RED White and Blue and more giggling, I have a fat quarter quarter of the same as you!! the Striped one in your photo in the lower left side. hehehe, i was please to bring home a yard and 2 FQs, for less then $15.00. OMG sure wished i had more to spend, I could/ should have gone bonkers.
Anyway, Yikes Dianne, so sorry the vertigo is acting up. Awe glad to hear the meds are helping Duke sure hope this continues. Big bummer you've lost some of your perrenials. a horrible winter for everyone. pouting, i lost a Yucca, a small evergreen shrub and my biggest loss, my Beautiful Butterfly bush. I still have to get it dug out and figure out what to put there now, BUT!! Oh gosh, was worried about my Carol's Love. Decided to take a drastic approach and cut it way back, whew that provided beautiful healthy new growth. I am mighty anxious to see the blooms and if these will be even more pin striped!
ntttsa, i got go get warm, i freezing in this a/c!! tabby needs a serious charge.
Always thought and a daily prayer all each day, sure do miss you all.
Hey Judy, glad to see your back online! Glad you were able to take the back roads and find the fabric! Sorry to hear you lost your butterfly bush! What color was it?
I have a few here, but they never come back the next year.
Awe my gosh, Karen...have so enjoyed the photos of your great grands, so precious...As is your new lil puppy!
Barbara! Got to smile, so glad you have been getting out again. Bummer about Seans game, but glad you got to go to Madison's parade. So smiling at the memory of Julia's first Band Parade. I bet you and norm sure enjoyed watching her march and play!
Waiving Hiya Thunder, fantastic pieces! I just love your works.
LOL I still need to catch up on the threads, totally ok in my book, lol I'm tired of cleaning like mad!
yes, and now i am back and forth between houses. no wonder nothing gets completely done.
Well since our last Storm, i was with out a washer for 4 days! yep flooded, so while waiting for the Wash/Dry to dry out, went to the laundry mat, holy suds!! Took an entire day. But, oh gosh I wish i had their big machines!! Cost me 45.00 but not complaining considering I did a weeks worth for 4 people plus extra, lol just had to take advantage of the giant machines! And lol not coin operated! You put money on a card, wow...I was laughing that I had intention to buy the coin instead of robbing our change a good thing, cause the card machine only took bills.
M, OH gosh so glad Lorens liner is a good one! And i was was Ever so Happy to hear she will be working on the gardens at the Cemetary, good for her!
As for you, so glad you are able to get out and enjoy some weather. Sorry to hear about the medicines, yikes that is a lot.
Well, i know i saw photos, was it Karen and Grand daughter? For a wedding, anyway, i really loved the picture of you and she.
Ohhh, I actually finished 2 sewing projects! when phone has some life into it, ill share a picture...I pieced some fabric together and made Breenie a pair of shorts...lol it took forever, but glad i finished them.
Oh Betty, sure hope you get your tiles finished. hmmmm, might be another day though, after grout then come seal, another day to dry...you probably already know that. lol.
ok now toes are freezing, lol back outside for a few!
Hey Linda kay, so glad to be back too.
so pouting, our favorite color, Purple! think i have a pic on tabby or phone, so will post a pic, after they been charged...OMG, and even more exciting, A Bead store!! Only didn't find that until on the way home, so when Julia and i go up She and i will go and see and play, lol
LOL, I worked my behind off yesterday. Was so exhausted i fell asleep trying to watch this movie.
Lets see, Have any of you read the Series from V.C. Andrews back in the 80's ish could have been the seventies, idk. Anyway it was Flowers in the Attic, Petals in the Wind and 2 others. Anyway, They made a movie a while back, was very dissapointing, but this new remake breaks the entire series down, and very well done. At least i think.
ok really now toes are frozen!!
.
Well hello there stranger, so nice to see you post..with you on computer tech moving so quickly you can't keep up..so glad Jeff convinced me about the Apple iPad, said its more $$ but can't get hacked and few problems, sure has worked in my favor.
When I'm in Fort Myers I often drop in to Sew and Vac, interesting place to hang out.
did you go by motorcycle to cottage??
Know you and Steve enjoyed your ride here.
Tonight I will spray sealer on then that part is done
Thought of you often lately, I've got the girls all wound up to spend July 26th (all day) in Chicago..told them about fun things we did and now I get to redo them all over again. Lol
Go turn the heat up Judy. Lol
Having a problem with DG. Takes forever to come up if it does at all getting messages..."Memcache could not connect" what ever that means. Same message will scroll down for a couple pages then I MIGHT get connected or not. Gonna try a few more fixes to see if it will straighten out.
I had the same problem and it got corrected without my doing anything. kb
