Wow Barb Marion really made Santa Warren smile. I know he was looking down. Actually I am positive he smiled several times during this exchange. Everybody has been so great about this exchange and I hope we can do Santa Warren again next year.

Old farmer down the road has passed so I will do my usual and offer to stay at their home during the wake and service. He was a sweet, gentle farmer. The world has lost another wonderful man. I am sure there is a new star shining in the sky tonight. I just can't handle funerals. Extremely bad experience as a child - I am not joking when I say it scarred me for life. When I was a kid my dad always took me to shine the shoes of the immediate family. That service usually isn't needed any more. Dad always said he wasn't good with words but polishing shoes is something he could do well.

Judy, party sounded fantastic. Number do not make a great get together - its the people who are there that do.

Exciting to be thinking of moving Thunder. Lots of options for you to weigh.

Just checked results of Westminster Dog show, not sure but think Innuk took Best of Breed for the 5th year..she says it will never be an American Eskimo dog winning best of show, at least not in her lifetime, too much politics. Hoping I didn't get on a previous years' site and mix things up

I seen a couple postings that Lake Superior has the ice caves this year that can be visited. They are beautiful but I'll pass.

Not much going on here. Ran to the library, post office, bank, to the farm for fresh eggs gathered weren't any) gave plasma and finally picked up,Chinese food for an early dinner. Sure tasted good, cause I'd skipped lunch!

Dianne she is having a rough go of it, hasn't been working at hospice because she had Jim there..has to wait 6 months before going back as a volunteer..she misses is! Mshe leaves in a few week for the islands, 2 week stay, sunshine will be good for her..when speaking with mom today mom mentioned it might have done her good to get away as well, told her what Sharon needs right now is alne time.

Had snow today as well..guess we have to look at the calendar and see that spring is just a few pages away.

Joyce, Rita is heating up stuffed peppers, now im hungry for Chinese. Miss that little Chinese place I took you and the girls on your last visit, they decided to close..was so easy to drop in and pick up a meal n my way home.

yes, Bob had a good first day at work today - "information Overload" he said lol
It will be from 8am to 3pm every day.
Gotta tell you though..... getting him home was a struggle...... I drove him to work, so I'd have the car, should I need it. Well, come time to pick him up, I put my coat on, walked out the door, locking it behind me...... but couldn't use the car, or get into the house, cuz I left my full bunch of keys on the kitchen counter! Good thing I had my cell phone, cuz I called Bob and asked him to get a ride with someone else (who knows what they thought, on his first day.....). Anyway, I ended up being in the porch for an hour. Good thing I didn't lock the porch door behind me - we have an easy chair in the porch, and although it isn't heated, it was better than the worst that could have happened lol

Oh Susan, I have done that before, ans sometimes we have a window cracked open, but sometimes we don't. Then I have to go to the neighbors and call Todd, or sit and wait for Todd to get home!

yeah, but it was minus 12C outside, and again - SO glad I was dressed warmly... and it was so boring!! lol
My neighbours have a key to our place, but they were out...... 90% of the time, the husband is home (retired, disabled) and she's at work, but........ not this time lol

I watched Inuk last night. He is such a handsome man. What a difficult job those judges have trying to pick winners from all those magnificent animals.

Ohhhh we won more medals today, ahead by 2 I believe..one gold today was won by a young lady from Huntsville, just north of me..listened to her grandpa being interviewed this morning, sooo proud and who can blame him.

Thunder, my gosh, what a 'treasure trove' of gifties .. just wonderful.

Haven't been posting much .. Fridays chemo kick my butt .. was out yesterday, and got bit in the butt, AGAIN, cracked my lower right molar :-(
Have a dental appt today at 4pm to figure out what happens next .. am SO hoping it can be filled (altho the thought sickens me)
AND .......... I 'THINK' I have 'PINK EYE' .. fer cripes sake .. was only one eye giving me a problem .. now it seems the other is looking blood shot and rimmed in pink ...
Sorry I'm such a downer, but, I is what I is .. and, truthfully, up until 18 months ago I was probably healtheir than most ..

Just looked at wee Herman's pic, what a handsome baby .. my neice named her son Zeke ! Short for Ezekeile (sp) .. as long as he's healthy and happy that's the most important thing.
