Love the pictures!
Katie, so glad you're feeling a bit better. Hang in there, Girl!
Got room for me, Betty? I want to go!
M! Guess I won't complain about the sunburn I got today! Yay for Lorna!
Best/Worse/What did I Learn Today?Welcome Friends old/new
Eats are done with, had my bath and trying to stay awake for an hour or so but am losing ground.
While we were doing tote bags Rita went outside and raked..youdd be amazed at just how much green growth was. Under the leaves, imagine, area was covered in snow just days ago! Listened to weather, how could we possibly get snow in the a.m.?? Is foggy right now
"M"' you and I are both blessed to have Rita and Lorna..
Like you both, am anxious to get the raking done ..
Do amputees usually need replacements this soon after getting arm/leg?
LindaKay, sounds as though you got what you need to take on several projects, always nice..was it not your dr's appt? How about your dad?
It's Vev's birthday tomorrow, sure do miss her.
Nodding, so might as well stop fighting it.
Marion, this must be extremely difficult on you
Dr. appointment was for a steroid injection in the hip. Right now the hip is sore but hoping the meds kick in, in a few says.
Dad is doing much better. His toe is healing up pretty good.
Morning all,
Happy Birthday Bev..so hooe you can drop in today for a hug, that things are improving and you will have a sunshine day..sending hugs
Jean, waving hello, here's hoping you are well and getting to spend time in your garden..speaking of gardens, cannot believe to plants/shrubs up in one of the front gardens.
Very mild out, how could they possibly say 'possible flurries?? Warning is on for heavy rain?
Saw on news that Dianne's region a lot of flooding is going on, hope it's not affecting her and that she and furries are enjoying being outside once again.
Sniffling and hacking..sure wish it would leave..but if that is all that I ended up with this winter that is good..
LindaKay, hope meds help, Linda was here yesterday, she can hardly move for pain in her knee, apparently there is a new gel out there they. Insert,Moshe gets hers injected in a few week, cortisone no longer works.
Well, did the floors (furries sure can drag in mud on their little paws) seeing I have more red/white/blackl fabric cut out for another bag just might finish it today should it decide to rain.
Sharing the coughing and nose blowing Betty, but, as you say, if this is all I get this winter, I'm good with that ..
Whooda thunk that raking brown grass' would make 'green grass' appear! But it did!
The 'Pig Squeak' (Bergenia) is greening up .. have about 4 clumps of it in the east garden, dangdest thing is, the leafing parts of the plant flourish, but, we rarely get a flower ?
Someone has some along their sidewalk in the city, and, it is GORGEOUS !!
LindaK sure hope the injection works for you ..
Good luck to Susan with her new job ^_^
Off to town ... Lorna has to get plates for her new trailer before they install it.
Re her leg .. the one she has on now is not her 'new leg', that leg is still being made, she has it fit on Apr. 18th
The process for this is unreal, and, in truth, I think VERY slow .. I HATE seeing the YouTube videos where someone has their leg amputated and they show them up strutting around in 3 months time .. that just does NOT happen .. swollen tissue takes months to shrink, and, the stump itself has to be wrapped so as to shape it, again, months and months ..
Lorna soldiers on ...
Windy here, the chimes have been clanking most of the night .. kind of afraid to look at the weather ..
Take care everyone
TOODLES

Morning everyone! Windy here today as well, only supposed to reach 72 and drop to 40 tonight. That is cool for us, but I am not complaining, as we know it will be back up to the 90's in a few days!
Betty, are you working from home today?
"M", be careful in that mud, we don't need you slipping and falling!
Happy Birthday BEV! Hoe you have a great day!
Anyone heard from Thea?
Betty, I d-mailed with Dianne this morning, she can't get out of her lane, the road has been flooded for days.
We have 70+ here today....and tonight wind and snow is moving in. It has to stop soon!!!
I have windows open right now to enjoy it.....but the cats have overtaken the windows!!
No surprise.
Happy Birthday Bev, we sure do miss you!!
Debbie
Snowing here right now. So much for our spring.
Finally back home and glad of it. Hubby took me to ER on Fri with severe dehydration. Took them 14 stabs to get three lines in me, loved that part of it. Got my self way too low in electrolytes, potassium and magnesium and a few other goodies.Trying hard to keep drinking but it's not easy.
OMG Karen. Thank heaven this was caught ! Glad you are home and sending a gentle reminder for you to go drink something!!!
I "talked" with Thea through email about three weeks ago. She is well. They had a flood in the basement but it didn't turn out to be too serious. She is really busy with teaching quilting now. She does it two - three times a week and it is really the making of her. She is so animated about it and is having a great time.
Happy Birthday Bev!!!! Miss you.

Keeping a glass of something beside me all the time Barb. Have a problem with just plain water though, it actually dried out my mouth so I couldn't even talk. I did spend all the time in hospital chewing ice chips, as soon as I got low, I'd ask for more. I love juices but because of sugar, can't have them. Don't like coffee but I do tea, Maybe I'll try making iced tea, I like it plain feels more refreshing to me.
Be careful with the tea...it is a diuretic. I get crystal light flavors....and just use a little bit to flavor my water, helps me gag it down.
I've been using Propel powder but it just hits me a bit wrong right now. My taster seems all wonky. I guess it's from totally losing my appetite last week.
Lordy/lordy, sky is blacker than black, winds are high, think we'll be in for a bad one.
How can it be 20C and -1 tomorrow, freezing rain and snow the next. Much the same weather as you Debbie..listen to rumbling in the sky!!!
Brought my Janome 9000 to the fabric shop, I'll be mega sad if they can't fix it..have two other wonderful machines but they are not my machine of choice..the Janome is 21 years old, up to yesterday it worked perfect..think mainframe is gone, wearing a frown!
Then off to the Garden Center where I buy my metal art, always buy a large piece each year..drats he's closed and no longer in business, now I'm really sad lol
As for in the office, am trying to do very little there and see how I enjoy semi-retirement..working so far.
Sorry Karen you aren't feeling well, drats, sure hope you gain strength for Easter long weekend..are kids scheduled to come visit!
Debbie, thanks for the update on Dianne, wondered if she had flooding in her region. Worry about all the rain they are calling for tomorrow. What is your Easter weekend plans?
Barb thanks for info on Thea, she'd be a great teacher, hmmm, maybe one day I'll try to teach youth, that would be my dream.
Karen .. being diabetic and being 'off' your diet is such a hassle ... your blood sugars must be boppin all over ..
There's stuff available for children .. pedialyte .. helps keep things (electrolytes) in balance, I think it must be OK tasting ..
The Crystal Light is a great suggestion .. just hope you can manage to tolerate something, even broth.
Betty .. last valliant attempt from winter to try and tick us off .. there's snow all around us .. and we're just waiting which way it's going to go ..
Saw a pic in our paper showing horrible flooding in Belleville .. that's close to Dianne n'est ce pas'?
LOL .. a friend dropped over .. she's french .. she speaks English, but, sometimes she forgets and out comes the French .. luckily I can understand it and speak it if I absolutely HAVE to ..
Had the power shower .. almost time to feed the dogs, then make supper ..

Same here "M"just waiting to see which way the wnd will blow..
Am sure Dianne is overwhelmed, been way too many months she has been housebound.
Nice seeing the French, haven't kept up a conversation since roger was alive..pretty well all he some in the house.
Didn't do much today so am wondering why I'm so tired...guess it is the weekend catching up with me.
Don't need to cook tonight, have lasagna from Saturday night, chicken and Rita's pork chops, lots to ea but I had a hotdog at three and now not hungry..big grin, would be shaking ur fingers at the kids if they ate tha late and rund their supper.
Wonder how Susan made out today?

Kathy has the raise my baby swap open. Come and check it out!
Good morning all. Very quiet here today.
My baby brother turns 69 today and I swear he is in denial!!!! He seems to have a phobia about aging.... Me? I say "embrace it gracefully!!!"
And Norm has a b'day on Thursday. I need to get out by myself again and get him his present. I must go early as we are due to get all these storms that all of you have been going through. Then it will be off to the sewing again.
Sending get well wishes to all in need and waving to everyone~~~~~~
May we have a new room please? I'm flooded in, have been for days and will be for many more. Once we have a new thread I will post all that is going on here.
Miss you all!
Dianne
