No, I haven't looked into palliative care for Darwin yet. Maybe that will be one of my jobs next week. I gave him a nice meal of chicken, mashed potatoes & corn last night and although he complained some he did eat it all. If he would eat like that every day he would get stronger and maybe gain some weight. A gal in Ca. gardening said someone suggested Carnation Instant Breakfast with whole milk, just like Boost, for cancer people. So, put that on my grocery list. Also though of the protein powder to add to his milk. We will see how that works.
Going to a book sale at the library today. I don't need any books that's for sure. Just finished a book by Tami Hoag so I'll look for some more of her paperbacks. Have to take some books back anyway so might as well check out what they have. Going to be another sunny day.
Sweet Interruptions Rm. 283
Bought more roses today, and more what nots for my porch. It is 80 here right now. My back is killing me from all the planting I did yesterday. I evenl planted. Some planters for my favorite neighbor.
Cookie, your family has some mighty strange imagination!! Your poor grandaughter will have problems when courting time comes! Lol. cute picture, should be Bill's FB coverphoto!
Ronna, what happen when family gets too small to do clean up every three months on that long stretch of hwy? That's news to me, hwy dedicated to families. I heard of private roads, or country roads.
Enjoy your Sunday, rest Ronna.
You too Sis Kathy. You have a kind heart, but your body can't endure all that brutal gardening work. Remember you're not in your twenties.
Sue, don't overdo it like our Sis Kathy here. Seiously, you may not be overweight, but being too tall can also cause some back issues ;)
Hurray for Darwin's appetite returning some. Eat more brother Darwin!
I used to read Tami Hoag years ago, Pegi. Maybe one day, I'll pick it up again.
Got 2 books from eBay, both totalling under 10 bucks from different sellers. I'm in heaven as I've been wanting to read Jhumpa Lahiri's "Unaccustomed Earth" and "The Namesake". Can't beat that.. just going to the bookstore with the gas price so high, I'll be spending 10 on gas!! Then the price of new paperbacks now are just too ridiculous.
Marion, did you bring along your Kindle?
The heat got to me today, and next week the temps will stay around 70.
SisJaye,I am resting now.Took my truck to be serviced today. They charged me 789.00. I almost dropped dead, and poor Michael, thought he was gonna loose his cool, but he didn't.
What did they do to your truck for that kind of money?
Ouch, that's like a major repair!
Tuned it up, wires, plugs, flushed cooling system, cleaned rails, rotated my tires, and checked my brakes.
Still ouch, sis.
359 dollars was labor. At least I won't break down. Thankfully I didn't need brakes
Ouch on labor. Did you have that done at the dealer's?
Yep,I took it to the chevydealer. That's why so.much
That's it!!! As long as its under warranty, I think that's the stipulation, got to be serviced at the dealer
The same applied to the business Chevy too until its warranty is over. But, Kel's dad did it only for the first year as the Chevy turned out to be a lemon, needing repairs! They had to honor the warranty without that small print!
MIL just got a brand new GMC Terrain. I'm thinking ouch, since she'd have to service hers at the GMC dealer too.
Jaye, always have my NOOK with me as well as my little Acer computer. Add to this the wonderful bag that Betty sent to me from the last R,W and B swap full of the yarns for the afghans the Gds requested. Have used up all the yarn skiens so Kim will be bringing more this weekend. Call it my "sanity" bags.
The highwY was a mess too. Ususally the first lf the year is.over ten bags. The weather was so wonderful. My dad and I had a nice talk tho.
Yes yikes on the car service. I am so fortunate, my little brother is a certified michanic. He is so good to the family never charges us any labor. We just have to pay for our parts.
just popped in for a moment.
Thanks for the congrats on my new job - I'm excited :-)
Lucky you girls! My clematis is just starting to leaf out. I guess I'm glad of that, cause they're calling for frost, freeze and snow on Tuesday night! Aaagghhh!
Mine are still hiding.
Don't know it's name. Two friends of mine sent it to me last year with a couple of others!
Mine have not even started to emerge yet. Nice to see them on here tho. Very pretty. Clematis are so elegant I think any way love the flowers. I sent for a new kne for audaubon workshop should be here thi week some time. Can not remmeber the name or color. Rofl. I am so bad about that. Also will have a couple new bleeding hearts soon from, brecks. Love, love those.
We got a lot done today. We had to file a claim on our hoise insurance for some damage that the ice did on our back porch. My hubby got all the old dry wall down and now we just got see what to do next. Thanks to my dad who knows all this.
What's a kne?
Morning Cookie, I am here, bringing hot coffee and english muffins!
Love that picture too! What is her name?
me beez right here. I just woke up
I'm here........waving weakly. Just back home from the hospital, got admitted last Friday with severe dehydration from latest crud.
hope you get well quickly. sorry to hear you were n the hospital
Oh no, Karen! Hope you're feeling better now.
I just had Chinese, so I'll pass on the muffin! Sounds yummy though!
Thanks, LK! Her name is Anna Grace Alease. Her maternal great grandmother was named Anna Lease. Cute, huh?
Thank you, I do feel better.
raining hard here. expecting 3-5 inches, and sever weather before it's over. went to hospital yeaterday with chest pains, 6 hours they said they were admitting me, and hour later they said I could go home. why didn't they say that before Michael signed the admitting paper?
sissy, she is sweet!
She is just adorable, I love when old family names are reused. My newest great is Rebecca Grace Annenamed for her grandmother, my daughter, Rebecca Anne who in turn was named for my great grandmother Rebecca Anne who I grew up very close to. The Grace is on her daddies side.
That little girl is adorable! Cute little faces they make, I'm sure she keeps everyone smiling.
Doctor thought DH was anemic, but ended up he was so weak from dehydration. His blood was fine, but get him to drink liquids is hard now. He doesn't want anything and he may end up in emergency again. I'm not doing a good job as caretaker, guess I should have been a nurse. I just don't want to end up resenting all I have to do for him. "Trust in the Lord with all your strength".....must keep reminding myself of that.
Went to fat dr. I lst 4 pounds since Thursday!
