Paint in the L/R is called "Basketry". I guess I'd call it a semi-dark khaki. The carpet is a tweed with brown, tan, you get the idea, several colors. Shouldn't show much dirt and it's rated for animals. I'm so ready for new!
I wish I was walking the garden, but don't like to do it in the rain!!
LK, don't give up on your plants yet. I'm finding a lot of things I thought whew gone finally showing signs of life. Everything here is really, really late coming up. I think they were afraid to come up any sooner! 😬
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends old&new
I will give them all another week, if no new growth, then out they go!
Yes, I'm sure you're much farther along than we are!!
I've done same, dug them up thinking they were dead only to find they wanted to sleep longer.
Joyce sounds like a nice color, you will have to take photo' when done
so want to paint this place, one day I'll get ambitious.
So wish I was successful with sunflowers..must be a trick to them
Did notice my everblooming lilac has a lot of greenery on it..it's so dainty and yet here it is doing its thing
That was just beautiful last year. Bill wished for an old fashioned lilac last year. So I got him one and planted it out by the barn. It was one of the first things to bounce to life this a Spring. It may be too young to bloom this year but at least it's alive!!
I'll take before and after pictures!!
Hi - I've had a slow week with a touch of stomach flu yesterday. Better today, especially since we went to town and got groceries and I got a package with two bottle of pain killer!! The last ones were taken by the Mexican postal people so I am hugely relieved. It's not that I can't live without them; it's that I can't do much but lie in bed reading or watching TV when I don't have them and that gets depressing.
My sunflowers are finishing up blooming. I need to plant more. Lots of work to do both indoor and outdoors. I did get some cleaning done the other day and will continue that endless task - sometime.
Marilynne, sure hope your snow melts quickly. Wish you could store some to send our way in August.
We are enjoying our best weather right now. Neither too hot nor too cold. Goldilocks weather. My plumarias are in bud, in town, where it is a little warmer they are blooming. A very pretty time of year here and, given our extreme summers, we are all enjoying it.
This year was my first big success with sunflowers - had a big double row of them. Also our first year of success with zuchinni, which we are still picking. I've been pulverizing some of it in my Vitamix and mixing it with the dogs' food. They leave and pieces big enough to identify but eat the rest with their chicken and rice mix.
Time to get to work.
hugs, katie
Sunflowers are so easy, just poke the seeds in the ground!

well girls, you can say 'just poke' but poking doesn't work in my neck of the woods.
Katie, sure wish you were able to post photo of your gardens..terrible for you to be living in such pain. Did Tony enjoy his day off at Easter? Bet I'd be ohhh'ing and ahhh'ing if I were to see your plumarias.
it's the old fashion lilac trees Joyce that form the secret garden, know they say if I cut them right down they'd come back but I won't take a chance..just keep planting lilacs and shrubs in front of them..think lilac and beebalm are my faborite scent in the gardens.
Well putting the little set together was a piece of cake, maybe because it's such a simple set..as the gazebo and back deck has a A+ set this set will have to do..will pick up a little iron/glass table for the chairs, put a few plants around, a rug, make it welcoming and it will be another job done
want to go outside but it's so cold, in fact I just put the furnace up and turned the fireplace in the basement on..of course if I got dressed rather than stay in p.j.'s I might not be as cold.
here is the cover for the metal swing..even put a skirt on it..lol
aren't these cute canvas patterns for the cushions..seeing I can't go out and play I'll sew some covers for existing pillows..be bright and cheery they will
here are about 10 waiting to be covered, more in the back shed
Hello ladies,
Enjoying catching up. Love the pictures and projects.
Overcast and rain expected here.

Oh my, now wouldn't that be something, you visiting for the day..that we have to talk about. Will Paul be on vacation or are you considering a weekend??? Now you've got my heart beating quicker than normal.
Karen, no..they were behind in their orders..believe it to be the 1st edition but could be wrong..
Debbie can you tell us a project or two then the girls will know if it's the 1st or 2nd edition??
anxious to do some of them..I've done so many of her pieces likely some I've done.
Pillows are saying thanks for the new look..almost done my 2nd in this fabric..likely have enough for 2 smaller ones in same fabric
OK it is a lime green on top....and says Ten Projects to welcome Spring, Make a Quilt that Feels like a Cloud Square up Blocks with Jenny and Three Fun Bonus Projects. Then says IDEA BOOK on the bottom. On front cover is quilt...lilacs and red rubber boots!!!

Debbie there is another box on the way to your place for Betty. It is for the frog swap. Let us know when it arrives please?
YAY .. the power is BACK ON after 5 hours without !
FOund out during that time, that we have NO MATCHES! No one smokes, but, we DO have a woodstove, DH ignites it with what I have dubbed a 'FLAMINVOOFER" LoL .. it's a German contraption , you squeeze the trigger and the flame comes out the end.. guess it's butane ..
Anyway, the power came on, so, no need to worry bout the stove as the gas furnace is working away to get back up to 67.
LOVE all the pics, colours are so pretty and bright .. ^_^
Katie, glad you got your meds and that your weather is pleasant ..
LindaK .. our Hummers show up here from Mid May on .. round about the 16th .. I always mark the calendar when they buzz past my head..
Debbie .. I go to the hygienist this Monday .. ick .. know how you feel ..
Best go turn down the heat, getting TOO warm in here !!
HUGS
~M~
Poor Debbie, will have to share something with her for sure..
Great friend to do this for me..
Ohhh, who had me in the frog swap LindaKay???? I know, it's a secret till it arrives!
Greg just called, on his way with the pump he picked up and here I'm still in jammies.
If I go sit upstairs on the lazy boy and tell him I'm just getting ready for a quiet evening he just might believe me lol
Pump out pond tomorrow now that he bought the pump for me.
ending my day, accomplished much
photo 1..last 2 years pillow covers-garbage time
photo 2.. recovered forms-ready to put outside once gazebo and café sets are out
still have fabric for 3 more..a couple of pillow forms were wet and moldy so garbage they are in..will go to Walmart first thing in the a.m. and pick up a few more and cover them then that's it for this year's cushions
ooops Greg just pulled in
beautiful pillows Betty!! I love the squiggle with green on the sides!!!
BOOO on the snow, and no power :(
Love those fabrics Betty.
No I am not your partner for the frog swap.
Glad your power is back on.
Yi, yi is right, now doesn't he look like the 'cats meow'. He will turn every girls eye!
hope you taught him to dance. Lol
Had a lesson on how to use the pump properly, kids, as though I've never emptied pnd befor (grin) told me to let him know when I'm dne with it and he will use it on his swimming pool tarp.
Raining, even too lazy to call next door for din/din so good old cpkraft dinner saves the day. Have to say I enjoy it.

Morning, 35f at the moment, cold and damp, not the best of days to be working outside!
Will find something warm to wear, take quick run into Midland for a few supplies then start emptying the pond...weather sure puts a damper on my work weekend.
Hooe it's sunshine in your neck of the woods
Morning! I'm about to get at it myself! Painting day for this household!
Betty, I was wondering about the twins as well. Hope all is well.
Here are a couple of Easter pix of the Texas grand kids.
Oops, hit send too soon!
Okay, gotta get my painting clothes on!
Have a great day, all!
Ahhhhhhhh, adorable kids Joyce..where in Texas are they? Guess you don't get to visit a whole lot?
At least your 'to do' day entails being inside, raining here so will be hard to get what I wanted to done...drats
You will be one tired girl tonight but you will love the new look.
Guess I will go finish last 3 pillows and hope by then I can at least get the pump in the pnd to empty.
Oh My one lucky little girl. All those big brothers to adore her.
Rain has stopped for a bit, will clean my mess in the craft room..used up all canvas fabric i bought..couples cushions look a little colorful and busy but they are pillows, many going on chairs in the far back of yard so not worried..I spent total of $50 for the canvas, ended up with the large rocker swing cover and 12 pillows..pleased with that.
will have cereal then into the pond I go
If I don't have sunshine then one of you must have it!
Trying to sunshine here but not much so far.
Must be the day to drain off stuff .. the massive amount of snow we got it melting FAST ..the sun is blazing here and the temps are creeping up into the low 40s, will likely be in the 50s this afternoon ..
Soooooooooo .. we have set up the 2 sump pumps to get rid of the melt.
Have a huge contingent of Starlings and Grackles outback right now, what a noise they can make, but, pretty to watch ..looks asa though they're talking to one another ..
Joyce! What gorgeous grands ..
The pillows are ALL beautiful Betty .. bright and, a GREAT deal !!
Feel kinda ikky .. took the chemo drug last night, spent an awful night, but, I will NOT miss this day.. out I go to do whatever, even if it means sitting on me butt watching the birdies LoL
Ooooooo .. DH and crew made it to their destination, had a text from him this morning, the show will be a sell out !! So, they're happy !!
Enjoy your Saturday everyone
~M~
glad they made it safely 'M'
will you have to take the chemo forever??? horrible that you feel so badly.
Birds are out and singing wonderful tunes so I vote you just sit and listen while they sing you a lullaby.
Came in for a pop, not much I can do while draining the ponds..just have to make sure I don't leave it unattended and you know me, get sidetracked easily so got the ladder out, gazebo top and see if I can't put it on myself that way I can get the pads out from under my bed and put them on the settee and chairs
have a winter jacket on but am working myself into a sweat but don't want to take it off incase I get chilled.
Betty, you don't need to lift that top by yourself, wait for some help!
Cloudy here today but still on the warm side. It is 76 right now, and humid.
Betty, how are the twins doing?
Does anyone have any mens ties they don't need anymore, I have a friend on Facebook that is collecting them.
too late, got it up lol even the lawn furniture in it, looks terrible at this time of year..earth everywhere, grass hasn't had time to set..hope it waits for two more weekends as I want to put patio slabs there so it's easier to maintain.
Came in for a sec, pump still going, thought it must be 3pm but not even 1:00 lol so out I go
promised I'd rake a few gardens if it stopped raining and it has so better not procrastinate.
twins are doing ok, darling little girl though is struggling. They were up on Sunday, Ann called for me to go over but I was in the middle of cooking and couldn't go.
I will get photo's from Ann this week..he's grown in leaps and bounds but Abby hasn't.
guess it will be a struggle for her
yuk I smell like swamp
Sun came out for a bit but temps have suddenly dropped, maybe it's just me tired.,
Accomplished more than I thought today..so hoping tomorrow it's warmer and I will finish off the ponds..so much work right Joyce.
Have a hot bath running, need to do my hair, going out for supper tonight, I so wish I could just go lay down.
Must tell you a funny story, put the canvas on top of gazebo, got it all done but for the life of me couldn't get the metal in the last socket as to keep it taunt. New neighbor next door had equipment to put a new culvert in..after they finished and were gabbing I asked if I could impose? If one or two of them could help me but a moment? They worked at it, they went to leave and said, get this, " anytime, if you see us outside just call, we have grandma's also so kow she has a hard time with some things". Lol. These guys aren't far off my boys ages, maybe late 30's. Guess I looked old and feeble
Raked 3 gardens, was time to call it a day when young Noah from up the street dropped in, 'got work for me?'. Music to my ears..he worked 1 1/2 hrs, good worker, gave him $30 and he was more than p,eased, as was I. I asked if he could come back tomorrow, says he will so here is hoping.
Glad to hear you have a worker Betty, just wish he would have shown up a few hours earlier! Better late than never I guess.
You got a lot done!
