As long as it clears for the drive home but not looking to promising.

Marion, that's a positive move forward..let's hope today is another sunshine day for her.

Jean, too bad there arent a lot of icons one could use, you could just post one rather than type and we could gab on with you. You are making headway though, Lordy hasn't it been 7 or 8 months hasn't it, long process to be sure. Am sure you've fretted as Mary has about the cold weather and what damage done to your gardens.

Going out for breakfast so best I start thinking of getting dressed.

Excellent choice of books by Katie for our Susan. You will love them Susan and I guarantee they will make you smile. I think Evanovich's first books in the series were her best. Lula just has me in stitches.I have her whole series and have been known to go back and reread when I need a smile.

Betty while it is disappointing it is raining at least it is not snow. There are flurries as I sit here and anywhere from 2 -5 cm in the forecast for overnight. How is Darlene's headache?

Pups are all fired up so I know there is snow coming. We finally got a decent walk in this morning and silly me thought it would tire them out. Oh no they are both wound up like tops.

Back from breakfast, must have been a new waitress at IHOP, lots of errors, had to bring food 3 times before it was right bit it was worth the wait. Overcast now and sun is sooo trying to come out.

Just got back from Tin City, took Darlene's vehicle, she wanted to do some packing, took ome friends..did a bit of shopping..ohhh saw the prettiest 2 piece blouse, higher end than I normally buy but Nancy said I just had to buy it. Lol so treated myself..going to a wedding this summer so can buy a dress pair of pants and I will be all set. Very chic for me!

I will enjoy the books, I'm sure.. and really love to read. Discovered, when Betty's dear son Greg put books on my e-reader, that I do like crime novels, and that's what these are :-)

Our wood is now GONEZO !! Last fire is ablase in the woodstove .. am hoping DH can scrounge some out from under one of the large snow drifts by the fire pit, it'll be a big job, Lorna may have to try semi plowing the snow out if she can!

Lorna is off to have her socket adjusted .. went to the gym yesterday and she had major PINCHING problems when she sat down on some of the equipment to work out ..
I have to have my blood work done

"M" you likely used up wood for 2 winters in one..poor Lorna,hopefully she doesn't have far to go for these tweaks.

Darlene is having a few bad days, in a lot of pain and is struggling to pack up, trying to help but nothing I can do until we start setting it in the car.

Hope Dar is feeling better by now.

Marilyn, I hope Lorna can get her tweaking just right. I'm sure you've said somewhere, but how are you related to her?

Not sure who asked me about Bill's INR numbers, but they were 2.2. A little low, but Dr. said keep on doing whatever you're doing!

Went out with girlfriends for a birthday celebration yesterday. One of my other friends and I went together and bought her a book on coleus. However, that friend was sick yesterday and she had the book! But I had gotten her something I knew she would love as a little extra. When she opened the bag she said I couldn't have gotten her anything more perfect! I got her two dozen farm eggs in all colors.

Lol, is the blue outfit for her as well Joyce?

On the chilly side here today and the winds is horrible once again!
A huge "baby step" in that Sue slept for 8 full uninterrupted hours last night. I don't know if they finally have enough anxiety medicine in her system or it was from shear exhaustion. The good part is she was able to sleep. One day at a time. I have managed to get her eating a little more regularly..small but that too is progress.

Every bit counts Marion..winds are up but what a gorgeous sunshine day, you must have sent it my way! Does Sue realize just how down she is and fighting everything you are trying?

Day is planned if weather cooperates..beach and out for supper at the Outback, mouth watering already.

Just got back from shopping, new runners and sandals, all set for spring

She does realize how bad she is and does try. Just really, really hard for her to think positive. Now that her system is finally get rid of one of the anti anxiety drugs, she is doing better. Took a while to figure out it was making her worse.

Sunshine here now but windy.

Would be a good day to go para sailing Marion

Just in from SHOVELING !!
Have gotten perhaps 3" of snow, but, it's still falling lightly .. temps in the mid 20s F

Lorna is off to a job interview at her old place of employment .. I am hoping she gets the job as head gardener/landscaper back, but, we also are aware the cemetery is concerned re safety issues especially around some of the machinery .. as well, cemeteries are tough places to work .. the ground LOOKS nice and plush and even, but, trust me, it's not ..
The only good thing is, she would pretty much be her own boss .. guess we'll see ..

VERY upsetting evening last evening, Murray (DS) called .. he is frantic as the job he is to go into is NOT what he had expected .. there have been SEVEN train masters in TWO years ! He would be #8.
Gord and I have told him to be true to himself .. not to feel bad if he can't stay .. his job here is still here .. he is so torn .. hate to see your child feeling this way.

So, Betty .. do you leave tomorrow? How's Darlene doing with the packing ?

I'm off to get a NEW 'DO' ..

That is what happened to Norm and I back in 1999. Norm accepted what was to be a fantastic job offer in Mew Mexico. We went from New Hampshire to New Mexico and were back home in three months. The job was NOT what he had been told and we ended up being miserable. We were sooooo glad to get back home and he went back to his old job. Best move was the one home again.

Overcast this morning, likely not a day at the beach but that is ok..when it does come out Icahn get its rays sitting here!

"M"' if Lorna worked for them before likely they know she would not undertake anything that would cause her more health issues..here is hoping she gets it if it's what she wants.

Better for Murray to see its not what he wants vs wait until they've replaced him in Thunder Bay.must be a little of you saying 'yeahhhh' lol. Am sure he will make the right decision..going and being unhappy makes for an unhappy family as well.

I also need a new 'do'. Can't believe how my hair has grown in two weeks..need a perm..looks really nice right now, just the way I like it but lots of work to try and keep the curl in.

As for packing up, yes, Darlene has everything in the vehicle except for odds/ends you can't pack up because you need them.

If it were I, I think I'd go out for early supper with the gang and then put in as many hours as we can...primarily so we don't end up in Atlanta around 4 or 5 when workers get off

Will have to have a look at driving hours and see what time we would have to leave to miss it.

Her mom is getting progressively weaker, my thoughts are that she is waiting for Darlene to get home before going to the Lord!

Well, let see...Great news. Sabrina Aced her final. I am so proud of her. It was no easy thing, as she has a real hard time "getting" things. She drove herself and us nuts getting ready for the test...Now she is working on the other, Writing a research paper...I am anxious to hear how far she is, hoping she's done. Not good but she is worse at last minute, and then we all go Banana's

Wow, as far as your Grandson...I have given this a lot of thought. I can't say how i would feel because i haven't gone through that situation.

LindaK, Murray was so disappointed, flustered, sad, unhapppy .. I didn't ask him much, DH and I just tried to get him through the decision making .. he feels so bad, hard to hear your grown son crying and alone ..
He has told them he will be coming back to Thunder Bay as he takes RAIL safety pretty darned seriously and will not work 16 hour days 6 days a week !!!
My heart breaks fo him .. Murray is a 'tender heart' .. loving and caring .. not a 'boat rocker ..
