Yeah stil cold here too. It is very sunny. We have such a thick layer of ice on our back porch my husband tried to chip some of it off but it is hard as a brick. So hejust threw some more salt up there and it is dripping much faster now. Inside and out. We are going out with some friends for a 30th anniversary tonight. Will be fun im sure. Have a great rest of the weekend. Ronna

I printed out an article on mulch for my son, he is going to do gardening over at his girlfriends. He is trying to con me out of some potting soil, but it isn't working. She can buy her own soil. She has a nice area for a small garden, one that I would love, but she isn't into any of the gardening things. I'm cleaning out around my sorry looking lemon tree and going to put pine needles around it and hoping to keep down the weeds and keep in the moisture. Then I discovered my spray paint again and going to freshen up some things. I had this small Buddah statue that really was ugly. It is now a pretty gold Buddah and so much better looking. I went through this spray paint phase a few years ago and started painting everything in sight. I'm now thinking of trying to build a small grotto. I have a lot of small stones so getting some ideas off the web.

I guess we are already in summer, no sign of any rain coming our way. One newscaster said this is the worst drought in 100 years. Farmers up in Northern California are really suffering.

had a nice visit with Cookie. Love the girl talk. We had fun and chuckles with coffee and cheesecake , breakfast of champions i say.
snow and cold here. not much fun. :(
watching the Olympics. hockey.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Coffee and cheese cake sound good. I just had an apple cinnamon muffin with my coffee, pretty good but 2 dogs begging for a taste. Can't get away from them if there is food around.

Going out to play in the sunshine. Sorry ladies that I can't ship some to you. Soon, you will be welcoming the nicer weather...I HOPE.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

We have sunshine, beautiful day just darned cold. Great day for sledding though, all the gang is over at the hill now. They'll come in hungry so starting dinner.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear you and cookie had a nice visit Sue.

Weather is nice here. 70 degrees today.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Ronna, Happy Anniversary!! 30 years is a milestone!!

Any products for gardening ain't cheap anymore Pegi. You're right, not to share your stuffs. When she has to pay, maybe she'd take gardening serious.
Price of pine straws keep going up here. Each year, I managed to harvest quite a bit for my own use, and just get a few bales. The ice storm had brought down some trees.. looks like I need to budget for more bales this year.
Gold Buddha is the norm for those Buddhists. Supposed to bring you good luck!

What's for dinner Karen? I've never sled.. nor ski. Did try water skiing.. couldn't haul myself up!

Sue, I envy you. So nice to spend time with Cookie who's such an upbeat person!
One of you need to move down here!! LK?? SIs Kathy?? Marion??? I'll even provide the cheesecake!

It's one pleasant day today.
Windows are up. Indoor cats fought for the ledges and sunbeams. Didn't do much, wanted to remove the tree limbs off the grounds, but Kel isn't much to working outside. He's catching up on sleep he says, yet his eyes are glued to his Android!

Company has left for home all had a good time. We had chicken I got the recipe for on FB. It has cheddar cheese and crushed Ritz crackers on it. Almost all was eaten so I guess all thought it was good .

I never had any luck water skiing either. Too much drag I guess. My sister too, said it was the first time she had a 40 mile an hour douche.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh Karen! LOL!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

So glad Sue found some time for me. This Winter is dragging and good friends and sistahs help to tolerate it without killing anyone!

got my lottery ticket. Thought i would give it a try LOL
im so craving that cheesecake we ate Cookie LOL .
More nasty weather coming in tomorrow.
got the approval to join the Ymca from Tim. Im looking forward to it. Kids and i can do more things together . they have a inside pool also. Then tennis in the summer.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh dear Karen. Since your sister put it that way.... LOL!!!

Sue, YMCA is a great place for the kids. The one in Singapore is always organizing some events that whole family can participate.

Not you, Cookie. You don't have a mean bone in your body.
Maybe you could build a snowman and do this to it!

Oh that chicken sounds wonderful. Ritz crackers and cheese? My hubby would love it. Might try it tonight. Heaven love the voodoo snowman! Pretty funny. It is how we feel around here for sure. The anniversary was not for us it was for some special friends of ours. We have been married only 12 years. But thanks any way. We had a date night last night went and seen Monuments Men. Late I had to work until 7 movie started ate 840. I am not used to staying up til almost 11. But it was nice. Just the hubby and I. A big ole bag of popcorn and a corn dog.... haha.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Recipe is easy: Cut boneless, skinless chicken breasts into 3 pieces. Dip in milk (I add egg as it seems to hold better) then shredded cheddar, then crushed Ritz crackers. Cover with foil. Into oven 400 for 40 mins. Uncover for another 15 mins to crisp. Sauce: 1 can Cream of Chicken soup, 1 Tbs. sour cream, 1 Tbs butter. Heat in sauce pan while stirring. Spoon over chicken before serving.
There will be left over cheese and crackers, I mix them together and sprinkle over the top, all enjoyed the extra "goodies". BTW it is just as good without the sauce as with in MHO.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That sounds good!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh Ronna, you'd reach that 30 years too!! Anyway, you're still in honeymoon mode!

I need to try that Karen. Kel loves anything cheesy. I'd want to do that with extra sharp cheddar.

Good morning sistahs.
Need to know whether any one of you ever experienced a non physical visit from anyone who lives too far from you?
I had, two days ago. Another BFF who lived in Louisiana. She was standing in my living room for just a couple of minutes with a huge smile.
Just found out from her daughter's FB wall that she died this morning.
That terrible "C" killed her, but she got the last laugh. She's with our Lord.

She was my ex' nephew's ex wife.
She's also one of our marriage's witnesses. My first American friend .. and partner in crime.
So many good memories created, but I am glad, that when I accepted Jesus, she did too.
Right there, the evidence that our Lord knows what's best for her.

Kel said I need to call her up when I told him of the visit. But you know how it is.. intentions sometimes get waylaid.

Before this day is over, I want to tell my sistahs.. Barb, Ronna, Sue, LK, Thunder, Sis Kathy, Marion, Susan, Pegi, Karen, Cody, Synda, Cookie, Judy, Liz, Faye, Carole, Betty, Lanakila, Cindy... Katie Bear.. I love you.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Love you too Jaye! Sorry for your loss!

I have never had that happen, but have had very vivid dreams like that!
Years ago, my Mom had a vision like that. We were visiting some friends, and all of a sudden, Mom stopped talking for a few minutes. We asked her what was going on, and she said she just saw her Mom standing there. Her Mom was in Washington State then. When we got home, she called her Mom, only to find out she passed about the same time Mom saw her.

OMG ,I am turning into my Granny Snair ........she used to say "I am going to stretch across the bed and rest my eyes for a spell ......LOL" .Well I haven't taken a nap in two days and I feel like crap !! I miss my Granny so much ,if she was still here we could stretch across the bed and rest our eyes for a spell together ......LOL.

I feel so bad Rick and I decided to set/half lay in bed and watch TV at 6:30 pm and we both fell a sleep before Ryan left for work at 7:15 pm ,then I woke up at 8:30. I hate not telling him to have a good night at work and I love him !

Jaye ,I Love You and all My Extended Sistah's of My Soul on here ! I wish I could help to ease your grief ! I know that feeling of being left behind to relive the memories alone in my head !

I'm great for falling asleep in front of the TV, I guess that is probably why I don't watch too much of it any more. Went to bed early last night and then I had such a restless night. Seems if I go to bed late I sleep throughout the rest of the night.

DH had chemo treatment today and his PSA did come down a couple points. There is a new drug out approved by the FDA and doctor is thinking about trying on him. It is an injection once a month with chemo & radiation. I found an article on it on line so printed it out so I can read up about it. It has to be done at the hospital in the nuclear medicine dept. DH & doctor will decide in 3 weeks which way his treatment will go. Sometimes I think reading up on certain things is a little scary. He is starting to gain a little of his weight back, eating more these days. I usually see older people having chemo, but one time there was a very young man getting a treatment and that saddens me.

Weather has cooled down a little but warmer days are coming again.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Hope today is a good one for you Jaye.... Love you.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I very rarely watch TV for that very reason. Even the Olympics, I will stand and watch for a while but if I sit down, I zonk right out. Same thing with reading, puts me right to sleep.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!
Pegi, glad to hear his numbers are coming down! Praying they continue that path!
I agree, it is pretty scary reading about some of these meds on the market today! Even the commercials on tv, give the warning, some may cause death! If they know that why to they make them?
Barb, how are you doing today?
