Another night of explosive coughs. I'm sure Kel's chest is sore, wish I have some codeine for him. If his condition is still the same by 7, off to the doctor he'll go.
Pegi, let's hope there won't be another earthquake, and if there's one, let it be a lower than 3 on the Richter scale.
Sistah Judy!! You still look so good!! That smile of yours.. so contagious. I'm disappointed that another year will go by, and I won't get to see you my sistahs.
Karen, do hope you get rid of that bug fast. Especially when you have COPD. I know you're looking forward to Tn, poor you. There's always another gathering, for that matter.
Your DH must be speechless!! Will look into your FB page later.
LK, how is your dad doing? I hope his infection has subside.
Marion, are you getting enough sleep, rest? We worry about you too, not only Sue.
I'll catch you all later.. Kel's still coughing away.. gonna try to convince that man to take some JD!
Carry on sistahs.
Sweet Interruptions Rm. 283
hope you and kell feel btter. leaving tomorrow, yippee!
got sun burned yesterday planting fig trees and flowers.
started a rose garden too
Kathy, make sure you give hugs to all from us please? And don't forget the camera!
Jaye, I sure hope your calling the Dr. this morning?
will give lots of hugs, and take lots of picture.
My heart is sad that I have had to cancel going to the gathering but it breaks thinking about Jaye not getting to go. Sending tons of hugs for all.
I am getting enough sleep...fitful at times but sleep. I don't know if it is because it is the weekend or what but it was another rough one. Thoughts of "ending it all" back in the conversation. Thankfully we see the therapist tomorrow. There are times I think I might be able to see a date I can return home to take care of some things then days like yesterday happen...oh well, what will be, will be.
Love you all!
Sorry for the setback Marion! Have you considered calling SPCA to get the kitties removed? maybe have it done while you two are at the Dr.'s? I know she will probably have a fit, but it needs to be done? Maybe a few at a time?
LK, that seriously would not help. They are her security blanket and even the therapist says for now, she needs that comfort and security.
We've had a couple aftershocks from the earthquake, usually they are small and we don't feel them. I guess there was damage in some places and not too far from us either. All depends where the epicenter is and there are many of them around. Few years ago glass shelf in curio cabinet broke and a couple of my precious moments. I double taped the glass shelves to the little pegs that hold them up and now they aren't moving.
DH & I are coughing and have lots of phlegm and I know he won't drink anything hot, especially any tea. I'm the tea drinker around here.
Hope everyone who is going to the "party" has a terrific time. I'll be waiting with the other ladies for lots of pictures. Have Fun!!!!
I can borrow the Patterson books from the library for my Kindle, never read any of his books yet. Next time I get into the borrowing modes I'll put them on my list. Usually most digital books have to be put on hold, guess there are many readers out there waiting too.
Kel slept for a good 6 hours, and he says he can hear himself talk. Called up the doctor just now and walk ins aren't encouraged today. Guess there are more crud victims!
For now, he's not putting any ice in his glass! His chest and back, plastered with Vicks. Sistahs, I told him that's what 102 smells like :D
Oh Marion, please don't fret. Things happened for a reason. Even if you get to go, Kel won't still be able to drive me to our meeting point.
If you are my only biological sister, I sure won't want you to leave me, when is all is dark and bleak.
LK, how is your dad?
Sis Kathy, will you be bringing a fried turkey?
Pegi, Kel's coughs are finally productive. I find that drinking hot tea really help with the congestions.
Perhaps, if you have a flat screen tv mounted on the wall, you could try to make it more secure in case of a stronger earthquake.. touch wood!! Just a thought!
I'm rereading some classics. Lately, I've been starved for some good old literature!
Dad is doing good, Dr. Say's his foot is healing slowly!
Keep that vicks up Jaye, even on his feet! it will help!
Linda those are so adorable!!! I need to learn some craft. I did make fairy houses this winter. Thats kind of crafty. Lol. It was so fun too. Jaye sure hope Kel is feeling better. Man so much sickness. Knock on wood. Sorry for you all.
So glad your dads foot is healing. Answer to prayers.
Pegi the earthquake was all over the news around here. Wow lots of cracks and bumps huh? How close are you all to the center of it?
Have the front door open for the first time in months. Yeah, wish the sun was out. But we can not have everything. Just happy it is 62 today.
Would love to see you fairy homes!
Marion sorry to hear the set back. Gld your getting sleep
LK those are so cute ! i love peeps , i love the chocolate ones yummy
Jaye sorry to hear your both still coughing. My parents have the same cough. My dad 's bike got stolen ! and he had is little buggy on it. :( he goes to the grocery and puts the grocery in his buggy. a 500.00 buggy. yes its a pretty fancy one. The ones you put kids in behind a bike. He used to put the dogs in it LOL but wth his age just grocerys.

Sue, have your dad post notices around town. Quite often stolen bikes are just taken to have a ride to a place and then abandoned. Cart might have been removed and left somewhere else. I admit it's a long shot, but you never know just might get them back.
Those stuffed bunnies are cute, LK! You're so creative. Good to know that your dad's foot is recovering. Hope that's the cause of his depression.. all that worries.
Yes Ronna, share with us pics of your fairy homes. I've been looking around at thrift stores for anything I could use for a miniature garden.
Karen, I'm still bummed that you have a cold and had to miss out on the gathering. But you're right, better to stay behind than be responsible for more sick ladies.
I hope the bike's found Sue. Please tell us that tho' his bike is gone, he can still drive for groceries.
Since we can't savor the goodies, what did you make Sue? Your pickles are to die for!
70 here, and indoors for me. Not willing to chance with allergies as I'm just at the tail end of a cold. Kel's doing a tad better. He said that he'd be returning to work tomorrow and Thursday, and can have the weekend off. LK, he says no to Vicks on his feet :D
Put the vicks on his feet when he is sleeping! ^_^ Get better soon Jaye!
Hello all, we are doing good here in the cold state of Michigan. So windy toady. Got to work in the yard yesterday cut down all my vines clematis and silver lace vine. I will try and snap some pics for you all to see the fairy houses.
To bad drop box does not work for you. It is very easy to use.
Jaye hope you and the hubby are getting better.
You also Linda! Funny, putting vicks on the feet? Never heard of it.
Yes thats way sad about the bike being stolen. Why do peeps have to be so mean?
Oh Sue those all sound very yummy !!!!!
Is Charleen around?
Susan, I see Charleen on facebook a lot. I was wondering if she forgot about all of us.
That darn cough is showing up all over the states. DH has a cough and lots of phlegm and now I've got it, been coughing for a long time, and a sore throat seems to go with it. He isn't doing well, is so weak and won't eat anything. Will drink Ensure and asks for a dish of ice cream. Had me cancel his oncologist and chemo appointments and on Friday he is suppose to see our primary doctor. Don't know if he will make that one or not. I'm getting frustrated that he won't try to eat even have some chicken broth. He does manage to take all his medications that he takes every day. Don't want to see him back in the hospital.
Now that I downloaded Microsoft Word I'm trying to figure out how to use it. Now I'm getting some messages saying some programs have capability problems. Guess the Geek Squad will be hearing from me again. Even was going to download Firefox and that message popped up. Don't know if I should ignore messages like that or not.
Pegi, if he is not feeling well, missing Dr.'s appointments is not good! Make him go!
Hey Susan, I have not seen Charleen on here in a long time, she is on Facebook!
Morning everyone! 74 already, supposed to reach 92 today! I think summer is here!
Mornin'..guess it is still morning. A wee bit on the groggy side but functioning, plus my coffee hasn't "kicked" in full force just yet.
Pegi, so sorry to hear Darwin isn't feeling..a cold in addition to everything else is so hard on them and you. Please remember to take care of yourself now!! I can only say try not to worry he doesn't feel like eating....he will when he is hungry. I know that is so hard to do as we are raised to believe that as wives/caregivers, etc. that eating keeps you healthy. Trust me, that was an extremely hard thing for me to do...back away when Ross just didn't feel like eating. He would make up for it later.
Hope everyone is doing well. Thinking off you Sue and what a wonderful package you sent to the group. Just hate things were so I couldn't attend this year.....looking forward to next year.
After several nights of no sleep, I was finally instructed to take Sue to the ER. I explained what was happening and they gave her a shot of super, duper anti anxiety, muscle relaxant. She SLEPT. She has been given enough stronger meds to get her through until we go to the psychiatrist tomorrow.
Man I could taste that pickled beets, Sue! Perhaps you could start an online pickle business?
Susan, if you got a pm from Charleen with "LOL" and a zip file attached, it's a virus. I had tried opening it, but my anti viral program won't let me. There's no way to delete that particular message.. I followed FB instructions, and all I can do is to report it as spam. Poor Charleen has been hacked before. I think she's open to more vile hackers as she has thousands of members in her Container Gardening group. She wouldn't know which one has malware :(
Did you get such a PM from Charleen, LK? I had posted warnings on my FB page, and it seems there were a few that did.
Synda posted the same warning on hers too.
My heart dropped reading that Darwin has lost his appetite. Maybe later he'd feel like a hot bowl of soup.. try enticing him with a potato and cheese soup. Fiber and nutritions.
Will say prayers that he and you Pegi will be over this nasty bout of cold. Sorry that Darwin doesn't drink hot teas... he'd heal faster.. ask Kel.
Thanks Ronna. Talking of Kel, he's finally seeing some daylight. And just in time for work tonight. Begged him to take another day off, but like a kid that wants a perfect attendance record, he's hoping he can make up for the absences by working this weekend, which is supposed to be his usual off days.
I know parts of you wanna put Sue's head in a tight grip, and shake some sense into her, Marion. But depression is an illness that only Lord and qualified psychiatrists can help.
You're the only support she has, thank God for that.
Wish one of us be there to help you, at least bring some much needed laughter to relieve some tension. Oh wait.... FB can do that.
May tomorrow's visit produce good results for your sister.
Jaye, I did not get the message from Charleen, but I passed it on when you posted it! Sure hope it did not ruin her computer again!
Marion, still sending thoughts and prayers for you and Sue!
Good LK. Maybe she needs 2 virus protection programs, where one will pick up if the other don't.
I use the free version of Avast, and so far I have had no problems!
I got a lot of messages from people I know, but when I ran my mouse over their names I get a very weird address so I just put it in my spam folder. Geek Squad told me that you can only run one security on computer, I got Webroot when I got my new one. I had Norton and when I talked to them they refunded my money. I have to wait until my credit card statement comes to see if I did get credit for it. I guess I got scammed buying a cleaner called Advance System Protection. It only cleaned out some of my registery then wanted me to buy the full version. They give you a license key and everything so it really looks like a good thing.
The receptionist at the oncologist talked to doctor and he said that was OK to miss this chemo, but be sure to make the next one. Has an appointment on Friday with primary doctor and I hope he is feeling better. This is the one who put him in the hospital when his heart and pulse was racing. DH plans on making this appointment.
Hope the ladies are having fun in TN.
Pegi, your poor guy. Must be so hard going thru all this. My heart goes out to him. Sounds like all are kinda on the mend.
We are excited around here! It looks like spring maybe here. It is 60 right. Rain and sleet on thurzday and rain all day on friday. Kindas
ringish huh? Really want some nice weather to stay here. Sorry Linda really can do with out the 90s. Just want itto be low 70.
Low 70's sounds nice. We finally turned on the A C today.
It did rain a little last night, cool and windy today. By the end of the week it is supposed to be very warm. The 70's sound great to me.
It's hot and the bedroom a/c decide to die.
Turn on the fans!
