Yes, I just heard about the killings in Calgary tonight, at our church's Lenten Study....... so sad, so tragic and so..............

My 2nd day of work tomorrow.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all,

Rained last night, little of the snow is visible, am sure the rest will melt today.

What do you all have planned for Easter weekend?

Mine will be quiet until Sunday when family arrives.
Excited to see Braedon as he got accepted into university of British Columbia..complete other end od Canada, he is thrilled..lordy he will only turn 17 this summer..his mom is already fretting and he hasn't even left.

Would so love to get the rest of the front raked and gardens cleaned but mother nature might not cooperate.

Contractor called Rita, entire house has been drywalled and tapped, ready for painting..she is away for easter, push for painting starts next week as they want to get the floors down and kitchen cupboards in..won't be long and she will move in..happy for her!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are smack in the middle of a BLIZZARD !
Snowplow just went by .. wind is blowing, dogs are SO HAPPY LoL .. ran out the back door at 7am and stopped in their tracks, then, DOVE into the snow on the lawns~
Wish I sould have been THAT happy about it.
Not going out 'full bore' to clean it up as the temps are elevating tomorrow and the sun will be out.
Sure not going out in this ..

Good luck with day 2 Susan ^_^

Have a good day Sunday Betty .. I can imagine your daughter in law would be woried about Braedon .. BC is a long ways away ..
Hope he likes it .
My niece teaches at Trinity University in Langley BC .. she's married now, so I'm thinking she and her hubby may be moving WITHIN BC .. love it there .. I liked visiting BC .. the Rockies are spectacular .. anyway, it was a 3-4 day trip driving from here ..

Karen I hope you have a better day ..

Katie, how's the tooth?

Betty, my Hospice client is 57, we get along well together ..

OK.. outta here ..

TOODLES

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Is the university in BC where Braedon wanted to go? I can imagine how his Mom is feeling about that!!! I find it hard to let them go even though it is a must do....I'm grateful that where Brandon wants to go is only a one-two days drive depending on who is driving!! LOL We think that would make a great road trip next spring.

SO SORRY to hear of your blizzard "M" - stay safe and warm inside and let the dogs play instead of you!!! It should melt fairly fast right?

Happy to hear the job is good Susan.

Today is Norm's b'day and we are going out to eat tonight. He has a craving for some grilled salmon and we know of a place that does it to perfection.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!

Susan, good luck at your 2nd day of work. Sounds like your fitting in very nicely!

"M", sorry to hear your having bad weather. Please be careful if you have to go out!

Happy Birthday Norm, hope you have a great day!

We were fortunate, all ours stayed in state to go to university, within 2 hours of home. One DGS went up here so I stayed with him the first year as freshmen aren't allowed to live off campus unless with a guardian. We had a fun year and the next he had a couple buddies stay here and I went back home.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Barb, tell Norm I'm blowing him hugs on this his special day..may his day be filled with nothing but sunshine.

yes, Braedon wanted B.C. think it had something to do with Business courses he wants. Not sure what he wants to follow but having honors makes it easy to get the University he wants..now let's see if Julie and Jeff let him move that far lol

"M" and here I was complaining this morning re weekend weather..be a good sport and don't send it my way, please, please!

Verona, ON

Happy Birthday Norm! Barb I am counting on you to give Norm a big birthday hug and kiss from me.

Chuckled about your DGS going to UBC Betty. I had wanted to go there, Dalhousie or Univ of Guelph. I promised my mam I would go to the first university that accepted me.U of G acceptance arrived first but I am not so sure my mam didn't have a hand in the order of when the acceptance letters were handed over to me.lol She was freaking out her baby might be miles away from her.I was only 16 when I went off to university. Majored in social life but what can I say, there were all these older kids who had a very bad influence on me - ya right!

Still having to canoe out or hike through the sugar bush. I put hip waders on yesterday and the water on the main lane is still about 36 in in the deepest spots. Pups and I have been walking or rather sloshing through the fields - they are having a blast. There are areas flooded that in all the years we have owned the farm I have never seen flooded. The beaver are having a hay day, wrecking havoc on the trees.

I'm with Betty M you keep that snow all to yourself..... please! At least this time of year it melts quickly although it is still quite chilly here this morning.

Hope you enjoy your second day or work as much as you did your first Susan.

Karen I am glad to read you are starting to feel a bit better.

Was supposed to go to a neighbour's ( from when we lived in the old farm house) for Easter Sunday dinner but not sure I will be able to get out. To be honest I probably could get there by walking but she is a terrible cook. Warren and I avoided meals at their place after our first one. She also likes to bake but 'forgets' on a regular basis to include some vital ingredient so often things tasted odd. Dogs liked her treats though.

LK are you traveling to the kids over the weekend?

Better go get something accomplished although I am still quite chilled from our walk earlier. All you can hear are sump pumps running 24/7. Those poor people!

Make sure you all do something nice for yourself today ladies.
Dianne

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Dianne, the kids are coming this way, they will be here Saturday and Sunday.

Sure hope your wet areas dry up soon, not fun having to put in wader o go outside!

Betty, how is your Nephew, the one that fell off the roof.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Still looks like we're living in a 'snow globe' here .. just shoveled, time #4, and, it'll be the LAST time as the temps are going up and the snow is so darned heavy !!
Lorna has been out on her Mule plowing ..
Just incredible today ....

LMAO Dianne .. bad cooks, oye, went to a firefighter friend of Gords on evening, had met his wife in passing, nice lady.
She made a pork roast with potatoes and carrots and turnip done around the roast .. WELL .. the veggies were edible, but, the roast was like shoe leather .. and I kept drinking wine to get it down .. and, half way through supper .. their big male tabby jumped smack up onto the table and into the pound of butter .. he gets shooed off, only to be chased by the 2 other cats who now want to lick the butter off of his tail !!!
I started to laugh, couldn't stop, and, luckily so did everyone else ..
She then cleared away the table, got out a plate of goodies she had gotten, and, YEP, you guessed it .. let our guard down, and PLOP, the big Tabby comes roaring back .
It's a night I won't forget, and we never did go back there for supper .. they came to our place for some 'bonfire nights' .. she was still apologizing ..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Norm ^_^
Salmon is a GREAT choice .. yummmmmmmmmmmm

Best get supper on the go, and feed the dogs ..

Victoria Harbour, ON

Now why did I think Bev's birthday was the other ay, had it marked on my calendar...see from the birthday listing they have it listed as today soooo just in case, saying Happy Birthday' again Bev..can never hear best wishes too often can you!

Was going out to clean a bit, pick up downed branches but wind is just a howling so I really feel the cold, don't want an ear ache..ahhhh not complaining though, would so hate to have your snow "M"

When is the last snowfall normally?

Just roaring at you and Dianne, omg, bad cooking, thought maybe you had eaten my cooking. Lol. I as well put a meal on the stove then find a zillion other things to do and forget I'm a cooking.

Debbie was right when she got me a sign saying 'if dinner tastes funny it's from the extinguisher". It about sums it up

LndaKay, Jason is progressing well, he will go home for Easter, his dad, Db Bernie jilt a ramp for the wheelchair, all goes well by fall he may be out of it. Think mom said that the company he just got the job with (left Apple for it) will let him do some work via computer.

Dianne, those beavers sure can do mega damage..do they scare off when dogs are out.

mulege, Mexico

By Tuesday night the tooth pain was pretty much gone. Then my left ankle which has been mildly swollen and sore since I crashed the ambulance decided to make itself known. All night. To the extent that I couldn't sleep except a couple of brief naps in spite of an extra pain pill. Scared me a lot as I am nowhere near able to go north at this time. But there is a doctor here that Maria the nurse recommends so I was thinking about seeing him. But by mid-morning yesterday the pain was back to its normal low level. Which is good but I'm exhausted from pain and fear. And, of course, now that there's hardly any pain anywhere I think I should be all better. Well, I'm not, so I'm going slow.

I did cook dinner for the dogs who are kind enough not to complain (or laugh) but the aren't digging in either. It's fish - not their favorite.

Yesterday, after my no-sleep night - I stumbled into the kitchen half awake and was started by someone moving by the microwave. I screamed before I realized it was Tony fixing breakfast for Chocolate the cat. Just what I needed after no sleep. Chocolate belongs to Dana and Tom but lives here and gets chicken or fish twice a day.

We went shopping today and I'm set til after Easter. The town is filled up with tourists.

I was able to have Tony take large bunches of two kinds of parsley - flat-leafed and curley- to our friend Saul for his store. It's not grown much here and the Americans like it so it's a little more money for him. And the 22 family members that his little store supports.

Our weather is heating up. No a/c yet but I have fans on.

All in all, I think the worst of my pain and depression are over at least for now. As I'm able I ride my exercise bike or do a little garden work. Trying to keep to the line between doing what I can to increase my endurance and overdoing.

I am feeling on the mend and am grateful.

Dianne, glad to see you back.

Susan, happy the new job looks good.

hugs, katie

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all,

Can you tell me why I've been up since just after 4a.m., on my 2nd cup of coffee and hot cross bun?? Should I be sleeping until noon?

Katie, omg, what a fright you must have had..tony had best yell out he is there even if it means waking you..bet your heart was just a racing! Would be a good thing to have a doctor that is close by, as you say, can't always get state side. You tried the dentist and liked him right?

Am sure the warm temps and sunshine are also brightening up you day..

How did Norm's birthday outing go Barb?

Thinking of Tubby this mornimg, believe it would have been his birthday, will have to go in search of a joke to I can have a chuckle for him. Wish Shirley would drop by for a chat.

Do miss our Mary..wonder how work is without witchypoo and how her new venture is faring..bet things go better now that warmer temps are here

Waving to all

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

We had a wonderful dinner with our daughter Stacy. It was just the three of us which I know I've told you does not happen very often. Our meal was superb - Norm and Stacy had salmon and I had lamb chops. After dinner a huge ice cream sundae came out and we only managed to eat about half - we were so full!!!! For appetizers we had fried asparagus and a mix of fried artichoke hearts, green beans and red peppers. We rolled home!!

Going to try to go shopping by myself today. Just to an A C Moore so no heavy bundles. I need some yarn for a project to take to the knitters meeting this afternoon. And then I'm going up to Hillsboro to watch Sean play baseball. May not stay for the whole game as it doesn't start until 4pm and when the sun goes down it takes any heat with it!!! I just cannot do the cold. But I think he will be happy that I made the effort.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone, your sure up early Betty!

Glad to hear you guys had a nice dinner Barb.

Happy Birthday Tubby!

Joke for Tubby.
We had just finished tucking our five kids into bed when three-year-old Billy began to wail. Turns out, he had accidentally swallowed a penny and was sure he was going to die. Desperate to calm him, my husband palmed a penny that he had in his pocket and pretended to pull it from Billy’s ear. Billy was delighted. In a flash, he snatched it from my husband’s hand, swallowed it, and demanded, “Do it again!”

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Hahahahaah .. great joke LindaK ^_^

Early up here as well .. Smokey started 'caterwalling' at 4:30am ..!!
NO WAY do I get up anymore to soothe him, as it is, he has food and water and light AND we leave the TV on music for him !!

Katie, SHUT UP .... I would have fainted as I screamed ..

Barb, dinner sounds yummy !! Glad you had a nice time.
Take care today, but, have fun too.

We're off to get a new leg for Lorna, it's made, just has to be fitted .. I'll take a before and after pic ..

Cool, but NO SNOW !!!!

Toodles

~M~

Victoria Harbour, ON

Lol, am sure Tubby is laughing up there..imagine will be 3 years at months end that he's gone and rarely a day I open this thread thinking a joke from him might be present. Thanks for the chuckle LindaKay.

Glad you enjoyed your outing Barb, meal sounds muth watering. Don't overdo today..hmmm is the club meeting on Good Friday? What project will you do.

Raining, had hoped to do some yard work but that is off..perhaps I can take down winter back deck closures and hooe at some point rain stops and I can get a few hurs of yard duty in.

mulege, Mexico

Slept well last night and I'm up early this morning.

Tony and I had a good laugh over my scare; almost worth the fright. I knew he was here; just hadn't realized he was in the house. It sure woke me up.

Will have coffee and see if I'm energetic enough to work a little in the garden.

Hope the day goes well for everyone.

hugs, katie

Victoria Harbour, ON

well, at least you can laugh about it. I so wish I could get out and play in the garden..rain/rain go away

Housework done, Rita away for the weekend and I'm finding it quiet!
Just got a call to invite me to my Aunt's 90th on May 10th..as it's Paul and Wilena's 40th I'll have to go from one location to the other..can't miss either.

"M" lets hope Lorna's leg is a better fit. You and I will be ready for bed by late afternoon.

Finished the last of the kits I cut and packaged while in Florida..now got to find a tote to put them into until I need one as a gift...so time to move on, think I'll get out my paints and work on something until the sun decides to show itself and I can start playing in the garden.

In the meantime, took out applesauce I made from my crab tree, see if I've ingredients to make Ruby's applesauce cake, freezes so well, less to do on Sunday. Would make my pies today but that would be a tad too soon..don't want to serve two day old pies..lol

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Beautiful totes! I especially like the blue/black ones.

It's in the high 60s here and I'm heading out the door to weed.

Good luck to Lorna!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Wish I could play in your garden Joyce! So damp the cold has gone right through me..put something on for eats, think I will take a hot bath, might help these old bones..brrrr. Dampness does me in!

Verona, ON

Sending best wishes and positive thoughts for Lorna. I am surprised the place is open today. Even our local Foodland is closed and will be again on Sun.When I worked there we vied to get the Sat. off too as it is the only time you could get 3 days off in a row all year.

For the very first time our dock has shifted. I heard this awful sound about 5 am and when I looked out the dock had shifted about 12 ft. It didn't help that one of the ropes that secure it snapped earlier this week. We have left our dock in all year long for years and never have had a problem. It is just a sign of how harsh this winter has been.

Duke got his first tick of the year yesterday. Guess he is going to be a tick magnet again this year. I got one this morning when I was bringing in wood. Sure hope this isn't a sign!!

Barb your dinner sounded wonderful. Lamb chops are 1 of my favs - especially on the BBQ. Wouldn't turn down the salmon or the appetizers either.

Was up with you Betty this morning. I am so glad it is getting lighter earlier in the mornings.I don't like to roam too far with the pups in the dark. What kind of pies are you making? Betcha it is 'yes' pie for everyone. Did some raking but there is still lots of ice under those leaves.

Katie I am so glad you have Tony there..... even if he does scare the dickens out of you on occasion. Years ago I clouted a friend of Warren's over the head with my bumber shoot early one morning. Ted stayed over after a long liquor filled poker evening and Warren didn't tell me. I was horrified at what I had done but it gave Ted many nights of story telling.

Had a catastrophe happen this afternoon - one of my wellies sprung a leak. Oh no!!!! Need to go cover the wood pile as it is starting to rain.

Later!
D

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Bill found a tick a couple days ago, too. Awful early here for ticks. 😞

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

DGD in TN has found them already too.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Oh Dianne, that means an awful lot of work ahead for you. We were lucky on the bay, seeing we were on the Trent Waterway just below Big Chute and above Georgian Bay lock they kept water flow at a minimum so we didn't have problems, but remember dad on Gergian Bay using some mighty fine words.

Big smile Dianne, sme yes pies, new ones that were said to be favorites, where do the come up with them..chocolate being a new one.

Sure would have been nice if we could have had it outside, will it ever be warm enought for such things?

Did ou not get all the rain we did today?

You would think ticks would be dormant, guess its been a long winter and they are hungry.

Was going to be so productive today but not..ended up watching a marathon 'deception' and fell asleep during part of it it's bed time, watch me not be tired.

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello To All ;

Wellies are boots right Dianne? Barb I thought about you this week as I am working with a quilting company on their advertising. How did it all turn out with the children totes you were making?

(HUGS) To all... I will try to pop back in. I decided to take "me" off the work schedule and so I can work when the "kids" call in sick.... this is the first week.

So of course we had one call in sick so I work tomorrow night. This is the first Friday night I have not closed (After a full day at the regular job) But I have a lot to do this weekend never realized payroll taxes were so high and then quarterly stuff I'm still learning in quickbooks so it makes me nervous to do.

Betty what are your trip plans for this year ? You are about to have some beautiful flowers for me.... I THANK YOU in advance.... will take pics when they bloom.

I miss you all.....witchy is gone. Her boss took another account away and we have had some talks but we'll see how it all goes.

Truly I am trying to figure out what my path is at this point. Can't quit...still have to pay mortgage and need insurance.

Hubs is trying to run the business (but I could do it better chuckle)

We are improving....daily averages: December $761, January $836, Feb $960, March $880 and April so far $995.

YUM Applesauce pie ! Dianne - what do you do for the ticks ? I remember the old nail polish trick....

HOPPY EASTER ALL !

HUGS
Mary

Victoria Harbour, ON

What a joy to wake up this morning and reading your post Mary..was worrying about you as I do when any of you go missing for some time.

Ohhh wonder which flowers will bloom, I'd so love having some of mine saying hello to you in your garden. Poor Lance, learning process for him as well..all I can you seeing those figure is that the business is growing, hip/hip/hurrah, might be slower than expected but there is growth and that is on the positive side.

When you say you all had an account taken away, is that because new mgr thought you were all overworked? You don't say a big 'change in office moral' but I hope that is an oversight and that you are enjoying going in now.

Mary, Option 1 was chosen, so included in Chicago,Branson,Dallas,Austin,San Antonio,Houston , 2 nights in New Orleans has been scheduled..girls wanted to be there for the Louie Armstrong Festival. Lol

Have you or Jean ever been?

Did rain during the night, daybreak, here is hoping its a better day weather wise than yesterday.

Need to go to town and buy chocolates for 14, ought to break the bank n that one!

Sketched out the 2 recipe pieces, so wanted to go mix genesis heat set paints (oils without the smell) but couldn't bring myself to do so, maybe today after pies are made.

Mom is coming this morning, that zaps so much energy out of me..she virtually drained me mentally on Thanksgiving, let's hope it doesn't become 'all about me' with crying, complaining and antics..a tear or so is fine and expected..don't I sound callous and uncaring?

Who else will be cooking today?

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

No Betty you are not callous and uncaring. She needs someone to say enough is enough now and again now that Jim is gone. Maybe by spending this time with you at your home, she will come to realize that life is not over yet. You keep her busy and interested and I would tell her that I was proud of her when she pulls up those big girl panties. She just needs some direction I think.
Mary I have stopped doing the coloring book totes. I made over 100 and now I am trying bags for walkers. I'm in the experimenting stage till I find a pattern I really like that is fairly easy and economical to make.
Went out shopping at Joanns by myself yesterday and it went well. I only go to stores that have carriages when I'm by myself as my portable 02 is heavy to carry. I got some yarn and some needles and some buttons. Big purchases right? LOL But I did it so I know now that I CAN just go if I want or need to. Then I drove up to Hillsboro to watch Sean play ball. He always amazes me..... I was totally wiped out by the time I got back home.
Easy day today. Some house cleaning and some sewing.
Hope today is a great one full of sunshine for everyone~~~~~~~

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Today will be beautiful here. Full of sunshine and mid 60s.

At 11 Sherry and Kathy are coming to pick me up. We're going to a garden tour and sale near Cincinnati. She has tons of Hellebores and sells them, too. She usually sells Hostas, too, but they aren't up very far now, so not sure what she'll have today. I'm not buying anything. I want new carpet and I need it NOW! We found what we wanted on Thursday. We were going to get a second price, but no one has called us back yet. We decided this morning that we'll just go with this first one. It's a big room and I don't think the price is bad for carpet, pad and installation.

Tomorrow we'll be going to son and DILs for ham. I wanted to take something but she said no. Works for me!! 😁

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

MERRY FLIPPN CHRISTMAS from Thunder Bay !!!
Woke u to a wall of snow falling, and, it will apparently do so all day !
Actually blizzard conditions out there.

DH arrived home last evening, scared the beejeebers outta me .. looked out the kitchen window to see what the dogs were carrying on about, and there he stands! Had to open and close my eyes to believe it LoL
He had a 'soso' time, had a head cold and tons of snow in WI.

I'm headed back to bed, the chemo day after YUCKS are with me ..

Turkey here tomorrow ..

Hello everyone!

Geeze I can't believe how long its been. I've been keeping myself pretty busy.
Computer belongs to the kids, both are taking English courses...Sooo, been working out in the yard and yippee been able to enjoy my cup o joe and watch the spring show.

Yesterday, I saw a Hawk!! OMG, it was pretty awesome to see right in my own neighbors yard.
...well, I hope I don't screw myself up by saying...Since the Gathering, I have cut way down on smoking, lol mostly just have to be doing something to take mind off it. Also, attempting another pair off shorts for Breenie. Did I tell you what that girl has done? And I did not hold my tongue on it either.
Yikes and yow, Dreadlocks!!!! She said I was the only person who hates it. I said well, SomeOne has to tell you the truth, midas well be your mom, lol She looks like something out of a cartoon, lol remember the troll dolls? good gawsh...LOL, Julia said I could just admire her hair, and i do now that she is all her natural color....ok gripe over.

Unfortunately Im still playing taxi...

In the meantime, We celebrated our 29 Wedding Anniversary! Steve was so sick, spent the entire day in bed, he desperately needed the rest...We did go to our Favorite Tuscany for dinner, He insisted, came home and both crashed on the couch/chair! While at dinner, we got word Cuz Julie's Best friend, had passed away. Patty was one off our Clients as well as friend too. She has undergone three surgeries and loads of Chemo over the past 10 years. She had that Stem cancer. But her incredible strength of Faith has enabled her to be here for her son, now 12, so we attended her wake, Julie is doing ok, she too has been a rock, with her every step of the way.

Petrie has taken flight! poor baby, yep right into the window! Think she was aiming for me, but thankfully she doesn't have enough height in her flight or speed to hurt herself bad. She has been talking a bit more too.

OMG, ticks already? Well i guess once they are warmed up they come alive. In January We had a Bee. Yep, bird was in full alert mode. I think it was in the wood pile in the Harport...
Oh, Im worried, still haven't seen our Chippy.

Yum with the pies. haha, Betty, make sure to post a sign they are real. Sure hope you and Mom have an enjoyable day...Today, kids will color Easter eggs, we got 3 dozen. We are going to Rockford at Joyce's new place. Bringing the Kiobassa (polish sausage..I dont know how to spell it!)

Barbara, so glad you went on an outing! Sounds like it was good for you. Hope Sean had a good game.
I've been making sure i get out too. even for just a ride somewhere other then here, for me I need to make sure I walk, so will be adding at least an hour. a Happy belated birthday to Norm!

Oh Betty, i enjoyed see the girls come for painting day!! Always so neat to see people get together to do work on something together. Thats one of things I really miss about working. Those recipe covers are so pretty!! And Betty, guess what? Sunshine 's Hubby Bill, gave me a router, actually 2, also a scroll saw and some tooth molding thing a mahoo, lol giving that to Dh with the big router...So, i have been on the hunt for router bits, holeee smollies, they are expensive....hahah can you guess what i'm asking for Mothers day? Bill was so cute when he asked what kind of tools i had, said he moved on to cars so if i could use them... How is Gregs arm?

Waiving Hiya Mary!! so good to see you post. Sounds like things are going well for the shop, very happy to hear that. Hope you didn't loose any of your plants with all the crazy weather.
I lost a Yucca and am holding my breath about the Japanese Maple...

Hey katie, sure glad to see you are pain free. Were you having a cold spell? I had lots of leg pain during really cold weather. Oh goodness, on the Tony startle..lol tell him to make some noise.

Wow Dianne, thats a bigg bummer about the dock! We had that happen with a flood about 4-5 years ago.
I hope you'll get help to get it righted again...So glad you all have been able to get longer walks. Sounds like a new pair of wellies are in order. oh gosh about the beaver building on your path! How in the world? can that even get removed? Had a beaver attempt many time to build under cat tail bundle...it must have dragged that thing back 3-4 times! Finally DH tied it to the boat and took up the river a couple of miles...Finally Beaver stayed put.

Need to go get coffee and begin work outside.

Sunshine, tell Sherry Hi for me! Hope you have fun, sounds like you are getting things done.

M, Sure hope Lorna's new leg is a great fit!

YO Bev!! Happy belated Birthday...Hope you can come say hi, think of you all the time!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to see you popping in Mary, and glad to hear your business is improving.

"M", sorry to hear about your bad weather.

Betty, when will you be in San Antonio? Make sure you give me heads up, as I would love to meet up with you all for lunch somewhere.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Wind is cool, just finishing pies then I will try to get a few hours of yard duty in.
Turkey will be cooked this aft so I can slice it, less work at lunch tomorrow. Thought I could prepare the. Pizza dip and just bake it tomorrow as its best hot. As you can see I'm trying to divide work in 2 days so it will not be as tiring.

Think I bought out all the chocolates in town..was a good girl, even bought mom one of those ag magazines..worry she will be upset because I, Mel and Julie have an Easter throw and not she!
Do try and have patience Barb, hanks for kind words.

As for yur Dh "M" think he better have his hunters gathering in the summer, even then you may have snow..ouch, slap me silly.

Smelling yummy here

Shhh made 2 pans of applesauce cake, might cut through one and snack..nobody but us would kow right?
Sounds like a wonderful day you've had Barb, must be freeing to be out all on your own.
Did I send you the pattern for the walker bag?? Hoping to have time this week to make a couple and send them off.

Joyce, one of these LNG weekends I'm coming to hang out with the 3 of you..someone has to keep you all nder control. Lol. Bet you are anxious to get your living room done..I've stuck to wood floors, seem less work and yet at times I think it shows the dirt more.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Think if plans stay as is it will be wednesday, July 30th.
Still a long time away but not!!

Rita's daughter works as General Manager for a hotel chain, she will check for one in her chain near 6th St in Austin, and near the Riverwalk in Austin.
Hotel Place D'Armes n New Orleans is already booked. Think we will book other as it gets closer..girls made me promise to precook swamp tour by airboat soon..they so enjoyed it.

Victoria Harbour, ON

"M" believe it or not there are little treasures (flowers) under that snow...have about 8 wheel barrels of leaves sitting waiting for me to tote to back yard ditch for composting..don't want to overdo so will do a bit at a time.

But flowers are coming

Mom is here, I tried to get her to read the magazine I bought her Unt she picks up a rake so inside I come, don't want her overdoing.

Two more pie fillings and pies are done..usually make so many but just made 5 and 2 cakes..will have to do.

Just put the bath on, did the last wheel barrel of leaves. (8) for what I raked..shaking my head , cleaned 3 1/2 gardens ..about 14 more to go. Lol. Depressing for sure.

I lost so much over the winter re my outside decorations, started to Unt things away in the fall, shoulders were so bad I quit for a bit then snow fell with a vengeance..secret garden table chairs..scrap
Glass table on garden patio,,top glass broke..scrap, few pieces of glass broke ..then one of the metal rocking duo seats, I didn't take cover off, either squirrels or mice ate it

soooo a shopping we will go..think I will set Unt a list tomorrow , tell them feel free to pick a piece you want to get me for Mother's day

Sounds as though you have a whole menagerie outside your door Judy. I've been enjoying seeing all the birds at front feeder. Now you get to decorate eggs.

Been trying to stay awake as the turkey comes out of the oven in half hour..got to stay away from the applesauce cake, think I ate half of one along with mom..best I ever made..will know what to do with all those crabapples next fall.

Took pain meds for back/ arm, not doing anything sorry to say..maybe another is in order!

Goal tomorrow morning is decorate the craftroom, set table for everyone..will arrange each place setting with chocolates then I can enjoy the day..only rolls/ham and potatoes to do besides warm up turkey/dressing.

Will be nice having family here..
