I got some fabrics to make a new wall hanging and threads to match. I have not only been using up my fabrics but also my thread. Didn't realize my supply was so low!!! I'll show the wall hanging in a bit.....

Barb did the same last weekend, spent mega $$$ with nothing too exciting in my bag ..thread/batting/spray but regardless of all the nice fabric/patterns we have can't sew with no thread.

Went to JoAnn's yesterday to do a bit of stocking up. Had to laugh, asked for the spray adhesive for quilting and they just stood looking at me like I was talking gibberish. Found some on my own but it wasn't a brand anyone mentioned so I passed. I'll go next week to my LQS, don't need it just yet anyhow.

Betty in keeping with the joke Greg was having so much fun with perhaps you should suggest that Greg and Mel take your mam on a wee vacation stressing how wonderful it would be for DM to spend some time with her grands and greatgrands. lol I can see his face now.

Beautiful sunshine but bitter cold with howling winds. Long underwear definitely needed today. The sun has helped melt some of the ice on the lane and for that I am very thankful.

Hope M is not feeling too bad from her chemo on Friday.

Glad you got your day out Barb. Does the cold make it harder for you the breathe? I know Warren just couldn't go out when it was too cold or windy.

That is why I have been out so seldom this winter Dianne. I can't breathe either when it is cold or windy. I used to be able to go from the house into the garage into the car - no problems. Now I need to walk a ways to reach the car and by the time I get there I'm exhausted. No fun and not worth it to me.
But yesterday the temps nearly hit 50!!!! A bit breezy but not too bad as long as I covered my mouth and nose. I can't wait until the days are warm enough for me to just go!!!! We figured out that I have driven only one time since last Oct!!!!! Don't want to get in that groove where I can't drive.....
Hope all are well and having some sun today. Our temps drop starting tonight and remain cold all week.

Found some fresh rhubarb in the market yesterday and had strawberries in the freezer......yeap have the vanilla ice cream too! Kim is making chicken with spinach and feta cheese wrapped in phyllo dough for dinner to go with the dessert. Things are good!

I want to come to your house for dinner Marion. Wow it sure sounds good.

Wonder how "M" is doing with her chemo..knocks the heck out of her..wished it got easier the longer she takes it.

Cannot make it through a weekend without snow, wind just came up..if its going to snow why ot a snow day tomorrow.

Poor mom, she decided to go spend the night with aunt Muriel who hasn't been home all winter it decided to return today, mom thought it would be nice if she offered to spend the night. Mom waited several hours for aunt Muriel to get home..mom just called and said no sooner did mom get there that aunt Muriel said she was going to hocked and wouldn't be back till 10 or so..mom is kicking herself for ot going home..invited her back for supper it she passed and said she would just have a nap while waiting.

I did get the single quilt I did with leftover stash from a wedding quilt off the quilt frame,put binding on and now have something to play with for a few hours.

I've been in bed all day with a raging headache. No pain killers but aspirin which is not helping.

My friend Rafael just came by with fresh yellowtail for about $9 per kilo so I got two k's and am cooking one now. I didn't cover it and it's exploding all over the microwave.

Playing poker - badly - but it beats lying in bed moaning and groaning.

This too shall pass.

A type of tuna. We all like it and fresh tuna at about $4.00 a pound means we all get to eat some.

My headache has subsided. I finished 12th in the poker tournament, two out of the money.

All is fine in my lil piece of the universe, cold, but OK.

Was wondering what Mary meant by 'subbing'.? When I used to curl, we called replacing another curler who was unable to play 'subbing' .. I hope it isn't a typo for 'sobbing'.

Made it through another round of chemo .. it's 8 little pills that I take .. have tired 2 every 4 hours .. 4 in the morning and 4 at bedtime, but, just gulping the 8 pf them and going to bed seems to be the best idea.

Lorna and I renewed our passports today .. they are 'UP' in March .. $160. for 10 years .. hope I outlive it LoL

Have yet another bud whose Mom is not expected to live through the week .. feel bad as my friend is from way up north in Manitoba, and, is scheduled for a hip replacement on March 7 in Winnipeg .. she's here staying with her sister ..
Mom is in her 90s .. tough times ..

Anyway .. should rattle some pots n pans and get supper on the go ..

Glad to see you posting M. Yikes I didn't realize passport renewals had gotten so expensive....thank goodness I don't need to do that for about 7 more years. The age i will be then might just be I don't bother to renew. :-)

A beautiful day here after some really hard rains and high winds yesterday. Reports are saying we should be getting more tomorrow and Wednesday...we shall see.

I am interviewing at various area jobs.... working at my TV job fulltime and at La Divina Italian Cafe part time.

We had to close today they broke up the concrete and re-poured it .

We are blessed in so many ways. I had an LSU Student contact me...she wants to do all our social media for free as an intern project. Wow she is so spectacular.

DS22 is now not employed with us and looking for employment.

I do wish I could pay postage to get any books I sent out back to the shop... so if you have a copy it would be so special for me to pay for you to get the book back.... if not... no worries I'll just buy more copies.

the shop is doing okay of course no profits as of yet.

a few employee issues...we will need to work through the next week.

time to try to re=group and plan.
I had a flower in my back yard this weekend. IT has been a cruel winter.

Great to hear from Mary, thoughts are with her as she journies through her venture, which i KNOW will be a resounding success ..

Not saying much about the weather here .. suffice to say we have scads of snow , 8' banks + are common, makes driving treacherous when coming to a corner and trying to look for oncoming traffic.
COLD is still with us -35C at present.

Greg is coming over for a visit tonight , I fixed his pack sack with new strapping..he is now counting the hours for the Cain Quest endurance adventure.
