Be warned, those problems I've been having with the 'net? They might return.
Well, Kel and the phone company got into it last night complaining that for a year now we've been getting very unsatisfactory service.
They sent the top mechanic just now without warning, and after trying to find fault with us.. too many cats.. wires exposed.. etcetra.. he gave up and admitted the wires are okay.. the cats well behave (lol).. he checked the phone 'boxes' outside and called the head office in our presence and said he found nothing wrong IN our house.
He's perplexed why our speed test kept being at 1 instead of 10. For the first two months since we bundled, they compensated us, but stopped after that. Even when Kel kept complaining. This is the only phone company that services our area. Now that the senior mechanic had confirmed it's them, for sure we want some refund!

The mechanic had stopped my service for an hour to fix this!!! Now I'm getting 5! Better 5 than 1 and I'm able to visit more sites, like LK's and Carole's sites and the sewing sites and MidSouth... Without the frustrations of slow speed and getting kicked off!!!

I need compensation for the stress caused when I try to go on DG and Cubits.

Got good news this morning. The supervisor of the phone company has agreed to compensate us.
She's giving us $10 off our bill for the next 2 years!!! Would be nice if we get that at one time so I can have some money in April! But, we'll take that!!!
Yes I was happy roaming, enjoying Youtube videos without any hiccups and best of all, no more finding something else to do while waiting for the download!

I don't need Bailey's Sis. You can have my share. I'm very happy today!

I have not felt well for the last few days .......that dreaded fibro and Ohio weather ! Ya just have love it ! Doctor says the only place that is good for people like me is Arizona ,well that won't ever happen .Just having warm weather would help ! We got between 8-10 " of snow and ice the other night from that storm .And now they are saying another storm this weekend .....yay ,I'm soooo excited....LOL......NOT !!!!!!!!

Rick has even brought in carry-out the last few evenings for dinner ( that is what he considers by him cooking ,silly man ) although I wish we could afford for " him " to cook everynight .....LOL .The first night he got precooked chicken from the local grocery .It's really good ,they make it fresh as you order .And the second night Chinese and between the two nights there were leftovers so thats what we had last night !

Will try and get back later to check in ,I'm think I may go work in the garden harvesting some snowballs ......LOL.

news from me - well, Bob got a callback on the job he applied for - caretaker. They don't want to offer that position, BUT want him to come in, in 45 min to discuss a Warehouse position! yaaaay
I have an interview tomorrow with Telus - Customer Service position.
Keep your prayers and thoughts for us to get a good job......
Oh, and we sold Bob's truck - so have $1k more to put on way-overdue bills - yaaaaaay! Fella came by yesterday to pay us the balance of our portion, and gave us the receipt from the bank :-) So, all's said & done..... except for the truck not being towed as yet. BUT, no more $690/month for the loan!

Synda, hope you feel better soon. I feel bad for those who have to endure the horrible winter when we aren't suffering from cold but lack of rain. Looks like rain out there, but nothing yet.

Susan, it is always a relief when we can get rid of bills. Everything is always left up to me and I sure can stress out when bills arrive.

I sent in the proof the franchise tax board wanted of our income. I'll bet I get another one next year. I've always had to watch our budget, but the city gives us discounts on utilities and that helps a lot. Can't help that the mortgage company is so greedy. LOL

Going over to Costco later and first thing I'm doing is getting prices on computers. DH never goes in the store with me so he won't know my sneaky ways.

Susan, do you guys have another vehicle to get back and forth to work?

Wow Susan thats great news you sold the truck. That is a big weight off your shoulders I bet. The only baileys I use is some creamer, I found at the store. Lol. My job has been slow and I am kinda worried about the out come of the hospital I work for. I have a phone interview with another hospital in kalamazoo on monday. Funny how they want to start with a phone interview huh? I really have to reach way down jnside and think do I really want to leave my current job? The answer is no I do not. But I guess I will see what they have to say. I really do like my job I have right now. Just been so many missed days cause of low patient status. Am really torn. I am rambling on I know.

Ronna, if there are lots of jobs where you're at, you could turn in resumes. I guess bed occupation in hospitals are like the weather. Unpredictable. In the meantime, all I can say is, pray and wait on the Lord.
Our local hospital has laid off hundred during the course of one year. You can say service is lacking.

Morning everyone!

Please say prayers for my Niece Ashley. She is in the hospital in labor with her 2nd child. She lost her first little girl a few years ago, and we are all praying for an easy and healthy child. Her due date was the 18th, but she went into labor early this morning. So far, Dr.'s say everything is looking good.

Sending Prayers For Ashley and Baby !

When does life give ya a break ? Another very close lifelong friend passed away this morning ........that make 3 family members and 3 close lifelong friends in the past year and half . I'm so very sad !!!!!!!

Sue so understand about winter depression....that and dealing with my sister since mom's passing just doesn't help. However, I am thinking positive as she has finally gotten into counciling and I am making myself get up and do. Well as much as I can until the issues with my hands are resolved. Nerve damage problems possibly result of carpal tunnel surgery in '03 and '05. Ah the joys of aging.....but that applies to someone else NOT me! LOL

Marion I have the same issues with my hands, I find that the wrist supports I bought a few years ago help a lot. Especially when lifting things or cutting fabric. Avail at medical supply stores and even some drug stores. Just be sure you can try them on first. Mine have a curved metal bar inside which supports my hand and wrist and keeps me from over flexing them.

I have those for both wrist and wear them at night...always. The problem is the nerves are causing me not to have feelings in a couple of fingers and sharp pains that nothing seems to relieve. Go the 18th for more testing with the neurologist. I have been keeping Salonpas on the painful areas but after awhile they stop working. I have been trying to work on my birdhouse blocks but it just is so slow with not much feeling....ah, old age is wonderful. Then again, who is old, certainly NOT me! :-)

Marion, I used to have the same thing, my chiro used acupuncture, and the numbness is gone. It came from a pinched nerve in my shoulder.

All I can say is getting old is better than the alternative. But sometimes not a lot.

Who's getting old, not me no. I'm enjoying the arthritis that's setting in my bones.. the creaks I hear.. the GERD that's getting worse.. and losing more memory cells. If you believe that, I got a beach condo in Arizona!!

Marion, strange you mentioned how the pain returns even after having ct surgery. My ex complained of the same thing.

Karen, I will have to get the wrists support. Was using that years ago when signs of carpal turnnel starts showing up. I took extra B6 too besides bananas. Got to start retaking B6.

LK, if acupuncture helps you, good! No need for invasive surgery.

You ladies are just too young to have so many problems. I'm thankful when I was in my 50's and even 60's I didn't have much more than back aches. Don't go beyond 60 as things begin to fall apart. Grateful to have gotten this far without too much damage to my body. Love and Hugs to all.

Computer running OK today, but I guess I shouldn't hold my breath. Running so slow that soon it may start going backward.

Got some rain yesterday and wishing it had continued through today. Temps. in the 60's so it is cool out. I shouldn't have read about health issues in my Mayo clinic message as it said when cancer spreads to bones in prostate cancer that is stage 4. Going to have to talk to oncologist and see if he can ease my worries.

Linda what a beautiful baby boy. Sorry for all the losses and pains everyone has. Worked to day and tomorrow also. I think I got a peanut butter fudge cake recipe from this thread. A while ago. Made it at work today for the cafeteria desseet. It was very easy to make and it looks amazing. Will try it tomorrow when I cut it up. Thanks for the recipe. Anybody else has easy recipes? I like to try new thing for sure. Have a great weekend all.
